FOUND TIP UPDATE. fixed separation and caking issue

Posted here about a week ago. My foundation was separating and caking around my nose while I was applying it. Got some good tips in the comments and managed to fix that!

Previous post

I didn't change my skincare nor products I originally used. I did implement some extra products and steps tho.

I waited 15min after skincare. Then. I applied smoothing primer with same base as my foundation (elf poreless putty primer). Waited a bit, applied thin layer of power grip elf. Waited for it to dry. Then, mixed my foundation 50:50 with my moisturiser and applied a thin layer with flat brush in sampling motion. Applied rest of my cream products. Sprayed my face with milani "make it last original", waited for it to dry. Then I powdered my face as always with easy bake from huda. Applied rest of powder products. Then one more spray with milani, waited for it to dry again and finished off with loreal infallible fixing spray.

I still have natural texture but no more caking or separation. My base looks and feels amazing (at least in my opinion).

Thank you all again for useful tips, appreciate it!

(and yes, my lips are hella dry, don't mention that 😩)

DISCUSSION How is this look? Too much?

For my base, I used a full coverage matte foundation with warm bronzer and contour to sculpt my cheeks.

I made my eyes the main focus with a sharp black wing, a smoked out lower lash line, warm brown eyeshadow, and big false lashes.

I finished it off with a 90s matte ombre lip using a dark brown liner and a lighter nude lipstick in the center.

HELP PLEASE Better or Worse?

Okay, so I posted here yesterday looking for some advice on my make up. I was playing around today trying to find a look that works for my Halloween costume. I’m aware it’s not very Halloweeny, but it’s a lot darker than what I’m used to.
Anyway, I thought this might be a bit more of a autumnal look for me?

I wanted to try some bolder colours like a lot of you suggested, but I don’t have anything at the moment. I’m planning to go shopping at the weekend for some things a bit more out there. So for now, I have just had to play with what I’ve got, which isn’t a lot 😭

I tried to change my eyebrows a little bit and not brush them so upwards although I have still done it a little bit. So tips and product recommendations for this very welcome please and thank you!

I tried using some highlighter which I like, but I may have gone a bit crazy with…

For my lips I had to use a lip liner I already had, which was too bright red and a brown eyeliner. I like the colour combination, but it doesn’t sit very well because of the mixing of products. So hopefully I can find a similar shade when I go shopping.

I’m not 100% sure how I feel about this make-up. I don’t know if I feel confident going out in it. But I was just trying to mess around and attempting to take on some of your advice and recommendations. Which I really appreciate so thank you to all of you! 💕

For starters, I’m a full face kinda girly! I’ve had the same exact makeup routine for quite some time now and while I do really enjoy it, I’m always open to recommendations on how I can make it better. Thank u :)

I feel like my makeup ages me...although I try to keep up with what is considered "trendy" and "youthful". Any suggestions? My eyebrows are super blonde so I have to use brow tint. Also have sun damage, I think. Tanning was a big deal when I was in high school and college. 🫤

Lately I’ve been feeling pretty chopped and not happy with my makeup. I’m looking for some advice on what makeup would suit my natural features instead of simply following what styles I like on other people :P

HELP PLEASE how to make my skin look less ashy?

with and without makeup on my skin.

I feel like my upper lip/mouth area is so ashy both with and without makeup, but i’m not sure how to correct this. I use a vitamin c serum (Goodal vita-C) for hyperpigmentation but it doesn’t really help.

Also, i’ve never used color corrector before, and I’m not sure what color i would have to use if i did 😭 I’d like to use it under my eyes too. Looking for any advice!!

HELP PLEASE please help a late makeup bloomer

Hi, all. For the longest time, I have been a no or minimal makeup person. I have collected plenty of products but do not often use them. My collection includes a bunch of shadows and shimmery things, and eyeliners that I don’t use. I don’t do much concealing, but there are some trouble areas that I could do without. My go-to has been to brush or gel my brows, black mascara, mayyybe some light coverage tint and/or blush, and lip balm. I have more recently discovered that I like cream products because I can apply by hand, and they tend to look more natural and hydrating on my combo/tending to dry skin. Stylistically, I feel like when I see “french” and “off duty model” makeup looks, and anything that is supposed to look natural or fresh, I like it. But I also am not someone who expects to wear makeup but not look like I’m wearing any.

Now, I look at my collection and sort of hate everything I have, and also realize that I never really developed the skills to do everyday or special occasions looks. When I actually set myself to the task of applying makeup that includes coverage and eye color, I always feel like it turns out the same no matter the technique. And it doesn’t feel flattering, or natural.

Ideally, I would like a no-fail everyday natural look with a few products, and also maybe an education on techniques and placement for my face. What can I try? What is not working for me? All feedback appreciated!

The pictures include a recent “full face”, and bare face. The makeup was done before an on camera meeting that I didn’t want to look dead for, and is much more than I usually would do. I used a tinted moisturizer, cream blush, powder highlight, brow gel, mascara, peachy liner on waterline, and a kind of brown/mauve eyeshadow. I felt it looked dated.

HELP PLEASE Do you put primer everywhere or just where your pores are noticeable?

My friend gifted me the milani blur out primer but I’ve never used primer before lol. My pores are mostly noticeable around my nose and cheeks so do I just apply it there or spread a little everywhere? Also do I moisturize first, then apply primer, then foundation?? Should I wait between each step? I have dry skin and I’m a little lost on the order

HELP PLEASE Tips for my boring make up.

I feel like my make-up is really boring at the moment, I’ve been doing more or less the same look for years now. I have naturally deep set under eyes and they’re a bit dark so I always look tired. There’s not a hole that I can do about that. But something about my make-up just isn’t hitting anymore? It feels boring and I’m not sure what to do with my eye make-up.

I’ve added some pictures of my everyday make-up in different lighting, small amount of foundation, blush, little bit of sparkly eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. I just brushed my eyebrows. I’ve also added a picture of the last time I went out and did a full face and it’s basically the same as my everyday make-up just a bit heavier. How flipping boring. 😭 (the picture of the glasses on is no make-up apart from mascara. And the picture at the end is the last time I went out.)

I have to be careful of using bronzer etc because otherwise it looks funny when you see my face compared to my body 😂 but what else can I do to liven up my look. I like having a winged eyeliner but feel a bit lost with eyeshadow colours at the moment. I also end up using a fair bit of blush to brighten up my face. If I ever do a full make-up look and try a smoky eye it just makes me look really tired. So please give me tips for pale girls!!!
I’d love to look all juicy and plump with dreamy eyes 😅 but at the moment I just look tired and boring.

HELP PLEASE Makeup not sitting well

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi so as you can see my makeup isn’t sitting the best. I’m trying to get back into makeup again after years of not bothering. I never remembered my makeup sitting like this before just seems to highlight all the imperfections in my skin. Also didn’t realise how hairy my peach fuzzies had become. Is this normal?

Any tips on how to get my makeup to sit more smoother? Even my eye makeup looks bobbly as well.

Makeup and skin care used

Vita skin collagen serum
The ordinary peptide eye serum
Mixa urea cream (tiny amount)

Rimmel London foundation with the red cap(can’t remember the name right now)

Barry m setting powder

Dior rosy glow blush

Rimmel London mega eyes eye pallet in the blush colour wave.

PRODUCT REC Blushes with the same colour as benetint?

I absolutely love the shade of the Bene tint blush and lip tint but because I need to use a brush to apply it I feel like I use too much product for the end result. Are there any blushes out there on the market that give off the exact same shade
