Cheers! I built my PC a year ago and am now getting weird flickers and checkerboards across my screen. I was about to send my monitor back to acer thinking it was it due to some testing and hopeful denial. But using a TV it finally did the same shit. Did some more testing, doesn't show up on my switch 2 at all. So its unfortunately the something with the GPU, but whether that's drivers or hardware I have no idea.
It started a while ago when I updated my drivers to the latest Kisak Mesa Fresh, I chalked it up to the games being poorly optimized again. Lately its gotten so bad to were it appears outside of games on my desktop. I can legit open steam and have it look like it was on a LSD trip. I have tried uninstalling the drivers with
sudo apt install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:kisak/kisak-mesa
But they're still occurring despite better performance in games ironically.
I have no idea what to do, frankly
