Full disclosure, this is my own book.
Carl Karadonis lost everything, his gym, his family, himself, and ended up invisible on the streets of New York. One night he goes into the East River. What comes out has a sentient shark for a left arm.
We hit 41% in the first 12 hours. Rewards start at $10.

Hey everyone! I know questions in this vein are asked all the time, and I apologize for the repetition. I'm not really asking how to fix this, but more ao wondering if this is the new normal.
This is my 3rd campaign. I'm an indie author, and special editions tend to do very well on kickstarter. Both of my previous campaigns (one in summer 2024, one summer 2025), funded within 12 hours max. My funding goals were both lower tha my current one, but I saw a steady stream of initial backers on day 1-3, had the middle lull, and then had an influx of backers the final few days. This was normal, this is what you could expect.
This time around, I have raised 50% of my campaign on day 1 and now, on day 2, ot has been crickets. I have had 2 pledges early this morning, and nothing else. In the past, day 2 was almost equally as active as day 1. It was very formulaic.
What I am wondering is if backer habits have changed, if launching in a different season has an impact, or any other factors that would be explaining this change.

The essence of the game is a choose-your-own-adventure style of visual novel, where your choices, successes and failures shape a heavily branching story. You pick one of six starting characters and guide them through their late childhood choices, and then try and rise in the criminal underworld.
The genre has been growing over the past few years with titles like Slay The Princess, A Legionary's Life, The Banner Saga, and the Citizen Sleeper series. I wanted to tell the story of life in the urban cores around the time I was growing up, and provide a completely novel experience to this group of gamers. The existing demo (free on Steam now!) features a great deal of new ideas around storytelling and game mechanics, as well as familiar concepts from the genre.
If you loved shows like The Wire, Breaking Bad, or games like GTA or Schedule I, pledge now and help make it a reality!

Hello fellow adventurers,
Today we are excited to share another extended preview of Mythological Items, now live on Kickstarter!
This is our new D&D 5E and 2024-compatible manual dedicated entirely to magic items inspired by myths, legends, and ancient stories from around the world.
Inside the book, you will find 300+ mythological magic items, including weapons, armor, wondrous items, and scaling items designed to grow alongside your characters and campaigns.
Our goal with Mythological Items is to create more than a simple collection of treasure. Each item is designed to feel like part of a myth: something that can serve as a reward, a quest hook, or even the center of an entire adventure.
The book includes items inspired by many different mythological traditions, including Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Asian, American, Roman, Mesopotamian, African, and other mythologies from across the world. Whether you want divine weapons, cursed artifacts, heroic relics, monster-themed treasures, or legendary items tied to ancient stories, this book is built to bring myth directly to your table.
The Kickstarter page includes a full presentation of the project, several previews, and a free 30-page PDF preview showing a sample of the content from the book.
You can also find many of our other manuals in PDF and high-quality print editions, with special prices currently available both for Mythological Items and for all our other releases.
You can visit the Kickstarter page here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mythoschronicles/300-mythological-items-for-5e-and-2024
Thank you again for your support. We hope to see you on our journey!

Hi all! I've been part of this subreddit for a while (though not necessarily on this account), and it's finally time to share our game with you!
Period Party is a bold experiment to see whether we can use the fun and power of play to open up more conversations about menstruation.
It's not a game just for girls or teenagers, and it's not intended to be an educational game. It's a chaotic trick-taking card game for everyone, including people who might not think this topic has anything to do with them! We've put so much thought into both the gameplay and the world of Menstru-Nation, where 25 fantasy characters have their own period stories to tell.
Making a game about periods hasn't been easy. There's been a real uphill battle. Because to challenge the stigma around periods, we have to confront that stigma ourselves first.
Additionally, we hope Period Party can inspire others to pursue their own unusual ideas, even when those ideas seem a little wild!
We're currently live on Kickstarter, and we'd love for you to check it out! The campaign is ending in 6 days (October 22nd).

Please let us know if you have any questions about our game or our journey!

Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about launching a tech product on Kickstarter in the future, but there's something I'm trying to figure out.
How do you actually get people to find your project when you're just starting out and don't have a big audience?
Do you guys usually build an audience before launching, use social media, paid ads, or just rely on Kickstarter itself?
Would love to hear what actually worked for you, especially if you've launched a physical product before.

Hi everyone,
My wife and I are a two-person studio in Madrid, and on Tuesday, October 20, we’re launching our first Kickstarter: Kingdoms of Ink.
It’s a set of rubber stamp kits for drawing tabletop RPG world maps. There are three kits of 16 stamps each: high fantasy, a post-apocalyptic wasteland and an 80s small town. The idea is to build the world beyond the dungeon right at the table, stamping villages, forests, ruins and roads as the players explore, instead of spending hours prepping a map they might never visit.
Every stamp starts as a hand drawing. We trace it digitally, laser cut it and mount it on bevelled, varnished wood. The kits work on plain paper or hex paper, and you can colour the maps afterwards with watercolours or markers.
Some of you gave us feedback on our page a couple of weeks ago, and it really helped. Thank you. We’re at 220 followers now, and the goal is €4,000, with delivery planned for February 2027.
If it sounds like your kind of thing, you can follow the project here and get a notification on launch day:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kingdomsofink/kingdoms-of-ink
Happy to answer any questions about the stamps, the process or running a first campaign as a tiny team.

Twist the top knob to set 5, 10, 15, 25, or 45 minutes. It stays still while you focus, then uses its six little legs to walk in place when the countdown ends.
It gives you a fun, physical reminder without making you pick up your phone and risk getting distracted. StepTimer also comes in six colors, with magnetic ears and optional hats and a plant-pot rack.
More than 290 backers have joined us, and we’re approaching our $20,000 stretch goal, which will upgrade every backer’s shell to injection-molded ABS at no extra cost.
Which color would you put on your desk?

Happy Friday, everyone. I haven’t promoted my game on this sub much, but since we’re one week out and (decently) close to our funding goal, I thought I’d put it out there.
Sands of Crime is a push-your-luck dice and card game where desert gangs compete to steal and spend loot. All the art was done by my wife. Hope you’ll check it out.

Happy Friday! We're back with a new and improved self-promotion Kickstarter post. Thank you to everyone who took the time to look at our campaign over the past week and especially to those who gave us so much incredible feedback. We were able to fold some of that feedback into our campaign over the past couple days and it seems to have made an immediate impact! We will keep working to refine the campaign and work more of your feedback and suggestions into our Kickstarter. Thank you!
One of the biggest and most exciting changes we made to the campaign was to introduce BOOSTER PACKS! Yes, you read that right, booster packs are now available as an add-on at all reward levels when you back our campaign. The booster add-on is a 3-pack of 15 card booster packs, and the booster box contains 30 booster packs.
Back to the campaign itself: we're raising funds to pay for a fat juicy print run of cards, with the reward tiers being complete, pre-made decks that are ready to play straight out of the box. If gruesome monsters playing sports sounds like something that's up your alley, then by all means please click the link and share with your friends. But hey, even if it's not up your alley, feel free to share our campaign with your friends anyway!
A little more about the game: Monsterball is a collectable trading card game of both skill and luck designed for two players. The game is quick to learn, but with a unique set of mechanics that gets away from the played-out power/toughness/energy cost trope that defines so many TCGs and a battle system that will keep you on your toes no matter who you're playing against. You can find a quick and dirty overview of the game on our Kickstarter page and find an ever-growing collection of more in-depth tutorials and gameplay videos on our YouTube channel.
Please! visit and share our Kickstarter campaign, we really appreciate all your feedback and support!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sanpoustudios/monsterball-a-collectible-trading-card-game
Disclosure: I'm one of the actual creators of Monsterball, not just some schmuck from a marketing and consulting firm. This game came from my brain, I play it pretty much every day with people in my community and I genuinely appreciate your support! I'm sharing this as a creator and human being.

Hi! My name is Kuda. I'm an animation director originally from Zimbabwe.
My sister and I launched the campaign for our Action Fantasy anime pilot over a week ago.
It centers 18 year old Shingai, who enters the first ever tournament of totems to prove himself. But on the FIRST DAY of this televised event... MURDER.
Now Shingai has to fight 9 of the most dangerous Totem Users in the country - friend and foe - and one of them is the killer!
Adapting it from our published Manga, we have an extended edition of the first Volume in one of the first tiers to get you into the story before watching the pilot.
We're 31% funded so far with 66 backers out of 500+ followers.
Join us in making history by backing OUR CAMPAIGN

Here's the campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jacoposchena/the-rescue-ledger
I flaired this as self-promotion to avoid any issues.
How would you approach marketing a project that (hopefully) sounds well thought out and sensible after reading the campaign, but seems absolutely insane at a glance?
I don't want to lean too much on Piql, the company that will take care of the technical aspects of the archive (it's the company behind the Arctic World Archive). They work with UNESCO and other high-profile clients, and I have no intention of "affecting" their public perception until my project is more widely accepted, as they've been absolutely amazing with me.
Meta ads have been OK (great CTR,but that's expected given the bonkers premise), but I need to find a different way to bring awareness. Any ideas?
Besides that, do you have any feedback on how the campaign is structured?
Thanks!

The main reason some people come here is to promote their projects and hopefully find backers, but does that actually happen? Or are we all just here hoping to get our own projects promoted?
Have any of you actually become part of a community you discovered here and backed one of its projects?

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and having a great week!
Last week, we launched Numeraeon: Tales of the Old East on Kickstarter! After a great week, we have unlocked our first stretch goal!
What is Numeraeon? Numeraeon: Tales of the Old East is a 5E-Compatible supplement for DnD, but it is also so much more. Years of research went into examining frontier legends, urban legends that shape our world, and, of course, cryptids. Our campaign offers a digital PDF and physical case-bound book with interior end-sheets for Numeraeon: Tales of the Old East. However, we also offer seven physical models depicting our reimagined cryptids and urban legends, a commemorative coin, cloth fabric canvas poster, and more!
It should be noted that everything that we are offering has been prototyped and produced already in advance of our campaign.
My company is a start-up and 5E gave me a space to tell stories, I am so grateful for the community support and everyone who has backed the project. We aren't a big company or anything like that, and years of work went into preparing Numeraeon for Kickstarter.
We truly hope that you will come celebrate Halloween with us on Discord and check out project on Kickstarter.

Sharing our campaign on promo Friday. Before building anything, I spent months talking with towing companies, salons, contractors and restaurants. I started out pitching websites, and most of them passed: they relied on word of mouth or didn't have the budget. The line I kept hearing was "I just want my phone to ring."
The same problems kept showing up: - Google profiles were half filled out, with a handful of reviews and barely any photos. - Their website was outdated, or they didn't have one at all. - When someone nearby searched for what they do, they weren't on the first page.
So we built SitePeek, an affordable marketing system that gets local businesses onto the first page of Google and brings in more calls. It does two things. Local SEO gets the business found: we build out the Google Business Profile and give them a free, modern website. Then conversion and lead follow-up turn those visitors into actual calls and customers.
With one early client, a towing company, tracked calls went from 37 to 54 and their Google Business Profile views nearly tripled, their best numbers since they've been in business. It's one business, so I see it as a real example, not a promise.
We launched on Kickstarter this week. It's all-or-nothing, with a $1,500 goal over 15 days, and rewards start at $25: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sitepeek/sitepeek-a-marketing-system-every-small-business-can-afford
For other creators here: how far ahead of launch did you start building your audience, and would you start earlier next time?

Hi everyone! We’re AttaEle, a small home-fragrance brand preparing to launch our new candle warmer, the AttaEle A02, on Kickstarter.
We love scented candles, but we kept running into the same problems with traditional candle warmers: limited candle compatibility, uneven fragrance distribution, and designs that didn’t quite fit into our living spaces.
So we created A02, a flame-free candle warmer featuring:
We’re planning to launch on Kickstarter soon, and we’d really appreciate your feedback. If A02 sounds like something you’d enjoy using—or if you simply want to follow our journey—you can follow the project on our Pre-launch Page.
Thank you for taking a look! We’d also love to hear what matters most to you when choosing a candle warmer.
