We had a moderately successful first Kickstarter and are following it up with Number 2, using constructive feedback from the last one.

The idea is the same: we want to make home labs cheaper, neater, and more efficient. A home lab is when you run server software in your office or home instead of on the cloud. (For example, moving off Google Drive and saving stuff to a Xerxes in your closet.)

The page is kind of an information salad right now, and it's been hard to communicate enough information to techno users without overstimulating more casual users.

Please give us your feedback and it would be super helpful if you tag yourself as techno or casual. Cheers and thank you.

Hey everyone. I'm Bruce, independent playing card creator. My fourth Kickstarter, Dream Weaver, just funded on day 7 and we're now chasing a CA$6,500 stretch goal.

What makes it different: 300gsm black core stock, holographic film on every card front and back, 56 custom cards, holographic embossed tuck with a custom printed interior. There's also a limited 100-deck gilded edition with multi-colored holographic edges, individually numbered.

The stretch goal unlocks a custom half-brick box designed by @joefdsgn. Free for 6-deck backers, two free for 12-deck backers.

Happy to answer any questions about the design process, the holographic stock, or running a playing card Kickstarter.

Powerscape is a comic book over 20 years in the making from 65 Dollar Funeral Productions about a future on an Earth ravaged from war and climate change, where super-powered athletes compete on behalf of a few remaining cities in a game for life-depending energy.

Exploring the role of spectacle in an empire, Powerscape tells the story of how an almost inevitable power structure can still collapse and which sides of our humanity is needed afterwards to pick up the pieces...

Our team is attempting to finish Issue #4 and condense all current books into a Volume I 120+ page trade paperback graphic novel, complete with bonus micro-chapters, maps, infographics, BTS art, and more!

The main reason some people come here is to promote their projects and hopefully find backers, but does that actually happen? Or are we all just here hoping to get our own projects promoted?

Have any of you actually become part of a community you discovered here and backed one of its projects?

Hey r/kickstarter, I’m part of the team at Magic Wonders. We’ve been building Wand One for a while, and it’s about to go live.

It’s an AI-powered smart wand for dueling friends, exploring live adventures, controlling your smart home, and making music.

A few things you can do with it:

• Duel a friend in real time, or practice solo and level up
• Step into live adventures and quests
• Cast spells to control your lights, music, and smart home (works with Alexa, IFTTT, and 1,000+ apps and services)
• Make music in the air
• and much more!

Along the way we won an award in Meta’s Horizon Start Developer Competition, joined the NVIDIA Inception program, got backing from ANII, and were featured in Forbes.

We’re launching on Kickstarter soon. If it looks fun, you can follow the pre-launch page and tap “Notify me on launch” to be first in when we go live (early-bird pricing for launch-day backers):

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and having a great week!

Last week, we launched Numeraeon: Tales of the Old East on Kickstarter! After a great week, we have unlocked our first stretch goal!

What is Numeraeon? Numeraeon: Tales of the Old East is a 5E-Compatible supplement for DnD, but it is also so much more. Years of research went into examining frontier legends, urban legends that shape our world, and, of course, cryptids. Our campaign offers a digital PDF and physical case-bound book with interior end-sheets for Numeraeon: Tales of the Old East. However, we also offer seven physical models depicting our reimagined cryptids and urban legends, a commemorative coin, cloth fabric canvas poster, and more!

It should be noted that everything that we are offering has been prototyped and produced already in advance of our campaign.

My company is a start-up and 5E gave me a space to tell stories, I am so grateful for the community support and everyone who has backed the project. We aren't a big company or anything like that, and years of work went into preparing Numeraeon for Kickstarter.

We truly hope that you will come celebrate Halloween with us on Discord and check out project on Kickstarter.

If you want to support us here is a link to our campaign page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jesseriah/numeraeon-tales-of-the-old-east

Website - if you want the lore

Hey everyone,

I've been thinking about launching a tech product on Kickstarter in the future, but there's something I'm trying to figure out.

How do you actually get people to find your project when you're just starting out and don't have a big audience?

Do you guys usually build an audience before launching, use social media, paid ads, or just rely on Kickstarter itself?

Would love to hear what actually worked for you, especially if you've launched a physical product before.

Hey everyone! I know questions in this vein are asked all the time, and I apologize for the repetition. I'm not really asking how to fix this, but more ao wondering if this is the new normal.

This is my 3rd campaign. I'm an indie author, and special editions tend to do very well on kickstarter. Both of my previous campaigns (one in summer 2024, one summer 2025), funded within 12 hours max. My funding goals were both lower tha my current one, but I saw a steady stream of initial backers on day 1-3, had the middle lull, and then had an influx of backers the final few days. This was normal, this is what you could expect.

This time around, I have raised 50% of my campaign on day 1 and now, on day 2, ot has been crickets. I have had 2 pledges early this morning, and nothing else. In the past, day 2 was almost equally as active as day 1. It was very formulaic.

What I am wondering is if backer habits have changed, if launching in a different season has an impact, or any other factors that would be explaining this change.

Hi r/kickstarter,

We are sharing RAMDeck, a hardware hub and cluster orchestrator designed to solve AI memory limits by repurposing the idle computers people already own.

Watch our live cluster test loading a 60 GB 120B model across 6 mismatched devices: https://youtu.be/ok3nYjxhc1w

The Problem:

Running modern, capable AI models (such as 32B, 70B or 120B parameters) locally requires 24 GB to 80+ GB of memory. Buying enterprise GPUs like the RTX 4090 or high-end Mac Studios costs thousands of dollars. At the same time, most households and small offices have 2 to 4 older laptops, mini PCs, or desktops sitting idle in closets or on desks.

The Solution:

RAMDeck connects your existing devices over local Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi, partitions a model's neural network layers across each computer's physical memory, and orchestrates them into a unified local AI server.

Instead of needing a single expensive motherboard, the cluster evaluates the model sequentially: Computer A evaluates layers 1–20, Computer B evaluates layers 21–40, and only compact activation vectors (~650 KB per token) cross the local network during generation.

Verified Hardware & Live Proof:

We are launching with working hardware and software that has been running live for months:

• 120B Model Cluster: Pooled memory across 6 mismatched devices (an RTX 3060 mini PC, a 12GB Acer laptop, an M4 Mac mini, an M3 MacBook, a 2017 Intel MacBook, and a Samsung Galaxy S24+ phone) to run a 60 GB model (gpt-oss-120b) through a 40-hour continuous stress test at 1.37 tok/s.
• Self-Healing: When a laptop lid was closed or a phone dropped off Wi-Fi, the orchestrator automatically redistributed the remaining layers without crashing the active session.
• Office Privacy Demo: Indexed 14 complex legal documents across 3 office PCs with 0 bytes transmitted outside the LAN, eliminating cloud privacy risks (ABA Opinion 512).
• Honest Speeds: 30B MoE 39t tok/s, 40B MoE at 16 tok/s, and 120B at 1.37 tok/s.

Transparency & Code:

• The core clustering engine is source-available on GitHub under Apache 2.0 with a Commons Clause restriction (free to inspect, run, and audit on your own hardware).
• We are offering Early Bird turnkey hardware hubs starting at $109 (retail $199) for users who want a plug-and-play appliance rather than configuring headless machines manually.
• Campaign Page: https://www.indiegogo.com/en/projects/trademav/ramdeck-pool-your-ram-run-bigger-ai
• Full Engineering Benchmarks & Specs: https://ramdeck.com/how-to-pool-ram-from-old-pcs/
• GitHub Repository: https://github.com/trademav/ramdeck-core-public

We would love to hear the community's thoughts, questions on the hardware/networking architecture, or feedback on our crowdfunding roadmap!

Hi everyone,

My wife and I are a two-person studio in Madrid, and on Tuesday, October 20, we’re launching our first Kickstarter: Kingdoms of Ink.

It’s a set of rubber stamp kits for drawing tabletop RPG world maps. There are three kits of 16 stamps each: high fantasy, a post-apocalyptic wasteland and an 80s small town. The idea is to build the world beyond the dungeon right at the table, stamping villages, forests, ruins and roads as the players explore, instead of spending hours prepping a map they might never visit.

Every stamp starts as a hand drawing. We trace it digitally, laser cut it and mount it on bevelled, varnished wood. The kits work on plain paper or hex paper, and you can colour the maps afterwards with watercolours or markers.

Some of you gave us feedback on our page a couple of weeks ago, and it really helped. Thank you. We’re at 220 followers now, and the goal is €4,000, with delivery planned for February 2027.

If it sounds like your kind of thing, you can follow the project here and get a notification on launch day:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kingdomsofink/kingdoms-of-ink

Happy to answer any questions about the stamps, the process or running a first campaign as a tiny team.

We're planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign through a US LLC, with two founders both residing in Ukraine.

We're having trouble finding a US business bank account that we can open remotely and use to receive Kickstarter payouts.

Has anyone dealt with this? Any bank recommendations? Also, has anyone successfully used Payoneer for Kickstarter payouts?

Got our 1st prototypes in! This weekend I'll be taking some pics. Working on the card back design now and some game rules where you use playing cards to roleplay vampires, werewolves, or gorgons to fight, drink, or crush some hearts! You can check out our kickstarter here! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/comicalfoods/sangrya?ref=1ct48r

The essence of the game is a choose-your-own-adventure style of visual novel, where your choices, successes and failures shape a heavily branching story. You pick one of six starting characters and guide them through their late childhood choices, and then try and rise in the criminal underworld.

The genre has been growing over the past few years with titles like Slay The Princess, A Legionary's Life, The Banner Saga, and the Citizen Sleeper series. I wanted to tell the story of life in the urban cores around the time I was growing up, and provide a completely novel experience to this group of gamers. The existing demo (free on Steam now!) features a great deal of new ideas around storytelling and game mechanics, as well as familiar concepts from the genre.

If you loved shows like The Wire, Breaking Bad, or games like GTA or Schedule I, pledge now and help make it a reality!
