His most important role wasn't even in the main show, it was in a fucking short. And he was great in it. If they just had him on screen in the main show for more than two minutes, he would be a smash hit. But no, we're just going to ignore his existence.

It's always when I finally get to play video games, my parents start asking me about random stuff like if I showered or have I eaten yet. I can't even lock in for the game. The images are from a thread under a post which finally inspired me to make this post. I heard that the BK image is ironic or a joke or whatever, and I get that, but it still doesn't change what I'm going to say.

This might get a lot of downvotes, disagreements, or otherwise, simple due to how prevalent it is online.

But I hate how, for lack of a better word, "normalized" and even "praised" the hate for French people has become. Now look, I'm not French myself, I'm American, but I have a online French friend and, quite frankly, he's one of the nicest people I know and one of the bestest friends I've ever had.

I heard one of the reasons people hate French people is due to their unpleasant and rude personality, and while that may or may not be true, my friend also happens to be one of the chillest and wokest people I know as well.

But I didn't come to talk about my friend.

I don't like this "hate" that people have come to foster online. When I first heard about it, I thought it was just a light joke. Infact, I used to be one of those people, particularly because the aforementioned friend used to make those same types of jokes towards his own kind.

However, I stopped when I realized my friend had also stopped, and those type of jokes even began to make him uncomfortable (atleast from what I could tell). I realized that, yeah, what I was doing was pretty lame and it was hurting someone I was close with. It was dumb and I regret it, and I stopped now.

But realizing how it was hurting my friend overtime also made me realize how frankly stupid the whole thing is. Now, to be fair, I don't completely understand it as I haven't been able to find a valid reason as to WHY its become to mainstream in the first place.

But I think that's part of the problem, there is no valid reason. What started as a "joke", has become straight up xenophobia, and xenophobia has no valid reason.

Hating an entire population of people simply for who they were born as is Xenophobia. You don't hate them because you actually know who they are as people, as if you've met every single one, you hate them because of what you've seen online and what they have been generalized as, or because of the actions of the corruption in power, in which case neither are right.

And it doesn't matter how much you joke about hating them or hate them unironically, the fact that it has gone into constantly dehumanizing them and treating them like they're animals and encouraging it is weirdo behavior to me. And it being about French people, just because hating on them has now become so normalized, does not make it any better than hating on other groups of people.

I know people will probably try to defend it by saying "but its just a joke!" I already understand that it is, but it doesn't change that I haven't been able to find a valid reason why its become a joke in the first place, nor does it change the fact that its starting to become increasingly less ironic.

I'm not referring to the people in the images but I've interacted with others who genuinely seem to hate French people.

Ok well not truly hate it, but I Dislike it a lot actually. I'm not really an old gen monster hunter vet as they say, hell, my first Monster hunter game was Monster Hunter Stories, but What I can say is that the differences between Old Monster hunter games and what we got in 5th gen and beyond are VERY dissatisfying!

A thing about me is that I like caveman, megafauna hunting Aesthetics, and Monster Hunter scratched that itch. In fact, it scratched that itch SO good that Monster Hunter was one of the only things I played for 7 years straight, and even still I feel not an ounce of fatigue for the series! I fucking LOVE monster hunter, I love it so much that I can even memorize ALL the monsters by class, size, and the games they're from by memory, even the small monsters! I can recognize them by their roar, by their themes, hell Even by the hunting horn chymes from their equipment!

So safe to say, no it's not my long time playing of the series that makes it feel so fucking dry, but another thing. HOW THEY TREAT MONSTER AND PLAYER RELATIONSHIPS. My first taste of mainline was MHFU via emulation, and safe to say that, that game is one of if not my all-time favorite games to play, but I'll touch on that after I deliver a diamond-studded paddle to the BALLS of this abominable newtard slop that is Wilds.

For one, my biggest gripe and the very thing that I would be happy if you upped and removed from the game would be Wounds and Focus mode. Honestly, these two things just blatantly cuck the system of part breaks, which focuses on timing, and and positioning with intent to reach the desired outcome of breaking the monster's part, making the fight more manageable, and even getting the extra treat of a carve for your hard efforts. Honestly, Capcom could have went many ways of solving this issue, be it balance the way this system is managed, or hell, make the wound as maybe a stage one indicator that the monster part is half-way broken. Reasonable, right? But what does Crapcum do?

Give you a shitty decoration that gives back your integral mechanic that makes monster hunter, MONSTER HUNTER. And the funny thing is being that the damn thing still doesn't work.

Ok, pretty sad, but you wanna know what else the BBC overlords at Capcum decided plow into an unrecognizable husk of it's former self?

THE FUCKING SMALL MONSTERS!! Back then, if you didn't know how to actually manage a group of monsters properly, you might as well bent over and pucker up princess, because you basically spent money to get a digital Bukkake special, with your only payment being the permission to live. Dromes pouncing on you, Vespoids and Bnahabras paralyzing you to death, Hermitaurs, Blangos, an assortment of small monsters who would slap you off your feet and make you regret ignoring them, because sometimes their existence was the only difference between a quest complete and you turning off you device and crying in the middle of class silently. These days, they're just slightly more complex endemic life that you can tear slinger ammo off and also beat up so you don't realize that Capcom left them sprinkled in the world to make it look pretty. It's such a damn problem in fact that instead of actually BALANCING them to be a proper threat and giving them back their place in this game ecosystem, they really gave you a fucking shopping spree quest and told you to kick rocks.

Buddy, if I wanted to play a fucking glorified BANDIT BEATER I would just boot up Blox Fruits for free, not do some wack filler quest so you can feel like you did your job Capcum.

And now instead they just assigned this role to the starter monsters. Big whoop. There was a time where if you didn't take a starter monster seriously, it would actually fuck you over, and I'm not going to even say "But now" again because I'm just tired of it.

So TLDR; The wounds features suck the small monsters have been reduced to mere resources, and New thing bad Old thing good. Safe to say I'm probably going to stick to old gen monster hunter for a while now, and do more complaining on the MH sub.

I can't believe I'm actually having to say this, but a child, no matter how noisy, deserves to be in public. Some kids are going to have public meltdowns, some kids are going to be mean, they're still growing humans who have a right to be in society like everyone else.

I am so done with seeing posts and comments and videos talking about kids like they're offended they have to breathe the same air as them. I saw a post on unpopular opinion (that was taken down, thank god) that said "if you can't control your kids you shouldn't bring them out into public", like the kids should have to suffer social regression due to their parents not knowing what they're doing (like every other parent).

This brings up an even bigger societal issue where we treat and see children as property and collectable dolls. A parent can't "control their child" no better than I could control any one of you because it doesn't matter how many techniques a parent uses on their kid, that kid still has free will separate from what anyone else wants that can't be taken from them. Kids are impressionable, sure, but it's still at least partly their choice. And some people, especially those with mental disabilities, can't understand why they should give a damn what anyone has to say. THAT IS NORMAL AND SHOULDN'T BE SHUNNED. Also how are they supposed to learn to behave if they're never given the opportunity to learn? If you keep kids that are 5 years and younger locked up, you'll have kids who are 6 years and older acting like toddlers. If you lock those kids up, and do this again and again, you'll eventually have teenagers acting like ten year olds.

This is different if the child is violent and hurting others, but even then total social isolation is STILL a bad idea because they still need human interaction outside their family to be healthy (just maybe more supervised).

I’m not saying a game has to go the complete opposite and make every character some Korean MMO goonfest where it might as well be softcore pron, but I don’t know anybody who actually likes the way the characters are designed in this game

From the proportions, to composition, to framing, to facial design, to expressions… Every character in this game feels manufactured to look as unappealing and unattractive as possible. Like the game desperately wants nobody to ever want to goon to them

It’s like it was made by aliens who hate humans and therefore want to portray them as as unflattering and ugly. It completely misunderstands the lighting and camera angles that compliment the human face.

As you can see, Wolverine has an extremely feminine face with feminine features such as a small thin nose with smaller nostrils, and also small lips as well. He also has downward angled prey eyes which makes him look emasculated. Just awful. It doesn’t fit the character at all. Whoever designed him didn’t know what they were doing

The final girl trope is tied to purity. Such as slurs die the virgin lives. And through overcoming great evil the virgin goes through a metamorphosis and becomes someone capable of defeating evil.

The trope kinda started for a multiple of reasons one of which was to warn kids off of premarital sex. Example. Boo you had sex now this monster will make your insides outsides.

Then you have the final girl. Usually she has a boyfriend. Usually they haven’t had sex or won’t have sex during the movie. Because even if it’s sort of alluded to. The movie is trying to set up a sort of virgin status.

Usually she has a friend group of ruffians people who wouldn’t really be friends with her in the first place. She’s a bookcase. She doesn’t do drug. She usually doesn’t drink. She’ll usually have a safe the cat moment early on to showcase she’s not like the rest of her friends.

Really cementing her as this angelic figure. Her friends will die. She will live scared throughout until by the end she chooses to fight has her witty one liner and wins.

I hate it because one villainizing sex is silly. Two it’s played out. Can for once the slutty bitchy friend survive. Sure it’s probably happened once or twice. But usually if the prude dies that means everyone is probably dead.

Also it ties into this weird fetishization people have with purity which ties into virginity. Which the final girl personifies. She’s the untouched virgin the only one deserving life.

Do I think final girls are iconic? Sure.
Do I think they’re cool. Sometimes.
Does their very existence mean the plot will usually bend over itself to make sure they survive by having the killer act totally unlike themselves so they can win? Also yeah.

All in all I hate it. But I wouldn’t get rid of it id probably just change it up. I mean we watch horror movies for the monsters the ghost and the slashers.

Those are the real main characters. Everyone else aside from the icons who either created the trope or carved their space within it are remembered.

People remember the. The Ripley’s and the Helen’s. (because they're usually exceptions)

The online discourse surrounding women in gyms just sounds so... artifical. Like, the stuff I've heard is a complete non-issue.

Lets start with the clothing situation. A lot of people have opinions on what women wear to the gym, and as someone who goes to the gym 5-6 times a week, I can tell you it is a complete non-issue. I, and a lot of other people, don't give a fuck about what other people wear to the gym. You are EXPECTED to get hot and sweaty at the gym, so wear what's most comfortable for you.

Not to mention, people who go to the gym are trying to stay in shape. And yknow what a lotta in-shape (not all) people wanna do? SHOW OFF THEIR BODIES! They're literally training themselves to look good! (Most of them, at least. Some just wanna get stronger and looks come second). Shit, I'm a guy who wears crop tops to the gym, and it's because I like my body and helps me keep cool. Plenty of dudes wear stringers and smaller shorts. But with women, people get OUTRAGED if they decide to wear something a little more revealing.

And I have to specify this is mainly online discourse, because irl, people don't give a fuck about what you wear. As long as you aren't flashing people are totally nude, nobody cares!
