New to me Beretta 1934, Looking for info
A new to me Beretta 1934. I see the date on the slide. The serial makes sense for this roll mark. I got it cleaned up, some of those pins were bastards. The grip screws aren't in good shape, the one is pretty well stripped. I ordered a new one. I can't place the bird mark on the tang. I also believe it was rebarreled. What don't I know? You tell me! This is my first foray into the surplus world. I would like to know as much as possible about the pistol. Imgur link https://imgur.com/a/E59SsMl

How many magazines do you keep loaded with hollow point/home defense ammo?
For bedside, in the safe, for how many guns, etc
I keep one hp in each with my bedside & carry pistol, all fmjs in spare magazines and ar magazines. It seems minimal but hollow points seemed expensive and I needed range ammo

Does there exist a micro 9 da/sa?
The smallest one that I know of which is HK p30sk is a little big compared, And to be honest. I hate the triggers
I know of two single actions.
The Smith& Wesson CSX E
Kimber Cds9
The FN reflex has an internal Hammer.
Double action guns I know in this size are 380 and I'm simply not interested in adding another caliber.
I'm just generally wondering if I'm missing one I Just don't know about it

Official Politics Thread 10/16/2026
Here is the sanctioned thread to discuss gun related politics. Decided to post it since apparently everyone else is slacking.
For the bots: How will asteroid belt mining by robots affect the cost of lead and copper used in ammo?
Help! LEFT HANDED 7BC build.
Currently no one besides Savage manufactures a 7BC in left hand besides some freakishly expensive companies.
I am looking to build one for around 1500$
I currently hunt with a ROUGHTECH Tx3 .300
I have never built a bolt action.
I was wondering if anyone has a build sheet for something like this!
Ideally 16 ish inch barrel. I’m in the thick woods of north Idaho

Colt 22 thread/adapter
I just got a can for my colt M4 22 LR , but the thread on the end of the barrel doesn’t match the GEM tech GM 22 can I just bought. Is there an adapter I can buy or do I need to switch out the barrel?

Want to replace the Sig for Carry
Yes, that Sig. I'm trying to find a handgun chambered in .45 acp that has a rail which will fit my laser / light (Streamlight TLR-8). I was looking at a Springfield XD 45 Compact but then I seen people complaining about it and I don't really know a whole lot about guns, so I haven't been able to find a good alternative. Ideally, I'd like it to be obtainable for around $500 but I'm open to going higher than that in case I decide to save up for a pricy one
TRL-1 HL X
Is it normal to get pretty hot after a few mins of use? It's not HOT HOT but very warm.

Taurus 856 concealed hammer is a good choice?
I already know about other brands like S&W but here in Honduras Only Taurus are available in the "revolver" category, and the crime rate here is pretty bad. I need a concealable little gun to use in my 5.11 pants pockets with my tactical knife.

Best online source for bulk/range 9mm ammo right now?
Picked up an AR-9 very recently and can tell I'm going to be burning through some ammo with it. Just for range/practice use. Thanks!

Been on a dyeing spree
Been dyeing a lot of PMAGs recently and it’s kinda become a hobby of its own.

Visual of the Ruger catalog change
The GP100 isnt named, but it seems odd to have it left over. It is one of the few revolvers good for uspsa anymore which may be why.

Advice for removing these scratches?
This is a new to me Interarms Walther PPK/S .380. It has these very shallow scratches around the Interarms logo. Shallow enough I don't feel them with my fingernail. Can I safely polish this off without damaging the logo? Will it be an obnoxious amount of work for it to still look blended in with the rest of the slide?
Also, there's what looks like weld marks on both sides of the chamber, which can be seen on one side through the ejection port. Can I safely polish that as well? Should I?
Any advice is appreciated. I don't want to do anything stupid to it and make it look any worse.

Found some cool old ammo at a thrift shop today. 1870s 41 Swiss rimfire, a civil war era 32 cal teat-fire cartridge, a box of late 1800s/early 1900s 38 S&W, a partial box of 1880s 32 short rimfire, and a box of vintage 22cal tear gas cartridges made in West Germany.
Vortex defender enclosed any good??
I’m seeking real world reviews on the vortex defender enclosed models. I’ve heard both good and bad things but most are just from vortex glazers/haters. if you’ve actually OWNED this red dot pls let me know if it’s any good.
(ps it’s not for this gun it will be on a shield x for edc)
Can you please remove any metallic objects you may be carrying, keys, loose change...
New Mac5k - finding a collapsible stock is proving to be a bitch, though. Any recommendations?
