Shitpost Dear Moderators,
Is there a possibility to create a mega-thread or new subreddit altogether for all the "Why is it going down?!" panic posts? And, start removing such posts from going live here?
Over the last year, the amount of such posts from financially illiterate people (sorry not sorry) is simply ruining the viability of this subreddit as a whole.
Now, let the hate flow. Bring on all the community hate so the moderators can see what's going on.

When in doubt - Zoom Out
We are staring down a major macroeconomic shift over the next 18 months. Central bank balance sheet pressures, persistent currency devaluation, and global re-alignment are driving unprecedented structural demand for real physical assets.
We should see $5,800 hopefully by June 2027. God Speed Soldiers

Question What’s your strategy to buy gold under spot?

Speculation Gold was $4,008 on June 24th.
Idk why the freak outs. Anyone think we see $3,500 again? Seems plausible now.

Buy time for DCA freaks!
Hi guys,
I buy 1 oz every month and try to time my purchase in 'micro-dips'.
I felt today was one of those 'micro-dips' and bought a 1 oz Maple Leaf at €3.608,27 (0,87% above spot). Including shipping cost (€19,90) I am at 1,42% above spot price.
Have done better in the past, and I see Krugerrands are going for even lower premiums now, but it's not a bad deal.
What do you do now, do you buy, or wait?

Update on the $20 gold cufflinks.
I recently acquired some gold cufflinks on eBay for $20 bucks. The heads/tops tested positive via acid & at my local jewel store for 10k. I had a few people say I was absolutely wrong, that they were gold filled. Today I sold them for $300.
Let this be a lesson to all of us stackers, pickers & collectors…education is important in any industry and learning something new should be embraced.
Here is the video I promised the doubters.

Gold investment: French gold coins (Napoleons) vs. Moroccan gold jewellery — €5,000–€6,000 budget
Hi everyone! I’d love to hear from people who have some knowledge or experience with gold, as I’m still quite new to this.
I live in France and I’m looking to invest around €5,000–€6,000 in gold. I’m wondering what would be the most profitable option in the long run. Would it be better to invest the entire amount in French gold coins, such as Louis d’Or (Napoleons)?
I’m also a Moroccan girl, and some of my friends have told me that gold jewellery sold in Morocco is good quality. So I’ve also considered buying plain gold jewellery without gemstones, or splitting my investment between gold coins and jewellery.
I’d really appreciate any advice on which option is more likely to appreciate in value over time and which would be easier to resell in the future.
Thanks for your help!

Question Breakaway Gold Bars
Anyone pick up one of these breakaway gold bars from Sunshine Minting? I haven’t seen much online about these yet.
They’re pretty cool, divisible into 1/4 oz bars but for very little premium. Seems like a great way to stack fractional while avoiding premiums on each piece. Just as long as you can save enough for an ounce at a time I suppose.
Mine’s still in the assay but it came scratched. My brain is telling me leave it alone but my heart says open it up and free it.

Need advice (beginner )
I am a student and now have some savings so I am looking to buy 10 gms of gold bar . I want to know from where to buy how to buy and how to check authenticity of the bar , what things to keep in mind .
I know it's a small thing but for me as a beginner I thought first to ask rather than ending up in some lala shop .
As my family had bought gold earlier with the local shops and no hallmark things.
So I want to make them guide too into this.
Any help is appreciated.
I'm based in a tier 2 city .
Edit : and yes I have this money as cash or upi so what would be the best way to buy .

Bullionvault Estate Planning
Some countries apply estate tax for foreigners/non-tax residents for assets in said country. For example, if you live in France and have nothing to do with the US except having a bank account there, the IRS will take 40% of your bank balance after the first $60,000.
I'm wondering how this works with vaulting with Bullionvault. Specifically, from what I can tell BullionVault is in the UK where a similar estate tax scheme applies to the US. My question is, what if I vault the gold in Zurich? Does BV being a british company tie the assets to the UK or is the estate tax rules tied to Switzerland at that point? I can't get a clear answer from BV. I am worried that despite the law being the law, if BV doesn't follow said law, things are going to get tied up in a complex fight with BV which I don't want for my inheritors.
