I feel like this season has so many standout stars at similar levels of dance ability and progress, so it’s hard to predict who will win. however, I think guillermo’s top 5 is pretty accurate imo 🙈 on this week’s dwts podcast, guillermo revealed that he thinks maura, harry, amber, jenna, and ezra will make the finale, later adding that ezra will win it all. do you think he’s right?

I thought this was a really brilliant analysis by @PopCultureData and wondered what you guys thought about it. I think CAI’s bark is worse than her bite, she may not be nice in comments but her voting track record seems to show she scores with the other judges, especially with women, and goes just a bit softer with men.
Credit to @popculturedata - I love analysis like this!

Is it me or is it extra quiet on the social media posts/stories from pros and celebrities after everything with Val??

HERE IS MY INFO ROUND UP FOR THIS WEEK:
As you know, Val Chmerkovskiy has been suspended for this week's event which brings a new partner to Jenna Dewan. Let's look at how this may affect her and the show as a whole.
Dedication night is about storytelling and connection.
The time will be greatly shortened by Jenna Dewan due to her hectic schedule shooting her other show and having to learn a new dance with a new partner.
In the past, replacements for stars are met with some decline in votes due to the audience connecting to a pairing and their time together in the ballroom.
The other half of the audience will pity her position as caught in the middle
Now let's look at Jenna Johnson who can get either a bump up or down depending on how the dance is received. Pity votes vs blame by association. This will be an interesting one to watch.
Predictive Market has Tyler just 1% more likely to be the next voted off than Jackson. Predictive markets are not always accurate so, keep that in mind along with all numbers are fluid on views and odds.
The most talked about news regarding the show in social volume in the last 6 days:
-Val Chmerkovskiy (suspension and apology)
-Carrie Ann Inaba (critiques of Jenna Johnson)
-Jenna Dewans' replacement (Alan Bersten)
-Alan Bersten comments by a former pro Gleb
Here is another factoid of the past week:
Val's suspension generated over 10k tweets and 5k comments in just the first 24 hours which is 5x the normal show chatter.
Tik Tok Notes:
Jenna Dewan and Alan B. viewer bump in the last two days.
Tyler Cameron and Sharna B. viewer decline this week
The biggest anticipation will be how well will Jenna do with condensed time and a new partner.
Typically, dedication nights do not have an elimination so, this will head to next week.
What to watch this week in the ballroom:
-They may put the two Jennas' back-to-back for heightened drama.
-Will Carrie Ann Inaba over correct and be more complimentary?
-Will the ballroom noise be a split of cheers and boos?
-Can this give people in the lower tier a bump?

This is just amazing. And what precision & what a tribute to an American Icon!
Why can’t Dancing with the Stars do this?

Since it's confirmed no double elimination (after the first week) for this season, making it a 6 couple finale, which is more likely?
They have to skip one elimination to make it 6 people at finale.
So, do they skip elimination tomorrow on dedication night? # I'm aware that they haven't eliminated on dedication night, but they also have - so it's not a rule #
Or, do they eliminate tomorrow night and then pull the whole "everyone's going to the finale!!!" bit at the final 6?

do you guys think there will be an elimination this week? they usually don’t send anyone home on dedication night (maybe once that i can remember), but with everything that happened this week, i could unfortunately see jenna dewan getting the lowest amount of viewer votes and production sending her home.
also, there are still 10 couples with only 5 weeks left. we might be getting a double elimination or two, and possibly a 5 couple finale!!?

Like….no one got to do All I want for Christmas?!?!?!? That is her most popular song!!! I dont care if its tOo EaRlY fOr ChRiStMaS it is iconic and honestly a big highlight in her career!!! The dances to it wouldve been so cute!!!!! Ugh whatever rant over.

As the Val and Carrie Ann tension has slowly settled down, I began to think. In my opinion, if Jenna D and Jenna J don't make some sort of statement about this, then Jenna D or Harry could be at risk of being the next two stars eliminated. They aren't required to speak about it or make a statement, but their silence could ruin them going far in the competition. I also think Jenna D should just keep dancing with Alan or potentially bring in Sasha cause once Val comes back, her votes from the viewers will drastically go down, and that isn't fair to her.

Granted he has an amazing celeb/partner this season, but historically has not done *that* well. Do we think Pasha has maintained Pro status because of his wife Daniella? I can see Daniella negotiating to stay as a Pro only if her husband can too. I mean- how does Pasha compare to Gleb/Sasha who were not asked to return? 🤔
