Jenna looked so great dancing with Alan tonight. Honestly, seems like a better pairing. They complimented each other beautifully. Best she’s ever danced.

I just became aware that so many people are criticizing his teeth.

This breaks my heart for him. He seems like a good guy, even if he's an average dancer on the show.

He took a baseball to the face. He got corrective asthetic surgery. It doesn't look totally natural. But it looks fine.

I think he's had a rough journey on the show. Im so glad he's paired with the light that is Emma Slater because it makes me sad to think he goes home to see people not only talk about how hes a "bad dancer" but to also see people picking apart his looks.

If we are trying to do better as a society by not picking women apart over their flaws then we should be holding ourselves to the same standard with young men out there doing their best and trying to make their mom's proud.

Jackson is nowhere near my favorite but I actually loved his quickstep and I'm glad he got to feel the joy of getting a decent score from the judges

And I liked when he smiled afterwords. Teeth and all.

First off, I think Maura is so lovely and I don’t want this to come of the wrong way. With that said…

Maura wowed me week one and I thought she was going to be a standout this season. But as the weeks progressed. I noticed her dances seemed repetitive and I wasn’t seeing much in her legwork. Still, I didn’t think much of it.

These last two weeks though, I think we saw her peak. She is so so graceful and great at holding frame, but these quicker paces with footwork have been a miss for me. Specifically, I thought her dance yesterday was lackluster and honestly… overscored.

I’m curious if she’s really just at normal progression and the internet went too strong at first. I’m not sure how big her fan base is, but I’m really curious if she’ll stick around much longer if her dancing maintains how it has the last two weeks.

I know I’m not alone but Jenna with Alan this week was so refreshing and I would love to see them continue to work together. Their vibes matched beautifully and Jenna seemed so much more confident and comfortable with him. There was something about Alan letting her shine that was so special and nice to see. I would not be mad if Val was out the rest of the season and Alan stayed. Kinda wish we got this partnership from the jump. If Val comes back I think they’ll be gone sooner rather than later. Anyone else agree?

She still seems a little stiff when dancing, and she hasn’t done any latin dances yet. especially after back to back contemporary and jazz, it’ll be interesting to see how she does with the styles ahead of her and where they go from here

He's not a "good" dancer. He's probably the least improved, and his emotions during the dances seem fabricated/fake. No, I'm not "hating" - just pointing out what I feel is true.

Jackson, Connor, & Tyler will be next to be eliminated because they've shown the least improvement/emotion.

Does anyone else think Tatyana just totally embodies grace? She has got to be one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen and she carries herself so well. That's literally all, I just had to say it because OMG GIRL 😍😭💞

This might be a stupid question but I’m just curious how this worked. I imagine it would be hard for Allen to have to come up with a dance the week of, maybe I’m wrong since I’m not a dancer lol. If it was Val’s choreo how did he teach it to them? Was he allowed to be at the practices?

Yes, it is wonderful to see the stars dance for someone/something important in their lives, but it goes deeper than that for me. I really wanted to post about why I love dedication night so much as someone who was a former competitive dancer.

A HUGE part of dance is about emotion, feeling, and storytelling; and this is not always something that you can teach. I find it comes naturally with time and consistency. “Feeling the music” can be a hard concept to teach someone who is not familiar with dancing. But I see how often dedication night brings this out in all of the stars.

I notice that a lot of stars who start out shy and reserved have their breakthrough on dedication night because they’re really feeling what it’s like to dance for something that you love. It seems like a release for a lot of them, they loosen up, break out of their shell, look more comfortable and shine. And I just think that’s really beautiful to see.

I hope she lays it on em and corrects the technique I hope she’s tough on them. If people think Len is mean she’s tougher. Especially on technique

Somebody mentioned this Jive in a TikTok comment as being their favorite ever so I went to YouTube to look at it and it has now become my 2nd favorite Jive behind Jordan Fisher and Lindsay’s!

This also reminds that we were SO robbed of not being able to see a Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas Jive last season. They would’ve killed it!

With next week being a double elimination who do we think will go home next week in it?! Jackson is 99.9% a goner as for who will join him I honestly think Tyler brought himself a little more time with his dedication dance and pregnancy announcement. I’m definitely worried for Tatyana but if it’s not her I think I can see it being a shocker and Harry being the one to go out in a double. Harry did well this week but I think he’s starting to get lost in the mix cuz I feel he’s becoming the ringer contestant who is great dance wise but has something missing to his dances (I blame Jenna J for that). Obviously the dances next week could change things but right now I’m thinking Jackson is definitely gone with Tatyana and possibly Harry at risk…

Holy cow not even 3 minutes in…

We have this debate on scoring and overscoring but I think the thing we need to discuss more instead of whether someone is scored correctly or not it should be about where they rank on the leaderboard. Cuz let’s remember how it works. The couples get points based on where they ranked on the leaderboard and where they place on the public vote. I do think the problem is scoring is obviously the male stars being scored generously compared to the women but also the insane amount of ties we end up with on the leaderboard. I always said the judges need more variety in scores they give out. I also think the judges should be forced to break a tie on the leaderboard so that way it can truly let’s say tonight (1-10 points on ranking points). I think we should have a head judge who breaks the tie after all the couples who danced during the break before they combine the points from the scores and votes. Like take the tie this week between Jackson, Connor, Tatyana, & Tyler I think the head judge would should be assigning those four a point of 1-4. Like Jackson gets 1 point, Connor gets 2 points, Tyler gets 3 points, & Tatyana gets 4 points. Or with Julia & Harry and Ezra & Jenna again a head judge would have to break that tie. Like let’s say a head judge gives Jenna 9 points, Ezra 8 Points, Julia 7 points, & Harry 6 points. I think that is where she should overall be focused on. Cuz the scores just determine where you rank and we end up with a crazy amount of ties on the leaderboard which makes the gap in points so much smaller. I remember the 2008 Strictly Christmas Special did that method where Len broke the tie on the leaderboard by assigning to the four couples who tied.

Why do the pros choreograph lifts into dances that don’t ’traditionally’ allow lifts? If it pisses everyone off then literally why?
