There is about for few hours main tańce on duolingo and i can't make lesson today because of this and it's says my streak is 0

am i just tripping or this app is not working fr? since last few hours (ahh noo my streak...😭😭🥀)

What does this mean?

I have been trying to open Duolingo for half an hour but it’s just frozen at this screen. Anyone else facing the same issue? Is Duolingo down fr?

So I logged on early this morning and I did my Duolingo right? I just hit a 70-day streak and now it says I have zero, I can't do any of the lessons, and none of my languages are available .what do I do? I have already tried refreshing it didn't work

Does it consume your streak freeze, or what?

I think that Duolingo is a great source to dip your toes in if you’re curious about a language. Especially if you’re new to language learning, but my god does the Romanian course have by far the worst audio of any language I have messed with in the app. I hope in the future that they revise it because the audio for Romanian sounds nothing like Romanian. This post serves no other purpose than to complain about the audio.

For those freaking out about Duo being down or offline for them it's likely related to a huge PHP vulnerability that was recently discovered

Duo have likely taken all servers offline due to the recent news about 2 huge vulnerabilities found with PHP which is some kind of back-end framework that websites like WordPress and Wikipedia rely on

There are apparently urgent bug fixes being rolled out worldwide for these today, but the thing is it's going to be a race for companies to update to the newest patch, and people using the PHP patch notes alongside AI to try and attack those vulnerabilities on any service that is still live (accessible via exploits) and not updated

I always do my lessons before midnight but now my streak has reset to Day 1. Has anyone else experienced this bug today?

John was a man who lived all alone in the woods, he was tall and had bright orange hair which shined under sunlight. One day, he was visited by his daughter. She had lived away for a few years. This time, John wanted his daughter to enjoy her stay, so he decided he was going to cook something delicious. In the following hours, John cooked a delicious dish of pasta, combined with seafood, which he bought from the fisher's market nearby.

He seasoned this dish with a delicious sauce he made with fresh tomatoes and brown sugar. In the end, when John's daughter finally came, she loved the scent of the food, and loved every bite of it. John and his daughter had a great afternoon together, in the end, she left with a smile and John rested happily, he had had a good day.

I want to learn Brazilian Portuguese with Duolingo and I have seen many people in this subreddit recommend to look at grammar exercise outside of Duolingo and buy worksheets / exercise books.

My goal is to become fluent as fast as possible. Today I made it to 11 points (sections 2 unit 3 completed). I am good in the duo exercises about stretching the verbs but things like “bem” vs “bom” confuse me.

My question:

Does anyone have any recommendations for work books or other online exercises I could use to keep up with the grammar. I would like to study it more and appreciate and suggestion no matter if free or paid. Whatever helped you the most :)

Edit: the “Bem” or “bom” thing was only an general example for grammar questions that come up but aren’t trained through Duolingo’s tasks / questions :)
