I've seen so many Youtube videos lately with builds around Winter's Guile all forcing you to use multiple loadout swaps. For me on console, it's always been too slow and annoying to try to time correctly, so I wanted to show that you can still get things done with one - two loadouts. It may not completely destroy higher end bosses with tons of health in one phase, but it definitely still helps in soloing content more easily. :)
I used maximum 2 loadouts just to have a better ad clear gun like Khvostov when not needing to prioritize dps, then swapped to Tractor Cannon. I think it's much simpler than trying to perfect multiple different swaps.

Hi all,
I wanted to upgrade the eyes on my Numskull Cayde-6 helmet because, although the helmet itself looked fantastic, the dark, lifeless eye sockets made it feel soulless.
My goal was to bring Cayde’s eyes back to the helmet and recreate that distinctive robotic Exo appearance. I spent quite a bit of time exploring different ideas, trying to find something that looked convincing without being overly complicated.
I think it looks great and thought I’ll share this for anyone else who has one.

Is this rocket any good? It's a precision frame, but being able to shoot all your rockets without reloading and getting the 35 % damage buff from gear shift for like 3/4 of those rockets has got to be pretty good.

So I’ve recently hoped back on destiny because this is my favorite game, I usually get hate in this community for asking simple questions but ima ask anyways. But should I ditch all the armor I have and just go for the new shit ? New guns, etc. I just don’t know 😭

Am I supposed to do something here? This reticle only appears when near this wall, specifically this rack, and I can't figure out what's happening.
Am I missing an Easter egg or something?

I kinda understand how the armor stats work. A bit confused on what quest i should do. Also the different ghosts are just cosmetic?

I feel like I commonly hear tablet of ruin referred to as the go to for strand weapons, but I feel like queensfoil is better. Both have unraveling orbs+to shreds+horde shuttle but outside of that it’s vile weave on tablet of ruin which is like a nice addition but how much actual value are you getting from it considering horde shuttle is already severing targets? And queensfoil has torch and dragons bite, given you have access to radiant wouldn’t torch provide more value than vile weave? Or does the simple quality of life that vile weave gives provide more value? Am I thinking about this the right way?
I know implement also has good strand perks but I need unraveling orbs to proc horde shuttle+to shreds because I’m not running slice or tear on this weapon.

So there will be very minimal subclass support with facet of ruin. The premise of the build is a mechanics phase build before I swap for dps. I will be using HOIL+Wormhusk class item with 2 piece KF and 2 piece Europa.
For synchronic roulette I’ll be using tablet of ruin with:
Unraveling orbs
Horde shuffle
To shreds
Vile weave
Other 3 artifact perks not relevant to weapon: elemental supercharger, gold from lead, perpetual destruction)
For M17 fast talker I’ll be using slayer baron with:
Severed cold
Brain freeze
Frost renewal
Hail the storm
Crystalline converter
Wind chill
Last perk not relevant to weapon: curative orbs
Synchronic roulette set up is reliant on picking up an orb to start the loop and M17 set up is reliant on spamming class ability (which isn’t an issue with HOIL+severed cold) and crystalline corpsebloom to start the loop. And I will probably run a siphon with both weapons so orbs will definitely not be lacking. I feel like I’m leaning towards synchronic roulette, I think it will have both better single target damage with chaos reshaped and better splash damage. Both will provide pretty high uptime on DR with M17 probably having higher uptime

Hey guys,
I recently released v2.0.0 and worked on a couple things you guys pointed out (thank you by the way, I really appreciate it! 😊)
The UI
I changed how MIDA looks and also enabled the use of themes for the future. I will be releasing themes very soon with a Halloween one. MIDA now looks like the inventory pages! It also features icons and better spacing and usability. See the image below for more details.

Features
The main new feature is the fact you can customise the sidebar. If you head over to %appdata%\MIDAyou can edit a file named sites.json and customise your sidebar. If you want new updates to not override your sidebar config please make the version a high number such as 99.99.99, so it does not override it. I have allowed new versions to override so we can remove and add new sites and they come and go in the community.
Currently in the works are (some in the code half finished if you go datamining):
- Settings menu
- Discord RPC
- Graphical UI editor
Support and Contributions
If you need support with MIDA, please click the Discord button on the top bar, this will get you into our support Discord. It is only for support and not for community discussion, there is Destiny Discord servers for that.
If you want to report a bug, if you have a GitHub account please make an issue. If not please report it in the Discord. If you want to contribute please make a pull request/issue.
If you want to support me personally, there is a little heart icon on the title bar or on the GitHub that you can visit to by me a Ko-fi! There is no reason for you to do this other than to show support, the app itself will forever remain free for all. I'm not sure if people would want to dentate for special features and want to hear your voice on that, I wouldn't even know what a special feature would be lmao.
Licensing Changes
I have changed the project to be fully open source now that the community knows about it. This means that anyone can fork the code and do what they want with it, instead of being limited to contributing. This is the first open source project I have made and has gotten traction (thank you for that) and I want to do my best to keep this project going for the community. I hate it when popular services go extinct (d2foundry) and this will help prevent that.
AI Usage
A big issue for many people with the first versions of MIDA was the heavy usage of AI. I have since then rewritten the whole code base by hand (with snippets from online and a template provided by a npm package, which is standard in the industry) and not used AI. The only usage for AI was if I had an issue and needed help and for problem solving and the odd snippet here and there. Claude is not even installed on my PC anymore! I heard your voices and I have made it better. (Also the codebase is much cleaner and more minimal)

Played for years, did some occasional raiding but was a daily player. Left for a varity of reasons a year or so after vaulting happened. Capping power on my favorite black armory weapons that didn't get good replacements combined with gear treadmill of power a regular intervals...I was just out.
But now there's no new content, a final power cap and I can play all the content...at some point in the unknown future (assume next year)...maybe earn some weapons I love in the new tier system I'm learning about as reissues? Sign me up again!
Only missing a few expansions, got them in a bundle at discount. Told chatgpt where I quit and some other info and it wrote me a massive guide to play story in order, learn the new class stuff, and play at a pace knowing I can't fall any more behind than I am.
Logged in tonight, was nice seeing my (don't laugh) 9 tabs of gear, none of which is tier gear of course...looking forward to doing some map exploring to remaster controls.
Excited. I've missed this game.

Hi all, recently picked this game back up and fully hooked again. So much content to get through now from dungeons to raids.
I do eventually want to clear it all. I’ve got my dungeons covered with my friends, but for raids I only raided in D1 where I used a LFG finder every week to clear it.
What is the best approach right now? We would need some help here and there so something we can use to find a group where some other players are beginner friendly.
Are there discords out there I should look at for example? Any tips are welcome. We would obviously check tactics beforehand and we have experience but are newbies to all of the raids except leviathan.

Its my first custom skin so I wanted to share! I really like how the Crown of Tenpests turned out. I took some creative liberties of the armor in the middle and the gauntlets (the arc crystals on the armor) are its true blue look unlike in gane.
I based it off the warlock Arclight set with metroshift shader. L

First time carving a pumpkin and I’m happy how it turned out. Had to go with the Hive, festival of the lost knight head. Girlfriend gave it the side-eye. She was a bit confused with the three eyes.

Okay, I know this is a somewhat contentious topic, so I’m going to lay out my belief and reasoning behind it:
Destiny 3 should NOT exist until the story of Destiny 2 has been completely restored. The fact that major story beats are COMPLETELY unplayable is COMPLETELY unacceptable. And no, I don’t just mean the Campaigns (Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Forsaken, even if unvaulting those is a great step in the right direction), I mean the WHOLE story. The Seasonal Stories HAVE to make a return with the Unvaulting. It’s WILD to me that people are so content with handwaving it away with, “Eh, the game would be too big” or “It’s over 20 Seasons, that’d be WAY too much work!” when this is literally THE TIME OF ALL TIMES that Bungie is listening to what players want!
I’ve seen the arguments that go against the idea of seasonal stories returning, so let’s go over some of them.
This is a very valid concern. When Destiny 2 went EOS with the Monument of Triumph Update earlier this year, it was unknown if D2 would ever see more content, until it was announced that they would be bringing the Vaulted Campaigns back. However, this does not necessarily mean that D2 is being taken out of EOS. Josh Deane (the guy on the right in the chair video) has mentioned the possibility of future D2 updates, but what would that mean for D3? Consider the following: Let’s say D3 is in the cards, and is currently being worked on, why does it matter what size D2 is? Does it really matter since less people will be playing it regularly anyway? And if D2 IS going to continue, take in to account that HUGE games like Helldivers 2 went from 150 GBs, a size comparable to Destiny 2, to just 20 GBs. File size updates aren’t anything new for live service games like this.
“
“
It would be too much work to bring it back.
This is likely the most valid argument I’ve heard, but isn’t this exactly what people said about the vaulted campaigns? The ones they’re bringing back? In Next Chapter for Bungie blog post, they made it VERY clear that they are willing to put in the effort the restore player trust. Even so, the difference between the Campaigns and (most of) the Seasons is that the Campaigns existed on a RADICALLY DIFFERENT version of the engine, which is why they had to be removed in the first place. The Seasons were built on the CURRENT engine that Destiny 2 runs on today. Out of the 27 Seasons (Ash & Iron included), 20 of them were built in the current engine, after the BL engine upgrade, so I’m not sure that bringing most them back would be the hugely intense backbreaking work that everyone says it is. (That’s not saying that it’d be super duper easy. The engine has, of course still been updated since BL, it just likely isn’t as radical.)
Now, how they would optimally add seasons back into the game? That depends on how they release the unvaulted campaigns. I’m of the belief they should release them every few months. Release Red War, few months later, COO, few months later, Warmind, etc. This will take a while, but what about after? I imagine Bungie is working on the next expansion for D2 in the background, (I personally don’t think D3 is happening) but it likely won’t be enough time to make an expansion that would satisfy the community, especially if all its content was recycled for the final update. So what else could possibly give them more time to work on that next expansion? I think it’d be cool if after the release of Forsaken, they shifted from rereleasing expansions, to rereleasing seasonal content from each year, with maybe a few weeks to a month between each season, starting with Forsakens seasons, then SK, BL, WQ, LF, TFS, EOF. It’d give players something to do that wouldn’t require intense backbreaking work to create since it’s already (mostly) compatible with the engine, and it gives them way more time to work on the next expansion.
Don’t take this the wrong way (I know how some of you are on here). This is not a personal attack on you if you want D3. This is just what I personally want, my opinions, and how I could see it possibly coming to fruition. I just think that it’d be a huge shame to leave a story as big and awesome as this incomplete. And remember, THIS is the time, OF ALL TIMES, that Bungie is actually listening. If you want this game to have a complete and coherent story, make your voice heard.

Even though I'm hitting the caps on Orders, completing the weekly track and doing all the other daily/weekly objectives for bright dust, I'm only able to get 3 ornaments a week at 900 BD each.
Just to complete 1 page of ornaments, you'd need 54,000 BD and at my current rate, it would take 20 weeks (5 months) FOR ONE PAGE.
There's multiple pages of ornaments, who knows how many and that's just ornaments... if you ))wanted other things, you'll need to spend the rest of your life chasing them especially if you play more than once class.
Getting Bright Engram stuff is one of two incentives for me to continue playing but as it is, focusing Bright Engram drops is such a slog that the fun just isn't there.
The reason I'm making this post is because I know for a fact that a overwhelming majority of the player base feels the same. Everyone I've talked to about this feels like they'll never get what they want so there's almost no point in trying.
