Self Promotion I built a Chrome extension that bulk deletes your old LinkedIn posts, comments and likes

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Before a job search I wanted to clean up years of LinkedIn activity, but LinkedIn only lets you delete things one by one. So I built Activity Cleaner.

What it does:

- Bulk deletes your own posts (and optionally reposts), comments and reactions

- Dry run mode: counts everything first and deletes nothing

- Works slowly on purpose, one item at a time with random pauses and breaks, so it doesn't look like a bot

- Skips other people's content automatically

- Runs entirely in your browser with your existing LinkedIn session: no password, no servers, no data collected

Free plan: 10 deletions a day. Pro ($6/mo) removes the limit.

Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/cggmnmnchnbackhfknagljdeboidbgak

It's my first extension, so I'd really appreciate feedback, especially on what breaks or what you'd want it to clean next.

Sharing Journey/Experience/Progress Updates my free new tab extension crossed 100 users (122 now), 26 days after going public. no ads

Post image
9 Upvotes

been tracking it daily since it went public on 27 sep. first week it sat at 4 users and all 4 were my friends lol

what moved it was mostly reddit. a gallery post in r/startpages (54 upvotes) is still the biggest single jump, and reddit is about half my store visits. how-to youtube shorts get views (~1.6k across 25, stuff like removing AI Mode from chrome) but I can't tell yet if they bring installs

what did basically nothing: product hunt (3 upvotes lol), X (45 followers, flat), and ~130 guide pages on my site that google shows but nobody clicks yet

store search is the one that bugs me. I'm not in the first ~100 results for bookmark manager or new tab. just submitted a new store title to test that

ratings went 0 to 4 after I added a one-time ask in the extension, no stars in it, just a button to the store

for those of you past a few hundred, did store search ever kick in or was it posts the whole way?

it's Stackboard btw, a new tab that's just your own chrome bookmarks laid out as a board. I built it, link in the comments

Sharing Journey/Experience/Progress Updates I built this to-do Chrome extension to keep tracking my task, now I am sharing with everybody

I built TaskDuster for myself because I wanted a simple way to see what I still need to do and what I’ve already finished. Having both in one place has made my day easier, so I’m sharing it in case it helps someone else too.

It keeps personal and work tasks separate, shows overdue and upcoming tasks, and keeps a history of completed ones. I also added lists, tags, recurring tasks and reminders as I needed them.

It’s free, with no account or ads. Tasks are saved locally in Chrome.

You can try it here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lplnoflkjjfklccngjakklengjihodho

I’d appreciate honest feedback, especially on what would make it easier to use.

Self Promotion I built Tokenwatch to track Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini & Antigravity usage in one Chrome extension

Hey everyone! 👋

I use multiple AI tools daily, and one thing that kept annoying me was having to open different dashboards just to check how much usage I had left and when my limits would reset.

So I built Tokenwatch, a free Chrome extension that brings everything into one place.

It currently supports:

Claude

ChatGPT / Codex

Gemini

Antigravity (via an optional macOS/windows companion)

You can check your usage limits, remaining quota, and reset times directly from the extension. It also has configurable alerts when you're getting close to your limits.

Privacy was important to me: It uses your existing signed-in sessions, doesn't require another account, and doesn't send your usage data to a Tokenwatch server.

Tokenwatch

I'm planning to improve it further and would really appreciate some feedback from other extension users and developers.

What other AI providers would you like to see supported? Or is there a feature you think would make this more useful?

Happy to hear suggestions, bug reports, or criticism. I'm actively improving it! 🙂

Self Promotion Ever seen a weirdly targeted advert? You probably had a tracker following you. CookieZ fixes that, the open source cookie blocker/editor i built.

• Upvotes

Most tracking adverts rely on third party cookies. I built an open source extension that lets you see them and block them per site. Try it out now for yourself at https://cookiez.uk

Any bugs/suggestions? Email support@cookiez.uk
Honest feedback is much appreciated :)

Self Promotion I built a Chrome extension to save products from any online store into one list

• Upvotes

I do a lot of comparison shopping. I’d end up with 15 tabs open across Amazon, small shops and random brand sites, and bookmarks that never showed the price or which option I’d picked.

So I built Kleepter. It’s a collection layer on top of the shops you already use:

  • On a product page: it picks up the title, image, price, link, store and the option you chose (like “16GB, 1TB SSD”), and you save it with one click.
  • On a search or category page: tick several products and hit Kleep All.
  • My Kleeps (toolbar popup): all your saved products in one list, whatever the store. You can open the original page or remove items.

Privacy:

  • No account and no backend.
  • No tracking.
  • Everything is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local).
  • The extension makes no network requests of its own.

It’s free, and it’s early, so some shops won’t be read correctly. If you find one that breaks, tell me which one and I’ll look at it.

Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kleepter/nfichloacegdjhmjmfmlkgfbahagopei

Site: https://kleepter.app

Questions I’d like feedback on: which stores do you shop at most, and would you want price-drop alerts or just the list?

Asking a Question Has anyone else received an email from Chrome-Stats? How reliable are its rankings?

• Upvotes

I recently received an email from Chrome-Stats saying my Chrome extension made it into their top ranking

It was a nice surprise, but I'm not familiar with how their rankings work, so I'm a little skeptical.

Has anyone else received a similar email? Is Chrome-Stats a trustworthy source for Chrome Web Store analytics?

Self Promotion I made a Chrome extension that aggregates Instagram "Liked by" lists across multiple posts locally in browser memory (zero network requests, no scraping)

• Upvotes

I run a 5,000-follower Instagram account on the side. Across my last 10 posts I had 5,893 likes from 4,020 unique people, and I wanted to know a simple thing: who are the repeat fans liking almost every post?

Native Instagram Insights only gives you total numbers, never usernames. Cross-referencing the "Liked by" modal across 10 posts by hand in a spreadsheet took hours. So I built FanPulse.

How it works under the hood (and why it doesn't trigger rate limits):

Most Instagram tools run background fetch loops or auto-scroll the DOM, which quickly gets flagged by Instagram's anti-bot detection. I wanted zero risk to my account, so I built this to be completely passive:

- When you open a post's "Liked by" modal normally in Chrome and click extract, it reads the user list and comments directly from the page's in-memory state (React Fiber / Redux store) that Instagram has already loaded on your screen.

- It makes zero extra network requests to Instagram and zero requests to any external server.

- Everything is aggregated and stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB / localStorage) with an MV3 CSP-safe dashboard.

What you can see in the dashboard:

- Multi-post fan ranking: merge 3, 10, or 50+ posts in one second to spot your top 20% repeat superfans and quiet leads (people who like 2-4 times but never comment).

- 80/20 Pareto chart, comment history search per user, and separate datasets for benchmarking competitor posts.

What it can't do:

Because it never scrapes in the background, it won't automatically crawl 100 posts while you sleep. You have to open the Likes modal on the posts you want to include. The trade-off is that your account stays 100% safe and you never have to hand over your login or cookies.

It's free for merging up to 3 posts (with a built-in 5-step visual guide on first launch), and unlimited posts/CSV export is a one-time license—no subscription.

I'm the developer and would love any feedback on the UI or how it handles different post types!

Self Promotion free link-shareable screen recordings

i wanted to send people quick screen recordings without paying a subscription, and keep the videos in my own account. so i built lumen recorder.

you record a tab or your whole screen, with your mic (and your face in a bubble if you want). when you stop, the link is already on your clipboard and the video uploads in the background. the page has the video, a clickable transcript, chapters, captions, and an optional password. the ums and long pauses get cut out of the shared copy, your own recording stays uncut.

the share links run on your extension sets that up for you in a few minutes, and it's free up to 10 gb of videos (cloudflare does ask for a card to switch storage on). therccount, and every recording is also saved as an mp4 on your computer.

it's free and open source (mit). i'd really like to hear what breaks, or what you'd want in it.

Sharing Resources/Tips Requesting host permissions only when a tool is opened: is the UX worth it?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm the developer of a free side-panel extension for web devs (formatters, JWT/regex tools, page inspection). One design choice I went back and forth on: the install prompt asks for almost nothing, and page/cookie access is requested via chrome.permissions.request the first time you open a tool that needs it.

Upside: a smaller install warning, and users see why each permission is needed.

Downside: an extra prompt mid-task, and the request has to come from a user gesture, so some flows got awkward.

For those who've shipped MV3 extensions: did optional permissions noticeably help installs or reviews, or do users mostly not care?

The extension is DevKit Forge, in case anyone wants to see the flow: DevKit Forge — Developer Toolbox

Self Promotion I built SokoScout, a Chrome extension for researching Jumia products

Thumbnail

I'm the developer of SokoScout, a Chrome extension for Jumia product research. It lets you:

• View estimated product sales.

• Enter purchase costs and shipping fees to estimate profit per item.

• Filter public product reviews by rating, date, or keyword, and export them as CSV.

Sign-in is required; available features and usage limits depend on your SokoScout plan. Sales and profit figures are estimates.

Chrome Web Store:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/nllhbdbeballdgigcdmmpblfamimojkj?utm_source=community&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=extension_launch_202610

For Jumia sellers: do rating, date, and keyword filters cover how you investigate reviews, or is there another filter you would need?

AI assisted with this post; the screenshots are from the actual extension.

Idea Validation / Need feedback I built an extension that brings back the old Yahoo Mail sidebar (all linked mailboxes on the left) + blocks ads without the page jumping

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I link about a dozen addresses (business, eBay, PayPal, personal) into one Yahoo Mail account. The old Yahoo listed every mailbox on the left. The current one hides them behind a hover menu at the bottom, and switching felt slow. So I built Classic Sidebar & Ad Blocker for Yahoo Mail.

What it does

  • Every linked mailbox in the left sidebar with live unread counts, and instant switching (no page reload)
  • Folders as a tree under the open mailbox, a second column, or a toolbar; Slim/Default/Wide sidebar; works in Yahoo’s collapsed sidebar too
  • Blocks ads in the inbox before they render, so the list doesn’t jump when ad slots disappear
  • Hides the “Offers for you” deal strips Yahoo adds above some emails, plus the ad rail on the right
  • Per-mailbox settings (rename, hide, color) without leaving your inbox
  • Follows Yahoo’s light/dark theme, popup included

A few technical notes for people here

  • MV3, no backend, no analytics. Settings live in chrome.storage.sync, and nothing leaves the browser.
  • Instead of scraping the DOM, it reads Yahoo’s own app state and navigates through the app’s own actions. That’s why switching is instant and it survives most layout changes.
  • Ad blocking is mostly done by turning off the app’s ad-slot flags rather than hiding elements after the fact, which is what removed the layout jump. A small declarativeNetRequest ruleset covers the rest.
  • To avoid a flash of the stock layout on refresh, the sidebar is drawn at document_start from a cached copy, then swapped for live data.
  • One lesson: I had a hidden same-origin iframe preloading Yahoo’s settings page so the settings panel would open instantly. It was quietly making emails open ~35% slower, because a second copy of the app shares the main thread. Now it loads on hover and unloads when idle.

It’s free. Not affiliated with Yahoo.

Happy to hear feedback, bugs, or what you’d want next. I’m thinking about reader features: copy buttons for order and tracking numbers, and a warning for lookalike senders like “paypa1”.

Idea Validation / Need feedback made a chrome extension that writes replies to facebook page comments for you

so answering comments on a facebook page takes forever. same questions again and again, "price?", "do you ship?", "is this still available?"... and if you skip them people just leave

i made a small extension for this. it adds a button next to each comment in meta business suite. you click it, it reads the post + the comment and writes a reply. it also works with photos and stickers, and replies in the same language as the person

it doesn't post anything by itself. the reply just goes in the box, you can change it, then you send it

Sharing Journey/Experience/Progress Updates Web Markups reached 117 installs! What should I improve next?

Post image
4 Upvotes

As of October 21, Web Markups has reached 117 installs. It’s still early, but thank you to everyone who’s tried something I’m building!

It’s a Chrome extension for marking up live webpages, taking screenshots, and recording tabs. You can also save captures to the cloud and share them through links.

If you’ve tried it, I’d love your honest feedback:

  • What do you like or dislike?
  • What feels confusing or gets in your way?
  • What would you add—or remove?

Even one small frustration is helpful. I want to make it more useful, not just add features.

Self Promotion I made a Chrome extension that lets ChatGPT and Claude see what's on screen in a YouTube video

Every time I got stuck on a YouTube tutorial, I'd paste the link into ChatGPT and ask "what did he type at 4:12?" It never knew. This week I tested free ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, and all three told me they can't see the screen and asked for a screenshot. At best they read the captions, but in a tutorial the important part is on screen: the code, the command, the settings menu. So I built FrameCap.

When you open a YouTube video, a small FrameCap button appears. You pick what to grab (pictures and words, or just one), how often (a frame every 1 to 15 seconds), and which part of the video. Click "Send to AI" and it opens ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity with a PDF of the frames and a ready prompt with the timestamped transcript. There's also an AI Agents mode that downloads a ZIP (frame grids + transcript + a README) for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

It doesn't download anything from YouTube. It seeks the video that's already playing in your tab, waits until each frame is actually on screen, and draws it to a canvas. Before capturing it asks the player for its highest quality, so frames come out at 1080p or 4K instead of blurry. The PDF only puts 2 or 4 frames on a page, because free chat plans shrink big images and small code becomes unreadable. When it's done, the video goes back to exactly where you were.

It can't do everything. It works on YouTube only for now, on videos up to 60 minutes. It needs captions for the words, because there's no speech-to-text yet; without captions you still get the pictures. A long video at a 1-second gap takes a few minutes to capture.

Everything runs in your browser. No account, no servers touching your video, no tracking in the extension. It only asks for youtube.com, and the AI sites are optional permissions if you turn on auto-paste.

It's free.

I'm the developer. I'd love to hear if something breaks or what's confusing.

Two days ago I posted here my little extension SidePDF hit 300 users overnight. After 2 days here I'm with 643 users. I don't know what happened but I'm over the moon right now.  I created this extension to solve my own problem I had with PDFs. I couldn't find a way to expand the pdf margins and add texts, images and drawings to my PDFs so I created one for my own use. Didn't expect it to explode like this and glad that some people find my tool useful. If you are a PDF file user plz give it a try . Please feel free to ask anything, I'm happy to help. Thanks everyone in here. Learnt a lot from you guys.🙏🙏

Sharing Resources/Tips [Free] Visual Delight: a pixel pet on your pages + a calm New Tab, no account, no tracking

Thumbnail

**What it does**

- A pixel-art pet that lives along the bottom of your pages (feed / play / streaks / it grows up)

- A New Tab with a calm scene or moving wallpaper, clock, search, shortcuts, tasks and a focus timer

- 20+ moods: soft cursor, page light and particles, with an intensity slider

- Videos get a soft ambient glow around them, like a backlit TV

- Dark mode for any site, reader view, focus ruler

**Privacy**: runs fully on your device. No account, no ads, no analytics. Anonymous crash reports from the extension's own code can be turned off in settings.

**Not annoying (hopefully)**: off on banking/sign-in/payment pages, per-site off switch, Alt+Shift+V kill switch, respects reduce-motion.

I'm the developer. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome.
