my first monogatari-inspired web dividers! (set 1) ♡

hey everyone! i've made my first set of web dividers inspired by monogatari series, featuring characters and small details from the anime.

these are free to use for your blogs, profiles, or other personal projects. credit is appreciated, but not required.

this is only set 1! if you like my work, i'd really appreciate your support through upvotes and comments. if there's enough interest, i'll make more sets featuring other characters and motifs from the series.

thanks for checking out my work! ♡

Question Cloth Posters

• Upvotes

I'm not quite sure if this belongs here, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway.

I have these four fabric posters, and based on what I'd seen elsewhere, I assumed they'd come with metal rods to hold them in place at the top and bottom and help weigh them down.

However, not only did they not come with any rods, but upon closer inspection, I can't even find anywhere to insert them.

I'm a little confused about how I'm supposed to hang these posters. I'm hesitant to hang them like regular paper posters using masking tape because I'm worried it might damage the fabric (or simply not look very good).

If anyone has any advice on how to hang them on my wall so they look nice, I'd really appreciate it!

Question Is there anywhere to buy Monogatari Novel Box Set 2 and Final

• Upvotes

Hello. I purchased box set 1 of the Monogatari novels without issue, but have been unable to find box sets 2 and final. I purchased them from somewhere only to be refunded and told they are out of stock.

Is there anywhere these are able to be purchased currently? Thanks

Discussion I like how Monogatari doesn’t have beef with other fandoms

Usually within larger anime there’s always some fandom conflict.

Jujutsu kaisen and MHA
Re zero and other Isekai’s
Attack on titan and Code Geass/FMAB

Even in webnovels we see lotm, reverend insanity, and orv fans constantly fight each other.

But with Monogatari there’s not really any specific fandom monogatari fans hate and nor is there any fandom that specifically hates Monogatari.

I think it’s due to just how unique Monogatari is as a story so there’s not really anything else that’s similar enough to be compared to it. Monogatari being unknown to Newgens is probably also a good reason.

I know Monogatari is far from the only anime to be like this but it’s still something I find pleasant in this community.

Discussion Monogatari is more than just a series—there’s no denying it.

I’m sure all of us here feel the same way; in fact, you can’t ignore just how incredibly well-crafted Monogatari is, whether it’s a novel or a series.

BUT, ¡guys! you know what? I’ve come across a lot of people who tend to reduce Monogatari to just fan service, and to me, that’s usually a crystal-clear sign of what kind of daily novel reader or anime viewer they are.

To me, anyone who reduces Monogatari to just a weird series with too much dialogue, Hanekawa’s boobs, and an incestuous lolicon protagonist seems kind of disrespectful! Where’s the part where you acknowledge that it’s a work with narrative depth and writing that’s not just “remarkable”—no, not just “remarkable,” but “incredibly,” “clearly” incredible? It is, and I’d thank Nisio a million times over if he ever saw this

Like I was saying, someone who criticizes Monogatari by reducing it to just its risqué themes tells me they’re someone with way too much porn—enough to fill their brain—who isn’t capable of separating an expansive, extensive series with its various distinctive elements and noticing them!

The image depicts a snarky critic of the series—a perfect use of this image by freakrararagi

But hey, I respect opinions; after all, this is nothing more than… something I think.

Question Who would you say is the most eccentric character in the Monogatari franchise?

So sorry if this was asked before because I have a fondness for the weird nature of the series as I recently got to the Jagirama storyline as the curse victim stuck out to me for her unusual behavior.

I mean, I have nothing against Nadeko Sengoku to be honest as I just find her weird nature fascinating for how the novels describe her as someone who wears a swimsuit in public to fight off her anxiety about being cursed with a snake charm since I am really enjoying reading the Bakemonogatari storyline.

Other Crunchyroll combined all the monagatari series

I’m not sure when this happened, but recently I noticed that Crunchyroll has combined all of the Monogatari series (that they have) into ome listing. They did this same thing to the aobuta series around when santa claus came out. What’s interesting is that they have the episodes in novel release order instead of anime release, which means that they took chunks of episodes from different shows and packaged them into their original order, which is cool. The exceptions being that they dont have everything, like they dont have koyomimonogatari so it goes from tsuki to owari, which has both seasons in the same “season”. They also only have koyomi vamp instead of all three kizus but that’s fine since the blu rays are accessible. They also dont have zoku owarimonogatari, and weirdly the last three episodes of bake are missing (ep13-15, parts 3-5 of Tsubasa cat), but again, all of the content missing from Crunchyroll is accesible through dvd, I’m just saying what parts they’re missing. I very much appreciate them putting it all one place and in order like this. It’s useful for existing fans who are rewatching and it’s important for new fans to watch in the proper way, and this helps both. Weird that this mega listing is under “Bakemonogatari“ and not just like “Monogatari series” or something but that’s a personal preference thing ig

Question Questions about the Monogatari Series

Hello everyone, I'd like to explain something I'm wondering about.

I've been really looking forward to watching this anime because of its visual style, but especially because of the way it deals with psychological issues. I've seen a lot of people say that this anime is about each person's journey toward maturity during adolescence, dealing with all the problems that can arise during that stage of life.

So, is this anime made for teenagers? In other words, are the mental health issues explored in the series exclusively problems that occur during adolescence? Would an adult who has already gone through that stage of life but still struggles with mental health issues be unable to relate to any of the themes explored in the series?

I'm asking because I'm in that situation myself, and I'd like to know if I might be able to relate to any of the characters.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Sorry if I've made any mistakes. I'm Spanish, and I don't speak much English.

Other It’s sad how the Off and Monster Seasons have no English publication

I just started collecting all the novels and it’s really disappointing on how the publishers just gave up releasing English translated versions. It’s been over 10 years and I really don’t think I’m the only one who wants them. Sorry for my rant but I’m just sad and mad.

Question Watching recommendation

It's been a few years since I watched the full show in LN release order and, since I forgot a lot of it, I'm planning to rewatch everything.

Would watching it in chronological order be fine? Or should I watch it in LN release order again and watch it in chronological order later?

I can't really decide and would love some opinions on it :)
