Manga Nisekoi is a masterpiece Spoiler
I know I’m late to this but I only recently discovered this show thanks to a friend —— he explained it real nicely and even sent me the manga link.
My first impression of this was “wtf a harem? Why the hell is it a harem. I’m never gonna watch it” ;but after sometime I OBVIOUSLY ended up doing so.
To begin, the first season of the anime was refreshing——the comedy, the dynamic between Raku and Chitoge was top-notch, not to mention the animation and exaggeration of every interaction. But after season one, I decided to just read the manga; I saw many comments on season 2 saying it was mostly fillers.
When I saw the number of chapters the manga had my jaw dropped—— I deadass thought the author was just dragging it . However, after finishing it and watching the characters grow and develop, the 229 chapters were nothing short of perfect (they might’ve been too short because I can’t get enough of them).
Nisekoi’s harem, although I hated it at first , really wasn’t all that bad. It’s really hard to put into words but the harem really made me emotional and watching the pair end up together definitely made me shed a tear or two.
EVERYONE has to read Nisekoi if they haven’t already, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. I clowned it at first because I initially believed the plot was dumb ,and the author kept introducing new potential lovers; but in the end the show really reached deep within my heart —— I would deadass feel so nostalgic, happy and sad all at the same time while reading it and I’m saying this as someone who’s usually worryingly numb and cold—— it completely exceeded my expectations , and went beyond it. I will most likely never forget this anime.
I hope there can be a season 3 made for it , just like what Kimi Ni Todoke got.
