Humor Pumpkin contest at my local Aldi.
The employees at my local Aldi decorated some pumpkins and are letting the customers vote. Everyone did a great job.

I’ve been a fan of Aldi for its lower prices on basic items. But recently, I’ve noticed the food spoiling well before the best by dates. It’s to the point where it no longer makes sense to shop there, as the price might be slightly cheaper, but the product is unusable!
Cottage cheese :
I bought 2 containers on at the same time as an easy protein additive (2 because I go through it so quick). When I opened the first one, it had a moldy smell and taste to it without any visible/grown mold spores. I threw that away. The second one is clearly growing something, as it has expanded so much that the top and bottom are convex.
Almond milk:
I’ve bought cartons before that tasted a little off, like they were made with stale almonds, but that didn’t bother me, as I thought ‘That’s what you get for a cheaper price’. But this jug that I opened a few days ago was tasting fine, and now suddenly has gone off (with over half left that I will have to toss).
Provolone Cheese Slices (from the Italian trio pack):
They developed mold after being open for only a few days. I threw them in the freezer because I couldn’t deal with them immediately. I might cut off the moldy part and use what I can of the rest.
Ground Turkey:
It didn’t go bad, but I kept finding hard pieces in it that would hurt my teeth when I was eating it. I use it for taco meat, and the old stuff was great. I noticed a ton of tendon pieces that I had to pick out of this batch, and the packaging now says “contains up to 28% of retained water. There was a ton of water that I had to drain/cook out.

Mine and my husband’s most favorite mustard! I’m so excited. Anniversary night is made! (I make soft pretzels and they’re always made so much better if we have Burman’s on hand)

I f*cked up today. I went to Aldi after work, scanned and bagged my groceries at the self check out....and didn't pay. Don't ask me how, I was just spaced out.
I noticed as soon as I pulled out with my groceries. I immediately brought them back in, scanned them, paid for them and profusely apologized. It was like $66 or something.
Question is...will I be on some sort of "watch list"? I know the self checkouts record you.

I remember someone asking about these pizzas a few weeks ago, and commenting how I also really like them and wished I had stocked a few. Well today in my RI store they reappeared!
They’re thin enough I can break them into quarters while frozen and just use a big slice as a base for scrambled eggs as change up from a typical breakfast sandwich or avocado toast in the morning.

A+ in my book. Has a good spice and is mighty tasty on some tacos and enchiladas 👌

Saw this is available next week. Just in time as my vacuum food sealer just broke 20 minutes ago. Has anyone bought this? If so, how well does it work? The sealer I had that just broke was a gift. While I’d say I didn’t use my vacuum food sealer that much, so I’m not really looking for anything expensive or fancy. I just need something that gets the job done and holds its seal. I am also wondering if the bags are easy to purchase elsewhere such as at Walmart.

I saw someone post about the fiddle leaf figs being back. Here's a before and after of the one I purchased a few years ago. Same pot and everything haha. Please ignore the dead leaf on the top that snapped and I tried to tape to save 🥲

Millville is usually on point with their cereal but this was beyond disappointing. Anyone else completely let down by this?

Does anybody know when the sale of the Seasonal Black Tiger Shrimp start and end?
I’m looking to stock up on them and would like to know when their season comes to an end.

Thanks!

I love Chicken Caesar pizza at restaurants, but sometimes I am disappointed in certain Mama Cozzi's pizzas. Sometimes the crust is terrible, for instance. Looking for a review from anyone who's tried it!

Idk how long ago I bought the Ambiano vacuum sealer. Maybe 2-3 years ago? Anyway, I have long since lost the instruction manual, and although I’ve watched some videos, I’m having difficulty with mine and wondering if my experience is within the realm of normal.
In order to snap it closed, I have to lean on it with most of my strength. It is hard to close. And then, once I do close it and turn it on, it doesn’t start sucking out air immediately. I have to kind of fuss with it for a little while. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to stop on its own or what, but I let it go for what felt like a really long time and it never quite seemed to finish. I’m using the Aldi bags.
They’ll be back in store next week, and I’m tempted to buy a new one and return this one in that box lol. I probably won’t, but I am strongly considering a replacement.

I had loved the Brookdale brand of sloppy Joe sauce. Then it vanished from the shelves, and within the last couple of weeks it reappeared. So of course I bought a can. The new recipe is nothing but a can of catsup. I'm not kidding. It has no relationship to the previous recipe.

Aldi sold a bread making kit a couple months ago that I opted to buy (the one with the silicone bowl, bread whisk and whatnot).
I like it, it's great, and it came with some great recipes
But I cannot for the life of me find that booklet that came with it, which means I can't make the everything bagel bread (I wanna do it but with za'atar seasoning instead)
Can someone please help me with getting ahold of the recipe?

I understand time is money. I'm not rich. Sometimes I need to see the total of the purchase before I choose what method of payment I need to use. And being so rushed is embarrassing. I don't want to have to explain my finances to the cashier as to why I can't swipe my debit card first. I might need to put it on my credit card. Sure I could cancel the debit card transaction and then swipe my credit card but that will take more time and be embarrassing.

Hey guys, I have a question in regards to the Aldi dairy products. So, my wife has shopped at Aldi off and on for years and we mostly dig the establishment. However, some dairy products to me are very questionable.
The worst is their sour cream. Holy crap It's absolutely disgusting. Like foul. It stinks and the consistency is not like Daisy or other off brands we have used.
Second worst is the milk. It's OK for a bit but it just seems to go bad or sour much faster than Kroger, Walmart, or Meijer.
Lastly, the cheese. There is something about the sliced cheese that seems unnatural or artificial.
I want to know if anyone else feels the same way I do. Thanks!
