Mod Announcement šŸ“£ Concerning Political Posts.

Hi guys!

Your friendly neighborhood moderation team here just wanting to clear up the subject of political posts. Due to an influx of political posts/comments/etc. a few years ago our team decided to not allow any mentions of anything political.

That means literally any political talk about any country or any of their respective leaders/beliefs/actions.

The flame wars on posts and comments sections got to be overwhelming on top of reddit changing their filter system for subs as big as this one. So we're the first to admit we're doing it for our own sanity. This has actually been in place since around the time of the overhaul of the site awhile ago, but not everyone knows so here you go.

Whoever you voted for/supported, even if it's just on the Masked Singer, please keep it to yourself.

Edit for Clarification: For people still blatantly posting about political issues, even if framed as an advice post. ALL posts are removed and you will be given a single warning and upon your second offense a permaban.

Do not pass go.

Do not collect $200.

The mods have enough mental issues.

Edit 2 electric boogaloo:

If there's enough interest, a weekly megathread for political hoopla isn't outlandish. We just want to keep the random posts of "my mom supports X and I support Y", etc. out of the way of the normal content.

Update UPDATE: I found out my fiancƩ asked me out because of a $20 bet

Hi everyone! I honestly didn't expect so many responses to my post. I read through a lot of your comments and some of them actually helped me understand why I was so upset.

It wasn't really about the $20. It was more about knowing that everyone else had been in on this little secret for four years, even when I was happily telling our story at our engagement party. Anyway, I talked to my fiancƩ again. I explained that I wasn't questioning his love for me, I just felt stupid being the only person who didn't know. This time he actually listened. He apologized for keeping it from me and for making me feel like I was overreacting.

We ended up talking about the night we met. He told me he'd noticed me at the birthday party before his friends even brought up the bet. He'd been trying to find the courage to talk to me for a while, and the $20 was just the final push. He also admitted he wanted to disappear when he knocked over that poor person's glass lol. I always thought that part was adorable.

A couple nights later we went out for dinner, just the two of us. Somehow we started talking about that night again and ended up laughing so hard about the whole thing. I still wish he'd told me sooner but I don't feel embarrassed about it anymore. Our story didn't start exactly how I thought it did and that's okay.

Four years later, he's still the same nervous guy I fell in love with and I'm still excited to marry him.

And yes, I told him he owes me that $20 šŸ˜‚

Advice Needed My friend donated the $900 she owed me to charity in my name. Now she says we're even

• Upvotes

I honestly don't even know what to make of this situation.

About six months ago, one of my closest friends lost her job and was struggling with money, so I lent her $900 to help her get through it. I wasn't in a rush to get it back and figured she'd pay me when she could. Well, a few days ago she sent me a screenshot of a $900 donation to a charity. At first I thought she'd sent it to the wrong person lol. Turns out she donated the money in my name as a way of thanking me for helping her when she needed it.

This sounds sweet until I asked about the money she still owed me. She was genuinely confused. Apparently she considers the donation her way of paying me back because the money went to a good cause. And to make things even more awkward, the charity publicly thanked ME for my generosity. Now I feel weird because I never actually chose to donate anything.

I tried explaining that while I think donating to charity is great, that wasn't her money to decide what to do with. She thinks I'm missing the point of her gesture.

I feel like an asshole for being upset about money going to charity but I also could've really used that $900 back.

Am I being unreasonable here? Дause I genuinely don't understand how donating money in someone's name counts as paying them back.

Update UPDATE! (AITA for cutting of my MIL and SIL after they said there’s no longer a relationship)

Hello again!

So it’s been a hot minute since I posted my original post but I had several people request an update sooo here it is!

I’m gonna start off by saying thank you to everyone who commented on my original post, unfortunately the reason for the late update is a mix of good and bad.
Late in September while still being at my in-laws house, I ended up miscarrying my twins, I’m still reeling from that, and reeling from the fact that my MIL tried to make it all about her feelings because I was avoiding literally everybody in the house. She told my fiance that she was hurt that I was avoiding her.
She compared my miscarriage to one she had and kept telling me ā€œat least it was….ā€ (Insert whatever miscarriage ā€œsilver liningā€ possible)

The good news is we finally got our own place! We moved early in October, got out of my in-laws in a couple of days.
Since then my fiance and I have gone minimal to borderline no contact. My MIL kept trying to invite herself over to help us move, two days into us being out of her house she messaged my fiance that she missed her grandbaby, she also tried to convince my fiance to let her take some family photos of us after we were settled.
All of these were answered with a no, especially the family photo comment because she posts all her photography stuff on her Facebook page and I have been unfriended since AUGUST.
I haven’t heard from my SIL since we moved.
My fiance and I have been able to cook again, and trying to get back to being healthy. Our son is happy and thriving, he’s finally sleeping through the night consistently, and he’s doing great without all the extra stress. My dog and cat are also doing a million times better now.

My MIL started another fight resulting in the borderline no contact after my fiance and I removed ourselves from her Life360 circle. We still talk to my FIL and he’s doing as ok as possible all things considered.

Listener Write In AITAH for calling my fiance "a little rapey"

Hello friends, fellow long-time THT listener here. Please help me with my situation rn as my fiance is dragging this fight on- insisting the only problem this morning was my comment

Background- my fiance (27m) and I (26f) have been dating for 3 years. He has always been very forward with sex, bought be a vibrator and lingerie a few weeks after begining to date. I didnt mind, really- this isnt a red flag to me, especially at that point.

I wouldn't say that my libidio keeps up with his necessarily, but for a while, he was pretty respectful of that.

As time went on he would express more and more disappointment over it if I said no, sometimes asking "tonight then?" "Tomorrow?" Etc.

If it had been a few days, often he'd make little comments about how we "never have sex anymore" etc.

Eventually, he'd start asking to finish himself on me if I don't want to have sex. Sometimes I say yes, sometimes I say no.

At some point fairly recently we had a big fight about it, because he consistently asked me to participate in a kink I wasn't interested in, and said he wants to get another girlfriend so that she can do that to him and I wont have to be asked anymore. This really triggered me, I've never wanted an open relationship and still dont. We almost broke up (were not engaged yet), but had a calmer conversation about it later on that was more productive.

Well recently I had been "putting out" a little more, just got into reading some romance books, probably a little more motivated. And it seems to have resparked this untoward advances. Asking about it morning and night, flashing me even when I say put it away. He'll come up and grab me when I'm doing things, even though that may be a normal part of a relationship, the added expectation feels too much and makes me feel uncomfortable. Which I have explained. Im not the type of woman who gets turned on just at the thought of having sex. He is the type of man who thinks showing off his dick or grabbing my tits is romance.

So the last few days I've been coming down with a sinus cold. A huge headache, and have expressed this to him. We had sex three nights ago- he has since asked for sex the following morning, night, yesterday morning and night, and this morning.

I continuously told him no, that I'm not feeling well.

He called me on my commute (2hrs long) this morning and we complained together about traffic. I told him I'm unsure if my commute is worth staying at the job anymore. He told me I'll have to move to another town (as a joke, but the town he mentioned is equally as far as our house)

As I was saying this, he said "it wouldn't matter anyway, Id still get the same amount of sex" with two interpretations that he'd either move another gf in (he continues to make jokes like this) or that I never give him sex anyway.

This is where I may be the Asshole. I got really upset at this, saying "how dare you continuously insinuate that I am not enough for you, that I NEVER have sex with you, how dare you say that if I dont give you sex morning and night that you must never have sex. I have never met another 27 year old man who is so obsessed with getting his dick wet, and honestly the amount of pressure that you put on me, some people would consider kind of rapey."

This obviously struck a chord because he went silent. And after a few minutes I asked him if he even understands what I said and why I would be upset. He made me repeat myself, then told me that nothing he could add would be productive. I told him, saying sorry and that he would try not to make me feel that way would be productive. And he said, begrudgingly, "ill try not to make you feel that way." Which hardly feels like an apology.

So AITAH for calling my fiance, "a little rapey"

Hello! I 28f got a text from my coworker 21f about our job. No I am not a manager or a higher up. The same job description.
She is asking me if she should take off tomorrow. I said no. You have 12 points already. They would fire you. I would use that extra point for your doctors appointment.
They would fire you. She told me that I’m not understanding.
I know from other coworkers that if you get 12 or 14 points they will fire you.
You can get half or all if it taken away once next year rolls around.

She did text me saying that the boss called her selfish and self centered. And that she is using the system.
I am trying to understand heršŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøbut I think she she wait until next week.

TLDR; my coworkers is wondering if she should take tomorrow off. I said no. You will be fired. She is telling me that I don’t understand her

Listener Write In AITAH for thinking my husbands behavior on the road is divorce worthy?

I F25 and my husband M31 have a a year old little boy. He is the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I am unable to have any more children because of health issues which I think can contribute to my anxiety about the safety and wellbeing of my son.
My husband is a terrible driver. He gets angry, he speeds through yellow lights, he honks, he swerves. It’s honestly the biggest point of contention for us because it bothers me but it really pisses me off when the baby is in the car as well. It makes me feel like he doesn’t care about the safety of myself or of our baby. We also live in a community where there are tons of road rage incidents where guns are pulled or fights break out. I’ve voiced my concerns MULTIPLE times and have never gotten through to him. The last time (today) he told me I was I was never on his ā€œsideā€ when things like this come up. I’m at a loss for what to do next. I feel like if anything happened to me or my baby I would fully dive into psychosis and never look back. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Advice Needed Title: Is it normal for your partner to ask for a heads-up before sharing devastating medical news so they can mentally prepare?

I recently received some really sad medical news yesterday, and today I decided to share it with my partner.
He had a very long and exhausting day, which I completely understand. However, when I told him the news, he mentioned that in the future, he’d appreciate it if I gave him a heads-up before sharing something so heavy, so he could mentally prepare himself and show up better for me emotionally.
I understand where he’s coming from, and I know he probably meant well. But at the same time, I was sharing something incredibly painful and frightening about my own health.
It made me feel a little confused and hurt because I didn’t realize I needed to prepare my partner before telling him something devastating that I’m personally going through.
I don’t expect him to have all the right words or react perfectly. Sometimes I just want to feel like I can turn to the person I love when something terrible happens.
I’m genuinely trying to understand both perspectives here.
Is it reasonable for a partner to ask for advance notice before receiving difficult news, or is it fair to expect emotional support without having to prepare them
I’d really appreciate some honest perspectives.

Listener Write In Dating in my 30s

I (30F) started dating Sam (33M) a couple of months ago. We’ve known each other since 2022 though as we’re co-workers. He ended up giving me the key to his house. I was surprised at first, but I took it anyways. He seemed happy to give it to me and I really liked him.

I would go to his house often. Since we both work a lot, we’d have a lot of game and movie nights. We went out, did all nighters on the phone, and have been passionately intimate. He told me that I was welcome to come to his house whenever I wanted. If I wanted to do laundry at his house, I could because I don’t have a washer and dryer in my apartment. He told me I was welcome to whatever I wanted in his house and that it would soon be my house anyways. If I was off and he worked that day, he would go to work and leave me in his house without a problem. He would tell me that he wanted me to be there when he got back from work.

There have been times where I stayed back home and told him that I wanted to come over but didn’t because he didn’t answer his phone. He would ask why I didn’t just come over because I have the key. I asked him if he would be OK with this and he said yes.

Lately I’ve been going over often and he didn’t seem to mind it. I would sleep over and he would ask me if I was coming back the next night and the next night. I figured he loved having me over. Yesterday we did dinner and a movie at his house and I slept over. We had a disagreement before we left to work separately, but kissed and said goodbye before we parted ways. We didn’t want anyone at work to know about us, so we never drove together.

Tonight, I went to his house to surprise him. I’ve done this before. I had called and texted him earlier and he didn’t respond so I figured he was sleeping. Because he said I can come over whenever I wanted, I went over without saying anything.

He doesn’t usually hear me come in. His house is pretty big and his room door is always closed with the fan on. I opened the room door and wanted to surprise him even further. I wanted to call him and then answer while standing right behind him to spoke him (since it’s October). I called him and watched him sigh, ignore my call and say ā€œKira what the hell. Why are you calling me?ā€ He then swiped my name away. I was so shocked. I then asked loudly why he ignored my call. He said ā€œwhatā€ confusingly and then I left.

He didn’t come after me. He didn’t call me. I left, but then I called him again and he answered. I asked if I could get anything that I left at his house that night. I didn’t want to come back. He said yes. I came back and started searching for my clothes. He came downstairs and asked what the hell was going on in his house. I told him that I was looking for the clothes that I said two minutes ago I’d be picking up. I took his key off of my key ring and left it on his dining room table.

He honestly seemed like he didn’t care. It was like a complete 180 of the person that I was with the day before. I wish I could say I was surprised, but I wasn’t (that’ll have to be another post). I asked him why he ignored my call and he said that he wanted to be alone but I just showed up. I asked him why he didn’t just say that. He said that he felt like I would think he was joking. I told him if he seriously told me he wanted to be alone that I would honor it because I feel the same way sometimes. When I want to be alone, I don’t come over.

I reminded him of what he said, that he gave me a key so I can come over whenever I wanted. He told me that he didn’t meet every day. This surprised me because that’s not the impression he gave. He asked me to come over so much that it eventually led to him saying that he wanted me to move in. Literally last night at this time, he was talking about remodeling certain things in his house for me.

I had never felt so embarrassed, ashamed and unwanted. In that split second I asked myself if I was being too clingy. Maybe I am too clingy. Should I have not believed him when he said that I can come over whenever I wanted?

I feel like I can’t stop crying because I actually fell for him. I know I’m 30, but before him I was in only one relationship. I had a strict Caribbean mom, so I wasn’t allowed to date or be around boys at all. To be honest I don’t know too much about dating other than what I see online. My mom didn’t date either, so she couldn’t teach me. I don’t know what I did wrong.

Listener Write In AITA for asking the woman in my yoga class to move her mat a few inches?

• Upvotes

I take a 7am vinyasa class twice a week. The studio fits about 25 people and on weekday mornings there are usually 8 or 9 of us, so everyone has plenty of room.

For the last month, one woman has been setting her mat right next to mine. Not near me. Right next to me, like 3 inches between the edges. I always take the same spot in the back left corner, and she shows up after me, walks past all the empty floor and lays it down beside me. Every time we put our arms out, our hands hit. Last week her foot landed on my mat during a twist and I almost slipped.

At first I just moved over myself. But I'm in the corner, so there's only so far I can go.

On Thursday before class I smiled and said "Hey, would you mind scooting over a little? We keep bumping into each other." She looked at me like I'd asked for her car keys. She said she likes this spot because of the light, and that I don't own the corner.

I said of course not, I just wanted a bit of space, and that I'd happily take a different spot if she wanted the corner. She picked up her mat, moved to the other side of the room, and told the instructor after class that I was "territorial."

AITA?

TL;DR: In a mostly empty yoga class, a woman keeps putting her mat 3 inches from mine and our hands hit. I politely asked her to scoot over and offered her my spot. She called me territorial.

Listener Write In My (24M) father (49M) ruined my life. And he’s still trying to ruin it more.

I don't even know how to write this out, and it feels so weird but I just want to put my life out there somewhere. I originally posted this on a burner account but I decided to just post it on main anyway. I just need some kind of peace knowing that the whole story is out there somewhere, cause no one in my life really knows all of it. Sorry that it's such a long post literally a novel, but well, it's literally just most of my life story of how my dad ruined it.

When I was around 2-3 years old, my dad cheated on my mom for the first time, I don't have any memory of that of course but in later years I found out that was when my mom considered something drastic for the first time. She decided not to do that and was gonna stay with her parents for a bit after that, and apparently I must've known something at that age because I was crying and wanted to go with her and didn't wanna stay with my dad. Intuition I guess.

One of the first incidents like this that I have an actual memory of is when I was around 10 years old. My dad would go out to the bar all the time and drink till he couldn't even walk straight. My mom would be forced to go and pick him up at 3 am from the bar, and sometimes I had to come along too cause she couldn't leave me home alone in the middle of the night. I remember being scared of my dad every time he drank, he didn't abuse me or my mom, at least not physically. Mentally is a whole other thing.

But I just felt unsettled at how much he didn't seem like himself, that stuck with me forever cause it happened every time he drank too much. This kind of thing happened a lot where he would drink till late hours, then mom would be forced to go pick him up, guess i didn't think much of it back then cause it just happened so often it became normal. Once the three of us moved out of my dad's parent's house, I remember one of the really major incidents.

It was another late night of my dad drinking, but I guess this time he must've been talking to other girls or something (I'm assuming now because of what I know about him, but at the time just thought this came out of nowhere.) My mom was texting and calling him telling him he should come home now, and I guess he just snapped. He told her to pack her bags and get out of the house. Now of course my mother couldn't help but break down and cry, and I don't blame her. I know people say you shouldn't show this kind of emotion and stuff in front of your kid but man she didn't really have a great support system for herself and i don't regret being there for her.

So just imagine 11 year old me getting my iPad out and trying to text my father begging him to come home while I was crying and sitting with my mom, telling her not to divorce him while she kept saying she wanted to. I regret ever trying to convince them to stay together, I wish I knew enough back then to tell her that yes she should have divorced him. But I was just a kid man, of course I wanted my parents to stay together I didn't know any better. I don't really remember how this incident resolved but eventually it just faded away and we went back to "normal" life.

Sometime in between this and 2016, was when I started to realize how different I want from other kids. In more ways than one. I always had strange behaviors growing up, everyone just thought I was a weird kid. But eventually I ended up being diagnosed with Autism. It all started to make sense all the things in my life that never felt quite right.

Being Autistic never bothered me, but it did make me struggle with some things others flourished at. Being social, having life skills that I think are basic for most people. But none of that mattered too much to me when I was young. This was also around the time I started to realize that I was gay. I didn't know what my parents would think, and I didn't have any plans to come out to them any time soon because I was too scared.

I was able to tell a few friends of mine and felt comfortable with them, they supported me. Turns out this backfired because one night after I had come back from a movie with one of my friends, I paid for his movie ticket just cause I felt like doing something nice for him. Anyway my dad was convinced that this friend forced me to buy his ticket, and he ended up going through my phone. That's when he discovered the texts I had with my friends where I talked about being gay. And my parents ended up grounding me and taking everything away for a few hours.

My mom came and sat down with me and asked me if I was sure, then cried because she said she wanted grandkids. Remember how I said my mom was super nice and everything earlier? That's still completely true. I firmly believe she only had this sort of closed mindset because of my father. Because in later years and up to current day, she supports me fully. She even bought me makeup when I was thought I was into that during the MUA YouTube years. (I ended up not liking makeup lol) but she even painted my nails and stuff for me when I wanted it.

My dad on the other hand never talked about it, but obviously he didn't support me. The night they found out, he told me "I love you because you're my son, but I can never accept "that"". I remember one night a few years after this when we're having a party with my cousins. My little cousin just got a new makeup kit and wanted to use it so she painted cherries on my face.

I remember my dad was so shit faced drunk, when he came inside while we were all playing uno, he just grabbed my face, pushed my glasses off my face and just stared at the makeup. He didn't say anything, but the look of disgust on his face just shot right through me. And then he walked off to his room. I cried that night in my bed until I fell asleep.

The next major incident I remember was in 2016 when I was like 14 years old. I don't wanna say exactly where I lived but my town had a massive wildfire and every one had to evacuate. My mom was out of town on a trip with my grandmother and it was just me and my dad home. I remember helping pack up some emergency stuff and bringing our two big dogs in the vehicle and driving out of town as it was literally in a massive blaze. There's only one major highway out of my town and the fire was already in the woods surrounding it so we had to drive through a lot of smoke and haze.

Anyway so while this was all going on and I had no idea if my house was gonna burn down and if I'd have anywhere to live, my dad decided this was the perfect time to cheat on his wife yet again. So we met up with a woman who worked with my dad and he told me it was just out of convenience to stick together, and that she didn't have anywhere to go. We ended up meeting my mom and grandmother at our campground hours outside of town cause we had a camper there.

The woman from my dad's work stayed with us in our camper and took my bedroom. I used to huddle up in the tiny bed in that room when I felt anxious and I definitely could've used it that night, but my father wanted to let his mistress sleep in there, guess that was more important. A couple days of this goes by and one day while my mom is in town getting us food and everything, I look outside and realize my dad and the girl were not around. I didn't know where they went and my mom was already (rightfully) untrusting of him because of his previous cheating.

She had told me to text her if anything happened and since I couldn't find them i did text her, I had no idea what was gonna happen. My mom came back to the campground and confronted my dad who was already drunk by the way in the middle of the afternoon. They ended up getting into a fight and my dad yelled that my mom was "just a bitch who kept taking all his money" to paraphrase. She took off in her car and I remember calling her and crying that she had left me there with him, and begging her to come back. When she drove back, I ran outside and couldn't see her and I asked my grandmother where she went while my grandfather was talking to my dad.

I'll always remember this moment because it felt like a movie which sounds so stupid but I've always thought of it that way, even in the moment when it was happening. I think it was because it just didn't feel like my life, I couldn't believe it was actually happening. My mom ended up being on the shore of the lake of our campground crying, the sun was setting while it was starting to rain outside. I remember the pain in her voice as she cried asking why my father always did this to her, I wish I had an answer to that.

My mother's always been an amazing person. I might be biased but, she's the kind of person where she literally pays for strangers food in lines, gives money to people who need it all the time, donates to charity. And she was never using my father for money like he always said she was. She had a job when we first moved out of my grandparent's house, but he told her to quit because he landed a really huge job in my town.

Anyway back to that time though, I remember walking her back to our camper, and telling my parents to figure things out. I was 14, telling my parents to figure out their issues, trying to act mature. Within that month of this happening, we ended up going to stay at my grandparent's house across the country. Which took us 5 days of driving because we had all of our stuff and our big dogs with us still. Eventually the wildfire got under control and we were allowed to go back home.

Later this same year in 2016, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I remember not even processing it well at all, I didn't deal with my emotions in a healthy way. Unfortunately one of my dogs in 2016 also developed cancer, and he rapidly declined. I never got to say goodbye to him. I was raised with that dog, he was my best friend.

After my mom had cancer and my dog passed away, combined with everything that happened during the fire, I started to give up on school. And life in general honestly. Before the fire, I remember how well I was doing, I was acing tests, I even took extra math classes just because I wanted to. Most of the other kids in my extra math class were forced into it because they had bad grades, but I was doing it because I wanted to lol. But after the fire, I didn't even try in 9th grade.

During this time when I was dealing with massive depression and anxiety. My father never took it seriously, he would force me to do stuff I didn’t wanna do because he said it would ā€œcheer me upā€. When I just wanted to lay in bed all day and cry. He was the kind of guy who doesn’t ā€œbelieve in mental illnessā€.

Anyway after all this, we land in 2020. This was a half a year after I had already dropped out of school at this point. The world was in a super scary place as all of you know. My parents had been getting along so I thought, it made me happy when we all were staying in the house together and getting along. I did try getting a job towards the end of the year, but I felt so anxious and dreaded the idea of even going back, that I worked one day and quit. And felt like a total failure.

But fast forward just a couple more years into the future. 2023. That's when all the years of my dad constantly cheating on my mom just finally culminated I guess. One day out of the blue he just sat me down and told me he was going to our camper for a couple days cause he "needed some time to himself". My dad came home a couple days later, and sat both of us down and said he was probably gonna divorce my mom.

She was distraught. Despite everything he had done to her throughout their entire marriage, she still loved him. I don't know how. At this point throughout the last few years, I wasn't close with my dad at all naturally. I resented him quietly for everything he had done, and that was just the stuff I knew about. And I just wanna mention, he did all this a couple months after we just found out my other dog had developed cancer too. And he only had a few months left to live. We found this out in January and my dad did all this sometime in May.

We came to find out later that when he was having his "alone time", he was actually just spending it with yet another girl, in our family camper. We only found this out because that woman's husband messaged my mom on Facebook and told her what he discovered. Now that this was found out, and he already said he was gonna divorce her anyway, mom had had enough. My Uncle's girlfriend works for a lawyer, and we reached out to her and my mom filed the divorce papers and served him.

My Uncle's girlfriend ended up finding us a lawyer in town, and the divorce was officially sent through the court rather quickly. Granting us the right to stay in my childhood home without letting him have access anymore, and setting up spousal support payments. My dad lawyered up and tried to fight the spousal payments. But a judge took one look at his literal over $300,000+ salary and dismissed his attempt to get the amount lowered.

Time went by and me and my mom slowly adjusted to a new life. Things weren't so bad. My other dog lived until August.

Two years later in 2025, my dad wasn't done yet apparently. He had texted me one night and told me that I now had a "beautiful baby sister" that was going to be born in a few months and if I ever wanted to meet her, I could. I almost threw up at this message, because I had always wanted a sibling when I was younger, I would say it to my parents all the time. But having one in this way was just something I would never be able to accept.

At this point in time he had also stopped paying the mortgage for the house for a long time. My mom managed to get the payments transferred to her bank account because of the court order that gave us possession of the house. But now dad got a new lawyer after firing his last one, and was forcing us to sell my childhood home. There wasn't really much we could do to fight back against that, he was the one paying spousal support and we couldn't afford to keep paying for such an expensive mortgage anyway. So we said goodbye to that place and found a decent apartment.

In between this time, he also stopped paying most of the spousal support. He was only paying a fraction of what he was legally court ordered to pay. So while we were moving, my mom took out a small loan because we didn't really have any other options. Unfortunately that loan has been turned into an impossible debt in present times but we had no other choice back when this happened. We also needed the money to pay all the bills my father left us.

Just before he did all of this to my mom, he had her get a new truck for him in his name. And after he ended up leaving, he took the truck with him for a time. All while my mom still had to pay for it because it was in her name. (We still haven't managed to sell it to this day because there's way too much owed on it, and he drove it across the country twice to visit his parents. It was a brand new truck. So now it has way too many miles on it to sell for the price it was bought at back to the dealership.)

While this was all going on, is also when my father decided to text me and tell me that he only had a few months left to live, and that he needed to talk to me. I texted him back but he didn't respond. And the next day he said "nothing was wrong, i just wanted to see if you'd talk to me". Oh and did I mention my grandparents reaction to all of this? My father's parents, who had known my mother for over 20 years. Just decided to fully cut her off.

My dad later on had a second kid. Trying again to file to get spousal support payments lowered because he claimed he "was demoted and no longer made as much money". We know this is a lie because he continues to post about all the new things he's buying, He brought it before a judge, they took a look at his income statements, and denied him yet again because he could clearly afford it. The spousal payments were put through a program that's entire purpose is to enforce payments like this, so he started paying again for a time.

And now we're all caught up to this year, 2026. We had finally gotten used to a new life, things were going well. New apartment, we got some new furniture, were managing to pay off bills. And then suddenly a few months ago, my dad just fully stopped paying spousal support. We had some savings, so we figured we would just hold out until the program started collecting money from him again since he's legally still required to pay it.

The divorce is still not finalized. Because my father refuses to sign half of his pension over to my mother (which again he is legally required to do.) Among other things, he also tried to get my mom in trouble because we had to sell the furniture in the house in order to help us move out of it and get into the new apartment. He claimed it was an unequal division of family property. Which while it is true, we were only in that position because he was paying a fraction of the spousal support he was supposed to. A judge took one look at that and yet again, dismissed it. That was at the start of this year, which is why we believe he stopped the payments all together a few months later. Out of retaliation because he wasn't getting his way.

So we slowly burned through the savings we had. Months went by, and this program still hadn't managed to collect any more money from my father. For the last 3 months we've been borrowing money from family, just waiting and waiting for this program still. If you're wondering why my mother and I never ended up getting a job in all this time, we both are dealing with severe mental health issues.

Throughout these last few months, my mother has told me she has considered something drastic, she even ended up going to the ER (she didn't do anything, but wanted help with those thoughts) and calling a suicide hotline. We talked it through and we decided that we don't want my father to win like this. He doesn't deserve to ruin our lives and then continue on living a normal happy life as if we never existed. We will fight as hard as we can because we deserve to live a happy life to.

My mother also has had health complications for years since she had cancer, mobility issues and nerve damage. So she wasn't supposed to be working. And as for me, the same depression and severe anxiety I've had since 2016 has never gone away. I tried to get jobs in the past, but this overwhelming debilitating anxiety prevented me from going back, I just couldn't handle it.

I realize that I took advantage of my rather cushy life, my dad had a great job. And he would use money and gifts to "make up" for everything he had done, and I just accepted it. I was never forced to get a job, and I fell into complacency because of that combined with just generally being autistic, I feel like I never learned the normal life skills most 24 year old adults have.

Last month, my mom against her doctors wishes, was forced to get a job. We could only borrow so much money from family, they can't support us and all our bills, and themselves too. And this month, I also worked up the courage and effort. And managed to land two jobs. It's been extremely difficult for me, but we have no other options and I wont sit around and let my mother bare this burden by herself while I'm a fully grown adult, even with my hardships.

I have extreme anxiety about having to interact with the public and other coworkers, but luckily both of my jobs are full of extremely nice people. I'm trying my best to overcome all of my mental health issues and work through them. I'm trying my best to stay positive about it, but with the 3 part time jobs in total, we'll be able to just barely afford rent. It all feels so pointless, doing all of this work, and trying so hard to overcome my anxiety and for what. Just so we still can't afford rent anyway?

I just started one job a week ago, and my first real shift at my second isn't until November. I only get paid a fraction of what we need for this month, and the month ends in two weeks. Still waiting on this program to collect money from my dad. Still waiting to hear back from a local program who helps pay rent in our community. Still waiting to hear back from government income support.

And my mom's side of the family (the only family we have left) keeps telling me and my mom that they might not be able to support us anymore as they're running out of money too. And my dad by the way, filed yet again to try and get the spousal support lowered. Claiming that he quit his job and doesn't make as much anymore, but some old friends of my dad who still work at his job. Can clearly see him on the schedule that he's been on parental leave since the start of the year.

I won’t let me father continue to ruin my life. No matter what happens, I’m gonna keep trying my best to live a good life. There’s always a way to make things right and I’ll find it.

So yeah, I know this is a long ass post and I wrote all of this out just for a few people to end up seeing it. But I somehow feel better after letting all of this out. I don't know what's going to happen at the end of this month. But I'm still gonna keep doing all I can, and hope that something finally pulls through for us. I just wanted to get my story out there somewhere. If you read this all the way through, thanks for listening to my life. I wish you the best.

Advice Needed AITAH if I tell a friend my ex is sleeping with his wife? Please help!

WIBTAH 911 please help me!

I never thought I would be writing somewhere to get advice but I don’t know what to do.
I started dating Matt in 2017 and everything was great. In 2020 my mom passed away and I fell into a deep depression. I ended up moving in with my boyfriend and his family in 2021 . Matt would try his best to get me out of bed to hang out with friends and get me out the house, but it was hard . My mom was my world and life didn’t seem worth living without her.
Once I started coming out of my depression I started to notice things with Matt. Mainly one thing . He would always go hang out with his buddy Kevin and his wife Dee. After awhile I noticed he would go hang out over at their house when Kevin wasn’t home. I would call Matt while I was at work and he would be off only to find out he was hanging out with Dee and Yes Kevin was at work too! I’ve always thought there was something going on between these two and have only said something to my cousin I’m very close with.
Of course I confront him about it. To which he denied stating he would never do something like that to me or Kevin. Matt has known Kevin for over 20 years and are great friends. Matt and I have broke up and I moved out in January of 2024 and moved in with my sister. Matt and I stayed somewhat friends. We would talk on occasion but never an everyday thing. At the end of 2024 I started dating my current boyfriend and we moved in together in May of 2025. Anyways fast forward to last week. My ex called.
I was a little surprised but not to much because again we still somewhat talked and it was a FaceTime call with Kevin and Dee’s daughter. I talked to her for a minute and he then got on the phone telling me he was going with them to put their cat down. I had lost my dog a few years prior so I understood that feeling. I offered my condolences and hung up the phone. I went to sleep that night and it bothered me. It bothered me so much the next morning I rolled over and FaceTimed him. Hello he said. And I blurted out why did you call me yesterday?
He said because the little girl wanted to talk to someone on FaceTime so I called you. I said you could have called anyone. Your sister or especially your mother. She loves their daughter. I asked how did Kevin handle the cat being put down? Matt said that Kevin didn’t go. It was Dee, her daughters and her sister. I said well what did Kevin have to say with you playing boyfriend to his wife? He said Kevin told him he didn’t want to be friends with him anymore when his wife handed him divorce papers while she’s standing next to Matt! I said well yeah I wouldn’t want to be friends with you either because why are they having that conversation with you there?
She needed the protection from her husband so she had her boyfriend there? He said it’s not like that. I told him so you’re telling me you’re not sleeping with her. He said slept! Sleeping is implying that it’s currently going on and it happened on a drunken night 2 weeks ago. I started screaming i knew it! And I started crying I told him I wasn’t crying because I cared for him . I was crying for the depressed girl that accused you of cheating years ago and you would gaslight her into thinking she was crazy. I’m crying for Matt.
The best friend you’ve had for all these years and you’re sleeping with his wife!! All the years we all hung out and now so many little details stick out that shows me they were grooming each other. I finished our conversation with I thank you for everything your family did for me, but I don’t ever want to see or talk you or Dee ever again.
I’ve blocked them on everything! Just 2 days ago Kevin posted a photo of him with his family at the Halloween parade my county has every year and he’s all smiles next to his wife!! I don’t believe he knows about Dee and Matt and I don’t know if I should say something or not. I’m truly torn. If your spouse was cheating on you, would you want someone to tell you? Would I be the asswhole?

Advice Needed AIO when my boyfriend invited me to go to a cosplayer's Asian tour?

My 35 M boyfriend really likes this certain pornstar, Sweetie Fox, who is also a cosplayer. I, 32 F, was actually the one who introduced her to him. I've known she was a pornstar, but I really liked her for being a visual artist. She draws cool anime-like illustrations. And yes, she's also a cosplayer. Since introducing her to my boyfriend, she had been his favorite. I don't mind it that much because I know the likelihood of them meeting in person is far from reality so I just let him fantasize about her. Although there are circumstances when I would feel a bit insecure whenever he so comfortably opens up about how she's really hot and cute at the same time. That she has a banging body with a face of an angel. Granted that I am in no way close to how Sweetie Fox's body look like, he never really gave me any compliment about my physical appearance, although he was always appreciative of me in other aspects. He messaged me out of the blue this afternoon asking if I wish to come with him to see Sweetie Fox on her next Asian tour. I answered coldly with a "no." To me, it feels like he's asking me to spend money to go to another country to watch him ogle at another woman. I may let him indulge about his appreciation for Sweetie at times, but I just feel like he's too dense and can be really insensitive sometimes. Am I overreacting?

Advice Needed Has anyone ever contacted their ex and had it go well?

I don’t want to get back together with him. It has been nearly a decade of no contact, and we have both moved on with our lives. We met in a cult.

To make a long story short, two young vulnerable people joined a self help group. We had both been in the group for several years. There were arranged relationships, which we participated in. We dated for a year and a half while in the cult.

It went south when he suddenly left. He ended things with me, quit his job, and moved away. Not only was I devastated, but the group hierarchy proceeded to blame me for him leaving. I was not allowed to contact him moving forward.

I left the cult four years ago. I spent years telling myself he was just the crappy boyfriend I had when I was nineteen. Now, I’ve been in therapy and I’m working through some PTSD issues from this period of time.

My therapist has suggested reaching out to my ex to get some closure. We were abused together by a high-control group led by two narcissists. She thinks it might be worth reaching out to talk about some things that happened. I don’t even know where I would begin.

Is this a good idea? I trust my therapist, she is awesome and has helped me heal from a lot of painful experiences in my life. I’ve spoken with and have had many healing conversations with other people I was in the group with. But for some reason, I’m balking at this.

Has anyone had a remotely similar experience of reaching out to an ex that you went through something with? Was it a healthy and productive conversation, or a waste of time?

Again, I have no interest in getting back together with him or being involved romantically at all. I am happily married (honestly!) and my husband is super supportive of my big ole healing journey lol.

Thanks, long time listener and first time poster. This is a throwaway account, but I’m a fan of the show. I need some objective advice from online strangers.

Edit: spelling errors

Advice Needed My Dad skipped my wedding last month and I’m not sure how to forgive him

Essentially, my (36F)Ā  father (68M) decided not to come to my wedding last month so that he could avoid having to see my mother. I’ll try to keep this to the point, even though there is a lot of context that I feel could be useful. My mother left my father 15 years ago. My father has never gotten over this and has chosen to allow his bitterness and resentment to more or less ruin his life. He’s finally in (what I would consider to be) a semi-healthy and happy position, which was a great relief when my fiance and I began wedding planning. I have stressed over the logistics of the concept of my wedding for years, just knowing that would require my parents to be in the same room together.

Within the last 6 months or so, my father and I started butting heads. I felt like he wasn’t putting any effort into our relationship, so I (very gently) asked for him to try a little bit harder. He absolutely exploded at me when I did this, calling me a bunch of names and insulting my maturity level as we spoke over the phone. I ended up cursing him out and hung up because frankly, I was not expecting that. Our relationship was, understandably, strained following this incident. Honestly, I was so angry that I considered uninviting him from the wedding in that moment but I decided to let it go and move on. I wish I could say I was taking the high road, but it was mostly because I became suspicious that maybe he was lashing out in an effort to get himself kicked off the guest list so that he could avoid seeing my mom and have it technically not be his fault?

A few weeks after that blow out, I called him to discuss wedding day logistics. At some point, he cut me off to say that AT MOST he would arrive right at the beginning of the ceremony, walk me down the aisle, and then leave immediately after. I told him that was unacceptable and asked him to, for once in his life, put me and my feelings ahead of his own, as I felt that was only fair on my LITERAL WEDDING DAY. He said he’d think about it and hung up.

After hearing absolutely nothing for almost a week, I sent him an ultimatum (ill-advised, I know, but I needed an answer, I couldn’t continue to spiral over the unknown): attend my wedding like a normal person, play nice for a few hours (at least to take part in the father daughter dance and maybe hear some speeches?) or don’t come at all. The thought of him showing up at the last second, white-knuckling his way through the ceremony and then disappearing right after was way more painful to me than the thought of him not coming at all and, frankly, felt a hell of a lot more dramatic.

He chose option B. He sent me a text, where he made some strange, unprovoked comments about not wanting to cause a scene and get in a fight with my mom’s husband (which was honestly a major concern of mine); he worded everything in such a way to make himself out as the victim and that he was doing us all a favour by stepping back. My dad’s signature move is to play the martyr and let me tell you, he did not disappoint. I haven’t spoken to him since. He did not say anything on my wedding day and has only sent me a half assed text a few weeks ago telling me that he ā€˜did what was best for me’ and that I ā€˜don’t know how hard it was for him not to be there’ and to ā€˜take whatever time I need before talking to him again’. Thanks for the permission.

Anyhoo, I guess I’m just wondering if anyone has been through something similar and has any insight? How do you forgive your father for choosing to miss such an important moment in your life? Unfortunately, talking to him about my feelings isn’t really an option, as it’s much akin to talking to a brick wall. He’s a British Boomer (apologies to any UK readers), so self reflection doesn’t exactly come naturally to him, nor does the concept of admitting fault. He’s not once attempted to apologize to me and only seems capable of blaming my mother or myself for his behaviour. I fear this is just going to end with me having to swallow my feelings and pretend everything is fine, but it just seems so unfair that that is how every single one of our disputes seems to end. He’s not a bad father but he’s definitely not a good one either; I hate how guilty I feel for ā€˜punishing’ him with silence. I’m just not sure where to go from here.. And after missing his birthday yesterday, I thought maybe I could use some outside perspective. Thank you for reading and for any input you may have!!Ā

Advice Needed My ex’s wife asked me to make a written statement to the DA about the abuse that I experienced over 7 years ago. WIBTA if I say no?

OK, bear with me. This may be a little bit too long. Also TW?

Some backstory, I was with my ex fiancĆ© (David) for 3 1/2 years. We officially broke up in May 2019 when I was 27 and he was 34. The relationship was really toxic and emotionally abusive. He had very severe trust issues and insecurities. I tried to be understanding and I hoped that it would get better overtime. It just got worse. I had to take photos anytime I was out of the house to prove where I was and who I was with. He would flip out if I missed a call. He put cameras around the house to watch when I would leave. He would pop up at my job or even the grocery store to make sure I was ā€œreally there.ā€ He controlled what I wore and told me I was a trying to get attention if I wore make up or a cute dress. If I complained he would call me names and belittle me for hours until I broke down. I look back now and realize I was very passive and I didn’t fight him because I couldn’t take it and I was genuinely afraid of him. I eventually stopped seeing my family and friends, stopped taking care of myself, stopped trying to be happy. I was so ashamed, I didn’t want anyone to know. I just let it happen. I only tried to tell his family once, but they just brushed me off, so I kept quiet.
After he proposed, his controlling and abusive behavior got to be too much and I knew I needed to leave and end the relationship. But once he knew I wanted to leave, he started escalating. When I brought up breaking up, he would tell me that he would kill me or he would shoot me or he’d threaten to kill himself. He took his gun out of the lock box and put it on the bedside table and told me if I try to sneak out while he was asleep ā€œyou know what will happenā€. One time I tried to get past him when he blocked the door and he threw me into the wall. When I threatened to call the police, he said that he would hurt himself and tell the police that I attacked him first. He even said that they would probably arrest me instead of him because I’m black and he’s white, so who are they going to believe.

I eventually came to the conclusion that the only way for me to safely leave was to make him think that it was his idea. It took months of planning and manipulation on my part so he would eventually just let me go. I secretly found a place and started slowly moving my things out. Then when I could get movers I unplugged the cameras while he was at work and left. He never knew where I went.

I blocked David on social media but I was still following his sister. Six months after we broke up, his sister made a post congratulating her brother and her new sister in law saying she was excited to meet her new niece or nephew. So, I guess within 6 months of our break up he met someone else, let’s call her Sydney, and they were engaged and she was pregnant with their first child. At the time, I did think about warning her, but I realized she was already pregnant and she probably wouldn’t believe me. I also had no proof.

Sydney first reached out in 2023 because David had started to become physically abusive to the extent of leaving bruises. This was happening in front of their two children. When she tried to tell his family, they didn’t believe her because he was ā€œperfectly fine in his last relationship.ā€ They used our ā€œhappy relationshipā€œ to prove that David wasn’t controlling or abusive and that SHE was the problem. She asked if that was true, and I told her no. I just never told anyone and I was too afraid to fight back or trigger him. At the time, all Sydney wanted was validation that it was not all her, like David and his family were claiming. That it was actually a pattern of behavior that was escalating. She said David and his family were making her feel crazy and she felt stuck and confused. I reassured her, but I eventually told her that I didn’t want to continue communication because reliving the trauma was too much. She said she understood and wished me the best.

She just reached out again last week, saying that she needed to talk to me and that it was urgent. I called her back and she explained that she had decided to stay with him after our conversation a few years ago. She had hoped that he would try to do better for the sake of their children and they could make it work. But the abuse continued. They recently split up again and were trying to coparent.
She said that last week she came to pick up her kids from his house and after arguing about feeding the kids, he hit her in the back. That’s when she decided she had enough. She called the police and he was arrested for a misdemeanor. His mom , Brenda, bailed him out the same day.
Sydney then went to file a restraining order against him and provided videos and photos of some of the incidents that occurred in the past.
The DA called her and said that they were granting the restraining order as well as charging him with 3 counts of battery, felony assault, etc. They put out a warrant for his arrest and he was facing some serious jail time.
She said the reason she was calling me was because after his arrest last week, Brenda called Sydney and threatened her. She said she will tell the court that Sydney was actually the abusive one and that David was only defending himself. Brenda said she would use all the tools at her disposal including his cousin in the police force and his father who is a multimillionaire. Brenda also threatened to take the children from her by filing cps claims and taking her to court for custody. Sydney is terrified of losing her children.
The thing is, Brenda has done this before and actually won. She has was able to get full custody of David’s two nieces back when we were still together, because she did exactly what she’s threatening Sydney with. David’s brother Jared was an alcoholic and physically abusive, so Brenda told the court that the home and both the parents were unstable and that she should have the children. The court granted her custody of the kids, and she refused to let their mother see them, but would allow Jared to stop by anytime he wanted.
If Brenda goes through with her threats, Sydney asked me to provide a written statement to DA to prove that this is a pattern of abusive behavior from David. She said she doesn’t have any family to help her and she’s fighting this all alone. I want to help her, but I really don’t want to get involved with the court system. I don’t want to have to testify against my ex who I haven’t spoken to in over seven years. Plus, I don’t have any proof of what happened. I deleted all of our messages, I don’t have photos of the bruises, and I didn’t tell any of my family or friends until after I left.
Would a statement from me really even do anything? Would I be the A hole if I choose not to get involved, and I don’t write the statement to the DA? What should I do?

Mini Update:

Thank you to everyone who commented and gave advice. Many of you were right. My biggest concern was for the safety of myself and my family. I obviously came here for guidance and perspective because it’s been weighing on me. My husband is aware of the abuse I experienced and he’s been very supportive throughout the years while I worked through it in therapy, but he’s very much against me getting involved. Now that we have a family, he’s afraid that if I make a statement, David will find us and retaliate. And considering the nature of the threats he’s made in the past, it could be deadly, especially if he feels like he has nothing left to lose. Of course I want to protect Sydney and her children, but not at the expense of my own.

Now for a quick update on David:
I called Sydney back this evening. David was arrested yesterday and he’s been booked into county jail. He was arraigned today. They raided his home and noticed a few of his Registered weapons were unaccounted for, so he was denied bail. His dad showed up to the hearing and said he had the weapons at one of his houses a few hours away. I don’t know if this is true, but They told him he has until Friday to relinquish all of David’s firearms. If he turns them in, then bail will be set for $550k. His dad has the money to bail him out, but I’m not sure if he’ll do it. They think he’s going to take a plea deal because of the severity of some of the charges, but he’s still working on his defense.

As for Sydney, they granted the protective order for both her and the kids. I think it’s for 3 years. But they still have to go to family court for custody regarding the child endangerment? The DA said that they would like a statement from me to help keep the protective order in place. I told her I would be open to speaking with the DA but I did express my concerns regarding safety and asked if my statement could be anonymous. She couldn’t tell me if they would allow that, but said that the DA would assist with a restraining order for myself if I give a statement. They may call me tomorrow or Friday.

When my husband got home from work I told him that I spoke with Sydney and I agreed to speak with the DA. Now he’s really upset with me. He says I’m potentially endangering our family and destroying our peace for a situation I escaped from 7 years ago. I just feel terrible either way, like saving their family may harm my own. But I’m trying to do the right thing. I’ll know more after my call this week. Wish me luck

Advice Needed WIBTAH if I reported my boss who’s also my uncle to hr?

Me and my uncle work at the same business. He’s worked there a lot longer than I have and he’s one of the higher ups within the company. A little background of me, I’m trans, I’ve been out since high school and mostly everyone in my life accepts me and respects my new identity. My uncle isn’t one of those people. He votes differently than I do and is very Christian and he doesn’t believe in being trans or gay or any of that. I’m not ashamed of being trans but I also don’t like to make it my whole personality and it’s not something I share with just anyone.

So down to the point, the other day at work a coworker of mine had out of nowhere asked if I go by he/him pronouns. I thought this was weird cause over the 2 years or so that we’ve worked together he’s never asked me this and has referred to me by he/him pronouns. But I answered him and said yes and then he added that my uncle had shared to him that I was trans and wasn’t cis. He said he thought that was crazy cause he would’ve never guessed and said something along the lines of that ā€œI pass really wellā€ and that he never would’ve known unless my uncle had said something.

What my coworker said is a problem in itself but I was completely shocked. I purposely don’t share me being trans. Especially at work where there are a lot of people who believe in the same things my uncle believes and I wouldn’t feel safe at all giving that information out.

So now I’m wondering if I should report this to hr. I don’t know if my uncle has told anyone else. Luckily the coworker I mentioned is very accepting and our ideals align and I already knew out of everyone he’d be chill but I can’t be sure that’s the only person he told. I don’t know if this was malicious or if it just came out in conversation but either way it crosses a boundary and is unprofessional coming from my boss. So WIBTAH for reporting my uncle to hr?

Listener Write In Men are scary or is it just me at this point?

This is my first post so please be kind, i was not sure where post this, but ultimately i decided on this sub. I always listen to the pod and you guys always give great advice.

So, its spooky season, but i dont mean it the fun way. I have encountered many weird male ones before, had some issues with people forcing themselves onto me. I might be going crazy, im just so over being scared of someone who is just probably being nice to me.

Im travelling rn, writing this while on the train, its not even 5 in the morning and a random, questionable looking man walks by, when he comes back he has two beers with him (both alcohol free) and puts one on my desk while im talking to my literal boyfriend on ft. I was shocked so coulndt say anything and immediately after another guy came to check my ticket and he was weird af as well. He asked me if he should open it for me, like no thanks? He leaves and comes back from the door to say: ā€for that smile i would bring a bottle of whiskeyā€-and leaves again.

Not even a minute later, guess who is back? this fucking dude is walking up to me notices that im talking on the phone so proceeds to sit down in the seats beside me and streches out like this is the most normal thing ever.

These two have been walking up and down in the aisle next to me, like dont you have work or a seat somewhere else?

I really wanted to get some sleep, bc its a long way there, but now my bf is on call with me and i cant even move from my seat without being anxious that they are ā€œwatching meā€. My bf said that this is a bit sus and he wont ever let me travel alone. So now im sitting here tired af and wondering:

Am i being an asshole for not trusting in a kind a gesture or are men this creepy?
