Factory Optimization New SatisfactoryTools released!
IT'S FINALLY HERE!
After years of waiting, and tons of work, debugging, changing everything, I've finally reached the stage where I'm ready to share the new Tools that many people have eagerly been waiting for.
https://www.satisfactorytools.com/

Features
This list could be so long, but I'll just point out a few big features that you might like:
- Support for any game version, different nodes, purities, recipe and power cost multipliers, etc.
- Fully automatic calculation, including power, overclocking, sloops, sink points
- But also, fully manual calculation, if you choose to do so - everything can be edited, nodes can be added by hand, connected by dragging resources from one to another, etc.
- Subplans! Convert a few existing nodes into a subplan, you can use them to represent blueprints, factories, outposts, whatever you want. You can even have subplans in subplans!
- Folders for plans - organise all your production into folders, you can have plans in a folder share settings, or even share raw resources, all plans taking from single pool of raw resources
- Marking nodes as done - as simple as selecting and pressing enter, a checkmark appears and you'll see that you have already built those machines
- User accounts - make an account to have all your plans and settings shared to the account. Single click is enough - you can login through Steam, Google, Discord or Github. Email/password combination is also available if you're that type of person. No more worrying about losing data when cleaning browser cookies
- Loading data from save - you can load your settings from your save, and have it automatically set all recipes and machines
- Panels - tons of panels to move around, or even undock and have free-floating windows. Programmers will see tons of similarities with IDEs, that's intentional
- Desktop app - fully offline-capable app you can install on your device, plan offline, data is synced to account when you go online (if you're logged in)
- Phone support - now possible to plan on phone and touch devices, UI fully accessible on those devices (as much as I could manage on those small screens)
- Customisation - fully customisable settings for almost anything you can imagine. Just check the settings in top right corner and see what you can set.
- Mod support - kinda experimental functionality, but in the future I hope to add modded recipes for popular mods - do you have a mod you want to add? Ask for it in Discord server!
Screenshots
Images can tell more than words, so here's a few screenshots of things you may find interesting

Closing words
I hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoy working on it.
Old tools remain accessible at https://www.satisfactorytools.com/old/1.0/, but they will be there only for a little longer (I'm guessing around a month), before I retire them. Plans can be migrated automatically in new Tools.
Please do give feedback if you find something broken or if you like the tool. Join the Discord server for more info and a great community!
Special thanks to all the beta testers who provided feedback and made the tool to be what it is now. And I hope in the future it'll be even better!
The tool is fully free, and will never run any ads. If it saves you time, and you want to give something back, consider donating. Donations help me cover server costs and development time.
Stay efficient, and enjoy!

They have been in charge of this whole setup and are the true MVPs of this very first community challenge.
You can also check out the Reddit thread for this if you want to send them some extra love.
When MOOD started working on the Board Game and we started collaborating with them, they made it clear from the beginning that they wanted to shape the game with the actual Satisfactory community in mind...

And as you can see here, these might be familiar faces to you and it’s because they are some of our amazing community content creators:
They were invited to visit the MOOD Publishing studio to get an early look at the board game!
We’re very glad they got this opportunity as we know they are very dedicated Satisfactory enthusiasts who can definitely give some good insight on how the board game can be a Satisfactory experience

During their visit, they were able to play through the game, building factories amidst banter and chaos unfolding as you would expect, minus the conveyor belt spaghetti

MOOD mentioned it was interesting to see how people who know Satisfactory so well approach something like this and they were really happy they got them all to be among the first to try it and they will take their feedback into consideration to shape things

What they got to play was the first manufactured sample of the preview

But of course, it has been a long process MOOD to get here, below you can see some pretty creative uses of cardboard in the early prototype versions!

Before the artwork started coming together and a lot of polish came in, there were plenty of paper pieces, rough ideas and placeholders in shapes you wouldn’t expect, as you can see here, Valheim standees were the first placeholders for the creatures

MOOD has changed things a lot since those early prototypes, different mechanics have been tested, changed, scrapped and reworked to figure out how to capture what makes Satisfactory work as a tabletop game. Just like optimizing your factory in the game, getting everything to work well takes a few iterations.

We wanted to share these behind-the-scenes images of the prototype version so you can also appreciate how far along the board game has come since, which you can compare with the trailer at the start of this post
And now that the campaign is out on Gamefound, You can click here to visit and support the game
We wish the best to our friends at MOOD with the campaign and we can’t wait to play this more ourselves.
Oh yeah and if you made it this far down the post you can also check out our latest video where we talk about the board game and other random stuff like extra details on the Core Values DLC Expansion we announced the other day hehe
That’s everything for today so see you all again soon <3

Showcase OMV Gas Station
Greetings Pioneers!
Today I want to show you one of the earliest buildings of my world, where I began to experiment with signs. I made this Austrian gas station about two years ago and its only purpose is to refuel the trucks in this area.
This district is still largely unfinished and my building skills have developed since, but it's always cool to see this gas station and I want to keep it just as it is.
Note:
Last screenshot shows how i used to experiment with unicode symbols back then to make signs.
Nowadays i use u/_nova_tech_'s Satisfactory Symbol DB for creating signs.
No mods used :)
Triggerwarning: Prices are in Euro and from 2021.

Screenshot I'm very new to the game. I'm assuming these bouncy goobers are always going to be a problem?
Ah, it can hang around :)

Board Game Blueprint Challenge FICSIT Screws is fully operational
My submission for the board game screw factory! PC category. FICSIT Screws is anchored under the stone arch in the Grassy Fields. Only the space between the arches is my submission area, but it felt wrong leaving the resource logistics ugly.
It produces 480 Screws using 4x Cast Screw constructors.
Ore is processed in smelters set into the anchors on the left and right side.
Product is stored in a buffer and DD under the main walkway.
Lightly modded but all pieces are vanilla.

Showcase I moved my screw factory to my main factory area
I think it fits better there :D
There are some WIP things like usual

Screenshot was messing with hypertubes and sent myself to space. noticed theres a gigantic portal to hell way outside the map. was coffee stain originally planning something there?

Had to reproduce one of my favorite local gas stations!
They have the best iced tea!

Screenshot Compact Hypertube Cannon
Was looking for a standard cannon design which didn't require a variable footprint for different distances. The vertical version seems less efficient than horizonal but what's a few extra launchers.

I activated the flight mod to take a tour of my factory

Modular Road Design
I want to eventually blueprint an entire road network so I've been brainstorming designs. I build with white concrete a lot because it looks clean and clips together well, so I went with a darker theme today. Kinda has some spooky Halloween vibes.

Board Game Blueprint Challenge Some GIFs of FICSIT Screws: my board game screw factory submission
I totally didn't know I could do images and GIFs in one post, otherwise I would have only made the one lol. Anyway here's more of FICSIT Screws. This is my submission for the board game blueprint challenge. PC category.
It produces 480 Screws using 4x Cast Screw constructors.
Ore is processed in smelters set into the anchors on the left and right side.
Product is stored in a buffer and DD under the main walkway.
Lightly modded but all pieces are vanilla.

This screw factory will produce its first batch of screws in 23.5 billion years. (the age of the Universe is 13.4 billion years.)
It uses one 1% power Constructor and 32 Splitters to slow down the item flow. This can also be done with 37 Constructors running at 100% power

Board Game Blueprint Challenge FICSIT'S Finest - Starter Screw Blueprint
I wanted something that looked clean but could be made as a simple early game starter screw factory.
Impure node, 30/min in, 120/min out.
PC, vanilla, creative clean save.

Oops
At least it's a simple design and pretty easy to move the top part up a few meters and widen the road a bit

My first (organized) coal power plant
8x8 rising platforms, I need to go back through and make it a bit more pretty

Board Game Blueprint Challenge FICSIT's finest - Screw it Factories™ screw factory

Modular Road/Rail
Designing more roads and rails until I find one I like enough to make a whole set of blueprints for. Today I went for a design that looks clean, isn't too crazy on resources, and all of the edges end in parts like beams and pillars that will be easy to attach other blueprints to.

Why are the fluid consumption numbers so high, but per min rate much lower?

Help using signals for the following train layout
Signals are the bane of my existence and I just can't figure them out despite the videos and guides I find online.
I have a train layout like the one below where I want to two trains running simultaneously. One trains going from left station, to the bottom and back. The other going from the right station, to the bottom and back.
I'd really appreciate anyone that can help me make heads and tails of this and any other suggestions they might have.

Board Game Blueprint Challenge Your First Factory
This monstrosity is exactly one thing: simplicity.
Whose first factory with floors rather than sprawl wasn't just a few levels of foundations you had to take a ramp up to the next level? What's an Awesome Sink? Ladders? Catwalks? You did just unlock tractors though, and are playing around with those. In fact, they're in the basement of this to take screws to other factories so you don't have to. That's pretty cool.
Fancy? No. But this setup is the first 15 hours of simplicity starting to find out what it is to make a satisfactory factory in Satisfactory.
