Factory Optimization New SatisfactoryTools released!

IT'S FINALLY HERE!

After years of waiting, and tons of work, debugging, changing everything, I've finally reached the stage where I'm ready to share the new Tools that many people have eagerly been waiting for.

https://www.satisfactorytools.com/

New look? But it can be fully customised!
Tools homepage

Features

This list could be so long, but I'll just point out a few big features that you might like:

  • Support for any game version, different nodes, purities, recipe and power cost multipliers, etc.
  • Fully automatic calculation, including power, overclocking, sloops, sink points
  • But also, fully manual calculation, if you choose to do so - everything can be edited, nodes can be added by hand, connected by dragging resources from one to another, etc.
  • Subplans! Convert a few existing nodes into a subplan, you can use them to represent blueprints, factories, outposts, whatever you want. You can even have subplans in subplans!
  • Folders for plans - organise all your production into folders, you can have plans in a folder share settings, or even share raw resources, all plans taking from single pool of raw resources
  • Marking nodes as done - as simple as selecting and pressing enter, a checkmark appears and you'll see that you have already built those machines
  • User accounts - make an account to have all your plans and settings shared to the account. Single click is enough - you can login through Steam, Google, Discord or Github. Email/password combination is also available if you're that type of person. No more worrying about losing data when cleaning browser cookies
  • Loading data from save - you can load your settings from your save, and have it automatically set all recipes and machines
  • Panels - tons of panels to move around, or even undock and have free-floating windows. Programmers will see tons of similarities with IDEs, that's intentional
  • Desktop app - fully offline-capable app you can install on your device, plan offline, data is synced to account when you go online (if you're logged in)
  • Phone support - now possible to plan on phone and touch devices, UI fully accessible on those devices (as much as I could manage on those small screens)
  • Customisation - fully customisable settings for almost anything you can imagine. Just check the settings in top right corner and see what you can set.
  • Mod support - kinda experimental functionality, but in the future I hope to add modded recipes for popular mods - do you have a mod you want to add? Ask for it in Discord server!

Screenshots

Images can tell more than words, so here's a few screenshots of things you may find interesting

Tools in action, with panels undocked as windows
Creating custom version
Built-in help articles
Codex as you know it

Closing words

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I enjoy working on it.

Old tools remain accessible at https://www.satisfactorytools.com/old/1.0/, but they will be there only for a little longer (I'm guessing around a month), before I retire them. Plans can be migrated automatically in new Tools.

Please do give feedback if you find something broken or if you like the tool. Join the Discord server for more info and a great community!

Special thanks to all the beta testers who provided feedback and made the tool to be what it is now. And I hope in the future it'll be even better!

The tool is fully free, and will never run any ads. If it saves you time, and you want to give something back, consider donating. Donations help me cover server costs and development time.

Stay efficient, and enjoy!

News Satisfactory: The board game – Campaign live now!

Hi Pioneers!

The campaign for the board game version of Satisfactory is now live!

You can check it out by clicking here!

You can also watch the new trailer for it below!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5Fl4NomEQM

Right now, there’s ALSO another special community driven campaign going on until October 21st

You can participate in this contest to make the best Screw Factory in Grass Fields and get the chance to win the following:

Rewards (For each winner, 3 winners total)

  • Your build will be featured as a Blueprint card in the board game. Your name will be credited directly on the card.
  • Unique Reddit user flair for the SatisfactoryGame subreddit (Boardgame Challenge Winner)
  • You will receive a unique Coffee Cup game piece for your copy of the board game, reserved only for these three winners and custom-made by Kathy Millatt Modeling

You can read all the details about it by clicking this message

All of this wouldn't have been possible without the community, we also want to send a special thanks to -Doug, nova_tech, SpaceGameDev, and Temporal_Illusion.

They have been in charge of this whole setup and are the true MVPs of this very first community challenge.

You can also check out the Reddit thread for this if you want to send them some extra love.

When MOOD started working on the Board Game and we started collaborating with them, they made it clear from the beginning that they wanted to shape the game with the actual Satisfactory community in mind...

And as you can see here, these might be familiar faces to you and it’s because they are some of our amazing community content creators:

They were invited to visit the MOOD Publishing studio to get an early look at the board game!

We’re very glad they got this opportunity as we know they are very dedicated Satisfactory enthusiasts who can definitely give some good insight on how the board game can be a Satisfactory experience

During their visit, they were able to play through the game, building factories amidst banter and chaos unfolding as you would expect, minus the conveyor belt spaghetti

MOOD mentioned it was interesting to see how people who know Satisfactory so well approach something like this and they were really happy they got them all to be among the first to try it and they will take their feedback into consideration to shape things

What they got to play was the first manufactured sample of the preview

But of course, it has been a long process MOOD to get here, below you can see some pretty creative uses of cardboard in the early prototype versions!

Before the artwork started coming together and a lot of polish came in, there were plenty of paper pieces, rough ideas and placeholders in shapes you wouldn’t expect, as you can see here, Valheim standees were the first placeholders for the creatures

MOOD has changed things a lot since those early prototypes, different mechanics have been tested, changed, scrapped and reworked to figure out how to capture what makes Satisfactory work as a tabletop game. Just like optimizing your factory in the game, getting everything to work well takes a few iterations.

We wanted to share these behind-the-scenes images of the prototype version so you can also appreciate how far along the board game has come since, which you can compare with the trailer at the start of this post

And now that the campaign is out on Gamefound, You can click here to visit and support the game

We wish the best to our friends at MOOD with the campaign and we can’t wait to play this more ourselves.

Oh yeah and if you made it this far down the post you can also check out our latest video where we talk about the board game and other random stuff like extra details on the Core Values DLC Expansion we announced the other day hehe

https://youtu.be/XK0GHiizloI

That’s everything for today so see you all again soon <3

Board Game Blueprint Challenge FICSIT Screws is fully operational

My submission for the board game screw factory! PC category. FICSIT Screws is anchored under the stone arch in the Grassy Fields. Only the space between the arches is my submission area, but it felt wrong leaving the resource logistics ugly.

It produces 480 Screws using 4x Cast Screw constructors.

Ore is processed in smelters set into the anchors on the left and right side.

Product is stored in a buffer and DD under the main walkway.

Lightly modded but all pieces are vanilla.

Was looking for a standard cannon design which didn't require a variable footprint for different distances. The vertical version seems less efficient than horizonal but what's a few extra launchers.

Modular Road Design

I want to eventually blueprint an entire road network so I've been brainstorming designs. I build with white concrete a lot because it looks clean and clips together well, so I went with a darker theme today. Kinda has some spooky Halloween vibes.

This screw factory will produce its first batch of screws in 23.5 billion years. (the age of the Universe is 13.4 billion years.)

It uses one 1% power Constructor and 32 Splitters to slow down the item flow. This can also be done with 37 Constructors running at 100% power

I totally didn't know I could do images and GIFs in one post, otherwise I would have only made the one lol. Anyway here's more of FICSIT Screws. This is my submission for the board game blueprint challenge. PC category.

It produces 480 Screws using 4x Cast Screw constructors.

Ore is processed in smelters set into the anchors on the left and right side.

Product is stored in a buffer and DD under the main walkway.

Lightly modded but all pieces are vanilla.

Board Game Blueprint Challenge Your First Factory

Thumbnail

This monstrosity is exactly one thing: simplicity.

Whose first factory with floors rather than sprawl wasn't just a few levels of foundations you had to take a ramp up to the next level? What's an Awesome Sink? Ladders? Catwalks? You did just unlock tractors though, and are playing around with those. In fact, they're in the basement of this to take screws to other factories so you don't have to. That's pretty cool.

Fancy? No. But this setup is the first 15 hours of simplicity starting to find out what it is to make a satisfactory factory in Satisfactory.

So this is the C.A.D.D.Y a concept for a mobile screw factory although the idea is it could carry any factory on its back.

I may have gone a bit over the top with this but for a more detailed video check out the video here:

Discussion I wish there was a "No Impure" setting rather than a "More Pure"

Going from normal to mostly pure you delete the impures that just feel terrible to find which is great but it WAY over saturates the map with pure nodes. I'd also say that while average purity kinda fixes the impure issue, it takes the fun out of finding pure nodes too. I think there should've been "No Impure" so those impure get bumped to normal purity, but it keeps the same amount of Pure resources on the map.

Which should I start this new playthrough with because I want to do a randomized run, but having something like 500 pure nodes on the map seems excessive if I want to eliminate impures.

hey guys! i wanted to share with you this design for a resource well i came up with and just finished building. maybe i'll go a bit deeper on decorations but i think its good for now. ^^

also, these fluid buffers, i designed some time ago while building a fuel power plant. i used infinite nudge mod for those tilted railings and signs and some other small special placement of parts.

what do you think? anything to add? :)

Modded Content Ever wanted to fly a drone, Pioneer? Meet the FICSIT Hopper – a personal hover drone mod (WIP)

Ever wanted to fly a drone, Pioneer? I built the FICSIT Hopper together with Claude (Anthropic’s AI). It helped with everything from the Blender model and textures to the C++ flight code and the Unreal setup. It’s a personal hover drone for Satisfactory that you can build right from the start.

What it does:

  • 🚁 Arcade hover flight: WASD to move, Space/Ctrl up and down, mouse to steer. It banks into turns.
  • ⚡ Shift = boost: turbine afterburner flame with heat shimmer.
  • 🖥️ 3D cockpit HUD: live north-up minimap, speedometer and a built-in object scanner.
  • 📡 Object scanner: press T to turn it on, Q/R to cycle targets. It beeps faster the closer you get, just like the hand scanner.
  • 🧑‍✈️ Your Pioneer actually sits in the seat, hands on the controls.
  • 🎥 Camera: hold right mouse for free look, V for cockpit view.
  • 🌬️ Feels alive: light turbulence and random gusts, and it lands itself gently on its skids.
  • 🔦 Headlights on L, glowing displays, and the game’s own cargo-drone sounds.
  • 🆓 Tier 1 unlock: no fuel, no power, no grind.

It’s still work in progress and not on ficsit.app yet. Would you use it? Feedback and feature ideas are very welcome. If there’s enough interest I’ll polish it and release it.

FICSIT does not waste. FICSIT does hover, though.

Question I thought i understood headlift, but i guess not, why is this even working?

So im wrapping up a big rocket fuel plant, and im kinda running low on power until its up and running, but i went ahead and temporarily hooked a pipe of turbo fuel up to a test generator array expecting it to maybe reach the third level, but it filled the whole thing? I designed it around rocket fuel not needing headlift but how did turbo fuel make it all the way up there.

Blenders stacked 4 high feeding fuel gens stacked 6 high? I thought machine headlift didnt stack? The ones at the top are completely filled and running full tilt.

Makes me wonder if i even needed the pumps i put on the front of the blender wall?

Help Help with completing phase 2

Post image
7 Upvotes

The requirements to finish this are a little too much

i automated the framework at the cost of all my modular frame and steel bar production, ive ran out of nearby iron nodes, personally this is all too much for me to finish, i could just leave this afk or something to max out the framework then max out the plates easily but i dont want to leave this game open for like hours just to do phase 2? ive already gotten all the upgrades i need for automation?? am i doing this wrong?
