Hello,

I want to showcase good Asian food ( any region) to conference visitors from different states.

Something good, interesting, but not super pricey

Thank you in advance!

Parachute is sooooooo good. Might be top in the city for me. Ate these on the water with a crème brulee shakerato.
I got the samosa, passionfruit vanilla cube, banana pecan, and bowtie.

Looking for some good new food spots to try. I like all types of food. All types of dining, cheap or expensive, any recommendations are welcome!

New to SF, looking for the best vegetarian, vegan food you have around downtown.
Finding it a too to find good options, help a friend out :)

I’m craving the red bean buns (danpatppang) I used to eat in Korea. Does anyone have a favorite spot in SF for those?

The Japanese bakery versions I’ve tried were a little too sweet for me. I’m also not a fan of Paris Baguette. Chinese sesame balls with red bean filling would be great too.

Thanks in advance!

Arrived right at opening on a Sunday afternoon at 1130am.
We had 3 ppl.
The house made spicy sauce is SO good! I highly recommend getting it!
I got the ninniku tonkatsu ramen. The broth is SOOOO good too! Very flavorful.
The ramen was okay. Broth saved everything.
Out the door was $27 including tips and tax. The ramen alone was $19/$20?
Easy to park or I got lucky to get parking in front 🎉
I will definitely come back if I’m nearby!

the waitress was so rude … they seated us and didn't take our order for 15 min+ and then when we raised our hand to ask for water, she said she saw us and didn't even want to take our order because we were being rude by putting our hand up… I've never heard of this service before at all in any place I've encountered.
we came back to speak with her / the manager. when we talked to her about our experience, she just said we were invalid to feel the way we feel and told us to fuck off, threatening to call the police.
I will never give business to this establishment again as this was the worst restaurant service I've ever seen. I've never heard someone deal with a customer this way by cursing us out and tell us the deliberate words of "fuck you".

I am taking my first trip to San Francisco this week. I have done some research and booked reservations at The Progress, Ernest and 7adams. For Saturday night, I am still deciding between San Ho Won or Rintaro. I have a chef counter/bar reservation for each. I know they are slightly different experiences but was curious if anyone has an opinion on which one to go with. Thank you in advance.

Please best cheese danish anywhere in Bay or Sonoma? Idc what I spend.

New spot in Fillmore. Birria was by far the best. Would go back and get 3 next time!

Spicy Shrimp closed for a month and is now open again. Same staff, different Chinese name, but same English name. Decor is a little brighter, prices are a little higher, and menus are simplified, but otherwise, pretty much the same restaurant.

My brother is coming soon and he has a very specific request to eat Texas bbq. I’m looking for fall off the bone, authentic bbq! Give me your best recommendations please. No budget constraints, no neighbourhood constraints. Being able to make a reservation would be great but we are good with waiting in line if we have to

Hi All!

My name is Danny Stoller and I am the chef and founder of Petit Américain, an American French brasserie coming to SF in 2027.

We’re doing a pop up at Buddy on October 19th from 5 to 9.

We’re offering both a prix fixe experience by reservation only and our French dip plus its veggie analog for al a carte.

Message if you’d like more info, we’d love to see you there!

Danny

Hey yall, I’m planning on visiting SF sometime soon. Here in Toronto, we have a ton of Filipino food! I’m aware SF also has lots of Filipino food spots. But one thing I always wanted to try was Maranao cuisine? Does SF or the Bay Area have restaurants that feature Maranao or maybe southern style Filipino dishes. I would like to try palapa, piaparan, chicken Pastil, satti, etc.

Thanks <3

One neighborhood at a time. Where do you eat in the Castro, and what do you order there? Cheap and expensive both welcome. If a place has slipped, say that too.

Looking for biang biang noodles. I’m obsessed with them and hoping to find your favorite spot in SF. hoping reddit can lead me to the right spot.

Not just looking for “hand pulled” noodles, i’m specifically looking for biang biang noodles that come from xi’an/shaanxi china.

Fun fact! the name comes from the sound the dough makes when it strikes the table! it’s also the chinese character with the most strokes (42-71!)

If you had to choose 5 restaurants to visit for an ultimate top rated restaurant list in SF what 5 would you choose and in what order? Really want to hear your top lists, maybe specifically for "In town for a short trip, money's no object, you must hit these" famous SF spots kind of vibe
