Espionage and elimination never comes easy, - the mental and physical toll it takes on one is... Incredible - and of course, no individual is without their vice. Smoking, a habit that's frequently shunned and especially frowned upon among 'professional' crowds - but here the two are, gazing off towards distant horizons from a spot they both frequent, sharing stories - some falsified, others far too genuine.

They've grown comfortable with one another's company, smoking on breaks - after long hours, entirely unaware on one particular detail about one another; occupations. For whatever reason - its never crossed their minds, or rather, it's always been avoided. One of them, a solo Private Detective, running off cheap gigs and cigarettes to keep 'em running, whereas the other is a tool for elimination.

Irregardless of their circumstances - and shared tribulations, the pair grow increasingly comfortable with every drag. Who would've thought, venting issues and smoking troubles could be so -- peaceful? A twisted pairing the universe has conjured, two individuals from very different walks of life, moral opposites, sharing the same bad habit.

Humanity has long since ceased to be what it once was. The everyday routine that used to be completely normal for many people – getting up in the morning, going to work, getting through the day, coming home in the evening, and collapsing onto the couch exhausted – no longer exists. That everyday life is long gone. Today, it is no longer about living a normal life. It is simply about survival.

During this time, numerous settlements have been established. People have come together in order to have a better chance of surviving in this new world.
I am part of one such settlement. It is called SETRA. We have settled in a football stadium in Seattle. It serves as a large base where we have everything we need to survive.

Last week, Patrol 14 disappeared.
They were only supposed to follow a familiar route and search for new supplies. Nothing unusual for them. They knew the route and knew what to look out for. But at some point, contact was lost.
No radio transmission. No sign. Nothing.
They were simply gone.

Now my team, Patrol 7, and a newly assembled patrol from the western side of the base have been assigned to search for them.

To be honest, I am not particularly happy about sending an inexperienced patrol on such an important mission. Especially during an operation like this, every wrong decision can have serious consequences.

It is important to mention that none of the established characters from the video games The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II will appear. We will be playing entirely original characters and creating our own story within this universe.

The focus of the roleplay will be on survival, exploration, danger, difficult decisions, conflicts, teamwork, and character development.
The story should develop naturally.

Our characters could start out as complete strangers and gradually get to know each other through missions and shared experiences. Over time, they can learn how to work together, support one another, and function effectively as a team.

The exact starting situation is not completely decided yet. For example, we could decide that your character is part of the newly assembled patrol from the beginning. Hey! I was looking for a roleplay which was mainly slice of life and romance mixed in with elements from the fantasy genre!

I would absolutely love to have a story where there we can have a cutesy roleplay in a world where we can explore the many opportunities for world building and character writing that a fantasy world has to offer.

I don’t quite have very many ideas, but I have a couple of things I’d like in the rp + a basic plot idea.

Firstly, I am very leant towards LGBTQ+ ships! I’m not against straight ships, but I just find that LGBTQ+ ships are much more enjoyable, so I’ll be more inclined to do MxM or FxF, or something involving any gender identities and orientations (trans friendly :>).

secondly, I usually prefer a minimum of one paragraph per response (occasional responses where it’s less is alright, I totally understand that life can be stressful and doing less is totally fine on occasion as long as I have something to work with).

And finally, I am quite flexible to write with, so any breaks/hiatuses are perfectly fine as long as I have notice so I’m not thinking that I am being ghosted!

Now onto my plot idea:

My idea is that there is a renowned college that has one of the greatest educational programs out there for anyone of any species. It isn’t quite known by the general public and is quite exclusive to some of the most known families and clans, so only the top students are accepted into it. Our ocs can meet through that, and slowly become friends, then lovers. For tropes, I’ve been CRAVING a scholar (MC) x bully (YC) or even a scholar (MC) x rebel/delinquent (YC), but I’m open to any ideas that you have!

Don’t be afraid to share any plot ideas that you have! Nothing is set in stone, I just wanted a plot set in a world that is like earth but has a lot of fantasy elements too. I do have a preference for monster-y/non-human characters, but again it isn’t a need or anything. I am also open to different dynamics, settings, etc!

Hey! I was looking to do a roleplay consisting of fantasy elements in a modern setting! This roleplay is mostly set to be a slice of life and romance based roleplay with many different opportunities for action and drama, as well as a great amount of free room to add world building as we progress the story. I usually make a bit of a guideline for the sort of world building I like, and then allow us to add as many countries, islands, species as we want. I love making little events/traditions for our ocs to take part in, and just to make the world feel more alive outside our main characters/settings.

A bit about me, I am 19 and do not roleplay with minors so please do not contact me if you are under 18. I usually write anywhere between 1-3 paragraphs on average but can go a lot higher to about 8 paragraphs if I am feeling particularly inspired or have a lot to go off of. I am mostly interested in LGBTQ+ couple dynamics, though a dynamic I have been really wanting to try is a feminine man paired with a masculine woman. I am good with writing multiple characters and love to make our ocs have different friends together so it’s not a rut of the same two characters interacting constantly.

The idea I have is of our characters being of different backgrounds and clashing heads at first, maybe dealing with themes of classism or rivalries between each other’s families that prevents them from being together, so they can fall for each other despite their differences and what others think. I like the thought of them being at a college where they have to see each other, so they have more opportunity to learn more about each other and grow past any prejudice. I also had an idea that I liked of your oc having a young child from a past relationship that they have to take care of, which my oc can help take care of them and become their step parent (though it’s only a sweet idea, not required whatsoever).

I am on the hunt for an ACOTAR RP. I am F26. Let me tell you a little bit about what I am looking for in a partner, and then we can talk about what I am looking for in a plot.

I would like a partner who can respond at least once a week, ideally more. I am not too picky about the length of each post. I want someone who can describe the world, characters' internal thoughts, and help push the plot forward. There is nothing worse than a partner who does not help move the plot along.

I want someone who is going to help me come up with plots and engage in world-building. Realistically, I would like the world of ACOTAR to start feeling fae again. I want courts and species to have individual cultures that sometimes clash. I am okay with bending canon for an AU RP as well.

Basically, I want someone who can communicate and wants to have a shared writing experience. I am not looking to GM for anyone, nor am I looking just to be a player.

Let's get into the plots! I am looking for romance in my RPs. It does not have to be the dead center of the RP, though. I am fine with slow-burn romances that take time to build.

In terms of generic plot. I really want to lay into the political intrigue between courts. I want to explore intercourt dynamics. Dynamics between lesser and high fae. Let the love stories be messy and not straightforward. Let family dynamics be challenged. Do not let us just be limited to the books! We can do before the first war with Hybern. We could explore Rhysand just becoming High Lord. We could explore what happened if Tamlin didn't break the curse, or if he did but Feyre died. Explore a dynamic where the IC are actually the bad guys.

In terms of some inspiration and ideas I love for my side:

• arranged marriages
• Psyche and Eros-inspired vibes
• exploration of the main characters coming into their own at their jobs (Potentially Azriel and one of his first spies)
• emissaries being deployed to strengthen court bonds
• an OC who was born and raised UTM, struggling to adapt to life outside of it
• a scholar from Day/Dawn Court who is there to help repair the wards on Velaris

Here are the canon characters I am interested in playing against. Azriel, Eris, and Lucien are the main ones. I am definitely open to other MMC. In return, I'm comfortable playing Rhysand, Cassian, Lucien, and Tamlin, and I'd be open to playing Helion and Tarquin. I am also open to trying others.

Lastly, come into my box and tell me something fun! A plot you have always wanted to try, a plot point from the books you wished was explored differently, a fun headcanon, or a plot hole that drives you nuts.

Hello all! If it wasn't clear, this is a Warhammer 40k themed rp! Now, I won't pretend to know every lore tidbit, I'm still learning more each day, so I don't expect you to know every bit of lore either! My character will be a Battle Brother of the Lamenters, seemingly the only living soul left on the wreckage of his ship. hello, hello! i've recently been watching Sentenced to Be a Hero and it made me really want to implement its core premise into something original! that being said, you don't need to know anything about the actual franchise for this roleplay.

just know that the core premise is essentially that heroism is the gravest sentence a criminal can possibly receive. it's a life sentence with no end date— if a hero is to die, they'd be revived with the sole purpose of having them continue with the mission assigned to them by their kingdom. an endless cycle without even the sweet mercy of death to look forward to, each death and rebirth slowly peels away pieces of the hero's humanity and memories. eventually leaving them to be an empty husk of their original selves.

in the show, the heroes are bound to the main kingdom setting, so I'd be more than happy to lean into that or simply have our own spin on things. I'd prefer if both of us played heroes, but the details of your character and their crime is completely up to you! are they a hero that has emerged from a bygone era? or perhaps a royal found guilty of an unpardonable sin? go ham with your ideas!

Greetings writers of all kinds! If your reading this then you probably saw my title and thought "oh, that sounds interesting!" and if so then do please keep on reading! I am looking for partners who love creating original stories and romances that we can both become obsessed with! But before I flesh out my idea, I do have to share some boring but oh so important details.

- I live on the west coast of the US, so PST for me though timezone is not a huge issue for me.
- I type a lot, and I am looking for a partner who does as well. On average I type around 4-6 paragraphs though that also does depend on what's going on. I am looking for a partner who can match that, and that is a deal breaker for me.
- Oh I do write in 3rd person past tense!!

Now onto the fun stuff!!

So this is a medieval fantasy rp, where we would focus on the romance between two people who have known each other for pretty much their entire lives.

He is Perrin Al'Thor, prince and heir to the kingdom of Andor. He wasn't born to the king and queen, instead he was adopted by them after his village was attacked and he was the only survivor. One of his most unique characteristics is he has a power that allows him to talk to wolves. Basically he can hear the thoughts and voices of ever wolf that is alive in the back of his head and he can communicate to them that way, ontop of feeling everything that they feel.

As for your character, that's up to you! Maybe she's a lesser Andoran lady, or the princess of another kingdom, maybe she's a commoner, who knows!!

But regardless, my idea is they met when they were kids, and became best friends. As they grew older that friendship turned to more, and when they came of age they began to court each other. Eventually a betrothal was made, but then disaster struck. Andor found itself at war with one of its neighbors, and as Prince it was Perrins task with leading the armies in the war.

The rp would start 3 years after that point, and the war is finally over. People all across Andor begin to celebrate, and the royal city becomes abuzz of people waiting for the return of their prince, but he has other plans. Instead your character who has probably stayed at the palace throughout the course of the war, receives a letter from him, asking her to meet him at a cabin that they built together, so whenever they needed a break from it all.

And it's at that special place that they finally reunite.

Hello to all reading this! You can call me Magix, I’m 25F typically in PST. My experience ranges from writing one shots, to fanfics, and novella responses. I’ve been writing for over a decade. I’m in search of a roleplay partner who feels the same love I feel towards writing, while still thinking of it as a hobby, and someone who is able to reciprocate my energy in creating a beautiful story. 

I write in 3rd person only. My responses tend to be adv. lit with some even hitting novella, I typically average more than 1k words and don’t go lower than 500 words. I would rather write with someone who is able to hit the same length as I am, with understanding that some scenes may have varying lengths. Dialogue is cut shorter unless the setting is in need of description. 

Roleplaying is only a hobby for me. I write when I’m able to, not every second of the day. Rapid fire responses is not something I typically enjoy doing. I’m quick with OOC chatter, unless I’m busy or something else comes up, while my replies tend to be around every few days. Don’t be afraid to give me a heads up, or let me know if you’d rather take a break.

• Someone who is able to yap with me and give the same energy I have when it comes to the roleplay. I’ll assume you’re not interested otherwise

• OOC/OOG is not a requirement but definitely encouraged! I’m a yapper. I always love sharing fun facts, talking about some super cool event, sharing boards, and more! As an online extrovert, I’m always looking for someone I can connect with!

• Someone willing to create a beautiful story outside of just a simple trope 

• Flawed characters. No mary sues or gary stus allowed! Take your perfect characters and write them someplace else! 

• Respect is something I expect, but a lot of writers I’ve met have none of that. If you are against LBGTQ+ and POC characters (and people), this is not the place for you. Be kind! 

High Priority plots and genres!

• I have been yearning to do something set in the Wild West for SO long. Anything with cowboys is my go-to.

• Perhaps something historical? I’d love to do something set in the distant past, preferably an Ancient Rome or China setting. I’m a big fan of different mythology and a lot of my recent storylines have taken inspiration from those eras, as well as the different gods and tales from the myths. 

• Fantasy would also be interesting! I’m a huge fan of fantasy creatures, medieval settings, magic systems, and more! I prefer worlds with the majority of these typical fantasy elements. A lot of my characters in this genre tend to be magic users or elves, but I also have a liking towards dragons. Dragon riders plots are interesting, the pairing with a dragon shapeshifter and a seasoned rider is always fun to write out. Again, sometimes I take inspiration from mythology and I have written plots where the story was centered around a pantheon based on actual gods and goddesses.

• Vampires. No further explanation with that. I’ve been a lover of these creatures for years, with my goal of consuming the most media about it as I can! I like writing mysterious characters who keep their motives to themselves, hiding their true identity as a bloodsucking monster. I typically write these in old settings. The pairings I enjoy with vampires would be vampire x werewolf, vampire x hunter, and vampire x noble. Vampire courts are also a joy to explore.

Obviously I wouldn’t be opposed to trying out another genre or plot, but these would be my most wanted experiences. Don’t be afraid to come to me with a different genre or style!

High Priority Fandoms

Harry Potter I’ve been a fan of the movies for years, as well as rereading the books whenever I can, and would love to do something in this universe. I think the magic is just beautiful. We could do something in the Golden Trio, Marauders, post-voldemort, Legacy, pre-Legacy eras. We could explore the other schools and give them our own twist, without giving in to any of the stereotypes. Maybe even an exchange program, something like the Triwizard Tournament but not exactly. I’d prefer to stay away from canon and create our own story, with a new set of characters and supporting cast, but if the story is interesting enough then I’d be willing in doing something based on the canon storyline. I tend to play OC x OC. I don’t think I’d give the characters enough justice or play them well enough for you, which I’ll probably say for the rest of the fandoms.

Some more fandoms I’m really looking for are : Game of Thrones, Jujutsu Kaisen, Arcane, Overwatch, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure(!!!), Naruto, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Marvel, DC (!!!), Life is Strange, Valorant, Genshin Impact (!!!), andddd probably way more.

A little about me! I am 21 from the uk. Your timezone doesn’t matter to me, everyone has a life and that comes before RP always. I try my best to reply when I can but sometimes I can’t. Grammar is always important to me. We are humans and we make mistakes, I’ve probably made mistakes in here but all I ask is that you try to be detailed and use proper grammar and punctuation. I am dyslexic myself so I do apologise for any spelling mistakes or punctuation error but I do always try.

I typically try to match my partners writing but it could be 2-5 paragraphs, it really depends on what the actual scene is but I can’t write multiple paragraphs every single time, that burns me out and I just don’t find it enjoyable so I apologise if that’s what you’re looking for. I also write in 1st person and would prefer if you did as well but again that’s not needed, I can do 3rd if that’s what you really want.

I just started rewatching the show and through it would be fun to explore their dynamic more through writing, including their chemistry, banter, slow-burn romance, and all the little moments that make their relationship so enjoyable. I’m definitely open to brainstorming ideas, creating storylines, and seeing where things take us!

Hey! I'm looking for someone interested in a SOL roleplay focused on character development, interpersonal tension, and gradual relationship development.

I'm not looking for a completely predetermined story. I'd much rather create the characters, setting, and direction together and see where things naturally go. I'm particularly interested in stories where the characters don't necessarily get along immediately—awkward first meetings, misunderstandings, conflicting personalities, old disagreements, or circumstances that keep bringing two people into each other's lives.

The characters would have their own lives outside the story: work, hobbies, friends, routines, personal goals, and everyday problems. I'd like the interactions between them to develop naturally alongside all of that.

Some possible setups

The New Neighbour

One of us moves into a new apartment or house, only to discover their neighbour is rather difficult. Their first meeting goes badly, perhaps over something completely mundane, and they continue encountering one another despite getting on each other's nerves. Over time, those first impressions begin to change as they discover there's more to the other person than they initially thought.

The Bookstore

A chance encounter in a bookstore starts with the two characters reaching for the same book—or perhaps disagreeing over it. They keep running into each other afterward, whether one works there or they're both regular visitors. What begins as mild irritation gradually becomes familiarity, with plenty of room for teasing, disagreements, and discovering unexpected similarities.

The Gym

Two regulars repeatedly encounter each other at the same gym, but neither makes a particularly good first impression. Maybe they're competitive, perhaps they misunderstand each other's personalities, or they simply get under each other's skin. Eventually they have a reason to actually talk, and their opinion of one another begins to change.

The Lost Stranger

One character is new to a city and finds themselves completely lost, eventually asking a stranger for help. What should be a brief interaction turns into something longer, perhaps because they need help finding somewhere important or keep unexpectedly crossing paths afterward. Neither expected the encounter to become significant.

House Sitting

Two people independently agree to look after the same property, only discovering the misunderstanding when they both arrive. Neither is particularly happy about sharing the space, but circumstances leave them there together. As the days pass, awkwardness and disagreements gradually give way to genuine conversations and a better understanding of each other.

The Road Trip

Two people who don't necessarily get along find themselves travelling together. Maybe they're helping a mutual friend, attending the same event, or simply need to reach the same destination. Spending hours together creates plenty of opportunities for arguments, unexpected laughter, uncomfortable silences, and conversations they might never have had otherwise.

The Friend's Sibling

We've known of each other for years through a mutual friend, but we've never exactly gotten along. Maybe we've always competed, teased each other, or simply have completely different personalities. Circumstances now mean spending more time together, making it increasingly difficult to maintain those old assumptions about one another.

The Wedding

Two strangers meet at a wedding where neither particularly wants to be. Perhaps they're seated together, taking a break from the festivities, or simply looking for someone to talk to. An awkward first interaction develops into an unexpected connection, leaving both wondering whether they'll ever cross paths again once the event is over.

These are just starting points, and I'm very open to changing them or combining ideas. I'd rather build something together than stick rigidly to a predetermined plot.

Hi, I’m Mars! A bit about me and how I write: I am 32F and in EST. I’ve been writing for about 2 decades. I prefer to write stronger characters that lean more toward the masculine traits. I typically write about 3-4 paragraphs that focus on introspection, world building, and atmosphere while keeping the dialogue minimal enough for my partner to respond! Length depends on the situation though and my partner’s post length; a moment of action will always be shorter than something like, moving from setting to setting. I like to write NPCs to flesh out the world and will also describe the world our characters inhabit, something I hope my partner joins me in.

I don’t like having my characters controlled by my partner and I won’t control theirs either or tell them how their characters should act. I also make characters per plot and don't have pre-made characters. I don’t always have perfect grammar/catch all of my typos but I do try my best, I don’t expect perfection either. I’d love it if we could have multiple rps if we’re a really good match, focusing on one at a time of course! I also love responses which acknowledge what my characters have done and said or even give an interpretation of what my characters is doing, I offer the same. I would also like the mention I do my best to be canon compliant but these are my interpretations of canon characters so they might not always be perfect, I am open to criticism and adjustments though! The rain had been falling since dusk, leaving the streets of the city shining beneath the lights of passing cars. Inside the penthouse, the atmosphere was considerably quieter.

The meeting had lasted for hours. For generations, two families had fought for control of the city's criminal underworld, each unwilling to surrender ground to the other. Tonight, however, they had finally found a reason to stop.

He had inherited his father's empire only weeks ago. Young enough that some questioned whether he could hold everything his family had built, but that hadnt lasted long..he had quickly established himself enough that nobody in the room had mistaken the meaning of his succession. He was the new head of the family.

If the agreement reached tonight held, the rivalry that had defined the previous generation could finally come to an end. There was only one final matter to settle.

When he entered the drawing room, he found her waiting beside the windows. He knew who she was immediately. The daughter of the family that had stood against his own for years. She had been part of the negotiations from the beginning. Her future had been discussed alongside territory, business interests, and the terms of the alliance—not because she belonged to anyone, but because both families believed that bringing their heirs together would make the peace strong enough to last.

She turned toward him as he entered, neither speaking at first. He closed the door behind himself and approached, his expression calm and unreadable.

“So,” he said quietly, “you're the final part of the agreement.”

His gaze settled on hers.

“The agreement depends on us.”

There was no accusation in his voice, only certainty. He gestured toward the chair across from his.

“Sit.”

He waited until his eyes met hers again.

“Tonight, we decide what this arrangement is going to become.”
