My writing varies a lot, mainly from literary to novella, but I tend to keep up with roughly the same amount of writing as my partners, but I love details. PLOT

So I have a plan with a couple of villains I have linked together. I would detail it here but that would make this post way too long winded. But more then willing to get into it with anyone interested

This is something I am going to need. My character has 2 other OCs of mine and the 3 of them are best friends. They would hang out all the time, literally inseparable, a found brothers kind of thing. The only two who know their friends is a superhero, etc. And honestly I miss it so much because of one stupid mistake I made and have a real deep craving to write these characters again. So please, I am imploring you guys to PLEASE help me write for them. I am even open to creative liberties and tweaking these characters I am just desperate to see these 3 be friends.

I know playing side characters who aren't a hero just villains who get stopped, characters who don't have powers etc. So we can make multiple heroes we can create storyline and rouges gallery for that we can connect and link with each other like Marvel or DC would do.

Humanity has long since ceased to be what it once was. The everyday routine that used to be completely normal for many people – getting up in the morning, going to work, getting through the day, coming home in the evening, and collapsing onto the couch exhausted – no longer exists. That everyday life is long gone. Today, it is no longer about living a normal life. It is simply about survival.

During this time, numerous settlements have been established. People have come together in order to have a better chance of surviving in this new world.
I am part of one such settlement. It is called SETRA. We have settled in a football stadium in Seattle. It serves as a large base where we have everything we need to survive.

Last week, Patrol 14 disappeared.
They were only supposed to follow a familiar route and search for new supplies. Nothing unusual for them. They knew the route and knew what to look out for. But at some point, contact was lost.
No radio transmission. No sign. Nothing.
They were simply gone.

Now my team, Patrol 7, and a newly assembled patrol from the western side of the base have been assigned to search for them.

To be honest, I am not particularly happy about sending an inexperienced patrol on such an important mission. Especially during an operation like this, every wrong decision can have serious consequences.

But what can I really do about it?

It is important to mention that none of the established characters from the video games The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II will appear. We will be playing entirely original characters and creating our own story within this universe.

The focus of the roleplay will be on survival, exploration, danger, difficult decisions, conflicts, teamwork, and character development.
The story should develop naturally.

Our characters could start out as complete strangers and gradually get to know each other through missions and shared experiences. Over time, they can learn how to work together, support one another, and function effectively as a team.

The exact starting situation is not completely decided yet. For example, we could decide that your character is part of the newly assembled patrol from the beginning. Alternatively, we can come up with another starting point if you have your own idea. I am completely open to suggestions and would be happy to hear your ideas.

My Character:

I already have a complete and detailed description prepared for my character. It contains everything important about him and should give you a better impression of how I envision him. Your Character:

When it comes to your character, you are completely free to create whoever you want. A little about me! I am 21 from the uk. Your timezone doesn’t matter to me, everyone has a life and that comes before RP always. I try my best to reply when I can but sometimes I can’t. Grammar is always important to me. We are humans and we make mistakes, I’ve probably made mistakes in here but all I ask is that you try to be detailed and use proper grammar and punctuation. I am dyslexic myself so I do apologise for any spelling mistakes or punctuation error but I do always try.

I typically try to match my partners writing but it could be 2-5 paragraphs, it really depends on what the actual scene is but I can’t write multiple paragraphs every single time, that burns me out and I just don’t find it enjoyable so I apologise if that’s what you’re looking for. I also write in 1st person and would prefer if you did as well but again that’s not needed, I can do 3rd if that’s what you really want.

I just started rewatching the show and through it would be fun to explore their dynamic more through writing, including their chemistry, banter, slow-burn romance, and all the little moments that make their relationship so enjoyable. I’m definitely open to brainstorming ideas, creating storylines, and seeing where things take us!

Hey! I'm looking for someone interested in a SOL roleplay focused on character development, interpersonal tension, and gradual relationship development.

I'm not looking for a completely predetermined story. I'd much rather create the characters, setting, and direction together and see where things naturally go. I'm particularly interested in stories where the characters don't necessarily get along immediately—awkward first meetings, misunderstandings, conflicting personalities, old disagreements, or circumstances that keep bringing two people into each other's lives.

The characters would have their own lives outside the story: work, hobbies, friends, routines, personal goals, and everyday problems. I'd like the interactions between them to develop naturally alongside all of that.

Some possible setups

The New Neighbour

One of us moves into a new apartment or house, only to discover their neighbour is rather difficult. Their first meeting goes badly, perhaps over something completely mundane, and they continue encountering one another despite getting on each other's nerves. Over time, those first impressions begin to change as they discover there's more to the other person than they initially thought.

The Bookstore

A chance encounter in a bookstore starts with the two characters reaching for the same book—or perhaps disagreeing over it. They keep running into each other afterward, whether one works there or they're both regular visitors. What begins as mild irritation gradually becomes familiarity, with plenty of room for teasing, disagreements, and discovering unexpected similarities.

The Gym

Two regulars repeatedly encounter each other at the same gym, but neither makes a particularly good first impression. Maybe they're competitive, perhaps they misunderstand each other's personalities, or they simply get under each other's skin. Eventually they have a reason to actually talk, and their opinion of one another begins to change.

The Lost Stranger

One character is new to a city and finds themselves completely lost, eventually asking a stranger for help. What should be a brief interaction turns into something longer, perhaps because they need help finding somewhere important or keep unexpectedly crossing paths afterward. Neither expected the encounter to become significant.

House Sitting

Two people independently agree to look after the same property, only discovering the misunderstanding when they both arrive. Neither is particularly happy about sharing the space, but circumstances leave them there together. As the days pass, awkwardness and disagreements gradually give way to genuine conversations and a better understanding of each other.

The Road Trip

Two people who don't necessarily get along find themselves travelling together. Maybe they're helping a mutual friend, attending the same event, or simply need to reach the same destination. Spending hours together creates plenty of opportunities for arguments, unexpected laughter, uncomfortable silences, and conversations they might never have had otherwise.

The Friend's Sibling

We've known of each other for years through a mutual friend, but we've never exactly gotten along. Maybe we've always competed, teased each other, or simply have completely different personalities. Circumstances now mean spending more time together, making it increasingly difficult to maintain those old assumptions about one another.

The Wedding

Two strangers meet at a wedding where neither particularly wants to be. Perhaps they're seated together, taking a break from the festivities, or simply looking for someone to talk to. An awkward first interaction develops into an unexpected connection, leaving both wondering whether they'll ever cross paths again once the event is over.

These are just starting points, and I'm very open to changing them or combining ideas. I'd rather build something together than stick rigidly to a predetermined plot.

I have returned with another search! Aaaaand as the title suggests, it is a fandom search, namely a few anime/games that I've been terribly fixated on! My name is Kore and I am a writer in my 30s looking for another writing partner or two. A bit about me--I have been writing on and off for about twenty years (where did the time go?) and I really enjoy writing that deals with character development and allows for the plot to grow from our plans. Which means I am pretty open to loose planning our story and then seeing where the story takes us!

Some things I look for in a writing partner:

• Someone over the age of 28. I prefer to write with people closer to my age.
• Third person writing is preferred but I can be convinced to write first person.
• I am not super picky over writnig length. I have a couple of writing projects where my posts are clocking 1,000+ words per reply. I am fine with something shorter.
• I like to yap. OOC chat is fun! I don't need it everyday but I have found that talking to your writing partner outside of the role play and forging friendships reduces ghosting.
• I prefer to write on Discord
• I tend to write female characters but can play male if needed. I just ask the plot is actually substantial.

Hello all!! It's already halfway through October, and I've yet to get my fix of spooky writing for the year... so I figured I'd come on here.

For starters, I'm 21, so I need my partner to be 18+!! As for gender, I'm open to anyone. That goes for both you and your character!

I'm willing to write any sort of pairings. Romantic, friends, enemies. Enemies to lovers, friends to enemies? Who knows. Just a heads up, I do prefer to play male characters. But, if needed for the plot, I can change that!

Anyways let's get to the actual good stuff. I don't have any set in stone ideas but a few vague roles.

1. I've always liked the creature / creature hunter sort of thing. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, whatever.

2. ^^ Or, branching off of that one, hunter / civilian. I'm not sure a better way to describe it. Think of an apocalypse sort of thing - "don't worry, i know how to fight these things off, i'll protect you + teach you my ways." Like that, LOL

3. Two friends go exploring a haunted house. One of them gets possessed, like an idiot

4. Two supernaturals tasked to go into the human world for... something? I'm not sure yet. Or maybe, just one of our characters is supernatural.

The old man slowly turned his coffee cup in place, grinding the old ceramic into a tabletop of weathered oak. His wizened fingers were long, steadier than most his age but still showing the tremors of age.

"I held on as long as I could." His eyes were weary behind his thick bifocals. He stared intently at the cooling beverage in front of him. "I should have retired years ago. I'm... Making mistakes, getting slow."

The wooden slats of his chair creaked as he leaned back. Outside a battered old farm truck rattled along the two lane road that passed for main street. "This town needs a doctor and I'm all they have..."

He glanced pointedly at the woman sharing his table. She was half his age, barely in her thirties despite the streaks of premature gray running down her long gray braid. She was in the prime of her life while he was well into the twilight of his.

"Doctor Ishikawa," the old man loaded her title with respect. He'd read her history, checked her credentials himself. Young as she may be the slim woman was ER attending at a big city trauma center, and before that even trained as a surgeon. "I know the town's made it's offer, but..."

He trailed off for a second, voice catching as he was forced to present the truth he'd spent a decade trying to run from. "Without a doctor people are going to suffer, they're going to die. And you... You're not just a doctor."

The young woman reached over and placed her hand on his. Her fingers were cool to the touch, machined titanium segments with joints so fine you couldn't even slip a hair into the seams. The old man nodded, returning her smile with one of his own. But the relief he expected never came, just an eerie sense of foreboding. He'd seen the woman's file--the parts of it that were public at least. After the accident her body was held together by artificial limbs and surgically implanted titanium pins. Could he really trust his practice, his town, to a woman who was more metal than flesh?

I'm looking to play this classic story of a city gal thrust into a small town world she has to adapt to, but with the added twist of her mechanical limbs. Poor Katrina Ishikawa can't hide her injuries, she carries the evidence of the accident that maimed her wherever she goes, and now she's stuck in a permanent fishbowl where she can't fade into the background.

Why you should play with me?

I'm a literate role player getting back into the swing of things after some time away. I love crafting living characters, breathing plots, and painting pictures with words.

Why shouldn't you play with me?

I like writing nice, meaty replies with at least a few paragraphs of solid detail and plot for my partner to interact with. That, unfortunately, requires a certain headspace that I can't manage around the clock. Expect me to reply when I'm able, but understand I have other things demanding my time.

Plot: You play an actress who is the daughter of a multimillionaire. Your life has been glist and glam since the day you entered the world. Anything and everything was yours from the moment the thought of it entered your mind. And being an award winning actress meant you were the top pick for multiple Hollywood blockbusters.

However you were also the media's favourite actress. The one they loved for the tantrums and dramas that came from your time on the set and in your regular day to day life. Countless scandals found their way to the blogs and papers all with your name on them. Luckily the eminence wealth of your family made it easy to sweep most of your problems under the rug. Until one day they weren't. You had been caught up in a scandal so bad that even your PR team or family couldn't make it go away. Subsequently you were blackballed from the industry.

There was only one way out, an image change. You had to give the media something new to talk about. So after a year of no jobs and laying low. Your and your family came up with a plan to get you arranged to someone who worked for your father. The plan is to shift the image of you in the tabloids by making everyone focus on your new mystery lover. And your secret romance. Once you are back on the A list, their would be a divorce, and you'd get your old life back.

But would spending time with the man lead to deeper feelings? Would it be so easy to throw away someone after spending time with them?
