2003 Strawberry Shortcake Hindi Theme Song (Pogo TV)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for the official Hindi dubbed theme song for the 1999 or 2003 classic Strawberry Shortcake series that aired on Pogo or Nicklodeaon TV's 'Tiny TV' block in India during the mid-2000s. Does anyone have old VHS/TV recordings, an audio clip, or the exact Hindi lyric transliteration?"

Salute Your Shorts - The Awful Waffle

I am revising the Awful Waffle discussion to share a new theory. Did they ever actually say what’s involved in the awful waffle? Are they actually saying “awful”?

I’m curious because the other day I was watching a cooking video where the creator mentioned serving something with “awful soup”. I was like “WTH is awful soup?” And it made me think of the awful waffle.

Turns out she said “offal soup” and offal is carcass meat and animal organs.

And now I can’t help but wonder if the kids were saying “Offal Waffle”…which would be just the right kind of disgusting thing to give someone on this funny show.

Offal Waffle! Offal Waffle! 🤢

Game Shows Haunted House Party – A Forgotten Nickelodeon Game Show Pilot from the 1990s

Hi everyone!

I'm Karim Miteff, co-creator and producer of Nick Arcade, which I developed with James Bethea and which aired on Nickelodeon in 1992.

I thought some of you might enjoy seeing something from my personal archives that very few people have had an opportunity to watch.

It's called Haunted House Party, a children's television game show pilot produced by James Bethea's production company, Psi Clone Entertainment, under contract to Nickelodeon during the early 1990s.

The pilot was filmed at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, following the completion of our work on Nick Arcade.

What's particularly interesting is that Haunted House Party was one of three separate television pilots produced under the same contract with Nickelodeon, each exploring different concepts for potential children's television series.

What Was Haunted House Party?

Imagine combining a children's game show with a haunted house attraction, theatrical comedy, supernatural characters, and interactive special effects.

The show was hosted by Rottie McBones, an eccentric and somewhat ghoulish master of ceremonies who guided young contestants through a haunted environment filled with ghosts, unusual characters, and supernatural surprises.

The intention was to create an environment in which the haunted house itself became an active participant in the game.

Sets, props, and scenic elements were designed to interact with contestants through practical effects, mechanical systems, and real-time interactive technology.

Some of the ideas were quite ambitious for their time.

The Surviving Pilot Footage

I've recently assembled an approximately ten-minute archival presentation featuring surviving footage from the original pilot.

The source material comes from an aging analog video recording, so the picture quality is considerably degraded. Nevertheless, it provides a fascinating glimpse into what we were attempting to create.

For this presentation, I've placed the footage within a stylized vintage television environment and made a few editorial changes.

These include a newly created atmospheric opening sequence, some closing graphics, and a fictional television station identification for WCTH Arkham. I also had to edit out the original opening that used the iconic run-up and fly-through at the beginning of the HBO series Tales from the Crypt. Since it was a pilot that was never intended for air, it was decided there was no need to create a unique sequence. Still, the sequence that replaced it was added many years ago, and I thought it would be too disruptive to add an AI sequence at this point.

Yes, that's a little nod to H. P. Lovecraft!

The original program footage retains much of its authentic early-1990s analog appearance.

I'm currently working on a longer documentary exploring the development of the show, including its origins, characters, production design, practical effects, and the interactive technology we envisioned.

I still have some of the original production documentation, artwork, and other materials, which have helped reconstruct the history of the project.

There's quite a bit more to the story, particularly concerning some of the technological innovations that were being explored.

In the meantime, I wanted to share this surviving footage with people who remember the early Nickelodeon Studios era.

For those who grew up watching Nick Arcade, Double Dare, Nickelodeon GUTS, and the other shows produced in Orlando, I hope this provides an interesting look at another project being developed during that remarkable period of children's television.

I'd love to hear what you think!

With Hey Arnold! celebrating its 30th anniversary, we had the chance to sit down with Justin Shenkarow, the voice of Harold Berman, for a new episode of Splat Attack!

We talked about how Justin landed the role, what it was like recording with the other young cast members, the show's original pilot, and the surprising history of Arnold's claymation appearances.

We also discussed Harold's Bar Mitzvah, working with creator Craig Bartlett, returning for Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie, and the show's lasting impact on fans.

If you grew up watching Nickelodeon in the '90s, we'd love to hear your memories!

Where does Harold rank among your favorite Hey Arnold! characters? Did your opinion of him change as you got older?

Thanks for checking out our interview, and we hope you enjoy the trip back to Hillwood!

Splat Attack is a '90s pop culture podcast celebrating the slime-filled past.

Remember U-Pick Live? Of course you do. Remember how you could pick the challenges the hosts had to? For sure, why wouldn't you? But do you remember THIS challenge?

The guy host, Brent, had to eat cookies and vinegar. When he tried it, he said he actually liked it, and kept eating the cookies with vinegar! Then the gal host, Candace, tried it herself, cuz Brent's making it sound amazing! And she just has a look of disgust on her face! And he's still going to town on the cookies and vinegar!

Anyone remember this one?

Other / Discussion Coming up with a list of Nickelodeon bumpers and I need your suggestions

Reddit suggested I should’ve posted this here instead of the main subreddit, so that’s what I’ll do

So I’m compiling a list of Nickelodeon bumpers and I want there to be 200. Which bumpers should I also add to this list? They have to have the balloon font logo (so nothing before 1984 and nothing after 2009), they can’t be Nicktoons Network/TeenNick/anything else, just Nick, bumpers with the Nicktoons logo are only allowed if A: they came out before Nicktoons Network was a thing (before 2002) or B: still feature the actual Nickelodeon logo at one point, they can’t be “we’ll be right back/back to the show bumpers, and they can’t be any tie in bumpers relating to the Nicktoons or any of the shows & movies

At least the bathroom looks the same. And during Halloween horror nights they let you walk around to the front door which was nice. Just a shame it’s a shell of itself. It’s amazing the amount of people who walked by here saying “what’s that building”.

Anyone else get to visit the Nickelodeon building in its prime?

SNICK I finally met the cast of The Secret World of Alex Mack after 30 years, and they could not have been nicer

Post image

This was pretty surreal.

I’ve loved The Secret World of Alex Mack since the night it premiered, and getting to meet Larisa Oleynik, Darris Love, Meredith Bishop and Natanya Ross all these years later was incredible.

All four of them were ridiculously nice and genuinely seemed happy to meet the fans. Meredith was doing her first-ever con and was an absolute delight. Darris is a total ball of energy. Natanya is just the sweetest and deserves a ton of credit for helping get everyone together at '90s Con.

And Larisa… yeah. She was my first real celebrity crush, and I have never been more nervous to meet anyone in my life. She could not have been kinder.

Thirty years later, absolutely worth the wait.
