Post image
• Upvotes

Hello
Anyone had a hard time dealing with Eliauk ?
He just sent me random pictures of his album and refused to send proper QC pictures of the dial for a Cartier tank with my name of it etc…
Can anyone recommend a trustworthy seller with better manners and same low pricing?
Thanks !

TD Issues - Check Rule 6 before posting TrustyTime Warning: Paid Almost $500 and Received a Different, Defective Watch!

• Upvotes

I paid almost $500 for an Omega Seamaster replica from TrustyTime.

The watch I received was completely different from the one shown in their QC video. Even worse, the automatic rotor arrived stuck and defective.

I've followed all of Andrew's instructions, but nothing worked. Now they're not responding or offering a solution.

Extremely disappointing quality and customer service.

Has anyone else had problems with TrustyTime?

Tech Tips/Advice Fixing desk diver. Shinning it up

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

A lot of time I see posts on how to polish or how to chamfer / how to shine my watch up?

I spend most of my time at a computer and the edge of my desk and my laptop case being metal and hard scratch the hell out of my clasp.

So here is the supplies needed to fix it.

1) gloves or finger cots and masking tape ( simple painters tape or scotch tape will also work )

2) sanding sticks / Brillo pad ( soft to medium ) and cape code cloth

3) Elbow grease

I took my watch and taped the brushed parts and used some cape code cloth cut into 1 x 3 cm strips and rubbed the shinny parts. Cleaned it w an alcohol swab and micro fibre cloth and did it a second time. Total about 10 minutes. Till the cape code cloth was black and pretty messed up. Then I removed the tape and taped the shiny parts and used the scotch bright pad ( green) to in the direction of the brush marks rub w the pad. Total time 4 to 5 minutes.

I then used a 1000 grit sanding block and rubbed the edge of the case and bracelet. Cleaned and repeated w the 1200 grit sanding block. Go slow in even motion and apply equal and constant pressure.

Cleaned the watch up w micro fibre cloth

95 plus percent of the scratches came off. Clasp and case sides that rub against the desk were shinny again. Especially good was the small scratches. Almost all of them came out. The diff in shine is night and day. I wish I had taken a before and after picture. But here is the after. This is a year of heavy wear and scratches that came off in a few minutes. Good luck to all those desk divers. Next time you are sitting no in a 2 hour meeting bored, you can tackle four watches.

What I do different, is spend a little more time preparing and taping. The better this part the easier the main part. Go slow and go patient. Steady hands. 🙌

It works. All the parts courtesy of Ali Express for less than 15 to 20 bucks delivered to my door. Good luck

Review/Comparison Is there a better feeling?

Nothing compares to finally receiving that package after weeks of waiting.

Just got these beauties from JuiceTime.

VSF 116500
DDF 5711

The Blue on the DDF is stunning, looked insane without the crystal when I took it apart.

Feeling very lucky today as I heard the news of the DDF raid whilst this was in the post to me. I figured I’d also get the VSF incase they ever get raided I’d have one of their best models.

Observations:

The bracelets on both felt absolutely terrible when I first handled them. Luckily I have another DDF 5711 and VSF 116500 black dial which I’ve owned for over a year each and their bracelets feel considerably better. Just wash new bracelets with a toothbrush + soapy water and dry them with a microfibre cloth. After a few weeks of wear they’ll feel a lot better.

The Panda is alright, the dial looks great from front on but for some reason when looking at it from an angle it doesn’t have that wow factor I thought it would. I’ll wear it a little more and see if it grows on me.

Discussion Any TD has VSF Rolex OP stock?

Any TDs are having the Rolex Oyster Perpetual (any colour or dial size) in stock?

I enquired around and only Andiot had the cream and yellow dials in stock. Every other TD is saying at least 3-4 months of wait time

Discussion Updated who makes the best guide

• Upvotes

I just noticed that the NWBIG and Super Rep list was updated on October 16, 2026 and it got me wondering…

Who owns that list? How is consensus determined? Is there a board which votes every so often?

Do you think anything is missing from the list?

General Question Bruce Wayne 126710GRNR - VSF V3 vs RICH V2 for best overall build?

• Upvotes

Hey guys,

I’m about to pick up a Bruce Wayne on Jubilee and I’m stuck between the latest VSF V3 and RICH V2.

I’ve read a lot of the comparisons already and it seems like both have different strengths. VSF seems to have the better crystal/cyclops and a very strong overall package, while RICH gets a lot of praise for the case/bezel profile and movement.

My main priorities are:

  • overall visual accuracy in normal everyday wear
  • bezel colour in real-life lighting, not macro photos
  • crystal/cyclops/date
  • Jubilee bracelet look and feel
  • case/rehaut finishing
  • long-term reliability

I’m also trying to work out whether it makes more sense to buy a VSF V3 and keep it mostly stock, maybe just having the bracelet edges/finishing done if needed, or go RICH V2 + Deep crystal + bracelet finishing.

For context, one of my coworkers owns genuine Pepsi and Batgirl GMTs, although he doesn’t own a Bruce Wayne and isn’t a rep enthusiast. He might notice the watch and look at it fairly closely, possibly handle it for a minute, so I’m interested in how these actually compare in person, rather than under zoomed-in Reddit photos.

I’ve seen people call the GRNR bezel an “instant tell”, but I’ve also seen owners who have both gen and VSF V3 say the grey looks virtually identical in person and that they can barely tell them apart at a glance.

For anyone who has handled gen + VSF V3 and/or RICH V2, which would you choose today?

  1. VSF V3 stock / lightly finished
  2. RICH V2 + Deep crystal / bracelet finishing

And for the Jubilee specifically: is the difference from gen actually obvious when handling it, or is most of the criticism exaggerated?

Not looking for “perfect 1:1” claims - just interested in the real-world differences from people who have actually had these watches in hand.

General Question Rubber strap for the Pelagos 39 without end links – cheaper alternatives?

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for a rubber strap for my Tudor Pelagos 39, specifically the type without integrated end links, like the one in the attached picture.

I’ve found a few options online, but most of them cost over €200, which is a bit more than I’d like to spend. I was wondering if anyone knows of any more affordable alternatives that fit the Pelagos 39 properly.

I also came across an interesting listing at a much better price, but the description mentions the Black Bay 58. Does anyone know if a rubber strap designed for the BB58 would also fit the Pelagos 39, or are the dimensions and lug geometry different?

Any recommendations, links, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Nautilus 5711 White Textured Dial DD324 - DDF

Hey reptime

I've been a member here for many years, and have amassed a collection that you can see. I wanted to share a few lessons I've learnt while personally collecting to help those of you with a smaller collection, or even those of you looking to buy your first watch.

  1. buy what you like.

in this subreddit I often see people asking what they should buy next. The real answer here is nobody on this subreddit can answer that for you. People will often say you need 'some colour' (you can see i like monochrome), or 'a dress watch to be added', or even to add some arbitrary complication. The reality of the situation is you don't actually need any of that. over the years ive seen people with collections of just GMTs because they love GMTs, and you know what, fair enough. Buy what you like, not what you think will make a perfect collection to please others. Buying what you like makes your own collection yours.

  1. dont buy a loupe

in this game you always get what you pay for. if you're buying a chinatime special, it'll be bad, if you buy a $1K DDF black ceramic chrono, it'll be very good, but true experts will still be able to tell it apart through a loupe and through the movement. Why? well because you're paying 5-15% of the watch value for 80-95% of the 'same' product. Sometimes I even feel bad for TDs who have their stuff rejected because of minor imperfections that are unnoticeable on the wrist. If you need perfection, buy legit.

  1. dont trust social media & just use a TD

TDs don't need to advertise, we do that for them while posting reviews and through their service. We see on here people talking about social media vendors, and i wont lie, only at the end of last year I got caught out in a credit card/bitcoin instagram/telegram fake dealer scam trying to get a VSF at a fraction of the price. it happens. If it's too good to be true, it is. Learn from my mistake and the mistake of so many people who come on here saying the exact same thing & just use any of the TDs, my collection had been made using three of them which are all in the TD list.

  1. it's the person not the rehaut polish

lesson 1 says buy what you like, and lesson 2 says dont buy a loupe, those are valid - but if you're 18 and trying to flex the very same DDF Black Ceramic AP, nobody is going to beleive it's real when you're getting into your small starter car, or even the bus. I have a pretty good job where even if I downgraded and bought a $350-$400 superclone where there are alignment issues and a rusty rehaut, it would still be believable.

  1. complications are fun but not functional

As you can see, I live life on the edge and have a chronograph or two & the infamous 5712. It's true what everyone says, the more complicated the rep movement, the more that can go wrong. You can have the chrono for show, but don't use it on a daily basis or expect any level of genuine timekeeping long term from the chronograph function.

Discussion ORF Seamaster 300M ordered—now the wait for QC!

Finally pulled the trigger on a black ORF Seamaster 300M with the free-sprung movement. Paid the $50 deposit and now waiting for QC. Pretty excited to get this one on the wrist!
Would love to hear from anyone who owns the newer ORF version. How’s it been keeping time, and how are you finding the overall finish and bracelet? Anything specific you wish you’d checked during QC?
Also planning to wear it on black rubber—keen to see some wrist shots if you’ve got one. Cheers!

Tech Tips/Advice Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600 43mm VSF

Sorry, I'm new to looking at watches, so apologies in advance for the newbie questions.

I would like to order the Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600 43mm VSF Black Ceramic 'Red Text' on SS Bracelet with the true VS3235 movement. Would anyone have tips or advice? Ive been suggested to but the QF Freesprung which is more expensive (around $650) but im told the VSF is cheper (around $550) but is batter quality. I've also reached out to 2 TDs from this page, and I'm told there are no VSFs available at the moment, and it could take a couple of months; both offered to take a $50 deposit and actively hunt them down.

1 - Is the VSF the better model?
2 - Is paying $50 deposit a normal request?

I have been able to find the Flamingo, Pink from ZF but cannot find a Tudor bumblebee. Hoping to find one. It’s probably difficult because these are 39mm and the usual chronograph is 41mm.

Let me know!

General Question Anyone else experiencing delayed shipping times right now?

I bought about 4 different reps from my TD and he handed them off to the postal service to be shipped on 9/28. Generally, it takes around a week to a week and a half to arrive once he ships out the package (at least that has been the case for my other 3 reps I ordered from him on separate individual occasions). My TD told me a day before he shipped it out that it is probably going to be delayed for a long time because 10/1 was the National Day of the People’s Republic of China. I’ve been checking the tracking like 2-3 days because I just get excited about my reps coming because I love them, but still have the same status since 9/28 which is “label created, UPS has not received the package yet” 😭

I was wondering if anyone else who might have placed an order around the same time i did is still experiencing the same types of issues right now? Lemme know! lol
