Facebook and Hurricane Isaias

Is it just me or is anyone else TIRED of seeing complaint after complaint every single day on these Facebook groups. People who take pictures of linemen and cable guys and talk about how they just "sit on their ass all day." The lack of empathy and the lack of comprehension that even a week and almost a half after a hurricane doesn't mean the whole city is just gonna go back to normal. It came through and did extensive damage. Like come on, everyone is trying their best here. To be honest the turnaround time for a lot of stuff has been pretty impressive.

And I'm specifically talking about both of the what's happening pensacola groups

Looking for an OB that can help manage my PMDD/perimenopause. Not by throwing an SSRI at it, but by actually helping me cope. Preferably a female. Thanks in advance!!

It was a funny sight. But really, the poor thing. That can’t be a nutritious meal. I hope he has an owner, or finds one soon.

Fiber and Spectrum

From what ive been told (which i dont believe at all and why we dont have estimates at all) is that were getting fiber installed and thats why its “taking so long that we cant confirm service restoration” for the areas of 9 mile and the pine forest area. Gotta love communication i guess.

Where to buy jeans for tall people?

Hello all, I hope everyone is doing okayish, given the circumstances. I'm generally a "dressed for work" or a "dressed for rest" person. Understandably I'm doing a bunch of yard work at home, and I'm real tired of my shins and calves being cut up by limbs and whatnot. Where can a certified "tall and wide" (high 40's low 50's waist with a 36 inseam) get jeans here? I know I can order online, but Id like something a little faster than the 2+weeks most places offer online. Thanks in advance.

SOB who don’t know how to drive!

I have never in my damn life seen so many people who drive below the speed limit in the left fucking lane! I’m not talking about going the speed limit or a little faster in the left lane. I’m talking about 510 miles an hour below the speed limit for no reason at all. And then to top it off, they get either just far enough ahead or behind the vehicle in the right lane and sync up and do the same damn speed so you can’t pass them. Not that I’m always in a hurry, because most of the time I’m not, but I am ready to get to where I want to go. For the love of God people left lane is for passing.

Haunted Houses

I’m looking for a decent haunted house in the area. I’m willing to drive a fair ways for a better experience.

I’m really trying to avoid the congo line experience. Where the haunt is a massive line and you see every scare 5 seconds before they try to scare you.

Roofing Estimates?

I know it’s a crazy time thanks to the hurricane damage. But what is a fair price for a shingle roof replacement for a 2000 sq ft home? Had a few estimates. But getting some wild price quotes right now.

Pet tag engraving?

Does anybody know if there are any Walmarts on the west side of Pensacola that have one of those pet tag engraving machines?

I know Petsmart and Petco have one, but I’d rather not drive all the way out there from Perdido if there’s one closer.

Grand Hotel Car Still Around

Is this car from another Grand Hotel? Why would there still be cars running? Unless they sold them and the new owners never took off the decal? This is the second one I've seen. Sorry for the bad photo.

How does one get AT&T or TMobile to run fiber lines into a neighborhood?

Hey neighbors, apparently we are all part of the "3%" of the down Spectrum (Cox) customers. I guess we all live in the same neighborhood!

My question is does anyone know how to get the other providers to dig and run Fiber lines in a neighborhood? I know there have signups to be notified once fiber is available, but is there anyway to directly request fiber to be installed so a neighborhood can receive fiber connectivity faster?

Unfortunately I can only receive over the air Internet from the other 2 providers and the tree coverage makes that not reliable.

Pensacola Beach Mediacom

Mediacom says we don’t have an outage, but we have an outage! One side of the street has it but the other side doesn’t. Mediacom is giving me a service date of 10/27! We have wires hanging off the pole!

Seeking info about UWF trails via Pate Rd.

I visited the trails shortly after the storm and of course found many downed trees and blocked off trails. I'm wondering if any of you might have info about any open volunteering that's been organizing to help clear the trails. I'd like to help out if that's possible. The trails are important to me and I would be happy to assist with some clearing.
