I wish i dodged the arrow.

I'm in the final stretch and grabs still give me issues. Unlike attacks with weapons it's not as clear when the grab actually connects with you, and often they have a weird timing where they start off slow and then suddenly lunge at you. This has cost me many restarts. Any tips or do I just have keep trying?

Been trying for 20 rounds . I managed to reach the 2nd but The bich is so hard to kill in the 2nd round. What to do.

Edit; Killed him 😭. 2nd round and 3rd round played only by dodging.

The boss fights in Way of the Sword are by far the most fun I've had in a game this year, and getting to replay them all on any difficulty level is such a great feature. It really increases the game's (lack of) replayability.

The one thing I'd hope they add is the ability to use items, since that was an integral part of the fights in the main game, and really helped you feel like you had a "build" of some sort.

Hopefully we get a DLC to add even more bosses to the roster.

If you're like me, who bought the game from a local store in the PH, and keeps getting errors such as Error Codes: 2183-0973, 2183-0063, 2183-0060, 2183-0973 while trying to download the ad on content for the game, this is what I did to succesdully download the ad on contents.

Step 1

Grab your phone and NSW2.

Step 2

On your NSW2, change your region to Hong Kong/ Taiwan. Can be found on System Settings/System/Region. You'll be prompted by a notice, select next. The system will restart.

Step 3

On your phone, go to nintendo website and log in to your account. Go to settings, tap on user information, and tap edit user information. Change the country / region of residence to Singapore.

Step 4

On your NSW2, go to nintendo eShop. Go to enter code which can be found on the bottom left side. Enter your code.

Step 5

The Ad Ons will be displayed. If you want what you'll get, the download the ad ons.

After many tries that caused me pain and suffering, was able to download the code. I don't want anyone to experience such heartache that I experienced. I hope this helps.

I’ve really been enjoying Onimusha: Way of the Sword, easily my GOTY. However, I’ve hit an absolute wall with the final boss…the three phases are just too much. I think in about thirty attempts, I’ve reached the second phase, five times, and the third phase, once?

I hate leaving games unfinished…but sadly, I’ve gone from, “I really enjoy this game” to “urgh, this is just boring now”…and I’m playing on Story Mode! But with a backlog, it’s time to move on!

Guess I’m just an unskilled pleb 🤣

I do wish Capcom had a little autosave after each phase…at least between the first and the second! (For story mode players who just want to enjoy the story and not get their arses handed to them!).

Anyone else had similar frustrations? Or have you all smashed this out like no one’s business? 🤣

Beat the game on carnage yesterday before bed. Peak. End of story. Time for a victory lap with the boss rematches and collecting the platinum trophy before PB0 next week.

Hardest boss: Third Ganryu fight due to his strange moveset.

Easiest: Dokyo since it is mainly running after her and dodge projectiles.

Favourite boss: Benkei. Just a fun fight and the cinematic before the fight is cool with Musashi sweating.

Seriously - I didn’t realise the skill gap between Action and Carnage

Replaying the boss fights and Greater Nue took me longer than I care to admit.

Replays feel harder too because you only have your Hozuki to rely on. No Mirrors, Amulet or Dried Hozuki or buffs to help

But Lordy…the fights are epic asf and I’m at last enjoying the difficulty adjustment now (I’m only Level 2 Clothing & Sword).

Been a while since I’ve met a good skill level for a fighting game

I’ve got phase 1 down pat. But every time I get to phase 2 I just can’t deal enough damage due to armor. How do you get rid of the armor fast?

I can't for the life of me get through Phase 2 of Shuten Doji. Too much shit going on on-screen. The goddamn fire damage where you have to hit "dodge" repeatedly to put out. The obscenely long stamina bar that takes forever to whittle down. The Oni bar takes too long to refill. I rather fight Greater Nue and Benkei than this bullshit-ass boss. I don't think I can go on any longer. It's a shame because I was waiting for a new Onimusha game. I just didn't expect it to be Onimusha Souls.

This game is kind of everything I wanted Ghost of Tsushima to be and better. Damn I love this game! Onimusha and Sekiro are now my favorite character action Feudal Japan titles.

These guys were a blast in action mode but in carnage mode they are a marathon of patience. They are super sturdy, what is the secret? Specially in the last third of the game.

Been threatening to draw Ganryu since the Demo came out and finally sat down today and did it.

I hadn’t planned on posting an obligatory post about beating Carnage. However after 3 runs and 147 hours in, I’m thrilled to have platinum it. Arguably one of the hardest games I’ve played in recent memory.

Contemplating doing a final run to really enjoy the Bishamon sword. I’m so glad to see the IP being revitalized and so well received.

My biggest complaint about the game is probably the environment and how npcs and mobs are just…around. In Eastern Kyoto, I could walk past a handful of civilians just sitting around and going about there day as if they were going through hard times, but the danger wasn’t exactly immediate. THEN, I’ll walk 5 feet ahead and there’s a patrol of Gemma walking around. It’s almost like the Gemma and humans coexist in eastern Kyoto with how close they are together. The only times they aren’t are scripted civilian rescue encounters

Another small thing that irked me was something in Kiyomizu dear. I defeated Benkei first encounter and took an archery quest for kiyomizu dera where i encountered a byakue and several genma. Immediately after, i took another quest where I had to coincidentally go back to kiyomizu dera, but this time, there’s a bunch of people just hanging inside of the temple, when its seemingly been deserted ever since the beginning of the game. This stuff just breaks my immersion honestly, though I’m still enjoying the game
