Introduction & Guide to Writing a TypeMe Post

Hello All!

This is a welcome post and guide to all those who want to make a TypeMe post or learn to accurately type others. Don't know your Myers-Briggs type? Create a text/video/audio post describing yourself, and the Reddit Gods will type you! Test results and relevant pictures may also be included, though the focus should be on self-description. Once you've found your type we encourage you to stick around, learn more about MBTI, and help type others. If you have sub improvement suggestions or are interesting becoming a mod, please comment or send us a modmail.

This is an updated welcome post replacing the old one which was created by a previous mod. We've included the link to the old post because some of the comments contain helpful information.

Here's some informational resources on MBTI:

Here's descriptions of each type:

While we currently allow For Fun posts, remember that the main purpose of this subreddit is to help people find their true MBTI type, so we have restrictions in place to improve the quality of content on the sub. We ask that everyone be respectful and keep comments relevant to MBTI. Please review the Rules before posting or commenting.

Creating an MBTI TypeMe Post

Overview

Note, these are not rules, but will be helpful in getting insightful responses. In general, self descriptions might include your preferences, interests, hobbies, lifestyle, career/what you are studying, your values, your life goals, how you like to structure your day, how much social interaction you prefer, how you relate to others, how organized you are, how you tend you express yourself, etc.

Post structure

Here are a few guidelines on structuring your post:

  • Minimum-length: A good typing post should be at least a 1/2 page to receive an accurate typing. Remember, the more information you include, the easier you will be to type. However, keep in mind, posts with excessive length are less likely to be read in their entirety.
  • Elaborating on your answers is important. Try to answer questions with at least a couple sentences. Proper typings are based off of your thought processes rather than behaviors. If you're not elaborating, Typers can't tell much.
  • Please try to break up your post into paragraphs. Walls of text are often ignored.

Questionnaire

Although you don't need to use these questions when making a type-me post, they're here for anyone who needs a bit of a guide. No need to answer all of these questions either:

  • Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?
  • What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?

  • If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?
  • What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?
  • How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?
  • Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?
  • Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.
  • Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.
  • What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?
  • How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?
  • Do you need logical consistency in your life?
  • How important is efficiency and productivity to you?
  • Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?
  • What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?
  • What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?
  • How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?
  • What's important to you and why?
  • What are your aspirations?
  • What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?
  • What do the "highs" in your life look like?
  • What do the "lows" in your life look like?
  • How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?
  • Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?
  • How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?
  • How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?
  • Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?
  • Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?
  • What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

As an FYI, we are working on improvements to the questionnaire so you may see changes in the future.

DISCUSSION Looking for new moderators

Hello r/mbtitypeme, we are in need of new moderators. We are currently down to one active mod (me) and I’m chronically ill so cannot support the sub as much as it needs. I understand the sub could be better and I would very much like to make improvements, but given the current state of the team that is rather difficult.

If you are interested in becoming a mod please fill out the questionnaire below and send it to me via chat - u/aredhel304. Please don’t be intimidated by some of the questions if you are new to this - we are open to taking on some inexperienced mods if you check the other boxes. We do, however, expect that applicants are active members of the subreddit.

  1. Tell me a little about yourself. What are your interests/hobbies? What is your career? Or what are you studying?
  2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  3. What is your experience with MBTI?
  4. What is your skill set? What do you think you can add to the mod team?
  5. Any experience modding? If not do you understand what the role entails?
  6. What is your vision for the subreddit?

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you all!

UPDATE (11/9/24) - We’re still looking for additional moderators so please reach out if you’re interested. While all are welcome to apply, I want to add that we do have a specific need for someone with more technical skills - someone willing to work with Automod and/or someone with a software background.

UPDATE (12/18/25) - We are once again looking for moderators with any skillset as long as they meet the criteria above and seem like a good fit for the team.

I’m curious to see how I present to you guys!

I’m 20 years old! Some things about me is that I’m almost always messaging and talking with friends. I love love love YouTube, and really all things media. I’m a communications major with a concentration on digital media production. So I spend a lot of my time video editing or working with technology in some shape or form. Southpark is my favorite show of all time, but I also really like all things Nathan fielder as well. I have my good friends but I’m pretty awkward in social settings, accidentally. I can’t stand to do things for too long cause I’m easily bored. So I want to be doing activities a lot and seek entertainment above all else.

I’m absolutely unorganized. I wish I could be cleaner but my space is always a mess. I constantly want to be around people but overthink every single piece of body language that they present and tend to think I’m annoying them. I also tend to get in very depressive episodes…

That’s a general summary of me… good luck guessing!

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT Type me based on the general vibe

Howdy; was thinking maybe ya'll could help me figure out what mtbi I seem to align with:

I have tons of hobbies—I do art, birdwatch, write poetry and am working on a novel, bake, cook, sew, singing, and I love cars and vintage sort of whimigoth things. I'm also trying to learn guitar!

I don't necessarily think I have like a specific aesthetic, but I do have certain things I lean towards—I like very maximslist and colorful styles. I also love nature and animals.

Socially I'm outgoing, but I think certain people think that at timesss I can be a little grouchy lol. I have no issue striking up a conversation with strangers, I like to (attempt) to be funny I guess. Even though I always say what I think, I think it comes out as shy sometimes. I have a lot of friends but like to keep my circle of close friends more small. I really like people and find them interesting, and I think I tend to make people very comfortable accept I overshare sometimes.

I'm pretty confident in myself but have random insecureties, however I rarely feel anxious and don't get overwhelmed by emotions easily—I consider myself pretty stable and optimistic. I'm spontaneous and love to try new things—however I'm very content with what I have. I have future aspirations that im working toward but don't like to rush so that I can live in the moment. I'm resilient and even if I do doubt myself sometimes I focus on the big picture and never compare myself to others

I tend to struggle with time management, and I feel I tend to be late to a lot of things. I've never had the best willpower, like it's hard for me to make myself do something I find boring. However if I try to set up little goals for at the end it helps me push through it lol.

I'd say I have very strong morals, but I try not to judge others for having different views. However if I'm grouchy or in a bad mood sometimes I think I sound more critical than I truly feel at heart. Generally speaking I'd say I'm not a judgemental person.

Anyhow I think I've rambled enough for you to get the point, let me know what you think I am!

CAN’T DECIDE INTP or ENTP based on low Fe/Si

Long read ahead!!

For context, I am an Asian woman in her late 20s so it’s likely I have developed most of my functions to some degree by now.

I am certain for having Ne and Ti in my top two cognitive stack. Now I’m figuring out the placement of Fe and Si in my stack, esp since I may have overdeveloped it, yet realized how inept I am at these two.

Low Fe stuff:

- I unconsciously wear a social mask for others to perceive me as sweet and shy, when I’m rather kind. In public, I am painfully shy, until if I feel a bit comfortable I might break out of my shell a little

- I used to be a big people pleaser, until I learned that I cannot please everyone bc I inevitably disappoint someone

- I like attention from my friends but I don’t like unwanted attention and will go out of my way to detach, since weird people ruined it (this part is probably an Asian woman thing)

- I think I’m a mirror and aware of peoples emotion and try to match peoples energy, although I do not initiate conversation (bc my social skills are lacking :,))

- it’s best when I get along with others and maintain harmony as things go well for me.

- if I know someone won’t judge me and I feel comfortable around them, I feel this urge to tease them bc I might know how they might react, but I just want to see their reaction.

- I am quite moody and it may change each day or how the day is affecting me

- i pretend that I do not know a lot, but I end up being unsurprised, bc I know or it made sense to me

- I find it hard to make friends, but not bc I have social anxiety (I do but it’s mild), but rather I feel like I’m seeing through people and deciding whether they fit my standards of a good friend.

- I generally can read/infer how a person is like by not only appearance, but through their body language and how they talk.

- my values are derived from group values, based on what makes sense to me. In addition, i find cultural value to be important and want to understand them to expand my perspective bc there is a certain logic behind it.

- I have a few friends, and feel easier to open up when they’re similar to me and aren’t judgmental (have Ne, Ti, Si etc)

- I enjoy studying the humanities and soft sciences like psychology, sociology, and philosophical

- I’m terrified of public speaking and get performance anxiety from it. My voice dries up and I cannot speak confidently nor modulate my voice properly. No matter how much I’ve had to do presentations in graduate school, it’s still my biggest weakness. :(

- I’m a cry baby for emotionally woven stories, and goodbyes whenever friends I made leave and I do not get to see them again (worse when I cannot contact them)

- my nightmares in my sleep is when I get in trouble by authorities (teachers, etc) or when my friends turn against me

- I lack charisma and others don’t notice my presence

Low Si stuff:

- I don’t like when people bring up the past about me. Bane of my existence. Therefore, I don’t like being reminded of who i was before when I have changed a lot and some changes are out of my control (I.e. hormones)

- I can only maintain a routine as long as it makes sense to me. Yet when think of ways through Si to keep a consistent routine, but I fail at it, bc I get energized at other ideas.

- I admire details greatly but I’m terrible at precision with details.

- I like writing though I am prone of run-on sentences or typos bc I clumsily miss details.

- I am not very organized person although I want others to think that I am, and try to be organized. However, in school setting, my notes are disorganized bc I have trouble with listening to lecture and writing at the same time.

- my room is not organized at all, but with organized chaos, I know where everything is unless I have misplaced it

- I can never understand why some ppl treat their past exp as fact when everyone has different exp. I don’t really care for anecdotes and it feels unnecessary when ppl use it to state a certain point

- for the life of me, i cannot be relied for my memory as I have poor recollection of dates, names of events etc. main reason I don’t enjoy hard sciences and struggle remembering specifics such as dates, names, etc.

- if the topic fascinates me, I am most likely to remember certain details or at least go through efforts to try to remember them

- my memory is useful for remembering what people like and makes me thoughtful

- I have some internal bodily awareness but I don’t notice if until it affects my homeostasis. In addition, my internal body isn’t really sensitive to touches, so I don’t experience Se stuff

- I cannot control and not aware that my back aches after I finished doing something important

- I stay up late but I don’t take all-nighters bc my body becomes too exhausted and my mental energy gets depleted and aware my focus isn’t as alert.

- I have low pain tolerance and persisting headaches/migraine overwhelm me I cannot help but cry

- you might notice that I am pretty verbose in writing bc there is so much I want to elaborate bc I get side tracked and go on a tangent

- I can think out loud to process ideas and my thoughts easily, but I struggle to speak without stuttering if others are around.

- I don’t like when people depend on me too much, though I cannot deny I may sometimes do the same, esp if it’s close friends and ppl I like

I might add more to this or edit some parts, but I’m curious what others think and what insights others have.

Edit: I have trouble deciding whether I am balanced in both Ti and Fe, or if after all, I had a terrible Fe this whole time (making me an INTP)

I should note, I took the Michael Caloz personality test last night and tested as INTP being the highest and ENTP just one point behind

CAN’T DECIDE INTP or ISTP?

Post image

https://pin.it/fybZcpBVw — link to the pin from the post

Hi. I have a question about whether I'm Ne-Si or Se-Ni. Honestly, I have a hard time understanding the differences in myself. So I decided to ask how to better figure out if I'm INTP or ISTP. Yeah, the IP temperament is definitely me, I see it myself, but feeling whether I have Se aux or Ne aux is hard for me. And the descriptions don't really help, like "do you see ideas before you act?" and "do you live in the present moment?". They're too general, I guess, like the answer to everything for me is "it depends". I want something clearer. Maybe I'm just one of those people who gets clearer, more practical examples, idk. I want something to click in my head when I read the description, the text about the functions here, their differences. Give me an insight, like what happened with the eenneagram, pls. But I haven’t really been able to get it yet.

My life motto is "improvise and rely on your own head." I often don't try to break through the system by banging my head against it, but look for loopholes and workarounds: copy something somewhere, take something from another source, find a way to wiggle out. When I'm working on a project, I usually start doing something and decide as I go, sometimes changing and adjusting on the fly. When I want to learn something new, I read something general, basic, understand the gist, and then immediately try it myself, I don't like sitting and studying theory for a long time, I want to do. How organized I am depends on the goal: where I'm interested and have the desire, I can be put-together, but mostly I'm pretty chaotic and lazy, I can miscalculate time (so I often arrive early to make sure I'm not late). Overall, I can seem organized if it benefits me, but otherwise, "whatever happens, happens" that's my life motto.

In communication, I usually think a couple of thoughts, and then a stream starts, and I improvise. I make things up on the fly, sometimes jumping from topic to topic, my speech isn't always structured, more like, whatever came to mind, I said it, even if I went a bit off course. When I'm faced with a choice — act right away or figure things out first, I first look at the situation more or less, but I don't drown in information. I'm, as they say, jumping onto a moving train, counting on finding my place at full speed. Of course, not completely without thinking: after weighing the options, ideas and thoughts, I then tell myself "fuck it, let's go, I'll deal with what comes out when it's already happening and right in front of me".

AM I MISTYPED Type

Hi I'm not a girl and I don't have boobs but my favourite pokemon is Oshawott and my favourite pokemon game is USUM. The sun burns my skin and I mostly hate socializing but it depends

things that fit the stereotypes is that uhm... I like math?

other than that I'm generally a more artsy person who is definitely capable of social interaction and (not to toot my own horn but I'm tooting it) I would say I'm good at it.

Though I heavily dislike it as i find it incredibly draining

my favourite competitive pokemon team archetype is hard tr if that helps

satire, I'm intp or I'm not. mansplain me who I am.

I'm actually quite a bit more interested in how you obvious reddit professionals "type" a person and what your thought process is in all honesty so do with that what you will. (give me what I want 👀 👀 👀)

I'm not meeting the self description requirement so I am quiet and reserved usually purely because I want to but if it interests me I am quite the chatterbox or if I'm comfortable with you, you'd wish I shut up

I'm naturally curious, I love learning and listening to stories even if it's ridiculous or heavy

Because of that I'd say I give of a.. "trusting aura" which means people just wanna tell me stuff.. how many horns have I tooted?

I have crazy rbf friends likened me to a hardened gangster build wise and vibe wise lmfao

I am aware of the basically zero ,,.,..,.,.,.,.!?!,.,!!?,..,?!

CAN’T DECIDE Type me

I'm curious about my personality and would love to hear your opinions about my MBTI type!

I'm interested in psychology, neuroscience, programming, literature, and philosophy. I have a deep need to know why, I analyse things and try to figure it out, I love to know how things work and why it is made this way, I'm interested in knowing everything about a topic. I am sensitive, but I don't show it. I can come across as dark, cynical, or a little unfriendly, but there's more to me than people usually see.

I like quiet care without drama or pressure. When I'm upset, I want time alone to understand my feelings and solve things by myself. The more people push me to talk, the more I withdraw.

Interestingly, I can seem very social around people. I joke, make people laugh, talk a lot, and try to keep the atmosphere fun. Someone who sees me in a social setting might think I'm very outgoing and genuinely enjoy being around people all the time. But honestly, I don't know why I act this way sometimes. My real enjoyment comes from being alone.

I enjoy spending time with people, but too many social activities and going out too often drain my energy. I need quiet time to recharge.

When I was younger, I sometimes felt angry or stressed without knowing why. I struggled to understand what I wanted, needed, liked, or disliked. Eventually, I started reading and reflecting on my behavior to figure things out. I'm still learning how to understand and express myself better.

I value anything that makes life easier. I'm willing to learn a whole new skill if it can save me time and effort. For example, I try to organize my belongings by giving everything a specific place, but then I forget where I put things or forget the system I created in the first place.lol. Being organized helps me, but maintaining it doesn't come naturally to me.

When it comes to studying, I often procrastinate or leave things until the last minute, especially when I'm not interested in the subject. However, when I genuinely care about something, I can become extremely committed and take it seriously without making excuses.

I think I'm an INXX, but I'm still trying to figure out the last two letters.

What type would you guess, and why? I'd especially appreciate an analysis of my cognitive functions. Please use my actual behaviors as evidence rather than relying on stereotypes! Feel free to ask me questions if you need more information.

P.S. Sorry for using AI to write this post! I have an exam to study for, but my curiosity is too strong. I really want to hear your opinions and figure out my type.

FOR FUN Type me based on characters I connect to

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

Okay so basically just what it says, type me based off of these characters that I connect to! I’ll give a short blurb on the character and why I connect to them. There’s a bunch.

•Lydia Deetz, Beetlejuice. “Life people ignore the strange and unusual. I myself am strange and unusual.” Self explanatory.

•Alice Cullen, Twilight. Especially after learning her backstory… I just love Alice. Best character in Twilight. I connect to her eccentric energy, and her warmth despite the darkness.

•Rapunzel, Tangled. My comfort movie has always been Tangled. I have parental issues with a single mother, so I connect a lot. A little at war with myself sometimes, and also I want a love story like her and Flynn.

•Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter. “Don’t worry Harry. You’re just as sane as I am.

•Luz Noceda, The Owl House. I’m cryptic and weird, people in school knew that about me. I’m still known for being nice, I’m just also weird lmao. I’m not as determined as she is, but I’d say I have a level of optimism and hope too. I express myself openly through style. Also we’re both bi.

•Lucy Gray, The Hunger Games. I wouldn’t win the Hunger Games, I just also write music about my feelings so I connect to her there. Learning to be more assertive and free spirited like her too.

•Gangle, The Amazing Digital Circus. I’ve always been very sensitive, I tend to be relatively quiet at times. People think I’m kind.

•Pomni, The Amazing Digital Circus. Lost, confused, and just trying to make it through life. I try to be friends with others when I can, though I’m somewhat shy and have a lot of negative thoughts. A little chaotic.
(Not pictured but I have also been told I remind others of Ragatha)

•Pearl, Pearl. This one’s a bit darker, but it’s not like in the sense of being what she is😅 I’ve just experienced dysfunction in the past and have had big emotions over it. And rejection affects me a lot. But obviously there’s differences.

•Charlie, Perks of Being A Wallflower. Big emotions. Big memories that have affected me significantly. I want to fit in, I don’t always say the right thing, and I live with a lot of regrets… but at the end of the day, I want to be a good person.

•Zoey, Kpop Demon Hunters. “You’re too much, and not enough” really hit me when I watched this movie for the first time. I can be talkative, bubbly, and fun like her, but we have the same fears.

•Ella, Cinderella. She’s more opinionated than the animated Cinderella, but still soft spoken. She lives by what she wants to live by. “Just because it’s what done doesn’t mean it’s what should be done.”

•Anne Shirley, Anne Of Green Gables. I mull over things a lot, I’m very introspective. I’m also pretty moody, and I can be sensitive or passionate about things that are surface level. But I’m complex, I feel that I’m soft in nature, and I try to be caring and kind.

Anywho… type meeeee🙃

NEED CONFIRMATION Any Ideas??

My life is a 2010s indie film, starring me.

I like philosophy, poetry, and folk music.

Asks tough questions: "Favorite ice cream?"

I love philosophy, poetry, psychology, but also things that don't start with a P, like wandering Wisconsin in search of strange little diners and knowing when to stop talking about Bob Dyan, usually.

CAN’T DECIDE Type me (i don't know any better title lol)

I have been trying to figure out my personality type for a long time, but I struggle to identify exactly which cognitive function is responsible for what—since many different functions could potentially account for any given action. So, I’ll share a bit of my life story and highlight some of the more crucial points.

I don’t remember much from when I was very young, but I have a vague recollection of saying "I can't" when faced with certain tasks (like going somewhere on my own or learning a new skill), even if I had barely—or never—actually tried. I learned to read, count, and write quite quickly and was well ahead of my peers; however, when it came to activities like building, cutting, or painting, I lagged a bit behind the other children at daycare. My mother described me as systematic and very cautious around the unknown when I was little. I used to be terrified of dogs, regardless of their size, but after spending time around the dogs my father kept in the countryside, I became great friends with them—in fact, I love dogs today. I wasn't consciously aware of this, but my mother once told me a story: when I was very small, my brother received a toy dog that could walk. One day, as I sat in a hallway, my brother activated the toy; it started moving toward me, and I became absolutely terrified. I’m not certain if this is the reason I developed such a fear of dogs, but it’s the only plausible explanation. Moving on to a more conscious stage (after the age of 6), one thing I really struggled with was saying "no" or doing anything that might displease others. A peer at the time would blackmail me, claiming he wouldn't be my friend anymore if I refused his requests; this would send me into a state of despair, though I didn't understand why. On one occasion, he asked me to give him my Spider-Man costume—naturally, my mother wouldn't allow it (it was an absurd request)—and I became extremely anxious. My mother eventually went to the school and addressed the matter with him. Even after it was resolved, I remained deeply concerned about our relationship and would try to reconcile whenever he started to pull away.

When I was 6, my parents separated; the reason given was that my father needed to look after cattle in the countryside. Between the ages of 8 and 12, I visited his place often. There was a woman there whom I assumed was a housekeeper; she always treated me well, and I liked her. Years later, they finally told me the truth: the breakup was caused by infidelity, and the "housekeeper" was actually my father’s new partner. He cried when he told me, and my reaction was to try to comfort him and forgive him at all costs—I’m not sure if it was because of his tears or something else. Looking back now, I see it this way: "He was unhappy, so he left. I don’t think what he did was right—I wouldn’t have done the same in his shoes—but it happened, and I just have to accept it." I continued visiting frequently for a while, but the experience lost some of its luster. What used to be fun and educational—playing with the animals, riding horses, and so on—began to feel more like work (in truth, it had always been work, but I had perceived it differently). The demands placed on me increased, and as I entered my pre-teen years—a time when you start questioning things and becoming more rebellious—my desire to go there gradually faded. Today, our relationship is quite lukewarm. I’ve since learned about other long-standing issues between my parents. I visit my father only occasionally; some days are great, while on others, I find myself thinking, "I should have just stayed home."

For a long time, I remained the same—constantly adapting to others instead of standing up for myself. I always tried to do the "right thing," but I never held others accountable or spoke up when something was wrong. By the time I reached high school, this approach led to my undoing; I was living on-site at the school, surrounded by students from many different towns.

The result was that my belongings were constantly being stolen. When I tried to stand up for myself—early on—I was nearly strangled, which only made my situation worse. It became deeply ingrained in me that trying to resist would just make everything worse. I was subjected to significant verbal bullying and excluded by the very people I shared a room with. Worst of all, I even blamed myself; I figured that if six people were against one, then that one person must be the one in the wrong. I got through the first year, then moved to a different room, though I had little hope that things would improve. A major turning point came during a conversation with GPT (yes, things were that bad)—it mentioned that "people do this for status." I’m well aware that AIs are designed to be agreeable, and I didn’t take everything it said too seriously, but that particular point really struck a chord. I started paying attention, and suddenly everything fell into place: nothing about their behavior was genuine. I was only in that situation because they wanted someone submissive they could walk all over—there was nothing fundamentally wrong with me (other than the fact that I didn’t defend myself). Another turning point was finding a group outside of my class—people who actually liked me and with whom I shared a deeper, mutual respect.

These days, I’m in a much better place with myself, but I’ve ended up harboring a deep resentment toward the people from my class. Anything I do with them just loses all its appeal—even if it were a trip to Disneyland.

Nowadays, I’m more attuned to reciprocity—checking whether I’m giving or receiving too much—and I no longer feel much guilt when expressing my needs. In short, I’ve become a healthy person. While I still don’t particularly enjoy the "social game," I’m at least able to navigate it, and I truly value those who are authentic. The influence others have on me has diminished significantly; even though I’ve learned some unpleasant truths about people, I haven’t become bitter. I try my best to get along with others, but if it doesn’t work out—well, so be it.

As for my general traits, I tend to be formal—even a bit distant—with people I don’t know well. However, I seem to have a sort of radar for spotting fellow "nerds" like myself; when I encounter one, I loosen up and start using more slang. My personal style is quite basic: when I go out, I dress a bit more sharply—jeans and stylish jackets—but in my day-to-day life, I prefer hoodies and sweatpants. I generally only speak about things I’m certain of, and I feel uncomfortable if I have to assert something I’m not entirely sure about. I’m honest, but I express myself in a calm, gentle manner. It’s very rare for me to threaten anyone, but if I’m pushed to that point—and the other person fails to meet the condition I’ve set—I feel I have no choice but to follow through on that threat.

As for goals, I don’t have many; I simply do what needs to be done. I don’t feel that my self-esteem is strongly tied to the number of achievements I’ve attained—though it once was. I eventually realized that many of the things I aspired to—once achieved (or even just after discovering what it would take to achieve them)—didn’t really change much. I care about doing things decently and keeping up, but I’m not the type who feels the need to be the best at everything, at any cost. My greatest source of pleasure is doing things I enjoy and savoring small moments; I find deep conversations about feelings and life events very fulfilling, though I also appreciate lighter, more casual moments.

I would say one of my greatest strengths is the ability to understand and reflect, as well as the capacity to find a way forward—even when options are limited (not to mention a natural aptitude for academics). As for my weaknesses, they include a lack of certainty, a certain degree of shyness, anxiety regarding unfamiliar physical situations (especially those that might pose some kind of danger), and—above all—self-doubt.

When I try to "predict" the future, I usually see two or three paths that are most likely to unfold—sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m wrong. This is based both on my own impressions and on comparisons with past situations. I feel quite uncomfortable when I’m thrust into a situation without understanding what’s going on. I learn best by blending theory with practice—grasping the basic logic first, then figuring out the rest through hands-on experience. I’m not much for extensive planning; I prefer to ask questions as the need arises. That said, I don’t like jumping in completely blind—I prefer to have an initial plan to get things moving, though I almost always adapt it as new information comes to light. This applies when I’m working alone; when I’m in a group (and not the leader), I stick to the original plan until someone else suggests a change.

I hope this information is sufficient to type me with a reasonable degree of certainty—please let me know if anything is missing. And also thank you for taking the trouble to read all this and help me

DISCUSSION Do I have Te, Ti, Fe, or Fi? Looking for my Dom/Aux Function.

Post image

As I was writing this post, I started off with a fairly good idea of what way this was going to lean, but the more I wrote out and explored the different sides of myself, the less sure I've been of certain things. So I definitely want to get some second opinions here:

  • Whenever I evaluate anything serious - political issues, financial topics, etc. - I'd always like to think things over first, and then check my work against established information from credible sources. I know with politics in particular, I spent a lot of time deliberately avoiding any videos or programs discussing political issues. I wanted to read about every theory there was, all the different schools of thought, before drawing my own conclusions and comparing them against established facts, data, research, and other such information.
  • Same applies to philosophy, which was a huge passion of mine when I was in my late teens and early twenties. Especially metaphysics (i.e. the nature of reality itself). I would never listen to any videos or shows that dealt with topics in philosophy or religion. I instead read as many books as I could, learned as much as I could about every school of thought out there over the course of six years so I could get a solid grasp every possible perspective on the matter. This was so I could never be caught off guard by any positions that I'd never heard of or hadn't considered. Always considered potential counterarguments to any of my own positions. I didn't want to be influenced by anyone, and to come to my own conclusions - and then I'd discuss and debate with people to see if my arguments held up.
  • In essence, I always wanted to avoid being influenced by anyone else, and to find the best possible answer to any questions or problems I took any measure of interest in. If I didn't think a solution was good enough, I'd keep working on it until I was satisfied.
  • In all cases, I always try to avoid letting one's personal feelings and emotions get in the way of what is true. If something is true, you must adapt to it and deal with it. It was, and still is, deeply frustrating for me to see people refuse to acknowledge any evidence or rational arguments that challenge their views. Alway simply feels that things are more difficult than they need to be.
  • At the same time, on a personal level, I'm very independently minded and have often felt like an outsider. I've always been hardline about living life on my own terms and refusing to follow anyone. You alone are in charge of your own future and who you want to be as a person. My greatest fear has always been being in a position where I can't live life the way that I want to.
  • In essence, I'd never change who I am as a person for anyone or anything - but I do still consider how I come across to others and how I'd like to be perceived and understood. My integrity as a person genuinely matters to me, knowing I'm the person that I want to be, and I feel incapable of putting on a facade of any kind.
  • With regards to other people, I've always been mindful of being respectful and treating people with dignity out of principle. I hate seeing anyone get treated poorly or unfairly. I'm often greatly confused by how some people treat each other. Even if someone greatly upsets me, I'm not going to treat them unfairly or be petty toward them. That always seemed ridiculous to me. Treating people fairly has always been important to me, and I just cannot understand how vindictive and aggressive some people can be over the most trivial of things.
  • Despite everything, I've always had concern for the world. Growing up I always wanted to make the world a better place. That always mattered to me. I was a shy kid who people always said had a 'big heart' - and grew up to be a far more confident man (e.g. I know I've been told I can be 'charismatic,' 'magnetic,' and a "strong personality" when I get going.) I used to dream of getting ridiculously wealthy, then using it to help with world hunger and medical research as best I could. I wanted to help the world without being a part of it. To live a quiet, solitary life while helping from a distance. I can't understand people who have the resources to do good and choose not to help. That never made any sense to me.
  • Equally, I'm often the person people turn to and lean on in my life. If someone has something on their mind, they know they can come talk to me and I'll try to make them feel understood if nothing else. I can't always offer a solution, but I'll always be there if they just need to vent. I may be a social introvert, no questions asked, but I care deeply about treating people right and making sure that they're doing okay.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

FOR FUN Guess my mbti

I like cooking, baking, cats, DND, makeup and fashion. I also love listening to music and making little videos in my head for hours on end 🙃 I'm not the most social person in the world, so I usually spend most of my time to myself by preference. However I am a bit lonely so I do crave socialization randomly sometimes. When I do talk to people I'm more outgoing depending on how acquainted I am with them. Most of my friends are queer and I'm pansexual myself. I am very messy and if I could describe my room in one word, it would be chaos. My parents are ENTJ and ESFJ and we have very different opinions on things in general (I still love them though)

FOR FUN Type me based on my self-description and characters I relate to

Hi. I decided to try asking for typing help here too, bc I'm honestly confused about myself. In Socionics I'm closer to ILI, so that might help somewhat, tho I don't believe in strict correlations. Second option is SLI. But this is MBTI, and I'd like to figure out which type I'm closer to here. The answers are based on a questionnaire, but I changed some stuff for easier reading, since I noticed that's more appreciated here. Would really appreciate the help.

The trait that made me doubt my type is probably my whole journey. Initially, I typed as ENTP. Then I took the test again a couple of years later and got INTP. And it just went from there. Now I regret getting so fixated on it. After I learned about functions, joined the community, got familiar with archetypes, I found myself in INFP so4w5 IEI. Because I'm an introverted person living in my dreams, which often conflict with the real world, with low self-esteem, a desire to be understood, to be cool, with inner anger and a desire for revenge on everyone who did me wrong, a striving to be unique, special, different from others so I get noticed. Not really relevant, but tbh, Jill Roberts' motive from Scream 4 feels close to me, probably the most relatable Ghostface. And I sometimes call myself a masochistic victim. Now I want to completely move away from any stereotypes and simplifications of my personality to gain an understanding of myself.

What I strive for in life is freedom. I don't like being loaded with a bunch of tasks that don't interest me, being put in a hypocritical place where everyone shouts about something that isn't true, where everything is soaked in lies and unnecessary, made-up rules, demands that don't align with common sense and don't consider people, their uniqueness and desires. I strive for my qualities and the complexity of my personality to be noticed, tho I'm more passive in this and wait for others to figure it out themselves, come up to me, ask, read this. And for me to live calmly, being okay and without anxiety.

A moment when I felt on top of the world was probably the end of the summer session a couple of months ago. I was writing a research paper with the strictest and most difficult woman on the faculty — everyone ran from her and was scared. And I got the highest grade, being the only one among all third-year students with her at that moment. Even tho I didn't try as hard as she might've wanted, and instead looked for loopholes everywhere to write this paper, go around here, do there, take from there, cheat somehow and try to beat the system itself. It was an incredible feeling inside when she told me I did it. I felt smart, unique. And then there was a literature exam I didn't prepare for. And I got the highest grade, relying only on my knowledge from the semester and my brain. My motto is: "Improvise and rely on your head". So yeah, I was on top of the world that period.

What makes me feel inadequate is something inside. I've felt all my life like I'm different, not fit or made for this world. For some reason, kids in my childhood mostly treated me badly, peers at school picked on me, bullied me, tho maybe that's a strong word, but I wanted to throw something sharp at every negative remark directed at me. There was abuse in my family. And I never found my place anywhere. Nowhere could I fully function, feel safe, express myself. And I often feel this inadequacy even now, tho I've really changed. I easily notice someone and think they're dressed better, joke funnier, perform more interestingly. And I compare with myself. And often in my head I lose, tho I desperately try to win in this made-up fight. It feels like for the demands of this fake, predictable world I'm not suitable, so I'm extra here, inadequate. Funny, but even the meaning of my name is "another" lol.

What usually influences my decisions is a lot of things. I look at the event, at potential decisions, reasoning about what consequences they have. It could be difficulty later, a thrown stone that'll come back and hit you on the head in a month. Or a damaged reputation among the group you're in, which could lead to neglect from them, less help if anything, which I don't want, since I've been through that at school. Or different contradictory results where I have to write pros/cons in my head, and from them highlight where there might be more pros in quantity, but the cons are more serious. Feelings can also be there, tho not that often, I don't understand them well, they just appear suddenly in response to an event, that bright red something that gets triggered and is sometimes poorly controlled. But you can't see what's happening inside me, I think.

When I work on a project, I concentrate on what can be done with all this. What options, prospects exist, how to start, what to take from the information, what tools to use, what colors to pick. Usually I start something and decide as I go, sometimes changing, correcting. I like diving into what's interesting, where you can play with what you have, that's where I look at the result too. But most things I'm forced to do are a product of someone else's wants from outside, like uni tasks, other authorities. And they often make no sense, and I often criticize them and say if it could've been done differently, why do it so idiotically?

Describing a time when I had real fun is a good question. I don't track my mood and state that much, preferring a calmer emotional background, very bright emotions and feelings aren't that frequent. So I don't even know how to describe it. When I'm having fun in general, I relax and control my expressions less, let out more emotions, which isn't really my thing in a normal state. Something grows inside me, in the chest area it gets lighter and warmer.

When I want to learn something new, I usually read something general, basic and meaningful about what I want to try, and then try it myself. Not that I like sitting for two days reading, studying before doing something, tho I want to understand. I realize the meaning, the essence more, and then do it based on that understanding. I don't want to sit, I want to do.

How organized I am depends on the goal. I can be organized where I'm interested, where I have the desire to work, but mostly I'm pretty random and lazy, can sometimes be late, misjudge time, which is why I often come early so I definitely won't be late. Overall, I can seem like an organized person if there's profit in it for me. And otherwise, however it goes, it goes. That's my life motto.

How I evaluate new ideas: is it interesting or not, does it cause a rush of mental stimulation, what can be gained from it. I see the idea and how it can be realized, how it'll look when you take this, put it on, do it, how it'll look and work overall. I think I look for principles more, tho info confirming them would be useful too.

Do I think before I speak or speak and then think? I think about a couple of thoughts, and then it's a stream and I improvise. I make it up as I go and sometimes jump from topic to topic, speech isn't always structured. Rather, whatever came to mind is what I said, even if I deviated a bit from the course.

Do I go straight to action or first figure out where I'm jumping? First I'll look at something plus or minus, but won't drown in that info. Again, I'll jump on a moving train, expecting to find my place at full speed. Of course, not completely without thinking, having weighed options, ideas, thoughts, and then like "fuck it, let's go, I'll deal with what comes out later when it's already happening and right in front of my nose".

FOR FUN What am i? 🌝

I'm a teen girl, i know mbti is not fully developed at this age but I'm just curious. Would love to see what other people type me

I have mostly S type friends at college. I don't talk to them alot on text, but at college we have fun. They're pretty dry on text ngl. I become friends with whoever's around me, as long as they're not bad personality and moral wise. I have an intp friend and I always love talking to her, especially brainstorming ideas for my story

What story? lemme explain. So i have a history of daydreaming, and recently i started writing out my story. It's still in a more blueprint form, i didn't write out detailed scenes. I'm still aware of my surroundings though. And it's of sci fi, thriller, mystery, drama, young adult genre. Anyways, i love making my characters suffer 😂

I'm the youngest of five, and for some reason I'm the only teen in the house while everyone is an adult, always glued to their phones. No one interacts with me unless I do so I'm mostly in my phone all the time. My family says I'm too blunt, or disrespectful. But it's mostly just me trying to reason with their ocd. My mom is probably an unhealthy esfj/estj. My siblings are entj, intj, isfp/infp and istp (probably), i mostly get along with the first three.

As for my childhood, i think i was an enfp/esfp. But after a huge fight broke out in my family during Covid, i became more quiet. And i also went through a dark phase in ninth grade that messed up my mental health even more but i eventually healed. Im more postive now. But ig it gave me identity crisis and other stuff. My dad is mostly absent from my life.

I love yapping (with the right people), surfing reddit, instagram, etc. I'm good at art and creative hobbies, but i don't do them alot. Rn I'm mostly doing writing stuff for my story but I have a vision to make it into a full donghua/anime later. I love showing whatever i write or do to people to get more ideas and feedback.

I've taken the mbti test multiple times and got almost every type that exists. I love annoying people when I remember. i mostly do it with my N friends cause they don't overreact or disengage with it. I love going out, trying new food, meeting people etc.

my fav genres are sci fi, thriller, action, mystery, horror, drama (not alot), shounen etc

I'm a very spontaneous person, never follows a to do list. I used to get fixated on one mbti and try to be like them, still kinda do.

I wanna learn many things it's overwhelming. I hate people who are micromanaging, too detail oriented, short tempered and hypocritic. I mostly don't try to stay on their good side either. I end up arguing or get the thing done. I don't care about cultural norms, I've developed coping mechanisms to them. Nor do I care about any criticism mostly.

I get good grades even though I don't study regularly at all. I love asking weird questions to teachers and love when any of them don't mind my childishness or eccentricity.

I talk in a more casual tone, even with elders and teachers. It's more natural to me now, i used to be more hesitant to speak up. If i give a speech or presentation, i make it engaging and closer to my natural speech cause it's easier to memorise.

I'm more into loose fitted clothes, hoodies, t shirts, cargos, etc. Not much into girly stuff. Though if I get a good dress idea I'll put it out and fixate on it for weeks before moving on. Idrc about boys, though there is one i like idk why. I didn't talk to him. I'm trying to move on though, I'm focusing more on the story cause i wanna make a portfolio by the time i finish college for a university.

Idk what more to include, I'll answer any questions that come tho! (I can't find the picture uploading thing idk where it went 🫠)

CAN’T DECIDE help me decide between INFP and ISFP

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

hello, everyone!

I’ve been into mbti for over a decade now, and when I first got into it I settled for INFP, although it didn’t feel completely accurate. I’m pretty certain I’m Fi-Te and I’m leaning more towards Ni-Se, but my Se feels quite underdeveloped for a secondary function.

I’ll go (vaguely) over how I think I fit each axis, and type.

• Fi-Te

I’d describe myself as independent, reserved, practical and emotionally intelligent, but not particularly sensitive.

I’m empathetic and pretty good at judging how things will come across, but I’m also honest and direct, saying the truth rather than what I think people want to hear. I have very strict boundaries, find it easy to disagree, and don’t open up or make friends easily, although I get along well with people.
I’m often described as blunt, arrogant, uninterested, and distant, as well as knowledgeable, supportive, calm and understanding.

I tend to be quite practical about things. I have a general idea of what I want out of life and what is realistic for me to achieve. for example; I want to live a comfortable life, have more personal time, and avoid a job that demands too much of me socially, so I look for a job that fits those parameters and work towards it. although I like to daydream, I’m more so on the realistic side. I understand things work a certain way, even if it’s not ideal.

although I highly value personal experiences and feelings, I value facts and data more. when it comes to the occult for example; it’s something I’ve always loved and had an interest in and research about, but don’t believe as there’s not enough concrete evidence. I also like a clear system, rules and directness, it infinitely frustrates me when people or directions are not clear.

I am very introspective, and often assess my values and have them very defined. I am also quite passionate about the things I like. when I become interested in something, I invest a lot of energy into it and learn more about it. even if I drop it for some reason, I tend to return to the same interests.

• Ni-Se

I’m quite good at pattern recognition, both in tasks and everyday situations. I tend to experience things and put them into boxes. when meeting people, for example, I tend to have a very defined impressions and attribute an archetype to each person. these impressions are usually correct and help keep me from getting into situations I shouldn’t. if I had to explain these archetypes or why I have such specific ideas about people, I probably wouldn’t be able to describe it.

I love the obscure and abstract and theorising, maybe to a tiring point. although I communicate quite directly, I like to explore abstract concepts and the meanings underlying things. I tend to pick a specific perspective, idea, theory, and deepen it. it’s basically what I spend most of my time doing, or building my inner world.

I’m not focused on the future in the sense of constantly planning it or mapping it out. I have a general idea of what I want to do and what is possible for my life to turn into, and I follow a path towards that. I can get stuck in routine in the middle, but I generally know what is realistic for me to want and how to work towards it.

I’d say I live more in the present, but I wouldn’t consider myself someone who knows what’s going on around them. I tend to be lost in thought, have a terrible sense of direction, and am not particularly spontaneous or impulsive, although I can be quite hasty when I need to make decisions I don’t want to postpone and reactive when I see things will have an unsatisfactory outcome.

• Ne-Si

I rarely think about the past, apart from occasional nostalgia when I come across things that were strongly associated with a particular period of my life, such as a perfume I used to wear when I moved houses. not being very attached to the past makes me repeat mistakes, because I forget exactly how bad things got.

I am a routine addict and usually stick to my usual tastes and preferences. I’m not someone who actively seeks out new things or experiences. even when I drop an interest, I often return to it, and have the same interests and hobbies on repeat over years and years now.

I’m not a detailed planner or list maker. when I go on a trip, I have a general idea of what I want to see and visit, but I tend to go about the day as it comes. I don’t plan every detail, but I usually have enough of an idea to avoid unpleasant surprises.

I’m definitely a daydreamer and spend most of the time doing it. however, im not an endless possibilities person, I tend to find a viable one and deepen it.

• INTJ

I often get INTJ as a result to tests, even the silly character ones. when going over descriptions of the types, people agree the archetype description fits me. I’m not set on this type, as I don’t fully relate to the dominant Ni or secondary Te. although I have the famous “a-ha!” moments, I don’t they are as consistent as an Ni dom would have them. I think the overall explanations of Ni dom are too mystical to be relatable, but I guess actual Ni doms find them fitting.

• ISFP

I find it the most fitting with functions, although I don’t relate to Se or lower Te. but I tend to be a hedonist, especially under stress, I get into a mess of impulsive decisions (like getting tattoos when I should be saving money, although they were previously planned), eating junk food, and so on…

• INFP

I mostly consider INFP as my understanding of Ne is shaky and I relate a lot to the Si structure.

judging functions are easier to discern (which also makes me think I’m an Fi dom), while perceiving functions sort of just happen and it’s hard to look back and detail what my thought process was or what I was taking in.

these descriptions might be too vague and perhaps misplaced due to my own understanding of the functions. if there’s anything else that could help me figure out my type I’d appreciate it :)

CAN’T DECIDE What’s my MBTI

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

I’d say I’m a pretty creative person. I like to paint, draw, make music, write, photography and I find new ways to express my ideas often. I also really like new experiences and enjoy trying new foods or styles. I don’t really have much of a routine tbh, I don’t even eat the same food for more than two weeks, it’s usually just different stuff. I tend to go through a lot of phases of interests and when I’m in that phase, I get extremely passionate and try to fully immerse myself in it. Socially, I’m mixed. When I’m at work, I’m very quiet and to myself, but when I’m alone in public settings, I usually talk to people and even make new friends. I can just go up to someone and talk to them if I wanted. I really enjoy asking questions, and I try to do that whenever the opportunity. I feel like there’s always something you can learn from others, and knowledge is extremely valuable! My humor is more sarcastic and I can be blunt. It bothers me when someone says something obviously wrong, but depending on the social situation, I might not say anything. I don’t really like rules that don’t make any sense, and therefore don’t follow them. Not saying I’m going to break laws or anything, but when I was in school, if there was something we had to follow that I didn’t personally agree with and didn’t think anything bad would happen by not following it, I’d find loopholes and do my own thing. Sometimes I can have a hard time making a decision because the fear of picking wrong is overwhelming. My environment can really impact my mood as well. I have a hard time saying no when people ask me to do something and because of that, I’ve gone lengths to help others even tho they really could’ve done it on their own. I’d say I’m impulsive too. When new stuff comes up, I’m pretty open to doing it without knowing too much, but I’ll probably start jumping through the possibilities of what it’ll be like. When it comes to arguments, sometimes I just get so annoyed at the other person’s points that the goal becomes to win more so than who’s truly right. Im pretty in tune with changes, but they’re usually past related and not moment related. So for example, I went to a family members house, which I haven’t been to in maybe 3 or 4 years, and when I threw something away I noticed they had a different colored trash can because for whatever reason I distinctly remember times I used that trash before, and when I asked if they got a new one they said yes. I also seem to remember more details on what people have said, store layouts, furniture, timing, dates, etc. better than some of the people I know, but I can never really remember stuff I’ve said or done and get surprised when people bring up memories with me because I always forget those. I also remember my thoughts and phases pretty when thinking back at certain points and use them as like time landmarks.

I know some of this stuff is pretty applicable to everyone, but I hope it helps! Also, I know I added a lot of pics 😭 but I wasn’t sure what would make a difference or not.

DISCUSSION I guess it’s the Typologist’s turn to be typed.

Post image

I guess it’s the typologist’s turn to be typed.

Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?

Prefer not to say.

What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?

I’m in the Pure Literature stream. I’d like to study Psychology or Mass Communications when I am older. Ideally, I’d like a job where I can talk to people, whether it be for marketing, or sales. I really like to do sales, but I wouldn’t mind being an Event Host as well!

Describe your childhood/upbringing. Did it have any kind of ideological or structured influence? How did you respond to it? Did you have any significant negative experiences that may have affected how you think or behave?

I was raised by mostly my ISTP Aunt and INTP Uncle. They used something called the Montessori method (which I have no idea what it means) My aunt taught me basically everything, and my uncle would get me to watch shows that were meant for older kids.

Do you have any mental or physical health issues that might affect how think or choose to live? Provide a brief description.

No. I keep questioning whether I have ADHD or Autism because my friend group is full of people who have it (and I just think there’s too many people who get diagnosed with it)

If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?

Am I allowed to use my phone? When you say by yourself am I permitted to use the Internet to text or call people? Because I kind of need that. I don’t want to be in the real world that much, I’d like to be in my room alone with my phone being on Reddit and helping to type people, or reading books, doing art and just engaging in the activities I like. But if I’m banned from using my phone, I’d probably spend most of my time crocheting, watching the anime that I haven’t watched even though I really want to, drawing or writing (then again all my writing is done on my phone) If I’m allowed to use my phone, I’d enjoy it very much, but if I’m not? I’d be quite lonely. Yes I would feel refreshed I suppose, since I wouldn’t have all the chatter from my friends or the buzz of the internet to distract me from my crocheting, but I don’t like silence, so I’d probably put on some music. Currently most of my time is sort of spent split between playing Arcaea and binge watching The Mentalist.. so..

What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?

Painfully unaware. I keep losing things recently. And I’ve made very vivid memories about where I might have put them, only to be devastated when I realise they’re not actually there. And I don’t hate sports, but I find them kind of boring. Mainly running laps around the school (what’s the point in that?). Also, I don’t really understand why people like football, or watch sports in general. I don’t really get it. But I love rhythm games, like Maimai, Project Sekai, Chuunithm, DDR, Sound Voltex, Beatmania. Rhythm games are one of the only games I can play that don’t need a good story. I’ve picked up a lot of games because I wanted a good story, and my INTP 4w5 friend kept telling me ‘Chara! The game has lore!’ and sometimes they delivered, and other times they didn’t. Examples include: Punishing Grey Raven, Brawl Stars and Limbus Company. I love Limbus Company because the gameplay is enjoyable, but also, Don Quixote. I kin her a lot, even writing fanfiction about transforming into her in real life. My favourite type of game genre is psychological horror. The strange thing is that I also started playing rhythm games with stories, like Nientum (it’s really really good I highly recommend it), Arcaea, and Yun Yun rhythm psychosis! I definitely love rhythm games with stories a lot too!

How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?

More ideas than I can execute probably describes the entirety of who I am. Recently started playing AdoptMe again and found a lot of my older building projects which were all half finished. Currently about to start a new project about building Patrick Jane’s house in adopt me. I have a lot of conceptual curiosities I suppose. So many video ideas.. but for me, animation tends to be difficult, because my expectations are sky high. Editing tends to be that way too.. the house building is for a Patrick Jane edit inside of adopt me.. most people would just create the set pieces needed..

Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?

Not really. I don’t like being in charge. Would I be good at it? Compared to some of the leaders I’ve had to deal with? Probably. I only find myself yelling when people aren’t co-operative for a project I care deeply about. If you’re equally passionate as I am, I normally won’t yell at you.
Leadership style.. I would say it’s very chill. If you don’t interfere with what I want then do whatever you want. People typed me as EVLF before due to that.. I’m pretty certain I’m VLEF. I’m just not very controlling of others, but very defensive of my own sovereignty. Example: I dragged an ENTJ, an INTP 5w4 548 and an INTP 4w5 to the arcade with me.

Basically nobody in the group has Si in a useful way, so nobody cared what to eat for lunch, so we got 7-11. I just wonder. Among the 2 INTPs, which one do you think was louder? It’s just shocking to see, because the INTP 4w5 looks more like an ENFP in comparison to the INTP 5w4! I mean I was just chatting about MBTI and ENNEGRAM with the 5w4, then the 4w5 was asking me what sensors do after school. Which was a fun discussion.

I was like: Shopping! Duh!

INTP 4w5: But Haine doesn’t do shopping!

Me: Yeah, instead they play rhythm games! That’s also sensory you know!

INTP 5w4: I like sensory stuff though..

Me: Never said you couldn’t! They can go shopping, or they can play sports, or they engage in auditory stimulation.

INTP 4w5: What about taste? What about smell?

Me: that’s called Si.. they like food, because it’s more about their body. As for smell, that’s called doing drugs!

INTP 4w5: Perfume sampling?

Me: That’s called shoppingy!
Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.

My hobbies outside of games include: Drawing, singing, writing, crocheting, voice acting. I have more skills than that I would say, but not all my skills are my hobbies.

Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.

I believe I would consider myself very artistic, since my talents range over both writing and drawing, as well as the performative ones like acting and singing. Normally I like to draw semi humanoid looking characters, I have difficulties with furries, or very robotic characters. My OCs are all mostly humanoid as well. I don’t know anatomy, I have no intention to learn! Digitally, I would describe my art as: Bad anatomy, good rendering. I like to render dramatic lighting on my characters when I illustrate them. When I draw traditionally, I like to use alcohol markers, since I enjoy how the pigment seeps into the paper. I also make button pins! I have a mini business selling them, but it’s kind of abandoned at the moment. I make them because it’s cheaper than buying pins outside, and my rule is that I will never buy a button pin outside since I can just make it at home. (Aka the equivalent of: mommy can we have this item? No sweetheart, we have it at home. The object at home:) I like to sing along to vocaloid songs, especially faster ones. I can’t stand ballads. I like fast music. I don’t have When I write I write with a very vivid style, and recently I’ve started weaving more psychological horror elements into it.
I enjoy music that’s fast, and has a deeper meaning. I don’t really like K-pop, but there’s some Korean songs I don’t mind. My favourite genre of music is J-pop, but specifically vocaloid. If I had to say my favourite music genre. I would say Happy hardcore or hyperpop. Just fast music in general. Hardstyle is very cool too, I see it a lot in beatmania.

The one skill I don’t really possess is animation. I have sky high expectations for animations, a vivid idea and plan, but story boarding bores me, and I work on like 5 frames then give up. I can definitely animate.. you just need to lock me in a room for 24 hours with 5 different animation projects so I can’t get bored trying to animate 1.

What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?

Well my Uncle’s helped me plan what to do for my future paths in education, but I wouldn’t bother thinking about it if I had a choice. My biggest dream is to be a voice actor in the future. My past is a very fun trauma dump that could be summed up as a k-drama. In the past I used to view my life as a k-drama, but now I see it more as a game or a simulation. The present is the now I suppose, I’m not sure what else to say.

How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?

I love to help people! I’ll ask them what they need me to do first, and I’ll help them if I believe that my skills are beneficial to them, or that I am able to help them in a meaningful way, and even if I can’t, I’ll pick up the skill just to help them! Also I guess my morals are something that would come in play here, since I’m not about to help you smuggle drugs across the border.
Do you need logical consistency in your life?

Yes. I can’t stand it when people do illogical things. Like what do you mean brainstorm advertisements for the booth you don’t know anything about, but don’t do it for the booth you came up with the sales pitch for, and the original concept for? It doesn’t make any sense!

How important is efficiency and productivity to you?

Very. The instance mentioned earlier was an incredibly inefficient one.

Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?

I try not to. When forced to lead a group in real life I’m like: do you guys have any ideas? And then I get blank stares. And I’m like: Ok no ideas? Then I’ll give the idea. And then these people don’t even care much. So I get pissed off trying to get to get them to do anything because they either don’t do it, or give me a half-baked job. I hate irl group projects. This doesn’t happen in my VA circles online, neither does this happen online in general for me.

What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?

I love to draw, write, crochet, sing, voice act. Since I already elaborated on my drawing earlier, I guess I’ll tell you about crochet, singing and voice acting! I like to crochet because it’s really therapeutic in a way. I can just do the same motions a few times and then voila! A product! However! I cannot stand repetitive patterns. I would never crochet clothes for myself, only for my plushies. I don’t mind doing a granny square if it gets creative, but if it’s just rounds and rounds of single? No thanks! I like to crochet small things, like macarons, and sweets, and mostly plushie clothes. And I refuse to assemble any more flowers. I hate that a crochet flower is 60% crochet and 40% assembly. I made my aunt assemble 1 once, and then I went No more flowers. Singing is enjoyable in general. I like to sing when I’m upset, so people don’t realise I’m upset, because I also sing when I’m happy. They only think: wow, she must be really cheerful. I don’t think I use singing to mask my sadness, but it does help. I’m also in choir so I get way more range when I want to belt on angrier songs like Ussewa or Aishite Aishite Aishite or propose. I like songs with stories, like songs that hide a deeper meaning, like Kyu-kurarin, or Lower One’s Eyes, or Shoujo Rei. My dream is to become a voice actor. Voice acting allows me to take on different voices and roles, because I can, and because it’s fun! Strangely enough, I can feel that warm feeling typically associated with romantic love, whenever I voice act someone with romance, despite the fact that I’m aroace. Outside of VA, I completely can’t feel romantic feelings at all.

What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?

Route memorisation is stupid in my opinion. I like creative classes, like literature. It’s so fun to analyse how they use the words in poems to invoke certain feelings in the reader! I struggle with boring classes like math when I have to just hear the teacher talk about triangles for an hour. Or English, when it’s just a boring comprehension I already know everything about. I actually keep falling asleep in those classes. When I study, actually. I don’t study. I’ve never sat down and actually gone through my notes ever, except for Chinese, where my aunt helps me. Outside of that, I don’t bother trying to study, only doing practice papers or homework questions. I don’t understand why people study, since I already understand everything the first time.

How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?

I can do that! I can break up projects into manageable tasks.. get a solid timeline and a plan so we don’t fail it.. and then I get a little too excited and add things as we go along. For example! I was supposed to make a presentation of Limbus Company’s Don Quixote for Chinese class. I just needed to organise a few pictures and put in the description and then we’d be done, right? Wrong! I decided to make a mini Limbus Company dialogue portrait comic and I was like: Oh. Oh no. But it does look great! But I got really distracted and went on a tangent instead in regard to the project..

What's important to you and why?
Can I say the internet? I’ve met so many wonderful and amazing people here, and been able to form very meaningful connections with others that I just can’t in real life. But honestly, what’s important to me is just being fulfilled. No matter what I do. I want to be having fun, and enjoying myself.

What are your aspirations?

To be a voice actor. I’d like to be in a big game, voice acting a character that has a complex backstory, something like Furina. Also I really like Amber Lee Connors. I wouldn’t start my own agency, but I want to be able to voice act a lot of characters in games or in shows or in movies.

What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?

I fear losing my autonomy. I don’t want people to control me. I also fear that maybe people don’t actually like me. Maybe they like who I seem to be. What makes me uncomfortable and that I hate is forced societal expectations. Sometimes I get told to do things because: Oh it’s a class thing, oh think about others, not just yourself. NO. SCREW THAT. I don’t like eggs and rocket. I don’t like the taste. If the egg tastes enough like not an egg: example drowned in soya sauce or tamago, I can eat it. I hate people who try to guilt trip me. I have more than enough of that from my mother.

What do the "highs" in your life look like?

When I’m having fun, typing people, drawing, or I’m having fun talking with people online or offline!

What do the "lows" in your life look like?

When I’m emotionally broken. I’m crying and trying to hide it yet I’m failing because it’s too overwhelming to even hide anymore.

How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I am not attached to reality. I sometimes wish I could just erase myself from the physical world, with all my pimples and having to eat or anything like that, and just stay in the digital world, on the internet where I can just do whatever I want. I don’t tend to pay attention to my surroundings. That’s how I keep losing things. My aunt keeps telling me to be less scatterbrained. I don’t daydream though, I immerse myself in fictional worlds or in text. Before I got into the internet, I used to read very heavily in the middle of classes, to the point they had to confiscate my storybooks.

Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

I start talking to myself. I ask myself about the room, think of how to get out.

How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?

I need to consider the pros and cons of my decision, if a contract is involved try to get a lawyer (that’s why my aunt says) and after some careful consideration I would decide, and I won’t change my mind because that decision would be final.

How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?

Ah. I typically don’t wanna deal with them? I can process them, my uncle tries to get me to. But in stressful situations I just blast music as loud as I can. If I have a good song to sing, or a voice acting job, I can channel my emotions into that.

Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

No. Screw social harmony. If I don’t like your view? I’ll say it.
Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?

Well does the rule have a purpose? If not I don’t see a purpose in keeping it around. And if it’s about conformity.. I’d break the rule if the setback wasn’t too great. But I don’t see the point in breaking the rule about dying my hair because I can dye my hair after I’m done with school. I don’t really care about my physical appearance. I don’t want piercings because I’d have to clean them. So people with piercings are quite interesting to me. And people who try to flout the rules by putting in their piercings also baffle me. Now if the rule was shut up and stand in a corner for no apparent reason, yeah. I’d say something. I’d fight back because it’s pointless and stupid! Some rules have a reason. There’s a reason there’s only 0.5 cm earrings allowed, because the last hoop earring student got her earlobe ripped out in the science lab. Yikes. I’m only gonna break the rule if I think it’s inefficient or pointless. Authorities are.. not the smartest sometimes. Heck, adults don’t even have their lives sorted out. Putting them in a position of power doesn’t change anything!

What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

A life where you’re happy. Happiness is subjective to everyone.

TEST RESULTS Type me based on characters I relate to

I feel like this is so accurate for me as far as what characters I got. The biggest problem is Ne vs Se. Since there is a hated rule involving writing an entire essay, I'm gonna add some things
1. I often feel guilty for not living in the present moment enough
2. I do NOT like brainstorming and drifting into possibilities
3. I am so afraid of not being liked and that leads me to feel like I'm playing a game when I'm with friends and I am trying to "level up"
4. I overthink everything when I'm texting
5. I change my personality a bit with different people

I’d say im pretty creative and I am good at guitar, drawing, makeup and writing. Tbh im pretty lazy and often unmotivated to do anything 💀 but I take alot of effort into how I present myself and oftentimes make sure to wear nice clothes and change my appearance often with makeup styles and hair etc and I’m really keen towards that. I love to read manhwa because I love the artstyles it has and its pretty entertaining. Im rlly quiet and solitary tbh but if I like you and trust you I am talkative, im oftentimes alone. I often offend people without meaning to because i’m very blunt and I am quite sarcastic. I am quite logical with my thinking especially in arguments. I usually dont get angry even when ‘arguing’ usually its the other party thats mad, but when im mad I can get rlly mad then I cool down and forget about it but oftentimes the other person is upset bc of what I said but I didnt rlly mean it. Im rlly untidy and dont think far ahead and then regret it. like all the time…
