Picture Friends gone MIA Anyone recognize?
This is A long shot and if this violets the rules mods remove it but I have an online friend in our group who played World of Warcraft with us consistently over the last year. He stayed in contact daily and one day over a month ago fell off the face of the earth.
Guy loves his jeep and talked about going to all the events in the southern states (georgia-tennessee area). So if anyone recognizes it please reach out id be more than happy to know he's alright or find someone who might know him.
(Yes I know the first name and age but that's about all I have)

Jeep patriot for roadtrip?
Hi! I have a 2013 jeep patriot with around 155k miles on it. I want to drive from California to Las Vegas. Im just a little hesitant because I recently road-tripped from Colorado to California and during the roadtrip the transmission fluid started to overheat and the light came on. Once I let it cool down I was more aware of how I was driving and it was smooth sailing. Im just a little worried to make this trip because the engine is quite loud going 60 mph on a freeway and I just don’t want it to break down. If I get it checked up in beforehand do you guys think I will be fine?

Technical Question Car stereo single pop cutsout?
The radio works fine for a moment (same with Bluetooth) but an audible pop plays and the radio just stops working.
The fuse is fine and the radio antenna is snug tight

Technical Question 2015 grand cherokee start button stuck, not able to start.
Went to go to work this morning and my jeep start button was stuck "in". Looking it up online, this seems to be a common issue. On older models they seem to be able to be removed and bypassed, but on the 2015 the key will only open the door, it won't start the car. I also assume the start button doesn't just easily pop out either.
Is there anyone here who has a solution to this problem? And if not, am I able to tow the car to a repair shop? Or do I need to take it to a dealer?
Thanks for the help!

Technical Question 2021 Jeep Cherokee intermittently doesn't start with the push button
Wrangler JLU - WiFi Hotspot
Just bought a MY2023 Wrangler JLU - and when I test drove it, the centre display showed a WiFi Hotspot icon.
Now that I have the vehicle I can’t see any sign of this feature - I assume the Dealer updated the Uconnect software etc - but why would the Hotspot function vanish?
I’ve researched and tried soft-resets of the display etc, but it’s not come back… AI suggested logging into the Ubigi website:
Check Account / Network Activation (Ubigi Portal)
On European/UK spec Jeeps, connected services are managed through the My Uconnect / Mopar Connect ecosystem.
If the vehicle's telematics box (T-Box) isn't registered to a My Uconnect account, or if the cellular connectivity has been idle, the hotspot feature icon can automatically hide until activated.
You can trigger provisioning directly by logging into the Ubigi for Jeep web portal (jeep.ubigi.com) on your phone or tablet to link the vehicle's VIN and activate the SIM services.
But nothing on their site indicates that my MY2023 Wrangler even has a hotspot…
Am I just looking for a black cat in the coal cellar at midnight… that isn’t there? 🤔🐈⬛

Technical Question Rear Main Seal Leak
Correct me if I am wrong: this is a rear main seal leak. Ill provide photos of my oil cooler if need be, but it didn't have an oil in the engine valley. The cooler was replaced not even 5k miles ago. Edit: oil is also on the transmission support bracket. I think the oil got there while driving. Idk of that matters but figured I'd add that.

Technical Question Does the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited have real or fake leather? I'm getting conflicting info from the dealer and also online.
If someone could point me in the correct direction with a solid source that would be greatly appreciated!

Technical Question Dealership wants almost $400 to fix disconnected reatdefroster on 2013 Wrangler
There's a small wire for rear defroster that is disconnected and usually is attached to the window somehow came off and the defroster doesn't work anymore. It almost looks like it was soldered to the window. It's about the size of a pencil eraser.
Dealership says they have to replace the entire piece of glass which seems pretty far fetched to me, but I honestly don't have a clue.
So, has anyone else have this problem and what did you do? Maybe a diy? Maybe insurance glass coverage for that chip in my window? There gotta be a way besides $400 at the dealership.
Btw, they also wanted about $280 per door seal for front and passenger doors. Mind you, they already repaired them about 11 years ago.

Hello everyone question
I know this will ruffle some feathers here, someone local to me is selling this “Heep” but I don’t totally hate it and I can buy it and drive it for a bit then sell it and get my money back. How bad is it?

Technical Question Rubber Duckies
Help me understand, when did this start and what does it mean. My first encounter was in my town last year, a Jeep with an array of rubber duckies stationed on the dash. I assumed they liked duckies. Then I observed another Jeep in my town with duckies and thought well, “they must be related and perhaps in competition with one another.”
I now realized those duckies were not unique in my town. I’m looking at a set now in stopped traffic, and it’s a man with a beaRd. What is the meaning of this? What is the connection between Jeep and thee one… who made bath time so much fun… OR - is it just a meaningless trend? Genuinely asking.
