Hi everyone I wanted to see if anyone in Hoboken who has a private parking spot would be interested in sharing it. I work in Hoboken Tuesday - Friday from 11am to 6:30pm (sometimes I leave early) and would only need the spot during those hours. I figured someone who drives to work during the day might have an empty spot they could make some extra money from! I actually have a business visitor parking pass, but finding street parking during those hours is nearly impossible unless I happen to catch a spot opening up during street sweeping. I don’t want to risk being late for work every day, so I usually end up paying for the garage instead. I currently pay $22 a day at a parking garage, which comes out to about $352 a month. 😩 I’m hoping to find someone willing to rent their spot to me for $150 a month. It could be a win win situation! You make some extra money while your spot is sitting empty, and I save a little on parking. If anyone is interested, please feel free to message me. Thank you so much! 🙏

Tonight while walking from Acme to Path, I lost a silver ring. It was a braided type design. Has sentimental value. If anyone finds it, would appreciate it being returned. Thanks for reading this post.

Believe it or not Ive never been to a ramen shop! I've enjoyed it at home many times, made recipes Ive seen on YouTube the Bulldock ones that you put cheese, eggs and sausage into (fattening and delish) but never went to an actual place.
So what do you suggest in our fair Hobroken?

Hey! I’m going through infertility and will likely start IVF in the next few months. Just checking to see if anyone knows of any local support groups? I have my own friends and therapist but would love to chat with people who understand.

There’s a tree in front of my apartment building on Jefferson Street that’s gotten really overgrown, with branches going through the lower telecom lines and hanging low over the sidewalk.
I called and emailed Hoboken’s arborist, Joshua Best, on September 25 (just before the nor’easter) and followed up again on October 2, but haven’t gotten any response at all.
I was able to get PSE&G to come out and they confirmed the power lines are above the tree, so that part is fine, but they said the lower lines are telecom.
From the lack of response, and also hearing that neighbors have complained about it before, I’m really just trying to figure out who is supposed to be responsible for getting this thing pruned.
Has anyone dealt with this before or know who at the city actually responds to these requests?

What happened to this place??? I would stop in to get a turkey burger or chicken sandwich was always a good experience until recently. One night I was told there was no cook to come back (it was about 7)…tonight stopped in for the home style grilled chicken sandwich was told they didn’t have one showed the girl it was on the board $9.25 I was then charged $13.50 when I questioned the price was told this is the new price guy didn’t have time to change the sign. Ate sandwich anyway it was just ok won’t be back.

What is the ordinance/ rule around e bikes and electric scooters on sidewalks. I was on the side walk with my toddler and a speeding scooter almost hit him. Rather than stopping, the guy fled away. I also saw this speeding e-bike which doesn’t look like an e-bike.

If you lost your phone on the Hoboken Waterfront, I have it. Just call it. It's on. I'll tell you where I am and you can come grab it. I live in town.

Hello, my SO will be moving to Hoboken in a couple of months. We’re 32 and have a rent budget of $4k/month. From what I can see online, that should be enough to wind up in a a newer building (I was looking at Vine), but also see that there are walk-up options on Zillow that are as low as ~$2,200 a month. Just looking for insight as to whether newer buildings in town are worth it. I didn’t have a great experience with one of my last mom/pop landlords, but have also been underwhelmed by the quality of “luxury” buildings elsewhere in NJ, so I thought I’d ask here before I flip a coin or something.
Other relevant information: I work in midtown 3-4x a week, SO will be driving to Edison. I’d imagine we’d want to look downtown? Thanks!

Hey folks, just came across this news and wanted to see if anyone else has heard about it!
GEICO has to refund more than $10.5 million to New Jersey policyholders because of improper insurance charges.
Has anyone here with GEICO car insurance received a refund or notification from them yet? Might be worth checking your account or reaching out to GEICO to see if you’re eligible.
Curious if anyone has heard anything from them!

Spotted Mrs. Lisa on site this afternoon with a new sign on their front gate. Text for screen readers and the visually impaired:
> Temporarily Closed for Renovations! Under new ownership. We are renovating and getting ready for an exciting new beginning. Lisa’s Deli reopening soon! Thanks for your patience and support. We can't wait to see you again!
Mr. Lisa was hanging out in the balcony garden. I called up to ask if they were definitely coming back and got what seemed like an affirmative wave in return.

Anyone else dealing with this rodent problem at 77 Park? The building says they’re on it but its a reoccurring issue. They now want to add a pest control fee to my new lease…how is this acceptable.

I can't take this fraudster seriously in the best of communications but her tone and language here comes across as somehow defensive, dismissing and condescending all at once.
Nothing builds confidence like implying parents in your district are dumb, irrational and a bunch of gossips.
I don't understand how she is still Superintendent after being outed for fraudulently claiming to have her PhD for over a decade, a lie which got her the job in the first place.
Anyway thanks for telling us yet again how amazing you are and how silly we are for asking follow up questions.
