Question❓ Feeling HVAC heating is more chilly coming in from NyC
Used to radiator heat that used to be so hot, I’m let down by the HVAC feels like heat is never on.
Is this normal for NJ folks moved from NY?

Hey folks, just came across this news and wanted to see if anyone else has heard about it!
GEICO has to refund more than $10.5 million to New Jersey policyholders because of improper insurance charges.
Has anyone here with GEICO car insurance received a refund or notification from them yet? Might be worth checking your account or reaching out to GEICO to see if you’re eligible.
Curious if anyone has heard anything from them!

Spotted Mrs. Lisa on site this afternoon with a new sign on their front gate. Text for screen readers and the visually impaired:
> Temporarily Closed for Renovations! Under new ownership. We are renovating and getting ready for an exciting new beginning. Lisa’s Deli reopening soon! Thanks for your patience and support. We can't wait to see you again!
Mr. Lisa was hanging out in the balcony garden. I called up to ask if they were definitely coming back and got what seemed like an affirmative wave in return.

Anyone else dealing with this rodent problem at 77 Park? The building says they’re on it but its a reoccurring issue. They now want to add a pest control fee to my new lease…how is this acceptable.

Anyone know what is planned for Joboken coffee, considering Hoboken is planning to put a tower next to the PATH station?

Does anyone have any recommendations for internet providers that aren’t Verizon or Optimum? I’m desperate.
I live in southwest Hoboken where Verizon Fios is currently unavailable. I’ve been with Optimum for nearly 7 years, but their internet service (as well as customer service) are severely lacking. WiFi barely reaches anywhere outside my living room, even with an extender. I have outages multiple times a day every day, and every time I speak with someone at Optimum they tell me I just need to “restart my modem” or that it was due to “scheduled maintenance”. It’s gotten to the point where I can no longer work from home. Anyone in town dealing with similar issues? Any recos for alternate providers I should look in to?

Just offering up a casual environment to talk to neighbors, discuss rent and housing issues and we’ll have information on how to get organized or involved with HUT!

Good morning. Did anyone witness the medical emergency that happened on the 119 around ~8:35 this morning?
This person was not responsive/not waking up as we pulled up to the gate, and I'm assuming people began to notice as everyone stood up to exit the bus. People started yelling to the driver that there was a medical emergency taking place, to call an ambulance, and saying that the person was not responsive. I ran off the bus to get the PABT police and sent them up to the gate.
Hoping someone else was there - I would like to know if this person is OK.

No bikes, scooters, pedestrians, unicycles, horses, anything really, besides a bus.
No access to Observer Hwy from the bus lanes either, have to go through the new plaza

Really delayed picking up in Hoboken (on Clinton) and traffic into the tunnel is abysmal.
These days the competition between cafes in Hoboken must be brutal. I imagine the margins must be small. Yet, a lot of the cafes still hesitate to welcome dogs inside, which is heartbreaking. I think this is primarily because nobody tells them how much joy it brings, and they think there is more money to be made by pleasing people annoyed by dogs than by serving the people who bring them.
I propose a simple way of completely filling cafes with dogs. If you see a dog in the cafe, just send them a compliment online. If multiple people do it, I guarantee that owners of these places will be putting out water bowls and treat jars themselves.
You can use the message below as a template.
Dear [cafe name],
I have been a regular customer for years and must have spent thousands of dollars at your shop. Your staff are always friendly, and the food is excellent.
Today, however, I was absolutely delighted to see a man bring a dog inside, right past the clearly displayed "dogs welcome" sign. The dog appeared to be an extremely good boy, and the staff served him a puppuccino without hesitation.
I find it very pleasant to eat in a café or restaurant with pets indoors, particularly when there is an explicit policy welcoming them. Please remind your staff to keep up the wonderful work.
I love your restaurant and would like to keep coming. However, if I ever see a dog turned away and the staff take no action to remedy it, I will stop visiting. I hope you will take this praise seriously.
Regards,
[your name]

Light blondish-reddish cat was walking around Avalon building, near 800 Madison entrance. She has a collar and looks very clean. I tried to get closer but she is scared.

Hi, if anyone has some insight on monthly parking near 5th and Jefferson, I would really appreciate it. I am moving in a few weeks and I need my car to commute to work. I would need 24/7 access, so ideally a self-park situation.

for school basketball uniforms OR asking for a small “donation” and are “$30 short of their goal” so yeah don’t give phone.
What they were selling was horrific too. If they had Kit Kat or Milky Way I would’ve paid 2 for it.
edit: kids roaming from Whole Foods to artichoke pizza

Does anywhere in town/JC have a really good fried rice made with soy sauce and not just the yellow rice? I feel like everyone’s fried rice is so mid and I’m just not a fan of the yellow rice in general

Looking for facial that does massage as well. Most facials I've tried here don't do any facial massage. Also bonus if they can handle simple millia extractions!
