DISCUSSION Addition to Commando Missions

• Upvotes

Something I just thought of is, you know how one of the main issues during commando missions is the fact that supplies are very limited.

What if they added support pods alongside the reinforcement pods? Basically you get one full Resupply pod and 3 weapon or backpack pods e.g. one resupply, one EAT, one Portable Hellbomb and one Stalwart.
While it may reduce the challenge of commando missions, I feel like it could also allow Arrowhead to add more variety. Of course stealth is still optimal but sometimes that isn’t an option.

Now that I think about it, it also allows players to test stratagems and play around with combos as well as getting to see them in action.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Tokyo Drift Chargers

• Upvotes

Once again asking that Chargers should NOT be able to turn once they start charging.

The current turn radius is ridiculous. If you start running 90 degrees to it's path, it basically turns into a Tokyo Drift merry go round on the spot whole the charger maintains its forward momentum. How does that even make sense?

I know AH has a unhealthy obsession with Chargers, but stop it

TIPS / TACTICS This armor does a lot more than it lets on

Post image

The passive's description is a little vague on what it does. "Bearer is more resistant to being knocked prone" is actually 30% reduced stagger. Stagger is the force that ragdolls you, but can also interrupt actions like reloading, stimming and taking supplies from your backpack.

Normally a stagger force of 10 will interrupt actions like stimming and a stagger force of 25 will knock you off your feet.

With blunt force mitigation an attack will need a base stagger force of 14* to interrupt stimming and 36 to knock you off your feet.

This means the majority of weaker projectiles from the bots will no longer prevent you from stimming. devastators, overseers and cyborg melee attacks will no longer knock you down. Neither will the grenades from war striders. The wiki lists the stagger value of pretty much any enemy's attack on their respective page.

There is some misinformation going around about ragdoll and explosive resistance. When you're in the ragdolled state, you gain 90% immunity to explosive damage. Critically this does NOT apply to the hit that caused the ragdoll.

Any armor rating above 100 reduces headshot damage taken. Which Reformer is able to benefit from with its 125 armor rating, without the poor mobility of heavy armor. The other BFM armors don't get this extra benefit.

The 30% reduced impact damage is very self explanatory. It does count for fall damage if anyone's wondering like I was.

*(technically it'd be 14.29 but idk if the game rounds it up or down, it might actually be 15)

DISCUSSION How to fix exosuits

Imagine if in HD2, instead of getting a full exosuit, you'd only get the arms—and you could mount whichever arms you want. That way, Arrowhead could add even more arm variants in future Warbonds.

DISCUSSION What is an armor passive you think would be better if it was a booster? or vice versa

I think certain armor passives would be better if the effects were stronger like Scout, but give the current version as a booster instead.

I think it would also help pull away from the big 3 that are always used.

Use the arc dog, blitzer primary, immolation nades for cutting off areas, ultimatum as a last resort, and electrical conduit armor. As long as you have good movement you can just farm kills infinitely easily. You're only limited by how many spawn.

TIPS / TACTICS I got my partner into Helldivers: A Karate Kid story.

Hey all, if you play this game with a partner or friend who is really struggling in the game, I have some advice for you. Worked well teaching my sisters kids the game, same for my partner. Maybe it might help you out.

Helldivers is a game that only gets better once people break themselves of the "stand your ground" mentality, and then learning how to manage enemies as a crowd in stead of as individuals. If they get in their head about the difficulty level, this is also a good tool to help them too.

Note: As a Mr. Miyagi type role, you need to understand half the magic is in not explaining what they will be learning. Trust me on this.

  1. Okay stick with me, I know what I just told you. Start by explaining basics and getting them comfortable with stratagems. Do this on dif 1 and 2 until they can solo the small patrols and are comfortable calling in stratagems.

  2. This part is going to be your Namek arc. Buckle up for the longest, but strongest point in training. Take them into the shit. But do not TELL them ANYTHING. We are talking difficulty three Illuminate exclusively mindless masses. This is their new life now. The horde, very little overseers/watchers and a ton of the worst infantry bullet sponges imaginable.

Play. It. Cool. It might take a hot minute, but they will also see that diff 3 and think it should be easy and after a while that shit makes it easier for them to lock in.

On paper it seems like it is just zombies, but they will get absolutely punished if they linger in any area due to how they spawn. Teaches them how to just move on from areas instead of trying to deal with the voteless. Once they get the Scythe though, that changes.

There will be a point with the scythe where they will find a rhythm. It might take demonstrating it, but the scythe/dagger work very well at passing over enemies just enough to catch them on fire and them moving on to other targets. Over time this helps train your buddy to not shoot things until dead but until they are fatally wounded. How to shoot at a crowd and not just individual enemies. You can tell when they have passed here when they can laser a voteless and judge purely based off of distance if the voteless will die before reaching them.

Once they can do that and literally ignore "terminal voteless" that is the hardest step completed. You have secretly cultivated their threat instinct/situational awareness. Wax On completed.

  1. If they are reflexively holding off all the voteless near solo, and they have not touched their stratagems, remind them they have em and get them to use them. Gatling barrage especially, but any will do. Once you see them using stratagems naturally and now can comfortably hold all zombies at bay, they are ready.

Wax off achieved.

  1. Don't warn them. Don't even hint you touched the difficulty dial. Just say that you are looking for a change of pace real quick or make up some bs about the Major/personal order and take them against difficulty 6 vanilla bugs but again DON'T TELL THEM A SUPER EARTHICAN THING.

Just say that bugs work differently, you will take care of the heavies, (bring melta mines, bolt pistol, pissile, or whatever you need to be heavy focused). Play on maps with flyers and let them lose.

This is that wax on/wax off payoff scene you have been waiting for. Just play it cool and tell them to focus on the little guys.

Watch the bugs burn, watch chaff fall, watch this person solo all the fliers like a coked up CIWS. Watch them single out any potential breach callers with the 10MJ fuck you laser pointer or its bigger shoulder mounted brother. Watch them throw anti heavy stratagems to help you cause they ran out of things to kill and got bored.

Your little War Crime is now a lean, mean freedom seeding machine that looks at most mobs the way an F22 looked at a balloon that one time.

  1. Tell them you will slightly bump up the difficulty but don't tell them what it is, switch to diff 5 bots and do the same too alternatively. Wait for them to notice and once they do just shrug and quote Vegeta.

"Power levels are bullshit."

Bit tongue in cheek, but here is my part Magic Feather, part Karate Kid training advice. Hope it helps. My partner still shakes off the rust by starting on diff 3 Voteless to get back into it after some time off.

MEDIA Talk about cinematic: the sunrise, the horde, the final salute before sinking below the river

I forget how much polish goes into this game sometimes.

I only realized the other day that each planet has: it's own day/night cycle, with times you can actively track and plan for; an atmosphere that changes colour depending on neighboring planets and the system's star (which has different appearances); varying degrees and types of flora, fauna, fog, bodies of water/oceans, and weather; the ability to experience eclipses from the ground.

Arrowhead could cook with a No Man's Sky-esque game.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Battle of Thermopylae/ BTD 6 mission

I want a mission holding a choke point against an ever increasing onslaught of enemies. Starts with the most basic of enemies and then keeps increasing, no stealth. Just an eradicate mission turned up to 15.

BUG / TECH ISSUE Can't convert back to DX12 without crashing.

What is says on the tin.

I've tried reinstalling GameGuard, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, updating drivers, deleting user settings. Nothing works.

Parts list:

Windows 10

16 GB DDR4

i7 12700k

RTX 5070

I'm switching back to DX12 in hopes of getting better FPS. I struggle to get above 100 even with smooth motion.

Sometimes, when I join other people's games, I notice players who have the same power-up iss this a visual bug, or is there a trick to doing it? And does it double the effects of the power-up?
