In the past few days, I've noticed a green pixel on the bottom right of the inner screen of my Fold 8. I've had the Fold 8 since launch and this is definitely a new issue, possibly since the last software update. Initially I thought it was a dead pixel, but when I rotate from landscape to portrait, the green pixel moves to the bottom right in portrait. It's not just in apps, but also on the home screen. Does anyone have the same issue?

So I’ve had my z fold 8 since launch. I preordered the Duo it will be here sometime in November. But I’m honestly considering canceling my order. I’ve owned every single model of iPhone. I gave the z fold 8 a chance and once I got to know the Ui and what I can do with Android. I honestly love this phone. I can do everything get every app, apk’s or whatever. I love point n click games, I can have gamehub and play my steam games. There is just so many options. I understand now 😎

As for the fold relating to the fold ultra, who has switch from the fold 8 to the fold 8, ultra and vice versa? I just got the fold 8 ultra today and noticed that I’m kind of nervous closing that screen once you have it folded open. The front screen is very beautiful and it reminds me of a typical slap phone. Wafer thin and have only good things to say about it.

So for those who have swapped between one or the other, what we are driving reasons, and are you content with your decision?

People with fold 8, how's the app optimization going for you? Like for everyday use Instagram, Facebook, etc. on the outer screen.

I have a Z fold 8 and the Google messages app is continuously crashing. Mostly when the phone gets warm. I have tried Beta, clearing the Cache, changing the memory, restarting. I tried Fossify, but it doesn’t work as seamlessly as when messages does work. Thankfully I had it as messages recently when I deleted beta so I didn’t loose every message.. has anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

Someone just jail broke their new iPhone duo, and it has this really cool gravity effect on the apps where they fall however the phone is oriented. Is there a way I can do this on my fold 8 that's just as good?

Are you struggling to find wallpapers for the inner screen on your fold? If you find a really cool wallpaper online, but it is formatted to a regular phone screen, download the picture and put it into Perplexity or any AI app. Ask it to extend the art to the ratio of your fold. Mine is 1:1, and the AI does a good job of formatting it to the inner screen size.

I have a fold 3 which hasn't been used in 2 years, and went through the process of updating it, but google services refuses to update. Play store doesn't load either. After a long diagnosis with chatGPT asking me for various versions, clearing cases etc.. I'm at a loss ! Has anyone had this before??

I’m trying to choose between the iPhone duo and the galaxy fold eight. The thinness the thickness of the Samsung is a major selling point however in my opinion, something no one is talking about for the iPhone is the greatest hinge made on earth that does not have it sticking out when unfolded in the inner display. it is something to behold.

However, if it wasn’t for the weight and thickness of the iphone, I would have already pre-ordered one.

As for the galaxy fold the two plastic black protruding thingies cannot be unseen once a YouTuber pointed them out.

My question is how often do your fingers actually touch the protrusion?

So I've had a matte screen protector on my iPhone for years and want to continue the tradition. However, with the fold, it's a bit tricky. I've installed a matte screen protector on the front-facing screen, however, I'm contemplating the inner display. For reason Gemini is saying not to do it. I don't have Samsung+ and I bought this phone out right. So I don't want to damage it with my own doing. How has everyone experience with an inner display of used. I'm not worry about the crease rather I like the tactical feeling of a matte texture. Has anyone experienced any damage issues in the long run of using a inner display protector?

Underclock done in game booster + app and thermal increase done in good guardians. Been testing in switch and pc emulation situations and seeing more stability and the same or higher frames with the underclock

Ive seen so many apps getting optimized for the Duo in the unfolded mode, and I'm wondering when (or if) we can expect app developers to port those layouts over to the Z Fold? A lot of people on this subreddit have been saying the Duo will be a net-positive for the foldable market and app support, and I really hope that's the case sooner rather than later.

I bought this Fold 8 from FB Marketplace and it seems that the phone got reported stolen. I guess the deal was too good to be true lol. I feel like an idiot too because i met the seller at a T-Mobile store and had them look up the IMEI where they confirmed the phone was not financed or locked to any carrier so i thought it was good... money out the window

I've been using the OhSnap 5 Stand grip on my fold 8, but I find the metal stand doesn't play well with some of the surfaces I like to rest my phone on. To avoid scratches, I've started looking into a stand that isn't made of metal.

Does anyone have experience or pictures using the Moft Tripod with the Fold 8? I am well aware that it would cover the main camera, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make

I bought a Z Fold 7 from the Galaxy Store a few months ago and today I noticed a raised area on the screen, very close to the bottom hinge. I always close it very carefully, pressing only the rim part, and I don't know how this could have happened. I also notice a cracking sound when closing it.

Anyone else having this problem? Should I seek assistance as soon as possible?

For Smart Launcher users here on Fold 8, can you open 3 apps in parallel (stacked next to each other) while SL is the default home? I can do that when OneUI is the default but it dissapeqres for me in SL.

Also the bottom screen dock is not there, I guess it's part of the launcher itself? Or is there a "trick" to get it also with SL?

To be honest most my tech is apple, (TV,MB,IPAD,iPhone, watch) but over the years i've also added the fold phones to my everyday carry, as I got bored with the iphone, last iphone I have is the 15 pro max which i still carry for like passwords and some apps, moved over to Garmin for my watch, but I been rocking fold since the Fold 5, got the ZF8 when it came out and love it wish it had the friggen s-pen, which infuriates me to this day. I love how apple integrated the pencil into theirs, and in general I love apple software design, however the point is...the duo version of the iOS sucksss, they mainly did that to blend in the camera punch thing, but how that bar now eats away at so much real-estate is crazy, I get it some apps arent optimized but even Safari, the side bar takes away way to much real estate, I hope they change their os, cause as for now pound for pound OneUi/Android eats the "duo-OS". Does it not bother anyone else? like I'm shocked its sold out everywhere despite such a dumb design flaw, the whole point of folding phones is more real-estate, how you gonna make an os that takes less of even less idg. someone who has a Duo, does it not bother you?
