Investment opportunity
An opportunity to partner with a Fijian citizen who owns 20 acres of waterfront elevated freehold land 1.5 hours from Nadi to develop it via several different possible pathways, with a view to eventual total ownership. You can see more here. This is a sample of the views available. That is Waya Island in the Yasawa Islands. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hJkxaS1Hgq0dBkEFYB69rGkpfU1Sr7jf/view?usp=sharing

Will I have enough time for a quick trip during layover?
Okay so I have about a 15 hour layover in Nadi, and I’ve never been to Fiji so I want to make the most of it. It may be my only opportunity ever, who knows. So I land at 5am and I fly out at 8pm. I was thinking about a tour that leave from Port Denarau, and their departure time is 9:45am.
(Which I think from 5am to 9:45 I’m not worried about making it on time, even if it takes me 2 hours to get through that brings me to 7am and then if traffic to the port is bad and takes an hour, I’ll still be there by 8am.)
***What I’m more thinking about is the tour time and getting back to the airport on time. It’s 7 hour trip that says it brings us back at 4:45pm. If I get off the boat and get a taxi by 5pm and say with traffic take 40-60 mins to get back to the airport at 6pm will that be enough time to get on flight with Fiji airways to Auckland by 8pm?
I know online says “3 hours” but I never arrive 3 hours early to any airport anymore because it always feels like too much time for me.
Also does Fiji have any way of pre-booking a taxi to meet with you at the port? Or are there normally a few taxis hanging around?

Fiji Social?
Is there a Fiji/Fijian Social subreddit/forum etc? I'm visiting Fiji, went to a few years of primary school here, for just over 2 weeks and thought it would be cool to chat to a few people.
I was thinking of something equivalent to r/BrisbaneSocial where you can chat to folks and see if you gel etc.
Well, if there isn't, feel free to reach out to me anyway. I'm a dude and 28

News Complex surgery successfully separates Fijian conjoined twins
Doctors in Saudi Arabia say a complex operation to separate 13-month-old Fijian conjoined twins has been successful.
In what was described as an “exceptionally rare” case, the sisters, Dicecea and Jesepeli Kikau, were born joined at the lower abdomen and pelvis.
It is a condition known as omphalo-ischiopagus tetrapus.
The girls had their own hearts and lungs and required an almost 13-hour operation to separate their liver, bowel, urinary tract and anal canal.
As the procedure reached a critical stage on Thursday night, local time, doctors announced they had successfully separated the pair and were starting on their reconstruction.

Honeymoon in November
Fiance and I booked our last minute honeymoon in mid-late November this year. We’ll be heading to Vomo Island and after booking I’m now having some last minute nerves given weather concerns. I found some dated posts here about weather in November so wanted to get some updated perspectives on what we can maybe expect for this year. Also any perspectives on our resort would be good too. It’s family friendly but not overly concerned about that.
Rugby League World cup
Hi there, my partner and I are staying in Korotogo and are wanting to watch some of the rugby league World cup matches. The only place that looks to be showing it near us, that we've found so far, is Sinbad's pizza.
Anyone know if any other places showing games? Were happy to drive to Sigatoka if needed as well.

Irish guy, 6 days in Nadi
I'm goina be here for roughly 6 days, might hit up with if the island resorts for a night or two. Which would you recommend? Other than that I'll probably chill by the beach and do a few hikes if you have recommendations for that as well

Has anyone had experience with this? And what was the outcome?

Travel 24 Hour / Late Night Grocery Shops in Nadi
Are there any grocery stores (for essentials like water) which are open late in the centre of Nadi or close by? Had a look on maps and didnt see anything conclusive.

from fijians, what are some gifts you would appreciate receiving from a tourist?
I want to bring some gifts over for some people who I will be staying with, but I don’t want to bring over things that are just going to become junk.
What are some things that a Fijian family may want, that they typically can’t buy/ wouldn’t buy themselves, that I would be able to give them?
I thought chocolates from my country, tea towels, nice hand lotion or soap, perfume…

Has anyone brought a drone into Fiji on someone else's behalf?
I recently purchased a DJI drome from New Zealand and wonder if my friend can bring it to Fiji on my behalf.
I've already submitted Form OP137 to the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF) for recreational use. CAAF has acknowledged my submission and advised me to follow the conditions stated on the form.
I also emailed CAAF for further clarification, explaining that the drone was purchased in New Zealand and would be brought into Fiji by my friend on my behalf. I specifically asked whether the completed OP137 and their acknowledgement would be sufficient for Fiji Customs clearance or whether any additional CAAF permit or documentation was required.
CAAF responded, "That will suffice."
My main concern now is Fiji Customs at Nadi Airport, especially since my friend is bringing the drone for me rather than for himself.
Has anyone brought a drone into Fiji on behalf of someone else? Were there any issues?
Was the Customs clearance straightforward or did you experience any delays?
I'm trying to make sure everything is done properly so my friend doesn't run into unnecessary problems at the airport.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually brought a drone into Fiji recently, particularly through Nadi Airport.
