How is NBB 299?
I've heard some not so great things about it from someone, but it fulfills my NBB elective requirement and I'm not in a lab yet.

hey everyone! i applied to emory's traditional bsn program for all 2027 during round 1, and decisions were originally supposed to come out today (october 15).
i just received an email from the admissions office saying that round 1 decisions have been delayed due to the high volume of applications. they mentioned that decisions would be finalized "in the coming months", but didn't provide a new release date.
just wondering if anyone else received the same email or has heard anything about when decisions might actually come out?
good luck to everyone who applied!

Doed anyone know what the dsting scene is like, espically for grsd students. I've been here for about s year and I have had literally zero luck. It just seems like everyone just keeps to themselves

Hi everyone! Last round of decisions we released I was waitlisted :\ any tips to get off the waitlist? Has anyone successfully gotten off the waitlist? I noticed in the letter the waitlist will remain active until the first day of class😫

Hey everyone! I just got accepted into Emory’s Master of Nursing (MN) program for Summer 2027, and while I’m super excited, I’m starting to seriously stress about the financial side of things.
Tuition is around $50k a year, and from what I’m understanding, federal unsubsidized student loans only cover around $20k per year (10k per semester). So how are people actually paying for the rest?! ðŸ˜
Did most people have to take out private student loans to cover the remaining tuition? If so, how much debt did you end up taking on? I’m planning to live in Atlanta, and I really don’t want a roommate. Between rent, utilities, groceries, parking, and transportation, I’m trying to figure out how people manage everything financially.

Hi everyone!
I’m an international applicant planning to apply for Business PhD programs in Marketing, Management, or International Business at Emory, Georgia State and Georgia Tech for Fall 2027.
Due to personal administrative commitments and health reasons in the country of my residence, I may need to delay my arrival by approximately 4–5 months.
Has anyone at these three universities been allowed to start their PhD in January instead of August?
I’m particularly interested in whether a one-semester deferral is possible, whether funding is retained, or whether students are required to wait until the next fall cohort.
I’d really appreciate firsthand experiences from current PhD students or applicants who have dealt with this.
Thank you!

For context, I currently have 30ACT and I’m not trying to submit it as I’ve only taken it once and it’s clearly not up to par. I have one pretty good spike EC and others that connect with that spike EC, and my GPA is a 3.88 UW. Is it still worth to go ED test-optional, or is it better to take October and December, go for a 34, then go RD.

I’ve heard some rumors that the current dean is trying to establish an undergraduate public health department. As a human health major it sounds very exciting!
Anuone heard anything similar from other students or faculty? The dean didn’t call or email me back.

I hope I am posting this in the right place.
I am a recent ADN grad from Albany State University through their bridge program, I have been a paramedic for 20 years. I landed a job in the ICU at the newly absorbed Emory Warner Robins. I am wanting to obtain my BSN and saw Emory Healthcare and Chamberlain have a venture together that would allow me to complete my BSN fully online. I live out in the country and would prefer online courses due to my work schedule and family activities.
I was wondering if there are any nurses here that have taken advantage of that partnership and could tell me if it is worth looking into or would I be better off going back to ASU.

Hey everyone,
I am class of 2027 and spring registration is coming up in 2 weeks. I need 6 more credit hours to graduate and have fulfilled all my major reqs and GERS. I've already applied to grad school and everything; in all honesty I'm just looking for a class that I show up (or even not show up) and don't pay any attention and get an atleast a B+.
I heard Gary Laderman is good for this but do you guys know anyone else?
Emory rushed for two TDs to power the upset win over Virginia Tech, for all of you Emory/Cal fans out there )there are dozens of us!)

Hi everyone! I currently work as an Anesthesia Tech at Emory Hospital, but I’m really trying to transition into clinical research, specifically CRC or Research Specialist positions.
I have a master’s degree in Biomedical Science and about two years of clinical and patient-care experience. I’ve been applying to positions at Emory and other organizations in Atlanta for a while now. I’ve made some progress with recruiters and possible interviews, but things often seem to go stagnant, and it’s honestly been discouraging.
I’m genuinely passionate about getting into clinical research and want the opportunity to grow in this field, but I’m starting to feel stuck with the application process.
If anyone works in clinical research in Atlanta, knows of teams hiring, can offer advice, or would be willing to refer me for a position, I would truly appreciate it! I’m open to CRC I, CRC II, and Research Specialist opportunities.
Thank you so much for any help or guidance!

I'm traveling to Atlanta from out of town and will be staying near Emory campus. I need to take an important zoom call during the day and need a quiet, somewhat if not entirely private space. Any suggestions?
