I have some personal experience with Endeavor Air not being the most professionally managed outfit…

Basically Y'all are a bunch of Bandwidth Hogs even with onboard IFE.
Very typical Delta behavior, fly a route until the competition gives up, and then cancel it yourself.
Another recent example of this was JetBlue and Delta flying JFK to LGW and now neither one of them do.
In general, Delta is focusing a lot of resources into the coastal hubs lately, meanwhile interior hubs have seen virtually no real growth or new destinations.

Last night’s flight home from MSP to CLT after a long workday in northern Minnesota was a bit of a mess.
There had been weather in the area mid-afternoon when I landed at MSP from a destination farther north. I checked my connecting flight’s inbound as soon as I landed, but I had several hours to kill, so I wasn’t too concerned.
The inbound was about 35 minutes late, which pushed us back a bit, but given the weather, it wasn’t too bad.
We finally board, buckle up, and the door closes. I put my AirPods in and start a movie, but notice we aren’t pushing back. A little while later, still no movement. I check the radar, and the storms and rain have essentially moved through.
Then the captain comes on and explains that our inbound aircraft from MEM had been operating a charter flight, and the required security sweep hadn’t been completed. He apologizes and tells us we all have to deplane with our carry-ons so the aircraft can be swept for security, after which we’ll reboard.
Full credit to the passengers on that flight: I didn’t hear a single person complain. Everyone got off quickly, and within about 30 minutes, we were boarding again.
I’ve never seen a group of people board so quickly, especially when you factor in everyone getting their luggage back into the overhead bins. It was honestly impressive.
We ended up getting to CLT about 90 minutes behind schedule, which wasn’t ideal when our scheduled arrival was already 11:50 p.m. But all things considered, I was impressed with how the crew and passengers handled it.
So, what’s the strangest or most unexpected reason you’ve ever had to deplane and then reboard?

“First class”
Foot was introduced to my elbow and it retreated back to the seat where it belonged. Good day to wear sleeves.

All regional & short domestic hub-hub flights. No card spend, no stays mqds, no accelerators.
I want a diamond tag with Affleck and his cigarette as the background...

Each time I call, I'm told my RUCs are in a review queue & they have put my request at the top of the queue, so I'd get them back within 24 hours.

Never seen the airport this busy. Please arrive early as it’s chaotic as hell!

Landed at SEA and NOT had a delay due to somebody being at your gate, no ground crew available, randomly needing to stop on the road that connects the runways somewhere and sit for 10 minutes?
Anyone?

Delta bag recheck guy saved my connection after a delay on my previous flight. He saw my luggage tags and clocked that my final flight was about to board super soon and grabbed my bags for me without waiting in the full recheck line.
Maybe I just got my shit stolen but for now I'm happy to be on my original flight and not scrambling to rebook.
Thanks dude!

If a dark submarine like cabin is the experience everyone supposedly wants, why isn’t that the experience Delta advertises?
Every single photo in the “Onboard Experience” section of Delta.com shows the window shades open. Even the woman sleeping in the first photo has hers open!
Common sense and courtesy should prevail. If the sun is blasting directly into someone’s face or reflecting off their screen, absolutely, be considerate and lower the shade.
But courtesy works both ways. If you want to sleep in the middle of the day, bring an eye mask. Your preference for darkness shouldn’t automatically override my preference for a window view or natural light.
But to the flight attendant on that 1 p.m. flight who demanded the shade be closed because Delta promises a “calm cabin,” I’d argue that Delta’s own advertising tells a different story.

Anyone have any info/updates on all construction at DTW? Specifically the tunnel, I think I’ve flown or picked up/dropped roughly a dozen times since the beginning of summer and genuinely, not exaggerating, have seen 0 workers. various times of day, nothing.

I’m currently 7jsh hours in my flight and I got full internet connection still and it pretty fast

This is roughly where I am with internet access? Does this mean pacific has WiFi now? When I flew to Japan 2 weeks ago, I did not have WiFi once leaving the continental states.

Boarded my flight this morning from GRR>DTW seated in 4A. Someone was in my seat so I asked him to double check his seat assignment and wouldn’t you know it he was in 3D. I offered to just switch seats (double checking with the FA first of course) and he gladly accepted. 4A is a better seat but it’s like a 20-minute flight so whatever.
I then sat down next to the lady in 3C.
3C Lady: ah darn, I was hoping 3D was not occupied so my boyfriend could sit with me.
me: where’s your boyfriend seated?
3C: he’s in 1C.
Me: oh what the heck, I can switch with him too?
3C: yeah you can ask him if you would like.
Me: 😐ummmmm ma’am, he’s your boyfriend. If you would like us to switch seats, you need to ask him. LOL
*she proceeds to ask and we switch seats. Not a thank you or anything. Now I’m no hero, but I guess common courtesy is just out the window??

Is it just me or this unacceptable for a four hour long first class flight?

Delta 093 from BER to JFK. The aircraft is a 767-300ER. In Delta ONE. Such a sad aircraft… Delta ONE seat is barely better than Premium select. No storage, No place to put headphones, or amenities kit. No coat hook... Fortunately, the seat has power, and the WIFI sort of works.
Delta needs to use its profits to upgrade its aircraft.
Just in this morning, we have multiple posts, some of which are gaining traction because AI is genuinely getting good and people aren't able to discern. We need to get a lockdown here on the moderation somehow or start reporting these clearly AI-generated posts. Just from the last few hours.
What's scary is that people are interacting with this stuff as if it's a real post and real comments. The first post today on window shades has over 150+ upvotes and organic comments. This is not a real person or content.
Do not interact with this stuff, downvote, and report. The point of this is to harvest even more user data and responses to train the AI models. Reddit is one of the top cited source for AI.

There's a fire alarm at ATL right now. I find it interesting when this happens at airports not a single person makes their way towards an exit.
What would happen if I went out a door onto the tarmac?
Weird behavior. Anywhere else people would evacuate.

I’ve had my Reserve card for multiple years and I always end up wasting my companion certificate because it’s never “available” for the flight(s) I want to book.
Is there some secret or hack to being able to actually use these? I got so fed up with searching that I just called to try to find options, but it seems like this process should be a bit easier to research on the consumer side. Any advice?

Haven’t played this game before but was looking at booking a LHR flight via Virgin. Coming out of a smaller city to ATL on DL metal. ATL to LHR Virgin metal.
I am wondering if I book it this way and VS104 has a DL5998 code as well would I still have lounge access via Delta AMEX Reserve Card? I have also have Individual membership (choice benefit) but my wife only has the Delta Amex Reserve.
There would be 6 of us flying so I intend to bring in two guests under my Individual (paying for them) and 2 guests under my wife’s Reserve card (paying for them).
We both have Delta Amex Reserve so Centurion lounge could be an option too.
Appreciate any insight you can offer.
