Review VZMORE AX9 Max Mini PC

If you have spent any time testing high-powered mini PCs over the last couple of years, you already know the biggest catch with cramming 54W to 65W mobile workstation silicon into a tiny box: heat. Plenty of compact rigs look great on a spec sheet, only to hit a thermal wall two minutes into a heavy workload.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been putting the VZMORE AX9 Max through a full suite of synthetic benchmarks, AI workloads, storage stress tests, and 30 hours of real-world gaming. This system packs AMD's "Gorgon Point" Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 (12 cores / 24 threads), the Radeon 890M integrated GPU, and a 55 TOPS Ryzen AI NPU into a 135 x 131.8 x 57.7 mm (777.5 g) aluminum chassis. To keep those components under control, VZMORE built the system around its V-Cooling thermal design, which pairs a full-coverage VC Vapor Chamber with active fan cooling to support up to 65W (V-Boost Pro).

Across 73.22 minutes (2,197 telemetry samples) of HWiNFO64 hardware logging and 30 hours of gaming, the cooling setup did not record a single thermal throttling event (PROCHOT or HTC) or Windows Hardware Error (WHEA). We did, however, uncover a quirk with wireless input stability when the system is pinned at 100% load, which VZMORE's engineering team is already addressing via an upcoming BIOS update.

Quick Specs & Test Unit Configuration

Our review unit arrived pre-configured with Windows 11 Pro (64-bit), 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5-5600 RAM, and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Below is the full breakdown of the official specs alongside what HWiNFO64 and Geekbench detected inside our test machine:

V-Cooling Vapor Chamber & Thermal Performance

The main reason this mini PC performs as consistently as it does comes down to its V-Cooling architecture. Instead of relying solely on narrow copper heatpipes that can saturate when both the Zen 5 cores and the 16-CU Radeon 890M are pulling power simultaneously, VZMORE uses a wide VC Vapor Chamber paired with active fan cooling.

To see if the vapor chamber lives up to the marketing, I logged 2,197 samples (73.22 minutes) of HWiNFO64 sensor data across six distinct torture and benchmark runs
HWiNFO Combined CPU + iGPU + SSD Burn-In (hwinfo burnin.CSV): 389 samples over 13.01 minutes (780.6 seconds) pinning all 12 cores at 100.00% median CPU usage (mean 89.57%), 88.00% median iGPU utilization, and 629.08 MB/s median NVMe read load.
Extended FurMark GPU Burn-In #2 (furmark burnin 2.CSV): 739 samples over 24.65 minutes (1,478.7 seconds) holding the Radeon 890M at 100.00% median utilization and a 3,053.00 MHz median clock.
Baseline FurMark GPU Burn-In #1 (Furmark burnin.CSV): 261 samples over 8.68 minutes (520.7 seconds) at 100.00% median iGPU load.
Geekbench 7 & AI Benchmark Suite (Geekbench 7 tests.CSV): 702 samples over 23.42 minutes (1,405.0 seconds) covering single-core, multi-core, OpenCL GPU, and AI inference runs.

What Stood Out in the Thermal Logs

  • Spot-On Power Management (54W Balanced + 65W V-Boost Pro): With Windows set to the Performance power plan, the AX9 Max immediately lets CPU Package Power boost to 64.92W to 65.01W (CPU Core Power SVI3 TFN peaking at 77.15W), matching VZMORE's V-Boost Pro Up to 65W spec. After roughly 90 seconds of continuous torture load, the APU STAPM controller settles cleanly at a 54.00W median (54.06W max), while Total System Power tops out at 94.69W, leaving plenty of headroom on the included 120W power brick.
  • Wide Heat Spreading Across the Die: While the instantaneous CPU (Tctl/Tdie) hotspot sensor briefly touches AMD's 95.00 C boost ceiling during initial 65W bursts, it settles to an 85.00 C median (mean 83.47 C) during the 13-minute combined CPU+GPU+SSD torture test. Even better, the physical CPU Cores (Avg) sensor holds a 71.40 C median (mean 69.62 C, max 78.40 C) and the L3 Cache averages 63.70 C. That 13.6 C to 15.4 C gap between the Tctl/Tdie hotspot and the physical core average shows how effectively the vapor chamber spreads heat away from the cores.
  • Rock-Steady 25-Minute FurMark Temps: During the 24.65-minute FurMark Burn-In #2, the Radeon 890M iGPU and CPU (Tctl/Tdie) sit at a flat 73.40 C and 73.80 C median, while physical CPU cores average 58.73 C (median 59.60 C).
  • Fast Cooldown & Ice-Cold VRMs: Once the 100% load in the HWiNFO Combined Burn-In ended at second 726.5s (89.90 C), CPU (Tctl/Tdie) dropped to 47.10 C by second 780.6s, shedding 42.80 C in 54.1 seconds (0.79 C/sec). Meanwhile, the motherboard's VDDCR_VDD VRM never exceeded 57.30 C (median 51.90 C to 53.30 C under torture), and the dual DDR5 SO-DIMMs peaked at 59.20 C / 57.00 C.

CPU Performance: Geekbench 7.0.0 Single-Core & Multi-Core

The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 pairs 4 full-sized Zen 5 cores (Cluster 1) with 8 dense Zen 5c cores (Cluster 2), backed by 12 MB of L2 cache and 16 MB of shared L3 cache. In our HWiNFO64 logs, Zen 5 Cores 0, 2, and 3 boosted up to 5,240.5 MHz (5,150.7 MHz on Core 1), beating the 5.2 GHz rated boost clock, while all eight Zen 5c cores hit 3,294.1 MHz. Under 100% all-core load in hwinfo burnin.CSV, the chip maintained a 3,585.20 MHz median average clock (3,627.50 MHz median effective clock).
In Geekbench 7.0.0 for Windows AVX2, the AX9 Max posted a Single-Core Score of 2,664 and a Multi-Core Score of 17,051, giving it a 6.40x multi-core scaling ratio:

Local AI Performance: Geekbench AI 1.7.0 (CPU ONNX vs. GPU DirectML)

Alongside the dedicated 55 TOPS Ryzen AI NPU (which clocks between 0.2 MHz at idle and 800.0 MHz under load in Geekbench 7 tests.CSV), we benchmarked both the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 CPU (using ONNX with AVX2/AVX-512) and the Radeon 890M iGPU (using ONNX DirectML) in Geekbench AI 1.7.0.
The results show why having both strong AVX-512 VNNI CPU cores and a 16-CU RDNA 3.5 iGPU in the same box is so useful for local AI workflows:

Holding 66.6 FPS at 1440p Ultra in The Sims 4 over 16 hours and 93.8 to 108.9 FPS at native 4K in Mewgenics and Cosmoteer makes this a very capable casual, indie, and strategy gaming box without needing a discrete graphics card.

NVMe Storage Speeds & Thermals

The primary M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 slot comes populated with a 1 TB Lexar SSD NQ7A1 (RC1191R001242P2237) running at a full 16.0 GT/s PCIe 4.0 link speed. Tested in CrystalDiskMark 9.0.3 x64 (3 passes, 1 GiB test size, 18% drive fill at 176/953 GiB), it delivered fast Gen4 numbers while staying cool:

CrystalDiskMark 9.0.3 Benchmark Read Performance Write Performance
Sequential 1M (SEQ1M Q1T1) 4,810.91 MB/s 5,099.54 MB/s
Random 4K (RND4K Q1T1) 68.45 MB/s 247.73 MB/s
Random 4K Throughput (IOPS) 16,712.40 IOPS 60,481.69 IOPS
Random 4K Latency (microseconds) 59.74 us 16.46 us

During the 190.5-second CrystalDiskMark run (ssd bench.CSV), the drive's composite sensor averaged 50.05 C (median 50.00 C, min 41.00 C, max 59.00 C, SD = 5.25 C), while the ASIC controller sensor (Drive Temperature 3) briefly touched 66.00 C during sequential writes before dropping right back to its baseline. Even during the 24.65-minute FurMark GPU burn-in, the SSD sat at a cool 40.00 C median, showing zero heat soak from the APU.

Testing Note: Wireless Connections Under Heavy Load (BIOS Fix Incoming)

During our stress testing, we noticed an issue affecting wireless connections (specifically wireless mouse input and receiver stability) when the system is pushed to maximum combined CPU and GPU load (HWinfo64 log Wireless input under load.CSV, where CPU load hits 95.85% median / 100.00% max and GPU load hits 93.50% median / 97.00% max at 64.43W median / 65.01W max package power).
To isolate the behavior, we captured polling intervals in MouseTester across wired and wireless configurations both at idle and under heavy system load:

MouseTester Dataset / Capture Window Sample Count (n) Mean Update Time Median Update Time Min / Max Update Time Std Dev (SD) Updates >15 ms
Wired Mouse Under Load  519 8.00 ms 8.00 ms 5.36 ms / 10.42 ms 0.77 ms 0.0%
Wired vs. Wireless Combined Log  2,578 10.73 ms 8.25 ms 0.01 ms / 934.53 ms 26.12 ms 7.6%
Wireless Mouse No Load  1,109 8.10 ms 7.52 ms 0.25 ms / 127.76 ms 5.49 ms 2.6%
Wireless Mouse No Load  (2nd, short test) 528 7.87 ms 7.54 ms 6.00 ms / 22.17 ms 1.75 ms 2.8%
Wireless Mouse Under Load  1,387 11.42 ms 9.71 ms 0.01 ms / 128.02 ms 7.59 ms 18.5%
Wireless Mouse Under Load (2nd, short test) 509 10.90 ms 9.52 ms 0.01 ms / 48.97 ms 5.58 ms 18.3%
  • What Happens Under Load: With a wired mouse, polling remains rock-solid at both idle (hovering tightly between 7.5 ms and 8.5 ms) and 100% system load (averaging 8.00 ms with a tiny 0.77 ms standard deviation and 0.0% of updates exceeding 12 ms). A wireless mouse at idle also tracks near the 125 Hz target at a 7.87 ms mean (7.54 ms median) with only occasional ~15 ms intervals. However, when the system is hammered by a 100% combined CPU+GPU load, wireless update intervals jump to an average of 10.90 ms in the capture window (11.42 ms across the full log, pulling the effective polling rate down to 90.4 Hz), with 32.4% of updates exceeding 12 ms and latency spikes reaching 33 ms to >41 ms.
  • Fix on the Way: We shared our HWiNFO64 and MouseTester telemetry directly with VZMORE's engineering team. The manufacturer's technicians have already reproduced the behavior and are currently building a BIOS update to resolve the under-load wireless resource/interrupt contention, so this issue will be fixed shortly.

Final Verdict: Pros, Cons & Should You Buy It?

The Good:

  • Legitimate Vapor Chamber Cooling: The V-Cooling VC Vapor Chamber holds a rock-solid 54.0W sustained STAPM (65.0W V-Boost Pro peak) with zero thermal throttling, keeping physical CPU cores at a 71.4 C median under combined torture, FurMark iGPU temps at a 73.4 C median over 25 minutes, and VRM temps below 57.3 C.
  • Strong Zen 5 + Zen 5c Compute: Hits 5,240.5 MHz on Zen 5 cores to post 2,664 Single-Core and 17,051 Multi-Core in Geekbench 7.0.0.
  • Flexible Local AI Hardware: Gives you a 55 TOPS Ryzen AI NPU, Radeon 890M DirectML (15,143 FP16 score, 7.82x faster than CPU), and Zen 5 AVX-512 VNNI (7,732 INT8 quantized score, 1.28x faster than GPU).
  • Great 1440p & 4K Casual/Strategy Gaming: Scores 35,031 in Geekbench 7 OpenCL and averages 66.6 FPS at 1440p Ultra in The Sims 4 and 93.8 to 108.9 FPS at 4K in Mewgenics and Cosmoteer across 30 hours of play.
  • Loaded Port Selection & Fast Gen4 SSD: Dual 40Gbps USB4, dual HDMI 2.1, dual 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7, SD 4.0 reader, six USB-A ports, and a 1 TB Lexar Gen4 SSD hitting 4,810.91 MB/s read / 5,099.54 MB/s write.

The Trade-Offs:

  • Secondary M.2 Slot is 2230: While the primary M.2 2280 slot takes up to a 4 TB drive, the second PCIe 4.0 x4 slot uses the shorter M.2 2230 form factor (up to 1 TB).
  • Wireless Jitter Under 100% Torture Load (Fix Pending): Wireless peripherals currently experience polling spikes when the APU is pinned at 100% load, though wired peripherals are completely unaffected and VZMORE's technicians are rolling out a BIOS update to resolve it soon.

Overall, if you are looking for a compact Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 mini PC that actually has the thermal engineering to sustain its 54W to 65W power budget without cooking its VRMs or SSD, the VZMORE AX9 Max is an impressive piece of hardware, and once that BIOS update lands for under-load wireless stability, it will be firing on all cylinders.

Review (sponsored) Review of the GameSir G7 Pro 8K and Tri-mode

Hello, GameSir community! Thanks for taking an interest in my (sponsored) view of the G7 Pro 8K and Tri-mode, both are Aimlabs. This is combination review, but I’ll clearly distinguish between the two. Quick note, I don’t blame you if you confuse the two, I’ve done it on more than one occasion.

Starting with the unboxing (both controllers), the controller is front and centre, and further down, the dock. Replacement D-pads sit under the dock, don’t miss them! These pieces are on a cardboard insert, which can be removed. Below that, there is a braided charging cable, as well as a bag containing a small booklet informing you of contact information and a thank you message from Betta Core, GameSir’s CEO. The bag also holds a GameSir sticker, a code for a free month of Aimlabs+ (and a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in the Tri-mode’s bag), and an instruction manual explaining how to power on/off the controller, pair it, and enable different special features on-the-fly.

To get started, pop off the base cover of the charging dock like a TV remote battery cover, plug the wireless dongle into the internal USB port, replace the cover, and connect the dock to your PC using the included USB-C cable. The pairing process is simple on both controllers. Hold the button on the dongle until the light flashes rapidly (the Tri-mode’s dongle doesn’t have this button, it’s always ready to pair). Next, slide the mode switch on the back of the controller to the dongle symbol. Power it on by holding the Aimlabs (8K) or Xbox (Tri-mode) button, then hold the pairing button next to the 3.5mm jack until the LED ring blinks rapidly. Once the lights go solid, you’re connected.

I’m a fan of this setup, it’s “set it and forget it”, especially since it connects so quickly when you lift it off the dock.

The dock and controller fit very nicely together, they look like extensions of each other. GameSir opted for a pogo pin method of charging, which is great for reducing strain on the USB C port. I have seen pogo pins/pads get dirty, which causes intermittent connection, so be wary of that. It’s not a GameSir specific issue, to be clear.

On the dock, there are indents for the mode switch, mute, and pairing buttons so that they aren’t pressed and the controller doesn’t rock back and forth, which is great design. The dock also has a light bar along the bottom, consisting of five RGB LEDs. They can be customized with GameSir’s software (Connect for the 8K, Nexus for the Tri-mode). I will note that the 8K and Tri-mode use the same dock, so any LED limitations are enforced via controller firmware.

Getting to the controller itself, I must say “wow”!! You get a lot for the price, $110 CAD for the 8K and $130 CAD for the Tri-mode. Both feature clicky and responsive optical ABXY buttons and mechanical D-pads. They take a little getting used to, but the crisp, audible feedback means you don’t have to guess whether your input registered. Whatever switches GameSir used for the remaining buttons, they do not miss.

Both controllers are modular, you can hot-swap the thumbsticks and D-pad. While the 8K comes with extra pieces in the box that the Tri-mode leaves out, the parts are mostly cross-compatible, though I did run into some issues trying to swap thumbsticks between models. The magnetic faceplates, however, swap over just fine. Using switches on the back, you can swap between mouse-click triggers and analog triggers on the fly!! Two more switches lock the back buttons.

Speaking of taking things apart: to remove the main faceplate, slide your nails under the edge near the USB-C port and down by the GameSir logo, then pull straight up. For the side palm grips, just grip the sides and pull up. Finally, if you need to remove the cable retainer, grip it firmly, pull toward yourself, and slide it out.

Both controllers have great weight to them, they’re just right. Not too heavy, not cheap feeling. They both feel great to hold too. The palm grips have a nice diamond-tile pattern on them, which increases grip. The back grip is rubber, the front isn’t. The back buttons are in a great place, although are easy to press if you squeeze the controller in a high-stress situation.

The 8K’s LED ring can be customized, but the Tri-mode’s can’t, it stays white. The 8K’s charging animation can be changed, the Tri-mode can’t. The Tri-mode’s LED ring is always white, except when docked, then it’s off. Both docks’ LED bar “breathes” at yellow, then green, then white, depending on charge percentage, but the 8K’s can be changed. I’ll reiterate that this is enforced via firmware, not a limitation of the docks themselves.

The 8K has Mag-Res™ TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) Sticks Gen-2, and the Tri-mode has Gen 1. The Gen 1 has more tension than Gen 2. I haven’t noticed much of a difference between them, except the tension difference.

I’ve had a couple of issues with this controller, some being the controller/dock and some being inherent to its design. 8000 Hz mode cut my FPS in half on a Core Ultra 9 185H and it’s iGPU. The 8K’s D-pad is a little hard to get off, which isn’t a big deal, but the Tri-mode doesn’t have this issue.

All in all, these controllers are amazing, and absolutely worth the price tag. Thank you for your time.

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Dark corners around monitor screen

When I first got this monitor around 2 years ago, I had never really paid attention to it to notice but I think either this was already there right from the beginning or it was just less noticeable back then and lately I started noticing it felt like it started expanding more and more into the screen despite how small of a space it takes up in the corner of my screen, I started noticing it in the top right and bottom left of the corner of my screen too (but my bottom right is fine), I went and look through old photos and noticed the top right corner of my screen in old photos didn't have them before but they do now, does anyone know what could be causing them and if there is a fix for it? Feels like my monitor is really new and my prior history with 2-3 of my older monitors I've never had any issues with them and had used them for far many years more than this current one I'm using.

I was never rlly that interested in computer specs and stuff but I’m majoring in cs next year and I need a laptop so I don’t want any body telling specs or anything since I don’t understand it legit send me a link to the best computer for cs. I’m not super well off so max budget is like 3k rn?? Hopefully I can go under that but I have heard I should be aiming for 16 or 32 gb ram and also preferably not iOS? I also personally prefer lighter computers.
Thank you I know this is awfully ambiguous but I don’t rlly know anything else about computers I just need a good processor for code and virtual simulations 😭😭

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Hardcover book recommendation for newbie wanting to learn more

Dear friends, I want to transition from life long user to trainee geek. Videos are all well and good but I want to supplement these with a hard copy illustrated manual if exists.

Am looking for a book that can teach me:

What actually must happen in order for a PC to recognize added devices (phone, printer bluetooth)

Step by step processes for installing drivers

What has to happen before it is possible to: update device managers and drivers

What is a router, what is BIOS

What happens in booting, initializing plugins

What is a router, what are the different cable types, etc.

Thanks so much for any advice or recommendations!

Question/Help/Troubleshooting PC VS Mac

Currently an M1 Mac Mini user/M1 Pro Macbook Pro user with 256gb SSD (mac mini), 512gb SSD (Macbook) and 16gb RAM (both), with external storage being 1TB TB4 SSD for my video editing assets and 2TB HDD for less used files.

I’m already stupid impressed with their performance despite their age but specifically I’m looking replace the M1 because the GPU performance for video editing isn’t really cutting it anymore the moment I add any effects (and proxies are annoying), or doing anything AI related like denoising. I play roblox top obbies the most, occasionally minecraft modpacks, and I also video edit both 1080p gaming videos and edit 4k n-log h.265 videos in Davinci Resolve Free (also photo editing 24mp raw in adobe lightroom/photoshop). Very niche use case ik but I’m not sure which is more suited for me since I prioritize a computer that can last for my work. Planning to use two monitors too.

PC Build (building myself)
Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus
NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 (had a razer blade laptop with this gpu that would’ve completely fine performance wise if the cpu wasn’t so buns)
MSI B860M-E micro ATX
Kingston Fury Beast 4800MT/S 2x16gb
Fanxiang 512gb NVME PCie 3.0

Mac
Mac Mini M6 Chip
256gb SSD
16gb RAM

these are both the same price btw. Feel free to ask any questions!

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Is it worth it to buy a Desktop PC for music making or should I just keep using the laptop?

I currently have been using my one HP Laptop with 16GB RAM I've had for 4 years to record music and I could continue doing it fine if I needed to. The one hassle I have with it is the fact that I am many times in a clutch for storage meanign I have to delete old plugins and other things to make space for files and the fact that I need to constantly unplug and replug my set up whenever I have to take the laptop for school.

Because of this Ive been thinking of investing in getting a desktop PC that ill use for making music and some moderate gaming (I havent been able to do this on my laptop haha but that isnt the main reason), and using the laptop just for schoolwork and making demos if im ever traveling or on the go. I could still keep using the laptop for more time I suppose until it wears out but the idea of having a computer that is already setup that I never need to move around sounds nice for making music.

People who made this switch, was it worth it or about the same for productivity?

What are some questions I should ask about the computers?

What should the answers be?

What should I look for?

What should I avoid?

Discussion 9070XT Prices ($900 USD)

I formerly tracked the PC parts market closely. I have been out of the game for a while since AI made parts go through the roof.

I am looking at new 9070XTs and they are currently only available at my local micro center and Newegg for around $900USD I have no issue with this honestly but also I don’t want to get rinsed. I want to pay a fair price.

Is this a price GPUs will be at for a while? Is this an okay price to pay or way too much?

Question/Help/Troubleshooting GPU Spikes in Second Monitor

So I just got a second monitor for my computer and whenever I go into the second monitor, my GPU usage spikes to 100%. I’m seeing posts that this is normal, but I’m worried about the long term. The intended usage of this monitor was primarily for Discord/Spotify when i’m doing something on my main. I have an rx 9070. The primary monitor maxes out at 100hz and the secondary maxes out at 60hz.

Discussion Has anyone tried cleaning the smaller cooling fans using an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner?

This is a request for advice relating to cleaning and maintaining a part included in almost every computer.

Backstory: We periodically replace the fans in our family’s laptops because we have not found an effective method to clean them. They frequently get cleaned by blowing them out using compressed air or a an electric blower. But after a year or two that method does not go far enough.

The motors seem to be in good working condition, but the dust buildup on the fins just too much.

I was trying to figure out a way to clean them and having recently gotten an ultrasonic cleaner that they would fit in same as coins, jewelry or dentures, I wondered if that could be an effective way to clean them?

And if a person did use that, what cleaning solution would they put in the tank? It would seem to me— but of course I could be wrong. It’s happened before :)— that you could use most anything so long as you drove any moisture out afterwards. Well ok, NOT most anything, some are flammable, so should not be used such as rubbing alcohol.

Has anyone got any experience cleaning them effectively? With or without the ultrasonic cleaner?

Question/Help/Troubleshooting How can I know if I have a virus?

All right, plugged my PC in for the first time in nearly a year. It’s just been sitting in a room, in sleep mode I think? Since I got it rebooted, it’s been acting really, really weird.

Something is definitely taking control after it’s been open for about 5 to 10 minutes, it’ll completely nuke my Wi-Fi connection. and then a lot of things won’t respond anymore. I don’t think it’s every program, but most programs will no longer open. and some programs function differently, for example, once it kicks in, going into settings, I only have access to certain settings. If I click on my Internet settings, the button doesn’t do anything.

I went through task manager and used Revo to uninstall anything that I didn’t recognize, but it’s still there. Whatever it is, I’m pretty sure it’s also preventing me from restarting my computer for some reason, it gives me the whole this app is preventing you pop up, but it’s a blank app with default icon, so I have no idea what it is or where it’s hiding it doesn’t even have a name.

Any ideas that don’t require me to completely nuke my PC? I’m running Windows 10 since my PC is ineligible for 11. I7 7700, 32gigs and a RTX 3050 plugged into a strix z270e for rule following.

My girlfriends old laptop has some of her artwork that she really wants. The screen is kind of broken and it doesn’t want to connect to a different monitor. When I try turning it on I get different errors each time, although it booted up right once and after entering the pin, the screen went black and I could only see the mouse. I thought that if I can remove the storage then I can get all the data onto my computer but when I opened the laptop up I couldn’t find the storage drive. It’s a HP ENVY X360

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Lenovo Yoga 7i 2n1 Won't Boot

I used my computer yesterday, and it was completely fine, but today it wouldn't boot. The fan spins, the Num Lock light comes on, and the power button light comes on, but there is no display. I tried connecting it to an external monitor, so I know the LCD isn't the issue. I've let it die completely and then tried to boot it back up, and I've also used the emergency reboot button on the bottom of the laptop, all to no avail. Is there anything else I can try? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Vivobook 14 flip - to buy or not to buy

As the title suggests, I am deciding on whether I should get Asus vivobook 14 flip TP3407SA-SG155W

Right now I own Asus tuf gaming f15 from 2021, and I know that it is a totally different thing, which is the reason I am changing it. I need a more portable laptop which can handle multitasking, school and some photo editing.

I stumbled across sale on Asus web store in my country, offering it for ~1200 eur. Since it is a 2 in 1 laptop and pretty light compared to the one which I am currently using (1.5 compared to 2.3 kg)

So, my questions are following:

  1. Has anybody used it and what are your thoughts and experiences?

  2. Would you suggest it for note taking?

  3. How does it handle Lightroom classic?

  4. Will I be able to run war thunder, cs2 or gta5 on minimum settings?

Thanks in advance!

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Needing to replace a very old tower PC - needing advice

My wife has finally decided to replace her tower PC. It's 15 years old and running Win10. I could build one, but my preference would be to just buy a pre-built system. Here's the main criteria:

small profile

decent MOBO (like ASRock, or MSI)

16Gb RAM

decent video card (video card built into the CPU). She's retired and only uses it for surfing, using Office 365 apps and playing videos/music

Intel I5 or AMD CPU (but doesn't need to be high end. Her PC is using a Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz)

At least 2 USB ports in front or on top of the enclosure and several USB ports in back

HDMI connection for her monitor

one Ethernet port on the MOBO and maybe the possibility of adding another Ethernet card in case the one on the MOBO fails

Win11 Pro or Home edition

Trying to keep it below $1000 if that's possible.

Any suggestions for (preferably) a pre-built that meets this criteria?

UPDATED to include price range and that only 16Gb of RAM is needed

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Display issue

I have a Samsung Odyssey G9, 3 years old just out of warranty of course.

Turned it off to go on holidays which I rarely turn the PC off.

Come home turn it on and now the display just stays backlit and briefly flashes on shown in video clip.

Plans to change from a display port to HDMI, but I don't believe it's an input issue.

PC did do an update before turning it off. I selected update and turn off. So this is first time turning on after update

Do you think it can be fixed or just get a new one?
