I feel so hopeless and pathetic and alone and have no one to talk to right now I'm so tired of this. I'm so tired of myself. I don't know genuinely wtaf is wrong with me I have to self control and my skin is always a few days away from healing I genuinely hate myself right now.

I have been picking since 14 but when I got into my 20s it's just become constant and more dangerous. Yesterday I did (photo) and said enough is enough and got acrylic nails again. I'm ashamed and honestly so sore. Anyone else accidentally got so deep? It's at the base of my hair. All advice welcomed I can't do this alone T^T

Advice Nails NSFW

Hi friends. I’m curious, does keeping your nails long, or short help you with your skin picking? I’ve heard both. Either people say that keeping their nails super short helps them, or having their nails done tally long help them. For the short nails it’s obvious, they’re so short you can’t pick, but for me even with really short nails, I find a way, unless they are cut completely down. Then when they grow even a little I pick. As for long nails, I’ve heard other women/ girls say that having them done really long they physically can’t pick because of the way the nail bends or causes their fingers to bend. I’m sure it’s a personal experience/ preference and varies person to person, but I’m truly at my wits end and want to hear your opinions. I’m aware that nails on their own won’t fix it all, I’m just trying to take some preventative action. I typically keep my nails on the medium length end and almond. Thanks in advance!
