Queen General Hux of the First Order (aka Hux) has lost many small teeth in the last few years. Let us share a moment of silence for her incisors 🫡

She has dental cleaning and x-rays every 6 months now due to her severe chronic gingivitis and quick tartar buildup, regardless of at home dental care. Her most recent dental (2 days ago), her middle 4 incisors on the bottom were extracted. Hux is recovering well 💕

Today marks a whole month without Mouse.
I miss her so much it hurts. Part of me wants to ramble about her and how angry and sad I am all the time and how alone I feel, but also, there are no words to articulate it correctly or well enough...
I don't understand how someone so small can make a hole so big...
Please hug your babies a little extra for me today. ❤️ 😔

This is my princess girl. I am based in the north of the UK. I have been to two vets with her that are actually meant to be highly rated in my city. The first one for her dental made her so sick after. I knew something wasn’t right but all my concerns were dismissed and I was told I was being dramatic. I pushed and pushed with multiple emergency vets and turns out I was right, she had aspirated during the procedure and needed emergency care.

She is two years old and I’m looking to get her spayed soon. But I am worried sick and do not trust anybody with her. She is 1.6kg and very sensitive. She does not react well to meds/ procedures etc. I’m willing to travel around the UK for a good vet for her.

Does anybody have any recommendations on where to go or what I should do?

I'm looking to test my guy, Widget, for illegal substances. Mainly looking for Opiates or Marijuana. Has anyone successfully found any that produced accurate results. He is completely denying any drug use at all, but I just can't trust him anymore! I just want to help him if I can. 🤣

Thank you to everyone who had kind and reassuring words yesterday. My girl pulled through and did very well during surgery. We are recovering at home. She is out of it (to be expected). But I may be taking her in for a recheck today. I do have a planned phone call follow up this morning (it’s still early where I am)

She had no interest in food. Only ate 2 pieces of softened kibble last night and refused other options. Ate a little wet food I gave her this morning. Got very excited for some scrambled eggs I made her but mostly just licked it. And no interest in water yet. She did pee last night and this morning.

She had 6 puppy teeth pulled, so we have to deal with this on top of the spay and her feeling yucky coming off the anesthetic. Hoping she feels loads better later today. We’ve got a good pain management plan just need to make sure she is well to eat and drink.
