XJ: The more I work on it the more work I find to do.
Second Jeep after a diesel WJ.
This was taken at my first RTV trial back in April. At the time it had 3" of lift, 32s and enough polyurethane in the front suspension to make ride comfort a theoretical concept.
Since then the entire project has become an obsessive quest to improve geometry, ride quality, steering feel and RTV competitiveness by fractions only I can detect.
It's now at around 4" of lift with an all-rubber front end and so drives much better, proving that many of my previous ideas were, in fact, a waste of money!
Next on the list is curing the Jeep lean with some OME leaf packs, as the rear suspension is largely in control of direction at the moment.
Looking forward to finally finishing it, for roughly the 752nd time, this year.
