Free Ladders c/o Don Holt Fresh shipment of ladders en route to be sacrificed to the Don Holt
The bridge demands ladders. The sacrifice must be made.

Did your friends bail on you for that dope new EDM, Gospel, folk fusion band and need to unload your extra tickets?
Did you salvage some ladders off the Don Holt and want to flip them for beer money?
Need someone to pressure wash your lawn?
This is the thread for you. Rule 2 (no craigslisty buy / sell / trade) and Rule 4 (no self-promo) will be very lightly enforced here.

Now that its finally cooled off (knock on wood) I want to finally go out with the rollerblades my husband got me for Christmas last year (yes I know I had all spring lol)
Where are the best places with easy smooth paths? I tried JI County Park today but the paved trails were too bumpy so I gave up and went for a run instead.
Any suggestions? Other than Hampton Park which is already on my list!

We have a Britax Advocate car seat in great condition - we had to replace our old one and then my son promptly had a growth spurt.
Does anyone know where these can be donated? Children's consignment places and Goodwill won't take them - I guess for liability reasons... I hate to put a perfectly serviceable $300 car seat in the dump. Women's shelters? Some other place I'm not thinking of?

What is this? The closer tree line is my property line, and the manicured grass in the background is an apartment complex. So the whole swampy area is the back reaches of my lot, and I don’t come back here too often.
This mystery pole showed up and I’m trying to figure out what it is, and I want it took down or moved over. Thanks

So my wife and I came down to Charleston, and one thing really caught our attention. Driving around downtown and the historic district, everything is beautiful. The old houses, the architecture, the streets, the whole atmosphere. But seriously, what is up with the potholes? I mean, this is something that's actually fixable, right? Or are the potholes considered historic landmarks too, and nobody's allowed to touch them?

The restaurant served its last diner on Wednesday, ending an 81 year stretch of providing some of the best soul food in the area. Coffee Johnson, the owner, passed in September.

My fiancée and I are getting married and having our honeymoon in Charleston. I have a lifted F150 supercab and we're debating on if we'd be better to drive her little mazda or my roomy truck. We're doing a lot of touring and sightseeing in the historical section

Extremely sad news tonight. Jared Smith from Charleston Weather (@chswx on all the platforms) has died.
He had complications from heart surgery and did not wake from sedation after the surgery.
He also just got married on October 4 and leaves behind a wife. https://x.com/Charlestonion/status/2110843280581910943

Hellooo, I'm planning a trip to Charleston for the High Water festival in April. I'm thinking of renting a car since I plan on staying a few days longer to explore outside of the festival. Does anyone have experience with parking at the festival? I'm pretty patient and not worried about being stuck in traffic, however, I am anxious if I'll struggle with finding a spot. Would I be better off with rideshare? Also, if anyone has suggestions on where to stay while I'm down there, something safe, as I'm traveling solo. Thanks in advance!

hello, i’ve recently started getting into ceramics, but i haven’t purchased a kiln yet. i’m holding off until i can afford a decent one. i ordered clay in bulk and hope to start working on some projects next weekend, but i’ll need access to a kiln. i’m just planning to make small dishes to start, so it doesn’t need to be a huge one. tia

The cost to do a Pilates and Puppies class makes me roll my eyes so hard Charleston has lost its damn mind with these prices. Anything else obscene like this (other than rent?)

Hello! Our family is moving to Charleston next summer. My child will enter fifth grade. It seems like Mount Pleasant has the best public school pathway (Carolina to Cario to Wando). Is this accurate or are there other neighborhoods/areas to consider? Thanks!

A heads up for my fellow JZI commuters:
From the announcement sent: "Once the River Road detour is removed on Monday morning, traffic will shift into the new roundabout configuration at the intersection of Main, River, and Chilsom Roads. The new roundabout was constructed to improve safety and operational efficiency of the intersection."
This is part of the improvements that will eventually include the flyover at 17 and Main Road when it is complete.

Hello! My mom’s birthday is coming up and I need some help finding a good restaurant. I have searched seafood in this subreddit and I couldn’t find anything that really matched what I am looking for.
My mom suggested Gilligans, but I want to take her somewhere a little nicer since we live in the low country with plenty of seafood options that aren’t a chain. However, I do not have the money to go to a place like 167 raw or anything like that. Are there any mid tier seafood restaurants you guys would recommend? I am looking for somewhere in Summerville or North Charleston if possible. She specifically mentioned oysters but I know that may be difficult with the price range.
Thank you in advance!
Update: thank you all SO MUCH!!! I was trying at first to reply to everyone’s comments but there are just too many lol. You guys really showed up for this one!!! I think we have decided on Lowcountry Fish Camp this time, but I will definitely be trying out some of these other suggestions! Thanks for helping make mom’s birthday a great one!!! We are excited!
