Little clip of warming up on an a zone steel at about 10 paces / yards out. Couple hiccups throughout the day on my draw with the breeze kicking my shirt around and all around subpar shooting otherwise a very enjoyable range trip!

I have it canted towards the front a bit because it helps with grabbing it and seems to hide it a bit better - but I’m enjoying this Craft shoulder rig. It rotates forwards after releasing the snap for an easier pull out of the holster - very nice!

Guns & Ammo “Glock” 26x (GS M1X)

Shoots great. Timney trigger functions perfectly with substantially lighter and cleaner break. Way less spicy than my 43x with c cuts. SLR Magwell improves grip and reloads. Say what you will about Osight, it’s right there with the EPS Carry in my humble opinion. Slimfit Holster. Winner

Guns & Ammo What is your thoughts

Ok many of you are Leary about the bg 2.0. I get that. Is that why some of you won’t try one? Or is it .380 that isn’t enough for you. I’m sure we will see more .380 from other manufacturers. I don’t worry about what clothes I pick out for the day. I like that I don’t have to wear xlt shirts anymore. I can wear tight clothes again. Losing 40 lbs made this gun a problem fixer. No more belts. No more adjusting you rig. I get that some of you feel like you have enough pistols. This also helps when you are dressing up. Shirt and tie. You can do a number 2 now without taking your gun off. It fixed all of those issues. I know there are guys with big hands. For once my smaller hands are a plus. My g26 needed just about as much polishing to get her to run right.

Guns & Ammo Floyd’s custom Magwell question (M&P 2.0 compact )

Debating on ordering one along with the +2 baseplate for my 2.0 compact but was wondering does it add any length to the grip at all? Or does it just jam your fingers closer together ?

With the flush fit mag my pinky hangs off a bit(I got pretty big mitts 😂) so I wouldnt want to make my grip more uncomfortable by adding a magwell if it’s just going to smoosh my fingers together

If it doesn’t add any length then I’ll most likely just run it as is with the 17rd mags + mag sleeve

In cold months, do you switch to owb or do you continue to go iwb/off body? If you carry multiple ways, vote on how you carry the most please.

I left a choice for those of you who never encounter "cold" weather so you don't skew the poll 😉

Holsters & Belts Need help finding a strong side holster for a Canik MC9 Prime

To preface. I’ve been carrying for nearly 5 years but it’s always been “buy the shittiest holster on Amazon and rock it.” But I recently bought myself a Canik MC9 Prime, fell in love and decided I’m going to do the responsible thing and get a real holster that’s not $15 off Amazon.

The only probably is I’m a big boy. 325 pounds (down 10 from last month!) and trying to loose weight but appendix is out of the question so strong side it is.

I don’t know the first thing about holsters. I have a gun belt but it’s not the best and it too was like $40 and an upgrade would probably be night and day. I’m looking for something on strong side, has a cant or can be, with a claw and that supports any form of wml and optic cut.

If anyone could help me out here or give recommendations? I know I can use google but I’m just not sure what’s good or what’s bad.

Guns & Ammo Need recommendations

Need a small and actually concealable carry that id have no excuses not to carry daily. I’m a super small framed guy at 5’6 and Maybee 125 lbs. currently only have mp 2.0 compact 4” which feels solid in the hands and shoots great but the big n thick grip is the culprit for concern if I don’t have on a hoodie or similar. Hit the range with my buddy who has the hellcat micro 3” with an optic and the bodyguard 2.0. I don’t usually tend to like dots on pistols just cause I struggle to find the dot and makes the gun larger. Did a lot of research on the bodyguard and was hoping to like shooting it more but I could barely hit 8-12” steel targets at a decent range(all hits were low left so I know it’s mostly my fault tho a lot of people say the bg 2 shoots left) Yes the hellcat was more snappy but I thought it was still manageable in my hands and I shot better with it. Only ever shot micro compact a few times in the past and never had much luck with accuracy. First ever was a 365 and struggled like I did with the bg to hit the target. The bodyguard grip felt nicer in my hand and trigger felt better also but the fact I didn’t shoot great is turning me off from it. I know if I bought both the bodyguard I would want to carry more frequently just based off of size and weight alone, as my buddy’s hellcat doesn’t see much holster time from him. Also don’t want to buy the hellcat just for it still to print a little bit or not be as concealing as I hope. So either thinking get the gun that I know will conceal better but will require more practice or the bigger one that I shot decent with and sacrifice full concealment not sure what the call should be.

TLDR: I have mp 2.0 compact need a micro that I can actually conceal with out a hoodie. Hellcat vs bodyguard. Shot noticeably better with hellcat but like the ergonomics, size and trigger of the bg2 more. Do I judge the bg after one range trip? Hellcat had a red dot and I think that maybe helped with my accuracy but not positive as I don’t have one on my handguns.

Holsters & Belts Thanks to you!

So my previous post about being paranoid and uncomfortable with my daily carry of my BG2.0 garnished some good responses and advice. Thanks to the group for that!

I got a better duty belt, a proper vedder hybrid rapid tuck holster, and some nice wrangler button ups that are a bit longer on the side and back.

Also because of this better equipment I was able to find my sweet spot at 3:30 and am waaaay more comfortable.

Holy shit what a difference!

Dude it feels great!

The belt is waaay more supportive and adjustable for those days when I have on more layers, the holster fuckin tucks in to this groove on my back/hip and feels like it's not even there anymore, and the shirts make me forget about constantly checking with my hand if I'm showing/printing.

Please man, if you are new to CCW like myself, get some good equipment and the right clothing. Makes all the difference!

Thanks again brothers, and happy safe carrying!

Holsters & Belts AIWB vedder vs T1C S&W CSX E

Thumbnail gallery

Looking to AIWB my CSX with a mastermind tactics pillow.

Vedder or T1C? I’m not a fan of vedders single clip but I hear good things about them. I also plan to get the discrete clips on the T1C. Not sure if it’s worth the xtra money though.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Holsters & Belts Does anyone know what brand is this?

So I got this holster with the S&W MP 2.0 3.6 inch barrel with a TLR 7X light. The parts idk is whether this is an open carry holster or in the waistband holster cause the huge clip hanger does not help with concealment at all. It still bulges out as if I got something, so I hanged it outside and seems ok but a bit loose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Permits Renew or not to renew

I’m just yapping.

Gun owner since 2025 and also CCW since 2025. I basically got a gun just for CCW. Been training here and there with my P365 and the membership at the range helps but I don’t go as often lately. Probably shot 2000+ rounds since. I thought ammo was cheap like 23cents but wholly crap you go through them fast.

When I first got the gun and the CCW the wifey questioned it. Why this why that. Having a gun was ok for the house but the CCW was questioned.

I’m up for renewal next year and I ask my wife if I should bother renewing it. Instead of questioning why it has now become my choice.

I question the need for it now. I’m in Southern California. Got kids. Got a home. Got regular 8-5 office job. I took it to work maybe once (locked in a doj box in a car) Mostly carry on the weekends or when I meet up with someone to sell something.

Anyhow… I will renew in 2027 because although my wife doesn’t say it directly…. The fact that she seems more comfortable with it is telling me it’s good to have with me in the event the family is with me. But if she’s out there own her own…. She won’t even touch a gun. That’s life.

Still waiting to get home gun (hoping for a full size Glock since they are reliable) but for now all I have is the sig and hope to never use it.

Edit: at least when I renew next year it will be good for 3 years. Perfect timing.

How long do these usually last for before they need another charge ?

First time putting a light on any gun that I’ve owned but, from the reviews and stuff I’ve read streamlight seems to be the gold standard so hopefully this one will do me some good

Guns & Ammo Struggling with options

I’m an older male with one concealed carry gun…a Shadow Systems CR920 with Holosun optic and light. No matter how many times I go to the range for practice…I can’t shake the fear of having a cocked striker with a round in the chamber pointed at my delicate parts (front inside waist band carry) so i don’t chamber a round and the striker isn’t cocked. This leaves me at a known and concerning disadvantage should I need a quick discharge.

I’ve been told to just get used to it and trust the trigger safety, but I still am not comfortable with it.

I long for something like an Sig Sauer P320 x compact with DA/SA and a decocker so I can feel comfortable and have a round chambered and ready to fire with longer DA first pull. Am I alone in this wish? Might a P229 Nitron Compact work despite its added weight and width? Are there other options you’d recommend?

Thanks!

Guns & Ammo Hornady CD 9mm loose

I made a post earlier today about my Barnes 9mm coming apart. It got me curious. So I went through checking all of my sd rounds loaded in my mags and this is the condition of my Hornady CDs. I’m genuinely confused at this point. I literally have no idea how this is happening. More than half the rounds I checked are ‘loose’. I don’t unload and reload these. They stay where they are, and hopefully I never have to use them…but at this point, I’m tossing everything but my Speer dot golds WTF
