Rant/Vent I am sick and tired of professors giving their aantu jhantu gyan
One professor asked me and my friend that we eat non veg and we said yes then he started preaching to us why we should not eat non veg and non veg affecting our Brain blah blah. Like shut up bitch , why they can't mind their own business we are not forcing them to eat? And it's not like non veg is harmful for health if anything it's healthier in many cases. It was not first time something like this happened and I am sick of it .

Placements / Jobs Amazon SDE1 Interview Experience October 2026
Hey everyone,
Sharing my full interview experience for the Amazon SDE-1 role (India) from initial outreach through all 4 rounds. The process was spread out over several months with a mix of an on-site drive in Bangalore and virtual rounds on Zoom.
Timeline & Application Flow
- Initial Outreach: Reached out by a recruiter around Sep/Oct of last year. Separately applied to another relevant Job ID in April.
- Online Assessment (OA): Received the OA link in May (~7 months post-initial outreach).
- Hiring Interest Form: Cleared the OA and received the hiring interest form in mid-June.
- Onsite Invite: Mid-July, received confirmation for the in-person Round 1 drive at Amazon's Bangalore office scheduled for July 29th.
Round 1: In-Person Onsite Screening (Bangalore Office)
- Format: Face-to-face on pen and paper (1 SDE-1 + 1 SDE-2 panelist).
- Logistics: Arrived around 9:00 AM, passes handed out, and lunch was arranged by Amazon. Due to scheduling queues across multiple candidates, my slot kicked off around 3:00 PM.
- DSA Questions:
- Variant of Koko Eating Bananas (Binary Search on Answer): Had to explain the search space, define the predicate function, and write complete code on paper.
- Daily Temperatures (Monotonic Stack): Standard monotonic decreasing stack pattern.
- Experience:
- Being my first in-person office interview, I had some initial nerves during the dry runs and tracing steps on paper, but I worked through the boundary cases.
- After the coding portion, they asked about my past experience and had me sketch out high-level system architecture on paper. The panelist cross-checked the design and components, which went smoothly.
- Wrapped up with an engaging 15–20 minute discussion regarding tech, AI.
- Outcome: HR briefed us to wait ~1.5 hours, then informed us that remaining loop rounds would be virtual and that hard eliminations would begin post-Round 2.
Round 2: LLD & Core Problem Solving (Virtual via Zoom)
- Gap: Scheduled roughly 2 weeks after Round 1.
- Interviewer: Senior SDE.
- Format: Started with an LP question followed by live coding in a shared editor.
- Problem: Task / Job Dependency Scheduler (Topological Sort / Kahn’s Algorithm)
- Given boilerplate code, had to implement the core execution queue and scheduling logic.
- Implemented it using Kahn’s Algorithm (indegree tracking + BFS queue) for cycle detection and execution ordering.
- The interviewer dynamically shifted constraints mid-problem, and I was able to adapt the logic and data structures quickly.
Round 3: Hiring Manager / SDM Round (Virtual via Zoom)
- Gap: Approximately one month after Round 2.
- Format: Behavioral (LPs) + Core Problem Solving / System Logic.
- LP Discussion: Started with an LP question focused on doing something different or beyond standard expectations.
- Technical Problem: Design an In-Memory Rate Limiter
- Discussed low-level mechanics and edge cases.
- Walked through the progression from a basic in-memory counter to an optimized sliding window using a
std::dequeto accurately enforce sub-second window boundaries. - The discussion was deep and ran ~10 minutes over schedule, but the interviewer seemed very satisfied with the technical direction and trade-offs.
Round 4: Bar Raiser / Peer Round (Virtual via Zoom)
- Gap: Approximately one month after Round 3.
- Interviewer: Senior SDE from an external org.
- Format: Deep LP evaluation + Candidate Q&A , No DSA(~30–35 mins total).
- LP Probes:
- Started with: "What is something you did outside of / apart from what the job required?" Followed by deep probing into the why, what, operational trade-offs, and metrics.
- Followed up with: "What is the most critical piece of feedback you have received?" Owned a real past gap and clearly explained the corrective mechanism implemented to address it.
- Flow & Wrap-up:
- The interviewer finished all their questions in about 25 minutes, mentioning they had collected all the data points needed.
- We spent the remaining 5–10 minutes on my questions about team structure, mobile/client architectures, and engineering trade-offs. The entire round concluded smoothly in around 30 to 35 minutes.
All Rounds were kinda very DSA heavy and like very deep dive kinda tbh.
Current Status
Currently waiting on the final results/debrief update. Really hoping for a positive outcome!
Happy to answer any general questions about the logistics or DSA patterns in the comments!

Showcase Your Project built a neural network from scratch using numpy and documented the entire mathematics
hey everyone!
recently finished building my first neural network from scratch using Python and NumPy.
it's a small 2 → 3 → 1 XOR network. implemented forward propagation, backpropagation and gradient descent manually to understand how everything actually works.
the repo includes runnable code, mathematical notes, training visualizations and 12 editable diagrams.
also published my first technical article on Medium explaining the entire process.
GitHub: https://github.com/Vaibh37/Neural-Network
would appreciate feedback. if you find the project useful, consider starring the repo 🍀

Rant/Vent Which Internet Service Providor does your college use? How much speed do you get?
In my college they use a local ISP and they provide 1 Gbps speed.
Students get limited to 200Mbps speed in Wi-Fi but most sites are blocked by firewall and torrenting is not possible.
What about you guys?

Rant/Vent Noticed some new BS at computer based exam centres in Delhi
I have been giving these computer based exams since JEE. My college mandates 8 NPTEL online courses and I noticed some changes while giving the last two, a few days ago, which I didn't see before.
First centre is Webinfotron near Ganga international school in Sawada. There is a straight, narrow road with the centre on the left and a building on the right, rest of the area is just fields. The building seems to be specifically made as an accommodation for the centre, it has a waiting room, parking, restroom and a place to keep your bags.
Now let me describe what you see when you come through the road. On both sides, loudspeakers are installed, with both saying opposing warnings: "DON'T KEEP YOUR BAGS WITH THE OTHER GUYS, IF YOU DO, NO ONE WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY". This didn't happen before. Students are queing up on both sides to keep their bags, while the adults are busy in getting a parking spot. Chaos.
I think, why would you ever not keep your bags in the centre? I always keep them in the centre because they are free. So I enter the centre and see that you have to pay to keep bags in the centre now. This didn't happen before. Shouldn't it be free? With the parking and the bags you've successfully monetized every candidate. Take 20 rs from 1000 students and you get 20k rs from one shift. After every candidate has already paid 1k for the exam...
Second centre is ion digital zone in Mathura road. This time, there is a guy in front of the centre gate with a loudspeaker, telling every candidate entering that "GO AND KEEP YOUR BAGS [at a place 100 mtrs away from the centre] AS NO ONE WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY HERE". This didn't happen before. I have given my advanced here. I know that there are plenty of guards always standing on the gates and in front of the bags, and all the workers here had a uniform. This guy isn't a worker in the centre, yet he scares the candidates. The only way you may lose your bag is via a mix-up as they have no token system. Anyway, my friend gets anxiety so we do go to the place 100 mtrs away. There, they are charging 50rs per bag to keep them on a cloth on the road. Its over for you if it rains lol
Now you might be like "bro 20rs mei kya hojata h" but it is not about the money. As I see it enshittifying in real time I was just annoyed. I think it will just get worse from here as 5 guys with loudspeakers will shout over each other next year

Placements / Jobs Can i use my PPO to land an internship?
Recently got placed at Capgemini through campus placements for the Full Time SDE role, starting July 2027. I need to complete an internship for my 8th semester and was wondering how do I apply for one now that I am barred from further campus placements. I use portals like getsig.in, talentd, linkedin, naukri, indeed but have found no luck till now. Is there some verified way to land a decent paid internship? What methods have you guys tried? Reaching out on linkedin doesnt work anymore since you cannot message anyone outside connections.
PS: would be helpful if someone has any referrals for a 4-6 months internship in AIML, Data Analytics/Data Science, SDE etc. I can start Jan 2027.

Placements / Jobs Anyone heard back from insightsoftware after the 14 October OA? (2026 Intern Drive)
Hey everyone,
I appeared for the insightsoftware Associate Software Engineer internship drive. The online assessments (Eval Ground at 12 PM and UCAT at 1 PM) were conducted on 14 October 2026.
During the pre placement session, they mentioned that the entire selection process would be completed by 24 October, including the technical and managerial interview rounds.
I haven't received any updates yet, so I wanted to ask a few things:
- Has anyone received an interview call or any update after the OA?
- Did anyone receive a rejection email, or are most candidates still waiting?
- Does anyone know the expected internship stipend?
- Is there a possibility of a PPO (full-time offer) after the internship? If anyone has information about previous batches, please share.
I'm only looking for updates about the hiring timeline and internship experience, not assessment questions.
Would appreciate any information. Thanks!
