I guess this one is kind of a shout out to okbuddyptfo ....the real inspiration behind this post.
What is the deal with the multiplayer deploy screen always being some kind of freaking SOUND STAGE?
In Battlefield 1, your squad would stand proudly on the FIELD OF BATTLE. BFV I guess it was always an Aerodrome. Still miffed they took away our ability to pick what faction would be shown there. We all became Americans for the Pacific I guess. Our GPUs screamed at 100% to render the squad deploy screen.
Then Battlefield 2042 came out, and the deploy screen would be either the Exodus, or flight deck of some carrier, or a hanger somewhere. A jeep would be there, whatever. When you deployed, the helicopter would TAKE OFF or something. That was COOL man.
Then at some point, it stopped being a military base, and it just became, some kind of theatre or something. The squad would stand in front of... TV screens? Well shit. Every bloody season since then, the squad is now ALWAYS on a sound stage. What is this sound stage? Why are we looking at battlefield LOADING SCREENS behind our dudes? This is totally NUKING my immersion.
DICE... PLEASE TAKE US OFF your little Hollywood sound stage, and put us BACK INTO THE REALISM.
Thank you, PSA rant over.
