FAQ
Is Armored Core 6 Just Dark Souls With Mechs?
No. There are some pretty notable Souls elements present. But first and foremost this is an Armored Core game. From the way the levels have been designed to the way you traverse them to the core components of combat, there is a substantial amount separating Armored Core 6 from the other modern FromSoftware titles.
Is Armored Core 6 As Hard As A Souls Game?
No, maybe.. Uhhh, well it's a Fronsoftware game. Don't give up skeleton!!
Is Armored Core 6 An Open World Game?
No, Armored Core 6's Rubicon 3 will be explored via missions. Each mission will take you to a different stage. Each stage will have a set beginning and ending. Though, the bit in between the start and end allows you to explore each area quite a bit, and as the game progresses you will be rewarded for exploring.
Do I Need To Play The Previous Armored Core Games?
No. While Armored Core 6 is set in the same universe, it is a wholly fresh story. So, you don't have to worry about getting lost in the narrative.
Does Armored Core 6 Have Multiplayer?
Yes! But PVP only. Upon completing the "Ocean Crossing" mission in the second chapter of Armored Core 6, you will unlock the NEST mode. This will allow you to face off against other players and see how you perform against other humans.
How Much Can You Customize Your Mech In Armored Core 6?
There is an incredible amount of customization present in Armored Core 6. From the ability to tweak every component of your AC to providing them with a custom paint job, we are quite confident in saying that you will be able to build an AC that will make you proud. You can even design your own emblem and place it anywhere on your mech. You have that level of customization. This isn't just a matter of aesthetics, either. Designing your AC—and even retooling them mid-mission—is a pretty significant part of the gameplay!
How Do I Share Custom Emblems?
You can only share with people in the same platform as you. In order to upload your work of art, you will need to first confirm that you are online. Now, select your emblem in the Image Editor, and enter into the "Image Controls" option. Finally, select "Upload". This will give you a Share ID. You can now give that to others and they can download your emblem!
As for downloading other emblems, in the Image Editor, select the "Downloaded" tab, and you will be able to enter in one of these Share IDs.
Does Armored Core 6 Have Multiple Endings?
Yes. There are specific missions that are directly tethered to the specific route you take to complete the game. Don't worry, these paths are relatively easy to distinguish. Around the mid-way point of the game, you will be provided with certain choices that will send you down different branches of the narrative.
Does Armored Core 6 Have A New Game Plus Mode?
Yes. There is some content that is locked to the New Games Plus. This includes additional boss encounters. But more importantly, there are specific endings that are only obtainable after you complete the game. In fact, you will need to go up to the third playthough to unlock all content.
Is The Moonlight Greatsword In Armored Core 6?
Yes.

ARMORED CORE 6 FIRES OF RUBICON - Beginner's Guide: Basic Strategy and Combat Theory
The three key points to the strategy and combat of AC6
Three-dimensional action unique to mechs

Observe and Learn

Assembly Ingenuity

There are three key points when it comes to AC strategy and combat.
In order to break through tough situations, strong enemies, bosses, and other challenges that await you throughout the missions, it is important to observe and learn repeatedly, an approach to difficulty that is common to FromSoftware's action titles.
In addition to that, AC6's unique three-dimensional action and assembly ingenuity are also essential to the game.
Only by combining these three approaches we can overcome the difficulties.

Theories in AC combat
Observing and learning
The approach to difficulty that is common to FromSoftware's action titles is also effective in this title.
In AC6, it is important to observe and learn enemy behavior and situations, and use clues to adjust your strategy, rather than blindly trying the same tactic over and over.
Three-dimensional action unique to mechs
In AC6, the player has the ability to move not only horizontally but also forward, backward, and vertically in all directions within three-dimensional space, allowing for omni-directional combat movement.
Utilizing this omni-directional action, which is unique to mechs, is fundamental to AC combat.
It is very important to be aware that the battle space in AC6 is not flat but three-dimensional.
Take advantage of the space dynamically and utilize omni-directional movement to overcome the many combat situations you will find yourself in.
Assembly Ingenuity
There are three categories of parts that make up the AC: weapons, frame parts, and inner parts.
Weapons affect attack power, frames affect strength and action, and inner parts affect agility and response of the AC.
The different parts change not only the action, but also the style of play and its strategy.
Sometimes, the assembly itself can be the clue to successfully overcoming difficult situation.
The first step in the assembly process is to decide what kind of AC you want to use for the mission.

2. Frame parts
3. Internal parts

Assembly Tips
Assembling parts related to kinematic performance is important to achieve the action the player desires. Legs, generators, and boosters are as important as weapons selection, since they affect speed and maneuverability.
Each part has the same selling/buying price. If you are in an economic situation where you cannot buy the parts you want for your build, you can sell the parts you have on hand to secure funds.
Approaches to gaining advantage in battles
Stagger and heavy damage
There are two elements in AC6: power and impact.
By attacking an enemy, they will accumulate impact instability, as indicated by the gauge over the target. When this gauge is full, the enemy loses its stance.
This state is called "staggered".
Staggered enemies take critical damage the entire time they are in this state. Certain weapons also inflict more impact damage, so consider that when building your mech.
Be mindful that your mech can be staggered as well, exposing you to immense danger.
In battles against strong enemies, it is important to actively aim to stagger and create opportunities to inflict heavy damage.

Simultaneous use of multiple weapons
The AC can be equipped with weapons in up to four locations, on both hands and shoulders, and can fight using these weapons simultaneously.
The AC can perform multiple actions simultaneously, such as boosting and moving, firing machine guns in both hands, and firing missiles at the same time. Combat in AC is not clearly divided into offensive and defensive maneuvers.
You can also attack while defending or dogding.
Always keep in mind that you can be both offensive and defensive in combat.

Anyone wonders why they didn't do a Legacy Edition for AC series like they do for Metal Gear since saw the prices for the original games jeez am glad AC 6 affordable but they would easily make a good profit with a AC Legacy Edition including every numbered game in the series and maybe some of the non numbered ones like Last Raven while adding improvements to the graphics en gameplay just abit maybe even add a replay mission mode for experimental building for players would pay 80$ for it since it would be a great way to experience the series all in 1 while bein on a capable system like the PS4
I have just started chapter 3, the last boss was decent but only took 1 death to learn everything I needed and beat it with only some difficulty near the end.
This AC is my current configuration that I consider my favorite. Decent amount of stopping power against most mechs, I usually alternate between the shoulder lasers and the missle launcher (mech reaches nearly 350 boost with those). Just wanted to know if I'm missing anything, this is a much faster version of what I took Balteus down with (its boost was less than 300). I definitely prefer a mix of bulk while still being able to move hence why I tried to lighten it a bit.
Also I enjoy new builds and with this new chapter unlocked im looking forward to trying new things.
I wasnt sure if everyone goes back to older posts so I just decided to make a new one.
My AC is a bipedal with 12000 ac and around 296 boost. Its bulky and has some pretty strong weapons but not the most maneuverable or agile.
Armed with the pulse gun, laser blade and dual shoulder lasers, i engaged Balteus again. I was a bit worried with this attempt since I had been struggling really hard with Sulla today for some reason. So I was a little surprised that I managed to defeat Balteus after only 1 death.
Anyway melted thru about 2/3 of his health while he was staggered allowing me a lot of breathing room for part 2 of the fight.
Which I needed as he proceeded to catch me in that fire attack. I managed to kill him with 2000 ac remaining while he was mid attack with a blade strike.
I almost roared at my TV as he blew up. It felt great but gonna take a minute to just enjoy b4 pushing thru chapter 2. Thanks to everyone who wished me luck. If anyone ever needs a good hang im there you got this thrown their way Im definitely gonna pay it forward.
Hey, at the very end of the 3rd playthrough and I'm honestly at wits end with this fight. I can get through the first 2 phases in pretty good shape, but I can't seem to do anything to the last phase where allmind gets these giant melee attacks and super speed. I feel like I've tried nearly every iteration of every strategy and I just can't do it. Do you guys have any advice? How did y'all beat it?
1st time playing an armored core game so wasnt sure what I was in for. Bought the game monday and aside from a few issues with a helicopter it had been going well.
Typically would play 1 or 2 new missions a day while replaying some of the ones I had beaten.
Then came Sulla, this wasn't the first issue I had playing the game but he felt like a wall for my character the first time I went in. Like Sulla would destroy me with only moderate effort, but I learned and eventually pushed through. And got to the resupply... which told me everything I needed to know going forward.
Enter Belteus, the real pos of chaper 1, it has been roughly a day since I started and good lord. I've come so close like I could taste this thing's blood lol. But in all seriousness, I'm a bit frustrated and for today I've given up. Mostly just due to the hours I've spent on the game but will come back tomorrow and I will take that sob down.
This is a really fun game and Im looking forward to taking him down and going further. Just wanted to vent thoughts, I've heard others have had issues.
So I just recently 100% the game, but I have come to realize I still haven't gotten all of the arena unlocked yet? I looked up YouTube tutorials and play throughs and they seemed to be unlocked in new game++. So I am not sure what I am missing here but would love the help.
I have looked at so many guides and tried different builds but I am too old and not skilled enough for this! Lost count of the number of times I get it to about 1/4 life left second time around and the swooping coral hits get me. Every time. I seem totally incapable of reacting quick enough to get out of the way.
I have invested too much time in this game, slowly getting better, to give up now but I can no longer count how many times I have failed this boss. One guy on Youtube took it down in less than 2 minutes and even trying their way I take too long and end up dead.
Can anyone please offer build tips, battle advice? I've tried melee, heavy hitting, light tank, quad legs........I am lost as to what to do. At least with Balteus (feels to me like Balteus is still second toughest boss) I knew I was getting there but with this I fail at the same point no matter what I try.
So early in the year I lucked out and found armored core 6 for PS4 on temu for 20 bucks. And I've had tons of fun especially trying to get every ending. And what made it better was getting coral weapons but I fucked up. After drinking and deciding to watch a movie with my partner. But I was irresponsible and places armored cores disc on my PlayStation and went to sleep. Well that morning I discovered that the kittens my partner had recently acquired had knocked it down and got scratches it just slightly but the game kept playing but after taking a break to play to different games I tried reinstalling it and then the problems arose. It will finish installing but when I go to play it I will get around to the 4th or 5th mission Maybe the 6th before giving me like an error screen telling me I can continue when the game finishes installing but there's no background install at all and I come to believe that it's the minor damages on the disc that are causing this issue but weren't relevant until I went to reinstall. And um there is no more copies on temu and I'm pretty sure the only stores I can physically find it are almost an hour away an I'm not in a position to drive there at this time is there anyone who has a physical copy I could buy for a similar price cause my partner won't let me spend a lot on games and with how PlayStation is with their market I don't blame her but please id appreciate any offers.
I've run through this mission ~5x now. I found the damaged mech near the start where you have to flip around and go backwards in a tunnel to find it. I've killed the boss. I've been all over the level and can't find any other possible battle logs.
I got annoyed enough that I even looked it up on Youtube and the only two battle logs shown are the one near the beginning in that busted mech and the boss. What am I missing?
I’ve just put a video up on YouTube a couple of days ago. Armored Core 6:All Missions, No Damage + S Rank with my AC, 07-Bright 🤖
It’s 6.5 hours long. There are timestamps in the video description if you want to skip to a chapter or mission.
I also have a Complete Collection playlist with all the missions separated, as well as chapter by chapter episodes if you want to check it out in smaller chunks.
Same AC used for all missions. Sometimes changed the FCS depending on the combat situation.
Weapons were also limited as well. I use Ransetsu, Harris, 6 cell and laser slicer/ pulse blade for about 44/59 of the missions. Then there are a few missions with an Earshot/s, Zimmermans or a Stun Needle Launcher. The loadouts are at the end of the video and also in a separate video on the channel.
Hope you enjoy the video! Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to assist.
So i started to play AC again, finished ending 1 yesterday, and i noticed that i play almost the same build as in my first playthrough.
Gatling on right arm, for surpression fire, laser lance or pile bunker on left to hit once the stagger occures, and dual songbird on shoulders just to destroy groups and do crazy dmg. The parts are all as light as possible, since a lighter ac is more fun to play.
This works pretty well but i wouldnt mind to try different, but still strong PvE builds.
I'm pretty much at the *exact* dome building shown in the pic even watched a walk through showing the exact area left of the down drone marker and the enemy not spawning I already got the gear chest and just replaying missions to get all the logs before finishing the first play through but this the only log having issues with
I'm new to AC games and new to From Software but am loving AC 6, playing on PS5, even though I am finding some of it SO hard. Bosses here seem to be on a whole new level compared to bosses in other games I've played. The few in-game so far I have persevered with and beaten but I have reached Balteus and no matter what I try I cannot get beyond 50% when they up their attacks.
Three bits of advice please:
What is the best build to take Balteus on? Have tried many combos and get to the same point (50% damage)
Are there any special tactics I need to be using other than 'break shield, hit hard, try not to get hit yourself'?
Why does my aim lock ALWAYS disappear. In the middle of a really tough fight and the enemy sweeps past and I spend the next several seconds trying to find them again and get my lock back on! Seems aim-lock switches off the moment you even think about touching the right stick!
Is there anything else I need to know? Just seems that as soon as I get it to 50% it becomes stronger, more mobile and more direct.
I'm at the point where I am losing the sense of fine as I cannot find a way through.
