do you guys ever think the hate for the new seasons and their emergencies is like a little too much, i know they obviously killed bobby off for so called realism but that was clearly just some form of excuse 😭 i just feel like you can't take that seriously and then ignore all the other insane stuff that happened in s1-start of 8 and also lonestar and now nashville it was clearly never a realistic show nor were their spinoffs ?

EDIT thank you guys for being nice and having a nice discussion with me in the comments!! it makes a change to other conversations ive had with people abt the show so i appreciate it! :)

i’m rewatching season 1 of nashville and i’m reminded of a question i’ve had for a while—why is there a lieutenant and a paramedic captain in lone star and nashville but not in the main show, which takes place in the biggest city?

‼️season 9 spoilers ahead‼️

i guess you could see hen (previously chimney) as a paramedic captain, but who would the lieutenant be? buck seems like the only non-paramedic firefighter in the 118 that’s been there long enough to qualify.
