Is it possible to use very basic shaders in Minecraft for the Xbox 360? It would be a good idea to see someone try to do it and get it working. What do you all think?

Hey everyone, I know this isn't directly related to Xbox 360, but I wanted to warn the community about a potential security issue involving Better16, a Roblox revival project with an Xbox 360 port.

I previously downloaded and ran the Better16 PC app, and Windows Defender detected Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.H!ml in RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe, a file associated with a download from better16.xyz.

I also encountered a Google Safe Browsing warning when visiting better16.wtf, stating that the website could harm my computer.

As a precaution, I eventually formatted both of my hard drives and reinstalled Windows.

I've also come across other community posts raising concerns about Better16's privacy practices and potential data collection, including IP addresses. However, I haven't independently verified all of these claims, and an antivirus detection alone doesn't establish exactly what the application may have done.

Based on my experience, I'd recommend avoiding the Better16 PC and mobile apps until their security has been independently investigated. I don't know whether the Xbox 360 port itself is affected, so I'm not making any claims about the console version.

I'm attaching screenshots of the Windows Defender detection and the Google Safe Browsing warning for reference.

Has anyone found a reliable technical analysis of the Better16 apps?

Stay safe, everyone.

It's on android, and ps vita, just thought it was weird its not on the 360 yet, seems fitting. I know the og halo ce is backwards compatible, but this one can add QOL improvements and some forks even having offline bots, multiplayer, third person, 128 players, etc

Recently did the badavatar mod on my Winchester 360. Mod works great by itself but wanted to jump online so I downloaded xbguard. It seems to only work like half the time. It crashes a lot, freezing, takes forever to connect to Xbox live. And if I do get into a game god forbid I try and switch to a different game to play.. anyone else having these issues with xbguard and badavatar? If anyone has any suggestions or just think its software related let me know, thanks !

So just wanted to post my first successful launch of Moonlight360.

I have multiple consoles and devices and one of the first things I install is Moonlight so I can connect to my desktop PC on tablets or modded consoles to play games that might not work on the device.

Searching 360 I noticed, no moonlight exsisted only a post from years ago that it wasnt possible. Its been alot of work but I have finally got to streaming the video from sunshine to the xbox and input detected. There is still tons of work to be done but thought Id share this.

Understand as it is now, its a long work in process. I have been working on this for awhile and expect a ton more work ahead. Stream is limited to 720p 30fps at the moment.

I've been using ABadUpdate for some time just fine, decided to try Avatar. Upgraded my existing badupdate usb according to Marios' guide on youtube. It worked fine, until I tried gaming. I installed DiRT 2, got through to the beginning of the first race and received the "fatal crash intercepted". I rebooted and tried "Blur" - same thing, crashed when i started a race. Then i thought may be plugged in USB is causing crashes. This USB had nothing except DiRT 2 in GOD format, but after unplugging it crashes with this message stopped. Although, I did get one freeze. No message, just a console freeze. So my questions are:
1) Is this normal that avatar is messing up games when USB is plugged in? I mean kind of like abadupdate is crashing if two usb sticks are plugged in.
2) Did I just got unlucky with the freeze or should I worry about this? I've seen a couple recommendations from YT comments about NOT using avatar from HDD.
3) Maybe there's just something in the config.ini that i missed and might cause problems? The only line I know for sure is still in the config containing Usb:\ path is in the "BUT_X = ". I can't understand what this section in the config means and i can't think of a reason why it causes crashes in games, not in the aurora home.

Haven't posted on here in a hot minute. Got an order for an 8 TB slim (ended up doing a 3.5 hard drive chassis instead of the DVD delete mod). He wanted it to be GTA IV themed for the boot and eject sounds. Replaced the LEDs for him to fit the theme. Miss doing these 😮‍💨

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to share the first development release of HarissaDC, my new Dreamcast emulator for the Xbox 360.

I've tested it with Crazy Taxi, Shenmue, and Sonic Adventure. There's still a lot to improve, and many games may have graphical glitches, slowdowns, or fail to boot.

I'm sharing this early build to get feedback from the community. I believe your reports and suggestions will be a huge help in identifying issues and deciding what to focus on next.

This is just the beginning. Thanks for helping

Ciao.

Hello beautiful people. I work at a pawn shop and I noticed these two 360 at the sales floor. I did some digging yesterday about the different models and such but as a Nintendo baby all my life I just got more confused. Anyways, which system is the better to get and mod it nowdays? Apparently neither of them have been modified according to the data base. Thanks a lot!

ETA: thanks for the comments I decided to use my employee discount on the phat model. Thanks everyone for helping me decide

I’ve bought an Xbox 360 e and a usb stick to install bad update and bad avatar, but after looking it up, it seems that bad builder is only available on windows, is there some work around that works on mac.

Any help would be appreciated I’m new to modding

Thank you

I’ve been using Bad Update for quite a while but I would like to ditch my USB stick for jailbreaking the console… I never used ABadAvatar so I don’t know if it’s smaller or what… Can I do like I copy them files to the memory unit and insert it whenever I want to run the BadAvatar or it just doesn’t work that way?

Harissa64 2.0.5

These are the images I have received from the seller offering a console in my country for around 45-50 USD (converted to USD from HUF). After discussing with AI and checking the consolemods wiki as well I think this is an opus motherboard in a xenon chassis. (correct me if I'm wrong). Is it possible to hw-mod it (rgh chip) and how hard is it? (i have soldered before and modded a v2 switch)
