It's really annoying that HD needs to suffer with WoD era customization. They did include eyebrows from the SL era which proves they can in fact separate HD and SD customizations. Please add more.

Blizzard, please bring Warcraft III armor sets to WoW Forever!
Classic WoW didn’t appear out of nowhere. It was built on Warcraft III. The races, the factions, the heroes, the zones, the look of the armies: almost everything we love about Azeroth was shaped in the RTS games first. Warcraft III is the real heritage of Classic, and it’s the reason so many of us walked into WoW in the first place.
That’s why so many players would love to see the units they grew up with show up in the game as armor sets. Imagine running through Durotar as a Blademaster, a Grunt, or a Shaman, exploring Hillsbrad Foothills, or fighting in Alterac Valley in full Footman armor. That’s the kind of nostalgia that fits Classic perfectly, because it’s not a new idea but a return to the roots.
These sets would fit the spirit of Classic too: simple, recognizable, grounded, yet unmistakably fantasy. Strong silhouettes, clear faction identity, and designs that every RTS veteran knows by heart.
Some of the units I’d love to see:
Alliance: Footman, Knight, Rifleman, Priest, Sorceress, Gryphon Rider
Horde: Grunt, Raider, Headhunter, Troll Berserker, Tauren, Shaman, Witch Doctor, Spirit Walker, Blademaster
Undead: Acolyte, Necromancer, Ghoul, Banshee
Night Elves: Archer, Huntress, Druid of the Claw, Druid of the Talon, Priestess of the Moon
I already made a separate post about the Footman set, which is where this idea started for me: https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwowplus/s/UL7wcluItG
Warcraft III gave Classic WoW its soul. Let’s give players a way to wear it.

It regens so mana health and mana while your out just grinding mobs doing quests, it basically increases the amount of mobs you can kill by about 30-40% before you would need to eat and drink again. First 5 Legacy points you get and your focus is leveling, I recommend this first and foremost.
The extra talents legacy perk certainly is nice, but it requires 10 points while this only needs the first 5. And rarely will a new talent cut down "down time" as much as this will over the course of 60 levels.

I just can’t find a reason to like the Undead race. I’ve been playing Horde for years, but the more I read about the Forsaken, the more I realize that most of them don’t seem to enjoy being undead. Many of them hate what they’ve become, and apparently, they can’t even enjoy food the way the living do.
One of the things I love about WoW is immersing myself in the fantasy of my character’s life. I like the idea of being a chef, a fisherman, and just a general enjoyer of life in Azeroth. But that fantasy seems a little at odds with the Forsaken.
So, I’m turning to the lore buffs out there: Are there any cool, wholesome, or inspirational stories about the Forsaken that might give me a different perspective on them? Any characters, events, or lore moments that show there’s more to being undead than misery, hatred, and revenge?
I’d love to find a reason to appreciate the race beyond its aesthetic and dark vibe!

What are your guys thoughts on them reducing the rain? I personally wish they didn’t change it.

The SD models in Forever use the HD skeletons from Retail. On most races this is fine and the difference is hardly noticeable, but on others it's really obvious - male Tauren (pictured), male Nelf and male Undead in particular.
The Tauren's arms now flare outward from the body, rather than parallel to it. I think they're also slightly longer. This creates the illusion of narrower shoulders and a less imposing stature on Tauren - who are meant to be the most physically imposing of all races.
The idle animation doesn't help either. Their breathing is more exaggerated, giving that bouncier 'retail' feel. The same can be said of male Nelves and their weird side-to-side swaying.
Blizzard actually already have made small adjustments, like fixing the neck position that male Nelves have in Retail (which I think has gone down unanimously well with male Nelf players) So a couple more tweaks would go even further <3
I hope that Blizz's animators will do some adjustments to the skeletons here and there in the future. IMO Tauren and Nelves just don't look as cool as they used to.
(Obligatory note to say I love Forever and I'm mega excited for launch. This is just constructive feedback that people have made before, but I wanted to lend another voice to).
Edit: I know Blizz already re-made the Classic running animations on these models, and they look great. Just goes further to show they can & are willing to make adjustments, so it's useful to provide this feedback.

Bliz fix this. I don't want to only play during the dark night times. This sounds depressing. We are comming towards summer days here in Australia. Super sunny here. Its going to be so hard seeing the screen/world. Make the cycle 12 hours not 24.

Currently, Tauren have the fewest available classes in WoWF: only 4. Which leads to frequent requests to have new classes added, with Tauren Paladins or Priests mentioned the most frequently, and I understand why.
However, I think there are some important concerns regarding lore, class fantasy, and immersion that should be considered before re-introducing these classes.
In Cataclysm, Tauren Paladins were introduced as “Sunwalkers” - Taurens that draw their power from An’she, the sun deity from Tauren tradition (so no serious lore issues here). The problem is that this distinction wasn’t properly reflected beyond that. Just look at traditional Paladin ability names: Crusader Strike, Blessing of Kings, Templar’s Verdict, etc.
These names are obviously coming European, Christian-inspired knightly traditions that influenced the original Paladin design and fit the lore of the Eastern Kingdoms. But what do crusaders, templars, and kings have to do with the Tauren of Kalimdor? The same applies to much of the Paladin armor, weapons, and visual identity, which are heavily inspired by the human kingdoms of the Eastern Kingdoms.
Simply calling a Tauren Paladin a “Sunwalker” doesn’t resolve this conflict. A similar issue, although to a much lesser extent, exists with Priests. Abilities like “Divine Hymn” don’t particularly fit Tauren class fantasy.
And it’s worth remembering that WoW Classic already had a precedent for addressing such differences through race-specific Priest abilities, which reflected different racial and religious backgrounds.
Overall, both Priests and Paladins could work well if they were adapted to Tauren culture rather than simply copying the existing human-inspired class fantasy. For example, certain abilities could have unique names, icons, or visual effects inspired by An’she, the Earth Mother, and Tauren traditions, without changing any gameplay mechanics.
Most players probably care more about having access to a Tauren Paladin than whether their character uses an ability called “Crusader Strike”. But these seemingly small details are part of what made Classic so special, and Azeroth would feel much more immersive in the long run if these distinctions were preserved.

I inspect pretty much every paladin I run past, and keep seeing the same thing: 5/5 Benediction.
Not sure where it comes from, maybe vanilla manadepending mentality or guides from major resourses like Icy Veins which runs 5/5 Benediction, Warcraft Tavern calls Benediction one of the “obvious choices”, Wowhead's Seal Twist leveling path puts levels 10–14 straight into it and many more.
But here I am to lead you into light!
Benediction makes sense ONLY when you're standing behind a raid boss, not getting hit and trying to squeeze out more DPS.
But we're not raiding now. We're leveling.
Benediction gives you:
5 points = 10% less mana on instant spells and abilities.
Mana is the problem only when spamming Consecration (20lvl+), but one tier later Holy Conduit gives you:

2 points = 40% less mana on Consecration, Exorcism, Holy Wrath and Hammer of Wrath.
5 points for 10%.
2 points for 40%.
Now look at Deflection:

5 points = +5% parry.
In pure avoidance terms, that's roughly 60 Agility worth of dodge at level 30(~100 at level 60).
And parry is better than plain avoidance here because Parry Haste makes your next weapon swing 40% faster. For Ret, that' some nice extra swings.

So once again: while leveling, farming or doing PvP Deflection is better. Benediction may be the better talent for endgame raids only.

I recently posted about the spectral wolf not fitting well into the classic world and that they had a classic one they could've used. They confirmed its not meant for this version of the game! Huge W

So i just opened my mail and got this warning. Which is dope and I'm all for in general, except that the character sending it is one of my own alts on the same account. And i know its all natural since I haven't bought gold. I think warnings like this are a good thing, but maybe blizz should make sure to not have it be from alts, because this could get annoying fast.

There have been a few posts noticing the Skyborne's permanent Dalaran portal has been removed from the Beta.
This is a good change.
Part of the philosophy of Classic involves travel time, allowing you to fast travel to different zones invalidates the world and what they set out to do in Forever.
Keep portals for Mages.
EDIT: and Warlock summoning of course

New patch, and the PvP armor for horde paladins still uses the alliance paladin look, same for alliance shamans having the horde shaman look.
The PvP sets should be consistent with their faction and not use a look from the other faction.
Please blizzard, give these two classes the look they deserve for their faction.

POV you just hit level 20 as a druid and want to unlock cat form but the glade only has one layer, I don't see enough posts about this and if this is the situation right now, a month into the beta, I can't even imagine what's gonna be like on launch.
The respawn timer on this should be instant, there's no reason not to.
Update: it got hotfixed! W devs
