WoW: Forever Potential New Mounts, Pets, and Cosmetics Discovered in Latest WoW: Forever Build

Yes, please, cosmetic items in Forever is one feature from retail I would love in classic experience. The RPG vibe of being able to aesthetically express your character the way you want is game changing, for me, so I was already hyped up when they announced transmog the way it is (being able to turn on and off is superb) and a blademaster mog is just chef's kiss for me. What do you all think?

Edit: Confirmed that these were not intended for Forever: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/datamined-in-the-latest-beta-build/2385060 thanks u/usernam

Discussion Bellular Calls For WoW's Writers To Lose Their Jobs. Has He Gone Too Far? Spoiler

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYynmnzzNsA

Bellular made a video where he talks about the recent Story Drama. In the video he calls the story team "Pathetic excuses for writers" and that they should be fired for the poor job they do. He also said AI could write a better story on social media. Anyone else think this is a bit too much? I don't even think Midnight has been good since 12.0.5, but this dude seems desperate to recapture Shadowlands-Level Engagement farming.

None of this even makes sense since he makes hype videos all the time about future story and has praised Midnight's level-up campaign plenty of times. It feel like he's become nothing but a grifter trying to ragebait drama. Well he mustve done something right if im willing to talk about it. But it's just sad seeing a creator i used to love devolve into petty insults and drama farming.

(Just to be clear, I do not like the recent cutscene at all and feel like it's rushing a big moment.)

WoW: Forever Anyone else getting burned out by the negativity from the classic community?

Honestly it's like RuneScape 3 community all over again who just destroyed a unique server I feel like the classic community here is doing the same thing. They're doing everything in their power to destroy this and make it classic which it's not it's wow forever.

Discussion Probably going to regret this.... Not understanding war complaints

The entire quest text of this campaign (and several others) is about how they hate each other and still don't forgive? Yet the Internet paints this as friendship and bubbles. Am I missing something?

Or is it really just people want less words and more slaughter?

(side note: if you study war, uneasy alliances are common and people usually do go back to hating each other?)

Question Labyrinth Nemesis as a healer

I read multiple reports on here that, as a healer, the nemesis at the end of a labyrinth is a joke and that people easily skip phases.

After a bugged run on Wednesday where I couldn't progress a room I tried again last night. No more bugs so I had a deathless run on my 326 ilvl Hpriest until I tried to kill the nemesis.

It went terrible. Maybe I'm failing stuff or was just unlucky but I died again and again.

* I don't get the tiger loa mechanic at all. I stand in a line, tigers rush in on another side and even when I move in front of the one that charges it still hits Valeera, giving me a stack of the 'missed mechanic' debuff. Advice welcome.

* Getting the Juggernaut that charges you at the same time as one of the loa mechanics almost always means instant fail. Got it during Nalorak's Charge and it knocked me into a bear, dead, got it during the bird soak, charged me right out of the soak, dead again. Valeera won't damage the juggernaut when she has to stack so zero chance to kill it before it charges.

* Spinning axes that spawn on me when I need to stand still for one of the loa mechanics feel very cheap and often results in multiple stacks.

I killed the 12.1 snake nemesis the first day it came out so by no means am I a terrible player, but this was a frustrating experience. Best attempt was 5% and he dies relatively quickly when Valeera is actually damaging him and not ads or just standing around. Seems I have to be in melee range for her to start attacking, but then I'm in danger of spinning axes spawning on me.

Question Pondering, painfully.

So, here we are again.

Hey folks, It's your favorite mythical creature: The unsure player.

I played through TWW and stopped before the Undermine content arrived because I ran out of friends to play with. You know how it goes.

And with Forever just right around the corner, I'm more excited than ever to come back; I even amassed / wore down a solid group of pals that are all in.

My issue here is Retail man, I had a blast raiding in TWW (I'm not a 10+ burned-out player, although I feel for them, must be hard) and one of these aforementioned friends is inviting me to engage with Midnight knowing all that it entails.

The grind, the grind, the grind.

And I've read SO much about how Retail sucks. I just need someone to shed a little light about what is enjoyable about it. Push me. Push us.

Otherwise, I'll just become a jogger and wait for Forever.

Question Never played WoW before. Want to start with WoW Forever

As the title says I never played WoW before (I did, but probably 5h total lifetime)

I am watching soo many videos about WoW Forever and I kinda fell in love with the game.

I dont really know how hard it is but I want to get into it and learn.

Is it a good idea to start with the upcoming WoW Forever, or just stick with retail?

Discussion Warcraft Movie

I really don’t understand any of the negativity that came with the release of the Warcraft movie. I just watched it for the second time and as a casual fan, thought it was a pretty good movie. What am I missing? Are people just treating this like Star Wars fans treat their movies and shows?

Discussion Runescape style worlds vs Sharding - why hasn't this been proposed?

Choice at log in, can set favorites, 30 min cd to switching worlds, only available in rest areas. This allows for Worlds to retain their own identity - why can't this be done? Isn't it a no brainer?

Discussion The Heavy Hitter cast was put on PTO until The Last Titan; that's why the world feels empty and the story feels bland.

All of the A-List characters are doing their own thing until we have to "Assemble a special Team" this theory is why I have hope for the rest of the saga

Thrall, Jaina, Tyrande, Malfurion, Illidan, Khadgar, Genn Greymane, Calia, Vol'Jin, Sylvanas, and whatever Tauren is in charge now. (Sad that I can't name one important living Tauren off the top of my head)

WoW: Forever WoW Forever: Dwarfs should have a racial that is centered around their love for ale

Make it so that when a dwarf drinks ale some kind of temporary buff happens.

Maybe when a Dwarf drinks ale they gain 2% increased attack damage or spell power for 15 seconds.

Or maybe they gain a speed boost?

Or they gain increased output from mining?

And put a cooldown on it where if they drink another ale in the next couple mins they get debuffed saying they drank too much and need to sit down.

I don’t know. Trying to think of ideas that fit their lore instead of having 2 racials that are shared with other races. I’m sure we can think of something more fun than invisible stat sticks. And a racial that isn’t shared with another racial.

Discussion Spoiler: Was the story changed last second to what we have now Spoiler

Remaking these for the people that have successfully avoided spoilers so far.

Don't continue reading if you don't want spoilers for the recent patch

Okay, a little while ago we had these leaks

Lots of people snarked about them due to their stage-directions and all, but if these were legit at the time... (as in these would be given to the animators for the cutscene) Liadrin was meant to survive only 3 months ago.

So either they were a well-guessed fake (granted, the story is not that hard to guess) or they changed the story in less than three months, while the expansion is already live and the animators have already set to work on those scenes

Discussion Newbie

Hey everyone!
I literally just started playing World of Warcraft today, and I’m excited to get into the game! 😅 I’m completely new and have A LOT of questions, so I figured I’d come here and introduce myself.

I’d love to meet other people who are just starting out so we can learn the game together, figure things out, and hopefully make some friends along the way.

I’m also open to advice from experienced players! There’s so much to learn, and I honestly don’t even know what questions I should be asking yet. 😂

A few things I’d love some help with:
● What are some things you wish you knew when you first started?
● Are there any beginner mistakes I should avoid?
● What should I focus on early in the game?
● Is it better to play solo or find people to play with?
● Any recommendations for classes, professions, or things I shouldn’t miss?

If you’re also a new player, feel free to comment! It would be awesome to find other beginners to learn and explore the game with.

And if any experienced players enjoy helping out new people, I’d appreciate any tips or advice you have!
Looking forward to getting into WoW and meeting some of you! 😊

Question Leveling in vanilla content in retail?

While waiting for Forever I returned to the retail version for now after a couple of years not playing the game. I started with a fresh character and went to do some vanilla content for some missing achievements. Zonescaling made the trip upto now a nice experience, but I understand that the zone scaling in vanilla is capped at level 30. I'm now level 35, so mobs are a one hit kill and quests give very little xp. Is there another way to play through the vanilla content while still maintaining normal xp for leveling my character and getting appropriate loot in retail? Or does it end here and do I explicitly have to go to newer zones (like Bof?) for the faster leveling?

Discussion I understand the frustration of Horde players regarding their racial leaders, but there’s no point in pointing fingers at the Alliance, when it’s in just as bad a state as the Horde.

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

You all talk as if the Alliance still has the same leaders it’s always had.

Varian is dead, and Anduin is just a shadow of his former self.

Malfurion and Tyrande are no longer the leaders of the Night Elves, and Shandris doesn’t have half the charisma they do.

The dwarves are led by a trio, and Moira’s son, the supposed future king of the dwarves, is just a teenager. The only person with less charisma than him is Arator, who manages the impressive feat of being a 40-year-old bore who acts like a 17-year-old.

Genn Greymane has effectively retired and vanished, and Tess Greymane isn’t even a Worgen.

Velen is the only Draenei who has been truly relevant to the story since Maraad’s death, a death that served merely as a stepping stone to build up Yrel, only for her to be discarded into a secondary Horde questline just to justify an Allied Race.

Mechagnomes are a bad joke.

Jaina and Velen are the only ones among the current Alliance leadership worth anything, much like Thrall and Lor'themar on the Horde side.

The Lightforged Draenei are led by a human, which is ridiculous; it completely erases their own agency and hands the spotlight over to yet another human.

So, in this regard, I actually agree with the Horde players. By the Light, I hope Turalyon dies, maybe then Blizzard will finally make Captain Fareeya the leader of the Lightforged, give her a proper character model, and provide her with at least some focus and development. I’m so tired of this whole "Light and Shadow family" soap opera; the entire Alliance storyline has revolved solely around Turalyon and Alleria ever since Legion.

Lore Does anyone know what happened to these characters?

I recently started playing again, so I'm a little lost in the story, but I understand that everything's completely messed up, and they need all the help they can get with Xal. That being said, where are these characters?

Thrall - I remember seeing Thrall at the beginning of TWW, but I never saw him again after that.

Jaina - I remember seeing Jaina at the beginning of TWW, but I never saw him again.

rexxar - I believe he's wandering around somewhere, but I don't think it's impossible to communicate with him.

malfurion, tyrande e illidan - I know Illidan's case is more complicated, but where the hell is Malfurion?

chen - Read the same thing I wrote to rexxar.

baine - I swear the last time I saw him was at BFA.

sylvanas - I don't know anything about the lore of Shadowlands, I only know that she was defeated and then redeemed.

dragons in general - What the hell are these guys doing?

I know that some of the characters I mentioned are kind of difficult to communicate with they, but in this case of a global threat, and considering that we are increasingly losing the war to Xal, wouldn't it be worthwhile to try to track down these characters?
