Question/Support who has luke ross's gta 5 enhanced mod?

• Upvotes

I was a bit curious about this mod, im having some issues with it and im not sure if its the game or the mod itself, im having pretty bad ghosting and jittering of moving objects, like cars driving past you if you are standing on a sidewalk, or buildings as you drive by them, anyone else experience this? it's honestly unplayable for me due to this. I have tried disabling dlss and anti aliasing.

I’ve been working on a water-bending game in VR, and put together this short clip of where it’s at. It’s still pretty early, but I wanted to share it and see what people think.

what would you most want to be able to do in a game like this?

Question/Support Need help with PCVR problem

Post image
• Upvotes

I’ve been having a problem whenever I play a pcvr game, there is always this weird tint at the bottom of the lenses. They don’t appear immediately, but it only takes about a minute to appear. I’ll attach a photo of what it looks like. It really makes anything unplayable, as it makes my eyes hurt very quickly. I have a quest 3s, and it doesn’t happen when I play games on standalone. Please can someone help or has anyone else had this problem?

Question/Support Project Zomboid VR Help!

• Upvotes

Installed the game, installed Zombie Buddy, installed Project Viewpoint mod, installed PZVR mod, when the game loads I get the "start in VR" button in the top right. Clicking that just makes the screen not move around.

When I start a new game or load an old one, it's flat screen and I can't close the pause menu at all with controllers. When I try to press 'O' to switch from flat to VR, nothing happens.

I have the load order for the mods set as Zombie Buddy first, Project Viewpoint next, then PZVR. I have no other mods.

Please, can anybody help or point me in the right direction?

Fan-made mod I'm developing that adds full VR support to the Gears of War: E-Day campaign. All footage is real gameplay from the current build.

What already works:

- Full VR support for the entire campaign

- Stereo rendering

- Full-body IK

- Manual reloads and manual weapon switching

- Two-handed aiming

- Fighting from cover

It's an early work-in-progress and will be free at release.

Purchase Advice - Headset Should I buy the steam frame, wait for the quest 4, or buy the 3

I’ve wanted to buy the steam frame for a while now but now I’ve heard it’s pretty mediocre and quest emulation doesn’t have multiplayer (I mainly play indie games on my quest 2) what is the best choice

Question/Support "Quakespasm VR 2" is not starting in VR

Hi, has anyone managed to get "Quakespasm VR 2" (https://github.com/ObeseCatLord/Quakespasm-VR) running in VR? I can't get it to start in VR using Virtual Desktop, Steam VR, or Meta Link—it always launches in flat mode. Even calling it with the "-vr" parameter doesn't help... For example, "Quake VR Unleashed" runs without any issues.

hi folk I couldn't find any vr game in the wild west setting with fun guns so I made one. If anyones interested it's fully free and I would like your opinions and suggestions please. I made it so that the revolvers and the lever action guns work by cocking the hammer by pulling down on the thumbstick. Seemed fun to me.

here's the link. it runs on standalone too (I dont gain anything from it its 16+ and no gamepasses its more of a passion project): https://www.roblox.com/games/129496870944202/Revolver

Discussion VR mods are fine but most are not even truly playable

I don't want to bite the hand that feeds but after playing the whole Titan fall 2 in VR I wanted similar experiences and I got a few games such as hogwarts legacy, and after the cool factor wears off, they are definitely not in a playable state. By playable I mean that while they work in VR, It's hard to just play start to finish as there are many different roadblocks. The game requiring you to press a button not mapped on the controller, parts of the UI invisible, convoluted controls not explained in the game. If I have to play 50% of the time with the headset lifted up, stretched to reach the mouse and keyboard in order to do certain things that can't be done in VR, to me it's not in a playable state.
I've been using pcvrcentral to check if a mod is good or not, but most of these I had trouble with were marked as "native like" or "excellent". I guess Titan fall 2 spoiled me too much? everything feels like such a chore. I just want to enjoy the game not jumping through 100 hoops.

Discussion Blank Screen in Frame Headset and issues with connectivity

I've only ever owned the Frame so if these are well known...I'll kill the post.

If you reboot your streaming PC but don't log in, when you connect with the Frame you'll get a blank screen. You have to have logged in.

If you start your game via Remote Desktop, it too will create a blank screen in the headset.

For those having connectivity/streaming problems with the dongle or network make sure your VPN is turned off.

Question/Support What can you do with a data cable?

Straight to the chase, I recently got a data cable and have been having a blast modding beatsaber using it and now I know absolutely nothing about modding so I wanted to come here and ask is there anything else I could do with the data cable like that? I have seen some people use it to stream games from their pc's but I use a low end laptop so I can only really download stuff e.g beat saber mods, so just a list of things I could use it for that would work on standalone quest 3s would be pretty cool ty :p

Discussion VR isn't dying. We might actually be entering its golden age

With more and more major VR studios shutting down, it's easy to think VR gaming is slowly dying. But I believe we're actually witnessing the beginning of something much bigger, thanks to AI-assisted coding and modding.

Until recently, projects like Team Beef's VR ports largely depended on open-source engines or existing modding tools and documentations. Now, with increasingly capable AI coding agents, even games without source code or official modding support are becoming accessible. Decompilation, recompilation, and reverse engineering are advancing rapidly, including projects bringing former console exclusives to PC. We're not quite at the point of converting any PS5 game overnight, but we're moving in that direction. And once a game runs on PC, creating a VR mod becomes a much more realistic possibility.

This could solve one of VR's biggest problems: content. Many dedicated VR games are relatively short, sometimes stretching gameplay through repetitive mechanics. Meanwhile, traditional gaming has decades of incredible AAA titles with massive worlds, complex systems, and hundreds of hours of content. Why spend millions developing entirely new VR exclusives when we could adapt games that already exist? With AI making development increasingly accessible, I believe we'll eventually see high-quality VR mods appearing much faster than today.

It could also force companies like Sony and third-party publishers to rethink their exclusivity strategies. For years, staggered releases have allowed publishers to sell essentially the same game multiple times. First to PlayStation owners, including PC gamers who bought a console just for certain exclusives, and then again years later when the PC version finally arrived. Some customers effectively paid twice for the same game, while publishers could also benefit from platform exclusivity agreements. Even worse are games like Shadow of the Colossus and ICO, which remain unavailable on PC decades later. As AI-assisted reverse engineering and recompilation advance, keeping games permanently locked to one platform could become increasingly difficult. Unofficial ports may eventually appear long before publishers release their own PC versions, and while legitimate projects can require original game files, unauthorized complete distributions will inevitably follow. Publishers could end up losing potential PC sales instead of earning additional revenue. Of course, modern console ports remain technically challenging, but I believe this business model will face increasing pressure.

My point is that we might eventually no longer need dedicated VR studios to provide us with AAA content. Native VR games will always have advantages, especially when designed around physical interaction, but they won't necessarily have to carry the entire VR market anymore. Traditional developers can continue making great games while the modding community brings them into VR.

Perhaps VR's future isn't about getting more exclusive games. It's about finally being able to experience the enormous library of existing PC and console games in VR. And with AI development accelerating, I think VR's golden age might actually be ahead of us.

  • It is already possible to become immersed within a 6DOF game.
  • The camera moves with your head, but I used the mouse as well since I was sitting down XD

Next Stages:

  • HUD
  • Move the weapons with the VR controllers

Discussion I’m 14 years old and designing a Full Dive VR system architecture. Here is how it works.

Hey everyone! I’m 14 years old and working on a conceptual architecture to achieve true Full Dive VR.

The main goal is to allow a user to enter any virtual world or custom environment — for example, entering the world of Naruto, becoming the main character, and living out his story with 100% realistic physical and sensory immersion.

You might ask: "How is this possible? Isn't it sci-fi?"

My proposed design breaks down the system into two independent processing units (chips):

Brain Chip (Motor Cortex): Intercepts and decodes physical movement commands (walking, running, moving arms, controlling the avatar).

Spinal / Sensory Chip: Handles full sensory and emotional input — pain, fear, scent, touch, and visual perception signals.

Why 2 Chips Instead of 1?

By distributing the processing across two dedicated chips, we prevent single-processor overload and heat buildup. Splitting motor control from sensory/emotional feedback keeps hardware performance stable and temperatures low.

How the Brain Simulates Perception:

The brain operates as the central controller ("the boss"), while neurons act as execution agents ("messengers").

Our brains naturally simulate sensation even before physical contact occurs. For instance, if you imagine striking your foot with a hammer, your mind instinctively triggers a sharp, phantom sensation of pain and alarm.

Visual input normally alerts the brain to danger, triggering fear responses. The Spinal/Sensory chip acts as an artificial sensory proxy, feeding decoded signals for pain, scent, and emotional arousal directly into the nervous system.

Safety, Environment & Consciousness:

Life-Support Pod: The user remains inside a specialized pod monitored by an AI system tracking heart rate, respiration, and vital signs.

Motor Inhibition: The body is placed into a deep sleep / medically suspended state to prevent physical movement in the real world while active in VR.

Memory Suspension: Real-world memories are temporarily suppressed during the session to maximize immersion, restoring automatically upon waking up or logging out.

Neuralink has already demonstrated that thought-controlled cursor movement is possible. Expanding this into full-body motor control and sensory feedback is the logical next evolutionary step.

I’m giving myself a 4-year timeline to fully flesh out this framework, study the underlying neurobiology, electronics, and algorithms, and build a complete blueprint.

Feel free to ask questions, share technical critiques, or drop your ideas below — I’ll respond to everyone! 🚀🧠

Audio is louder and has much better low-end. They snap on and don’t move or touch the ear. Definitely adds to immersion
