Please use /r/DeadlockTheGame's "Ask for playtest invites here" megathread for requesting or giving away invitations
Grave Johnson here.
"Grave Johnson here. As you may have noticed, me and the lab boys have figured out how to cheat death. Good news is that me and the lab boys are immortal. Thumbs-up for that. Really good for Halloween marketing, too. Bad news? No more skin. Or organs. Real inconvenient for the mandated 5-minute lunch-break. So effective immediately, we're getting rid of the lunch-break. Also effective immediately, necromantic resurrection is mandatory for all employees. Grave Johnson out."
Please enjoy my silly image and writing, happy Ween

Why has Valve released the SDK for TF2 but not other Source 1 titles like L4D/2?
I'd argue they deserve it more and if Valve can release it for tf2 then why not it's other games. I would love to read it for making mods and personal learning.

Ace Combat 8 Steam Machine performance
Hey everyone!
I tried Ace Combat 8 today on the machine, results weren't terrible but they weren't fantastic either. 1440 is going to see you around 40-50fps depending what's happening on screen (closer to 60fps if you're in the clouds away from the ground) 1080P will see you in the range around 50-60.
All in all definitely playable I just expected to be able to push it a little further!

Half-life is the only series that needs another sequel
cs2,dota 2 and deadlock are still being worked on. tf2,l4d2 and dod:s are still fun to play to this day. Portal 2 was a perfect ending and nobody cares about ricochet

I made a free stats site with death heatmaps by rank, farm routes and patch buff/nerf breakdowns
Hey everyone! I've been working on a free Deadlock stats site as a side project and wanted to share it: https://soulscope.pro
No ads, no login, works on mobile.
What's on it:
- Death & fight heatmap by rank โ see where players at your rank die most and which spots are the most dangerous, split by game phase (laning / mid / late)
- Farm map โ suggested farm routes with arrows and souls per route, plus how many souls every zone is worth (camps, Sinner's Sacrifice, crates, etc.) at a given minute

-Tier list by rank with win/pick/ban-style metrics and changes vs last week

-Hero pages with builds by game phase

-Counter items โ pick the enemy heroes and get items that work against them, with reasons

- Patch tracker โ every patch line auto-tagged as buff/nerf with an overall verdict per hero, plus win rate before vs after

-Lane duos โ best and worst lane partner combos

Stats come from the public deadlock-api.com data, and the site updates for new patches and heroes. I'd really appreciate feedback โ what's missing, what's wrong, what would you actually use? The farm routes especially are computed automatically, so if you know better routes, tell me and I'll tweak it.

Ive got a crackpot theory
About one or two days ago. Epic games tweeted they vibe coded the newest egl update "mogging" steams boot up time. And the same day valve updated steam decreasing boot up time.
Now idk about you, but what if valve paid epic to just tweet bullshit for marketing? Epic knows egl isnt their strong suit. Fortnite and unreal engine is. But steam is valves strong suit.
No shade to either ceos theyre just doing buisness
