Requesting Videos of Preacher on Campus Today

Hi everyone! First time posting here. I’m looking for video recordings or witnesses of the preacher that was on campus today outside of Willis from around noon to 2pm. I heard him encourage verbal sexual harassment of gay men in the audience today when I passed by and I am planning on reporting it to the school. Unfortunately, I could never have expected him to say something like that so I do not have evidence of it. If anyone witnessed this or took videos, could you please dm me? If there are either enough witnesses or video evidence I believe there is grounds to have him not allowed on campus anymore.
To make it very clear, this was not an interaction protected under free speech. Verbatim, the interaction was this:

Preacher: going on about being gay is a sin (protected under first amendment, I disagree, but whatever technically allowed on campus)

Male Student: I LOVE GAY SEX!
other students yell, whistle, clap, etc

(TW for preacher response: mention of graphic medical event, and homophobic of course)
Preacher: I’ve got two words for the homosexual men here. Prolapsed. Anus. Do you guys know what that is? (says something I couldn’t make out) I want everyone to turn to the nearest male homosexual and ask them if they wear a diaper. (Continues on about gay sex and not scientifically accurate consequences of it)

It is totally absurd to type out but this is a real event that happened when I just wanted to go to the library to study. Preaching about religion is one thing, I’m not a Christian, I don’t care if I’m told I’m going to hell for being gay, but encouraging people to verbally harass gay men nearby is hate speech and encroaching upon our rights as queer students to a safe learning environment. I’m planning on bringing it to the university, even if nothing comes of it, because this is wrong. If you feel the same way and have evidence to support this event occurring, either through video or witnessing it, please dm me.

TLDR; Preacher encourages harassment of gay students, looking for video or witness accounts of this occurring as evidence for a report to the university

Transfer here, who should I contact about updating my transcript?

I transferred this semester, but when I was accepted I had not finished my summer courses yet at my community college. I recently remembered that it hadn't been updated on my degree plan yet, so I was wondering who I should email/get an appointment with to sort that out? I just sent my official transcript to the University through my community college, (I think the website was parchment) but I wanted to know if there was anything else I needed to do to get that sorted.

UNT CSCE 3550 Cybersecurity with Jacob Hochstetler + Recommended TECM 4000-Level Professors for Spring 2027

Hey everyone! I’m taking CSCE 3550 (Cybersecurity) with Professor Jacob Hochstetler. Has anyone taken a class with him before? I’d appreciate it if you could share how he is as a professor, how his exams are, what kind of questions he asks, how difficult the class is, and any tips for doing well.

Also, I need to take a 4000-level TECM course in Spring 2027. Can anyone recommend a good professor for a TECM 4000-level class? I’d really appreciate any suggestions about professors who teach well and have fair exams and grading.

Thanks in advance!

Any way to swap an 8-week class (started oct 12)? Professor used a lot of AI and the course makes no sense at this point.

So, I just started my DANC 1200 class last week. The assignments seemed off at the beginning, with two discussions that clearly were supposed to be different prompts, but it's like they were just copy and pasted. Professor said in the syllabus that the reading would be provided, then didn't provide it, didn't respond to emails, and quizzed over it. The quiz was so blatantly AI, with an AI response in the description. Screenshots are posted below. Basically, the questions didn't make any sense (for example, asking me to write and paste a first page of a paper example in MLA format... in a one-line text box? Marking answers wrong that were correct (for example, late policy, book being used, grading system - screenshots of the syllabus provided on this post for funsies), and the other short answer questions were all marked wrong and it said the correct answer was "span"?? I don't think there's any way to swap this class and if I drop it, I'll lose my scholarship for not having enough credit hours. I'm not sure what to do. Thank you.

Title: URGENT! Need Advice on TECM 4000-Level Writing Professors for Spring 2027

Hey everyone! I need some urgent advice. I need to take a 4000-level TECM writing class in Spring 2027, and these are the professors I found:

Lewis Paula Ann
Mason Trevor Pellegrini (Dalin)
Chris Yan Ho Lam
Jiaxin Zhang
Krahmer Ana Jean

If anyone has taken a class with any of these professors, please let me know how your experience was.

I am mainly looking for a professor who is easier to work with, has reasonable assignments, and is fair with grading. How are their exams, essays, workload, and overall teaching style?

Please recommend which professor you think I should take. I would really appreciate any advice because I need to make this decision soon.
Thank you!

I have a 3.904 and received an email stating I am eligible for summa cum laude status, but am unfortunately on track to get a B in one of my classes this semester :( the email stated that transcripts are taken on dec. 4th but final grades aren't taken by the university until dec. 16th?? so are final grades taken into account before or after the ceremony? im just curious so I know what latin honors they'll announce when I walk the stage. Any Wind Studies members know when the ensemble audition information for the spring is being posted?

Title. I know this probably isn’t the best place to ask which would be an email to the staff, but I am about to leave for work and dont have time to send an email until later.

Im a transfer student looking to submit an interest form and audition like it says in the spring auditions page, but I see nothing has been posted and we’re over halfway into October. If noone can answer thats fine, just making a post to see if theres any semi-public information dropped about this by any of the members, thank you

Question for UNT students living in dorms with sensitive skin or eczema

Hey everyone,

I am a graduate student and Texas mom whose family deals with sensitive skin and eczema flare-ups. I have heard from several college students that dorm water and communal bathrooms can really irritate your skin, and campus options for gentle hygiene products are pretty limited.

I am working on a project called First Year Fresh focused on curating full-size, hypoallergenic and dermatologist-recommended essentials like Cetaphil lotion and cleanser alongside Dove Sensitive care specifically for college dorms.

For those living in the residence halls: what personal care or sensitive skin basics do you run out of first mid-semester? Would love to hear what UNT students actually need most.

Tips for new students?

Hello! I was accepted to UNT a little less than a month ago (their admissions move QUICK), and I was trying to compile a list of things I'd need for college come next year. Do y'all have any tips as to what to expect or things I should look into purchasing/bringing from home? I got accepted for Health Informatics and would like to live on campus (probably a dorm) my first year, if that changes anything. Thanks! :)

i'm super surprised since i submitted my application three days ago, but i checked the portal today and i am officially admitted! it might be because i'm auto-admit but idrk how it works lolll. i'm very happy since their journalism program is great and the campus is close to home. i'm curious if any current journalism majors have any insight to what the program is like! :)

About scholarship

Hey everyone! I recently transferred to UNT, and this is my first semester here. I received the UNT Transfer Excellence Scholarship, which also gives me in-state tuition.

I’m worried that my GPA might fall below 3.00 this semester (maybe around 2.5–2.75).

I called UNT Financial Aid yesterday and explained my situation multiple times. The representative told me that since my scholarship was awarded for the entire academic year, I should be fine as long as I bring my cumulative GPA back to 3.00 or above by the end of spring.

However, I also emailed the scholarship office, and they replied that eligibility is evaluated semester by semester, which confused me.

Has anyone actually been in this situation? Did you lose your scholarship or in-state tuition waiver immediately after fall, or were you allowed to improve your GPA during spring?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced this, especially Transfer Excellence Scholarship recipients. Thank you!

I have an internship the first 8 weeks of next spring but need to take an easy 8W2 class so i can stay active in my student organization. Business major.
